After some ground-breaking live shows and their 2016 debut release for ART - London Modular Alliance have gone from strength to strength to become one of the most in-demand and popular electronic acts. Their brash yet sophistictaed brain-melting tracks have been featured at clubs and festivals worldwide incl. London’s Planetarium, Reaktor - Amsterdam, Printworks - London, etc. LMA themselves have described ART20 as their favourite collection yet - and indeed the production skills on display are stunningly impressive. Space and dynamics are tough to master yet when it is handled correctly it leaves room for a heavyweight sonic assault as displayed here. From the creepy, sinister yet tongue-in-cheek vibes of Lavendah - to the lush Detroit/IDM style breakdowns of Peach Hat. Harnessed Black Holes is the perfect cruiser track - stately and majestic whilst the EP ends with the throbbing, strobe light-only style of title track Precious Materials. Another landmark release from these fine purveyors of Electronica. ART is proud to present ART20 early this summer 2019.

The first two releases of Michael Frosinone on his own imprint "Unpredictable" are already a collector's item, and have been played by house and techno djs all around the world. The third release of the american veteran engineer who doesn't like too much to interact with the music press and the show business is a maxi single with two dancefloor anthems arranged and mastered in his majestic analogue studio. Both tracks are pounding and acidic, with tight drums and a strong dance-appeal. An essential release, that would be limited to 300 copies, as a desire of Michael to have a closer relationship with his fans.

Dutch pioneer MG (aka Gert van Veen) is responsible for a series of huge house classics to ever emerge from the Netherlands: A-men's Pay The Piper, Quazar's Seven Stars, House of Venus' Dish & Tell. The list is long. Under his lesser known moniker Zodiac Trax, Gert produced some of his moodiest material. Released in 1992 in two parts, these beautifully crafted tracks remained fairly unknown up to this day. For this re-issue Frame Of Mind selected the deepest tunes from the obscure series. A previously unreleased track called Planet X is included!

For the techno heads among us, yes, the B sides delivered it. B1 start with Bas Amro with his emotional melodies and deep grooves. The closing track for this EP is by Ben Buitendijk, who delivered a true masterpiece 'Detroit Techno Lovers' don't miss it!

Obrotka is one of Budapest's main stay DJ's. A member of the Astronaut music events team, as well a tried dancefloor entertainer. He invites Horatio to deliver remixes... and the larger than life eastern European who runs Natural Rhythm label arrives boasting two remixes!
First up his 'Budapest' remix, and he takes the energy levels up and delivers a chunky peak time techno rework.
Secondly his 'Bucharest' remix for deeper and tripped out moments, deep and devastating!
Rounding things off we find Obrotka's own dub of his Hafen City. This is a rather sparse and chunky deep techie vibed goodie. Filled with bleepy low end and skippy beats melt as spacious fx adds depth.

Evod Music is glad to welcome Binny and Dj Surgeles on its limited catalogue. The English dancefloor killer and the Dutch sci-fi master fused perfectly together on this split EP. Organic by Binny is a perfect tool, thanks to its mesmerizing acid sequence, masterfully fused with powerful drum patterns and hypnotic drone raids. Missing Link is another killer tool, perfect for a dance floor full of people. Its old school sound and the various changes make this track a must have. The B side is managed by Dj Surgeles, with three outstanding sci-fi tracks. Science Fiction contains a randomic, spaced out sequence blended with heavy drums and various drum patterns variations. Commander Pete is the most Millsesque track: in this piece there is a real space ambience, thanks to a its far pads, the electronic ringings and bleep sounds incursions that create a constant suspense, broken by the interruption from an astronaut radio message. The EP is closed by Message To Earth, an ambient outro that fits perfectly with all the other tracks.

Dutch producer and live act Conforce is back with 'Autonomous', a fifth artist album and the latest in his long relationship with Delsin Records. Conforce is Boris Bunnik, a producer who explores the deepest realms of dub, house, techno and electro under many different names. His Conforce alias is where his most club orientated material comes from and this new nine track album finds the Transcendent label boss producing dark syntheses inspired by his hometown and harbour city, Rotterdam, and its automated industries. A masterfully conceptual album that really paints a vivid picture of a harbour as heard from deep down in the depths.

