After having chosen two of the more sturdy tracks from Clockwork's full length released on Parachute's mother label
'Life And Death' in 2013, we were immediately hit with a question. "What does Parachute aim to give"Useless to say we wanted to promptly set the pace and italicize originality but at the same time, quality.According to us there was no better way to succeed in our intent than to summon these two artists to take care of this extensive task.

The diversity of the beats and bass scene is reflected in the Rotterdam based label Lowriders Recordings. The new release by Know V.A. is a perfect example of the ever shifting and developing scene. Know V.A. and their mixture of styles is an obvious concurrence. The first release on Low by Know V.A. is called O Horizon and is filled with blunt drum-programming like it was 1994 completed with threatening tone contrasted with field recordings and all this together into a gritty dancefloor set. The name O Horizon, is also known as the forest floor, which is the lowest layer of a rainforest. The O stands for organic matter and is a place of spontaneous growth and continuous decay. The constant struggle for sunlight resembles the dynamics of the EP. Know V.A. are listed by Djbroadcast as Dutch producers to watch for 2014. Their recent Slowjamz release (and remix ep) got favored by artists like Plastician, Darkhouse Family and DJ Shadow. They are resident dj's for HOAX in Amsterdam and shared stage with big names in the scene. The choices for the remixes really add power to the release. Dj Earl & Dj Taye takes the drum sounds and the melody to another consciousness. American grime producer Rabit takes the floor filler Donkey Kong apart and creates a spooky masculine abstraction. Never one to sit still, core Delsin artist Conforce is back with a brand new EP on his most regular label. North To South Part 1 is the first EP in a two-party story featuring four fresh cuts, it is another deep exploration of musical subtlety and rich sonic design that comes tied to some of the Dutchman's more propulsive drum work. Minimood Extra's forthcoming release is a vinyl only, red 12" affair that features two novel reworks of dub techno wizard David Hausdorf's legendary Salo release 'Space Walk'. Germany's David Hausdorf has been turning out expertly crafted deep techno since the late nineties. He did so on labels like Synaptic Waves as well as Styrax Leaves, and in 2002 served up his classic 'Space Walk' on the epic Berlin based imprint Salo.
First up is the 2015 Version. It is a ten minute piece of heady, hypnotic techno with soft rubber drums, gently propulsive percussion and icy high-hats that add a real sense of scale and depth to the track. With slick boom-bap bite in the claps and hits, this is the sort of expertly reduced track that will lock dance floors in for hours.
Then comes the 2015 Reshape, which again makes full use of its 10 minute length. There is a little more edgy reverb in this one, the drums are more upright and the pads are a little more rippling and rolling. It's a liquid groove as a result, and one that is near faultless for the way it rolls on and on without any friction.

Aether Series is home for bass heavy and DJ-friendly experimental music and sound art. The first release of the series is Ikola's mini-LP titled 'Core', originally recorded for 'Machine Soul - the documentary film' soundtrack. The film focuses on pioneering Finnish electronic music artists such as Mika Vainio, Jori Hulkkonen and Jimi Tenor. The score is composed as a tribute to their work and is now released as an independent piece on vinyl.

The much loved and mysterious R-Zone series rolls on here with another new EP, this time made up of three more moody and atmospheric cuts. First track 'Visions Of A Deepweb' is a slow and predatory crawl through a barren cosmic landscape. Synths spiral around you and encase you in paranoia as heavy drums trudge out a groove below. The track grows ever more stormy and turbulent, never letting your attention wane. 'Xochisa Wakening' is a much more spacious and less intense affair with no drums, just dripping water; tons of reverb and groaning deep space ambient sounds that suggest you are in total free fall. Continuing with the intergalactic feel, the final track 'Positive Sequence' sounds like a voyage through space, with heavenly pads adding tons of beautiful atmosphere, gently ticking percussion driving things along and plenty of little sonic details all drifting by in the background. Various cinematic images play out in your mind throughout this EP, and that makes it all the more appealing as a result.