With a brimming catalogue of music that operates in the more adventurous quarters of the techno music genre, A Sagittariun preps his first release of 2018, with a remix disc of one the Holy Grail of tracks from one of the most endearing electronic acts of the 1990s. The Sabres Of Paradise, AKA Andrew Weatherall, Gary Burns and Jagz Kooner, released a clutch of acclaimed albums, singles and remixes between the years 1992 and 1995, when the trio disbanded. Three albums for Warp, remixes of The Future Sound Of London, Leftfield & Lydon, Bjork, New Order and The Dust Brothers (AKA Chemical Brothers), and not forgetting the now legendary 'Smokebelch II' single, which must have soundtracked hundreds of thousands of sunsets and chillout after hours over the years, have left a huge treasure trove of a catalogue as part of their legacy. One production though has gone down in Sabres folklore, since its release was limited to inclusion on one multi artist compilation CD album only, and it is this track, 'Lick Wid Nit Wit', that A Sagittariun has unearthed, licensed and re-moulded, 25 years after it was produced, for release on his Elastic Dreams label.

Texas-based electronic music producer Phillip Washington aka Cygnus was on bit of a hiatus since his phenomenal "Cosmos" long play on Fundamental Records, released near the end of 2016. With this EP, titled "ne0 ge0", he's breaking the silence and we're extremely happy to see it happening through Barba imprint. The record consists of 4 cuts; "Zone Shifting", "Vertexing", "ne0-ge0" and "Astronoot" which all share common qualities of his previous work - deep, spacey, richly textured and really well crafted. "Zone Shifting" is what electro in 2018 should sound like. Deep, emotional and futuristic but well grounded in the human condition through the vocal line which seems to haunt from the distance. "Vertexing" is a slightly more paced, moodier affair with slow enveloping Vangelis-esque synth lines bleeding all over traditional electro sounding beat. However, in this case that's exactly what's needed. Title track, "ne0-ge0" is the first one on the flip side and the busiest one. Creasing of multiple synth lines and pads is done in such an expertly elegant manner that you just can't resist but play it loud on a big soundsystem and see what it does to the dancefloor. And finally, record closes with "Astronoot", and as B2 tracks usually are - it's the deepest of them all, reserved for those heady moments when you need something to bring the magic to the next level.

Fort Romeau & Ali Tillet's Cin Cin imprint return with another impeccable release that showcases fresh and forward thinking leftfield house for discerning heads and feet.  X.O.A., the London based multi-instrumentalist also known as Nick Tyson, collaborates with the electronic duo Wayward for two tracks.  'Koto' and 'Wayo Wayo' both fuse smooth percussive afro-house elements with tougher synth lines, each track encompassing energetic rhythms and absorbing melodies and lead lines.  

On the flip, DrumTalk follow up recent releases on Huntleys & Palmers and Permanent Vacation with a pair of machine driven, techno infused cuts par excellence.   'Ariel' mixes disco bleeps, loose drums and waves of vocal pads and arpeggiated leads that ecstatically rise and fall, and on 'Red Haze' we are treated to modulated drums and an infectious bassline that welcome in a myriad of sounds without ever losing the deadly driving groove that is the track's backbone.

Cryovac Recordings is proud to release its' 20th edition on random colored vinyl. Cryovac is a gathering of minds that work together to create a physical record of their sound in this time. We go our own way in production and arrangement for our personal vision to endure. Our goal is to add a new layer to the Detroit soundscape.

D.J. Roach is a techno activist with a rhythm agenda of percussive techno. His banging and clanging romps rock through breakdowns and back again. Conga and claps work together to form a shaky funk. what is needed for a healthy dancefloor.

A.Garcia's subtle drone rides waves of synth in an offering of minimal ease. His moody atmosphere turns tone in soulful harmony; while simple drumming builds to a nonchalant bop. The rise and fall of the elements allow you to examine the track on all sides. Garcia smoothes out an early morning gem that is taylormade for a smoke.

HEADPHONIQ drops an amazing album from the creator of the WARP remix! ILO fuses together a raw mix of deep house, jazz dub, disco & Detroit techno! Imagine DERRICK MAY, MAW, BJORK, KRAFTWERK, CARL CRAIG, PEPE BRADOCK & ROY AYERS make music together & you come close to what the sound of this is.

The brilliantly beguiling R-Zone series hits release number 20 with another genre defying four track EP by no one knows who. As always, the music looks backwards to go forwards and frantically blends breakbeat, rave, acid, house, electro and techno into wild new forms. The Geometry of Shadows kicks off with a flurry of pinging kick drums, rushing synths and smeared chords that manage to be physical yet serene at the same time. Chrysalis is deep Detroit style house with gurgling basslines and warm future soul synths extending off into the cosmos. Ship of Tears then races through the galaxies as asteroids, shooting sci-fi synths and glassy melodies all fly by in enchanting fashion, Acid is buried deep within and the drum programming is busy and direct. The Parliament of Dreams closes things down with more haunting celestial pads and cold acid lines that are all backed by boom-bap breakbeats. It's dance floor euphoria of the highest order once more.