Through dense layers of noise, brittle beats, found sounds and a general haze, Francis Harris returns to his own Scissor and Thread imprint, with the aid of frequent collaborator, and longtime friend, guitarist Gabe Hedrick, under the guise Aris Kindt. Following Harris' 2014 sophomore solo album, Minutes of Sleep,' (named Electronic Album of the Year by Mojo Magazine,) the duo's quintessential album debut, Floods,' takes as its focus, the late author W.G. Sebald's profound interpretation of Rembrandt's 1632 master work, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp. Floods' is a sonic journey into the heart of the body, a bold rejuvenation of Adriaan Adriaanszoon (Aris Kindt), once a mere cadaver on a cold metal slab, now a living breathing human at the heart of a creative shift in vantage point from object to active subject. Much in the same way Rembrandt intended with the painting itself, Floods' attempts to subvert the listeners memory of a moment. Written within a span of over a year using an 808, a modular eurorack and two guitars, Floods' was mixed at Keyclub Recording Company in late August with Engineer Bill Skibbe. The album charts new territory for both Harris and Hedrick, melding a long history with electronic music and youthful love for indie noise, weaving in and out of near silence and sheering walls of sound with a gentle and constant heartbeat at its core. The dream-like murk of album opener Now Grey' sets the tone with thick pads, distant, ghostly guitar work and fragmented drums. On the title track, dubby chords set the tone, as subdued toms amble forward, with a crackling of fire nearby, as a dense sounds echo and swirl around into a climactic frenzy. Exploring the North & Pinewood Lodge see Rod Modell on more Deep Techno excursions as beautifully sweeping pads and glistening synths drift by ever evolving, perfectly processed atmospheres. Deepchord's unique use of subtle field recordings throughout give both of these tracks a real heady/druggy quality and his seamless loops allow you to drift of into his fully developed dream world. Shot Point delves into straight up ambient territory with Deepchord striking an unearthly balance between the natural and synthetic world. Yet more flawlessly collected field recordings wash away on an ocean of reverb soaked pads, drowning the listener within its mesmerising tides.

#N/A (literally, Nisennenmondai with Adrian Sherwood) is a new studio album which sees the cult Japanese trio filtering their epic motorik jams through the mixing desk of the legendary dub producer.
Nisennenmondai are three girls from Tokyo, Sayaka Himeno (drums), Yuri Zaikawa (bass) and Masako Takada (guitar), who have been playing instrumental music together since 1999. From their initial beginnings as a noisy no wave band openly referencing influences such as Sonic Youth, DNA and This Heat, they have since honed and streamlined their sound into a more minimalistic pulse with an emphasis on the hypnotic possibilities of repetition, creating a sound that can be likened to 'organic techno'.
Much beloved by other musicians including Battles, Prefuse 73 and Chris & Cosey (Throbbing Gristle), in recent years they have made more connections to dance culture, in particular with their 2015 collaboration live and on record with electronic producer Shackleton.
Recording their new album with Sherwood has resulted in them sounding bigger than ever before, with a greater emphasis on small rhythmic details and subtle dub touches, reminiscent in places of the classic Basic Channel sound.
This international edition of the album includes 2 bonus 'live dub mixes'. Whilst Adrian showed considerable restraint in his production job on the studio album, on a subsequent live date at Tokyo's Unit club he was recorded deploying a wild array of FX tricks, dropping in splashes of cavernous reverb and space echo delay to the performance of two pieces previous album N'.

This is the first album Oscar Mulero has released under his own name, after two acclaimed LPs under the moniker Trolley Route. Well known for his skills as a hard-edged, raw and floor-orientated techno dj, his productions go far beyond, digging deep into the intricate landscape of intelligent techno, floating moods, reminiscent atmospheres, harmony and detail.

Modern Love very rarely reaches out to artists outside of its immediate surroundings; it's happened just a couple of times in the last 14 years. But there's something about Philippe Hallais that compelled the label to ask him if he wanted to do something together.
Philippe has released music on a bunch of cool labels (L.I.E.S., The Trilogy Tapes, Delsin, In Paradisum), but hearing the first tracks recorded for Lighthouse Stories, it was obvious Philippe was hitting on something new: a kinda weird slow/fast dance music that sounded like a Footwork variant sewn up with an exotic production style that was impossible to pin down.
These tracks eventually splintered off into different directions, held together by a strong sense of narrative and motion harking back to a teenage obsession with Turntablism, Detroit electro and Ghetto house, and eventually Juke and Grime. Although he's spent the last few years focusing on more industrial dancefloor variants, for Lighthouse Stories Philippe turned to these foundational influences, as well as his love of mixtapes and sound collages full of unfinished ideas, skits and experiments; all things that inform the flow of this new album.
Lighthouse Stories captures a sense of nostalgia well, but is also a futuristic vision full of that exploratory, vibrant spirit that's so hard to find in electronic music these days. Frames of reference are hard, but in places it reminds us of the dusted swagger of Anthony Shake Shakir, the acquatic Drexciyan movements of Ultradyne, a loose-limbed take on Shangaan, and of Actress at his most submerged.
But ultimately, it's an album made by a producer looking to his personal history while forging new ground, pushing ahead with little regard to convention and ultimately ending up with something completely unique: a kind of intimate journal rendered in bright colours and odd shapes.

You've got to love a label sampler where the artist field says "various".
It simply means you're not going to get any padding. You won't find any pointless stuff on your plate, just a collection of A-Sides from different producers and in this case, the four servings of meat on this one dish are of particularly high, organic value.
The first thoroughbred track, I understand, was raised on a free-range farm somewhere in the Croatian lowlands by sexy DJ/farmer Mariano Mateljan.
The aptly named Pigeon Boxer is a real sultry little groover, a simple but chunky beat just jacks along, nice and confidently. Drop bits in, take bits out, the rhythm will do the rest.
A very, very good bit of real deep house. So we're off to a bloody good start down at Infuse's inner city groove farm; which, by the way, is a sub label of Fuse, one of London's top club nights.
Lets just put a bolt gun straight through the face of this weird farm/food metaphor thing going on because, as I'm sure you'll agree, it's getting fucking tiresome.
Anyhoo (anymoo), next up comes Swiss producer Alci who provides another fine example of minimal house with Justice. With hypnotic synths that echo about on the far horizon, they're met head-on by a huge round bassline.
When the drums join in, in full, that same kind of laid-back but very danceable vibe comes through again, it's impossible to not bop your head along, at least.
Uh-oh, here comes Dutch weirdy Ferro with his track Semmer. Gone are the straight 4x4 beats of previous, we're welcomed by a sordid little piece of off-kilter, fucked up minimal.
At nine minutes long, Semmer is quite a piece of work and if you could find the right kind of dancefloor I'm sure it would drive them insane, if they weren't a little already.
Last comes the crackling, low-down vibes of Ghent badman Steve Abot who gives us the very cinematic, moody sounds of Sovereign.
Though only on their third release, with tracks like these, infuse are making their sound known very quickly. Quite possibly the new home of deep and moody bass-filled house in London.

Widely considered one of the hallmarks of dub-infused electronic music, as well as an endless resource of inspiration and awe for generations of electronic music artists and enthusiasts, Vibrant Forms II by Fluxion is now being reissued by Subwax Bcn. Originally released on Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald's revered Chain Reaction label in 2000, the many calls for a reissue of this cavernous remastered masterpiece has finally been answered by the Barcelona imprint.

This time Tiefenrausch welcomes a new artist in their dub techno family. Förster joins the label with his Aqua Viridis EP and presents a debut with three tracks. As part of his - Grün series, every track stands for a different vibe of the genre. The A-Side comes with a pumping, reduced smasher, that definetely aims on the dancefloor. Side B brings more immersed deepnes. - Grün XV and - Grün XVIII evoke an abyss and enwind the listener with dublime deepness. All covered up by the artwork of Alex Ketzer and the imagery from Jules Vernes - 20.000 leagues under the sea .

The Invariants is a brand new label and production project from Amsterdam. The first release contains four tracks recorded in the fall of 2012. The new DIY label looks set to become a firm favourite with connoisseurs of the deep everywhere. The opening track of the debut EP is a wide-open bit of ambient soundscaping. Distant muffled voices, lush pads that stretch and smear in soothing, cerebral ways and sombre synths all make it a magical opener. The A2 is similar in its smooth textures but is underpinned by a warm, rubbery, thudding kick drum that propels things along at an inviting pace. The pads are just as emotive and serene, though, initially sounding insular and sorry for themselves before a little light and optimism does come in in the latter stages. On the flip, B1 is a much slower and lazier affair: crisp but icy hi hats are as far apart as the drums. Rippling chords roll in the foreground and a slowly emerging sense of groove gets fleshed out with richly reverbing claps and rising pads. Seriously moody stuff, the EP gets finished in real style by the deep, whacked out and mid tempo electro groove of the B2. Humid but run through with frazzled synths, there is plenty of pain as well as hopefulness in the tracks The Invariants create. On this evidence, this is a project that knows just how much is enough to really stimulate mind, body and soul.

Eclectic dance music activist Simone Gatto is set to release his debut album ‚Detachment' on New York based outlet Sheik 'N' Beik.

The album represents the path of life, the flow of time and the emotions occurring in human beings from their birth to death in an audio & visual experience.

Gatto's debut album also summarizes the artist's personal journey both musically and culturally. From a philosophical point of view Detachment is the process through which human beings implement a series of actions in order to search, find and maintain interior wellness. A means through which human beings can forget the capitalistic world and relive the essence of ethical values. Detachment is reuniting with its own spiritual sphere, allowing one to become immune to negative circumstances, imbalances, misconducts and pessimism.