Baxter and Barnett, creators and founding members of FOUR313, now have a second FOUR313 release and this time out the dynamic duo unleashes a well-rounded, four track vinyl EP. Side A has two songs produced by Blake Baxter with A1 being a Detroit house styled tune titled 'Agape', featuring Blake's classic, soft-spoken word style. A2 is a party starter, big room, dance-floor filler appropriately titled 'Let's Get It Started'. Side B has two tracks produced by Thomas Barnett with B1 aptly titled "Mandela Effect', this is a Detroit techno styled track with Barnett's signature bassline sound. B2 is titled 'Magnetofunk' & has a vintage feel that uniquely transforms into a modern day, prime-time groove, a must have for DJs. Blake And Thomas are setting their sights on touring as the DJ unit "FOUR313" in the Fall of 2017 with the theme & tour name, 'Reconstruction'. Their concept is one which supports new artists and incorporates them into future FOUR313 releases, FOUR313's purpose is to come together as artists, to reconstruct their past, present, and future while building a new beginning.

The third 12-inch record by Native Response is here. NR003: Ornithogallum EP by Human Space Machine. This time the record's significantly more focused towards the dance floor, blending functional techno grooves with cosmic synths and arpeggios.

Human Space Machine is part of the Native Response crew, and makes his debut release on the imprint. On remix duty this time is the almighty Eduardo De La Calle.

A1: DRMSH1. This one-take jam immediately encapsulates the sound of Human Space Machine. Strong impressive techno that takes on a hypnotising quality and remains classy and controlled at the same time. The live tweaking of the lead synth and hi-hats make it sound like you're in the middle of a tripped out liveset at 5:00 AM.

A2: SFR5. This record starts off with a strong percussive groove and equally hypnotising bass line to lose yourself into. Neatly developing into a classic sounding Detroit record, the pads and polyryhthmical arpeggio are guaranteed to make you forget whether you're clubbing for hours or days. Halfway a pushing hi-hat makes everything downright party. Club killer, killer club track.

B1: RN2GLM. A haunting pad slides in, confusing the listener and setting a dark but inviting atmosphere. Playful drum machine patterns start grooving together with a sensual bassline that's sure to create a mayhem in the club. The lead synth creeps in and opens up, showing you that weirdness doesn't have to give in to functionality. One for the more daring DJ's that choose to explore instead of stay safe in the standard techno dogma.

B2: RN2GLM - Eduarde De La Calle Response. Do we really need to say something about Eduardo Delivering a monstrous techno banger, Eduardo De La Calle remixes RN2GLM as a giant closer for Native Response's third release. Starting off with a raw sounding bass drum, haunting pad sound and percussive synth groove, the remix grows to absolute peak time drum machine madness. Must have for every closing DJ.

Going Good's first release of 2018 is indeed a very special one.

Cosmic Handshakes sees the pairing of 2 extremely talented Detroit natives - Blair French & Todd Modes - who take elements of Disco, Techno, Jazz, House, Afrobeat, Latin music, Dub and Electronics and filter them through their own unique view of dance music. Life on Titan, his debut for Mathematics, picked up a Qwartz Electronic Music Award.

Dekmantel is thrilled to announce an exciting new project by the impeccable Robert Hood. Over the course of three different EPs and an album, the Detroit legend presents Paradygm Shift. The Form Lockers EP kicks of the series with great anticipation. Beautiful melodic driving techno by Hiver. Especially the title track stands out with a killer remix from JP Enfant that adds some bottom weight and masculanity to the original! The Italian pair of Giuseppe Albrizio and Sergio Caio recently released on Belgium's Curle label, and this Ep confirms their talent. Three original tracks ranging from driving techno to electro-tinged broken beat territory, with watery sound design, liquid keys and icy hi hats getting you into a trance. Nice!!

Hello, I am Qnete and these are my Play-Doh Stories. Some of them are already three years old and it feels like I've become somewhat of a different person since then. Still, I like to listen to them from time to time, thinking of how I was back then, reminding me of what helped shape me, what helped me become who I am now. Sometimes, I also get the feeling that it is not me who wrote the stories. They seem to seem unknown to me, just like they seem to you, because you are not me. Then I listen, and I know again.

Straight from the basement: CLEAR presents four cuts of mind-bending techno from Chicago's Mike Broers. SVHS Demonstration rips a hole through space-time while the intricate and tightly wound Stagma stitches it back together. On the flip 99_999 is both meditative and propulsive. Awash in dreamy synths Clavis closes out the release. Optimal for late night cruises down Lake Shore Drive.