Each track describes a way to relive, assimilate and react to events and memories of the past. This leads us to a stage of happiness and awareness, which is obtainable exclusively in places that are meaningful and in the company of people who are dear to us.

The album is punctuated by a lyrical voyage of discovery, including various elements of ambient music, electronic downbeat and techno. Simone touches sonorous and emotional extremes that are distant and deep at the same time.We encounter gloomy and luminous atmospheres, joyful and melancholic textures, loose and pressing rhythms characterize the audio visual journey throughout the twelve tracks. Feeling reminded of common life impressions, we experience the tracks like hybrids ranging between phases of tension, impasse, calm, wellbeing, discomfort, happiness and equilibrium.
The artwork and painting ‚Detachment' was commissioned by Giorgio Casu.

He worked to translate Simone's vision & feelings through the painting. Depicting emotions within a naturalistic scenery. While the painting will be showcased on the outside album artwork, the inside of the album contains a special collage from Simone's homeland which is an ideal location for spiritual isolation and full immersion in Detachment'.

The argentinian Gonzalo MD has just recently created a lot of buzz around his person with releases on the french
label Knotweed Records.
You can clearly hear that he has got his very own style of techno, his synths are very extensive and hypnotic
and his kickdrums are very sub-heavy.
The original of Northern Lights is the perfect example for those extensive synths.
Strck is has given his Remix his very own touch by using his typical loopy and ecstatic sounds.
Lee Holman converted the record into something faster and more hard hitting using the synths and highlighted bleeps.
on B2 and B3 we have two more of Gonzalos great original Records. Deep Purple is one hell of a banging, hypnotic
90s-Techno example while Modulat is pulsing rather deep using a lovely hatgroove.

Amandra completes the Ahrpe series by releasing his first album. Swedish artist Evigt Morker joins the project with a punchy edit.

Delsin present a new EP by B12 aka Steve Rutter entitled Orbiting Souls, a name which comes from the fact the veteran artist has recently spent contemplating the loss of a friend and believes we are surrounded by lost souls and spirits. This is B12's second EP this year following on from the Bokide 325 release on Soma Records and comes years after still acclaimed album like Electro-Soma and TimeTourist on Warp Records back in the 90s. Orbiting Souls is a somewhat complex journey, a representation of inner Bi Polar opposites; isolation; sadness, but also acknowledging the great and wonderful things around that swirl and support and energise us. A perfectly formed sound world that is both absorbing and cerebral and comes with a full colour sleeve by Boris Tellegen.

Max Würden invites to Transit, an intense ambient trip through lush sonic felds as well as dark sound tunnels. Atmospheric feld recordings invite their listeners to stay a while - right before the dub beats reliably push the tempo. So get in, take a seat and let yourself go. Your journey begins here.

For their first Record Store Day vinyl, Dusky's 17 Steps unveil a much requested club cut from the label bosses themselves in 'Buckets'. A dark, murky groover full of heaving basslines, swampy beats and cut-up soul vocals, 'Buckets' has been popping up in Dusky mixes for a couple of years, earning it cult status amongst their hardcore following and making it a perfect choice for a limited collectors vinyl. It comes backed with a twisted two-step remix from Swamp 81's Paleman.

#N/A (literally, Nisennenmondai with Adrian Sherwood) is a new studio album which sees the cult Japanese trio filtering their epic motorik jams through the mixing desk of the legendary dub producer.
Nisennenmondai are three girls from Tokyo, Sayaka Himeno (drums), Yuri Zaikawa (bass) and Masako Takada (guitar), who have been playing instrumental music together since 1999. From their initial beginnings as a noisy no wave band openly referencing influences such as Sonic Youth, DNA and This Heat, they have since honed and streamlined their sound into a more minimalistic pulse with an emphasis on the hypnotic possibilities of repetition, creating a sound that can be likened to 'organic techno'.
Much beloved by other musicians including Battles, Prefuse 73 and Chris & Cosey (Throbbing Gristle), in recent years they have made more connections to dance culture, in particular with their 2015 collaboration live and on record with electronic producer Shackleton.
Recording their new album with Sherwood has resulted in them sounding bigger than ever before, with a greater emphasis on small rhythmic details and subtle dub touches, reminiscent in places of the classic Basic Channel sound.
This international edition of the album includes 2 bonus 'live dub mixes'. Whilst Adrian showed considerable restraint in his production job on the studio album, on a subsequent live date at Tokyo's Unit club he was recorded deploying a wild array of FX tricks, dropping in splashes of cavernous reverb and space echo delay to the performance of two pieces previous album N'.