On May 12th comes the Leisure System debut of Deapmash, a young French producer whose unreleased bangers have been tearing up dancefloors and become a not-so-secret weapon at Leisure System parties worldwide. Featuring 'Halcyon,' a ruffneck VIP of the same track, and an outstanding collaboration with Benjamin Damage, Deapmash's debut physical release is a no-nonsense introduction to one of the most exciting young techno producers around.
'Halcyon' has already been causing havoc in sets by the likes of Truss, Paula Temple, Randomer, Tessela, Boys Noize and JoeFarr, to name a few, and it's no surprise that it found a wide audience with such smashing sound design and percolating energy, with a couple of significant mood switchbacks. 'Solar 909,' a collaboration with Benjamin Damage, himself a reliable source of banging, broken and sneakily melodic beats, highlights a swirling siren-like melody, before 'Halcyon (VIP)' unleashes a final flurry of breakbeats, preferring blunt force over the surgical finesse of the original.
Deapmash began producing music only three years ago at the age of 19 - 'my musical background is pretty shit,' he says with refreshing honesty. His prior releases on Clubwerks, Soul Notes and Boys Noize Records have drawn inspiration from DJs and producers like Randomer, Clouds and Blawan, and he has collaborations in the can with JoeFarr, Aquarian, Madame, Dean Grenier and Benjamin Damage in addition to these solo productions. His mission with the Deapmash project Simply 'to provide bangers to ravers and DJs.' Safe to say that's mission accomplished.

Shadowy UK based producer Bleaching Agent (AKA Al Mathews) will release his new EP 'Mulkul' this May on newly minted London label Reposition Records. The four-track release also features a remix by D-56M (AKA Nick Dunton of 65d Mavericks), who also runs Poverty Is Violence and Surface Records.Bleaching Agent's latest 12" follows releases on some of underground music's most interesting labels, including Mira, Opal Tapes and Komisch. Matthews is well known for his collaborative projects too - from his deranged, progressive Blacknecks duo with Truss, to the prolific techno output of Forward Strategy Group. He also maintains a DJ residency at Body Horror, a Manchester based gore-themed queer techno/industrial/transgressive performance art night.
Mulkul' is the second release on Reposition Records, and follows the debut release by Belgian producer T-Scale. Formed by London based DJs and artists Medallion Man - who also runs Loose Lips and 199Radio and El Prevost, who runs label No Speakers and has released under Third Ear Recordings - the label explores varying strains of raw, left-field dance music. Mulkul' offers a more stripped down and slower version of the sound Bleaching Agent has evolved - albeit one that is still rooted in atonality and the unnatural industrial sound he specialises in, this time developed into something more disciplined. Delving into minimalism within a raw industrial sound, the tracks are built with tight, melodic grooves locked inside the vacuum of a dense hardware-heavy sound.Albeni' is a pounding warehouse stomp, punching through with a repetitive vocal sample, snarling synths and a hard bassline. The D-56M remix of 'Free Fere Fer Fe' offers crusading space-age techno chiming with sinister synths and a blistering bassline, creating an almost cinematic ambience. The dystopian terrain is shot through with melody and nuance - visceral, oppressive soundscapes frequently segueing into more moodier, subtler moments.

Helsinki based HPTY Recordings run by TREVOR DEEP JR. celebrates and honors Finnish dance music and some of its champions operating close to the main source by releasing an anniversary double vinyl package of underground rhythms cross the genres!

Delsin's reissue arm once again looks to the revered back catalogue of Lost Trax for a second 12" that picks out the best of the anonymous collective's work. The EP features five cuts taken from two highly sought after EPs released on Tabernacle Records in 2011 and 2012. 'The Eye' opens things up with punchy drum programming and the sort of sci-fi effects and synths that immediately take you to a future intergalactic world. It's a weighty but emotional opener, while 'Pulp' is more twisted and urgent, with warped synth sounds and busy, bristling drums and perc all building pressure throughout. 'The Forest' resets the mood with mystic synths and mysterious atmospheres that mix ambient beauty with suggestive skeletal beats. 'B01' then canes through the cosmos on a Detroit electro tip with slithers of synth, swollen pads and crisp hits and 'Dominion' rounds things out in hurried fashion. The restless electro drums pound away as prickly snares and cymbals, blurts of machine noise and sweeping pads all wrestle for attention and keep you on your toes. This is high octane electro and techno designed with metallic precision but oozing plenty of human feelings.

After ENNIO and the Sluwe Vos, it's time for Patron Record's third release. The Gru EP is coming from the hands of Lewski, a young Dutch producer/dj who clearly got his inspiration from the darker Detroit techno sounds. Lewski definitely shows his originality and craft with his debut EP. The four-tracker is full of vintage sounding techno tracks, blasting you into another dimension.
