Welcome back, Okain! After his digital label debut 'Some Of My Tools' and his praised collaboration with ONNO resulting in their conjunctional 'Triple O' EP Samuel Thalmann a.k.a. Okain is about to unleash four brand new tunes on his forthcoming Upon.You-single 'Coma". With the title track 'Coma' our French friend masterly crafts an enthrallingly bouncy mother of a tune walking the fine line between House and TechHouse, serving swirling Hi-NRG synth modulations and super ecstatic vocal bits for those who like to get into the groove. This track is prime time heaven for all clubbers out there. Following up is 'Karma", a tune again well-balanced between the House and TechHouse side of things but clearly focusing on the deeper end of the spectrum. Spatial effects and mellow, slightly dubbed out chords meet muscular drums, dreamy, balearic sample work as well as scenic string arrangements all serving perfectly for latenight sets and epic transitions between night and dawn. Opening the 'Silver Door' Okain's sonic journey leads him straight into the jackin' zone. A Chitown-reminiscing phonk, stripped down production and an almighty Acid-line are the weapons of choice to hype the crowd right before floating synths really mark the point when things are about to get intense. Timeless as timeless can get and a future classic for sure. Finally with 'Untitled Three' things are getting a little techy for a reason. Banging drums, razorblade hi-hats and woodwork percussions are setting the pace for the ultimate seduction brought to you by Yello'esque male vocal bits, more Chicago referring basslines and on point chords reverberating and bouncing off each other into spiralling eternity.

A new compilation called - The Fable Klangscheiben Records is proud to present its frst vinyl release of a brand newseries, a various artists compilation entitled - The Fable . While some tales startwith once upon a time , this one begins with the candid rhythms and guileless synergy of German duo Metaboman and Large M's Taverne Master'. Canadian minimal masterminds Akufen and Pheek each provide their own input: the former's weaving synth-driven jazzy storylines, the latter's a trip through fragmented instrumentals and a min-tech narrative. Klangscheiben label boss Demas shows his fangs with a brooding slow burner permeated by skin-crawling microsounds, a flow picked up by Montreal producerMagnanime's Psychomagic Master'. Ark's parable is awash with echoing vocal snippets and an addictive piano riff, melting into the strange sound of Tom Ellis, whose Shotgun' is at once stripped back and full of life. Maik Richter was born 02.02.1987 in Karl-Marx-Stadt / Chemnitz / Germany. He lives in Switzerland since 6 years.
In 2005 Maik Richter gets his first appearances as Live-Act... Professional Music Production is the order of Maik R. The project is going to professional song composition but in which live performance will remain further a component. The sound of Maik R budges to minimalistical domains - the contrary to beginning of its musical representation. Gentleless and deep pressure sounds are significant for Maik's musical interpretation - the music should be stimulating you for dreaming. For new inspirations Maik R. leaves himself by other artists and external influences (e.g. society, nature) to enrich.

Known from his debut on Orbis Records, Grg is back with his typical warm & analog sound, we appreciate very much!
Born and raised in the GDR, today East Germany, Grg started making music in '94 using analog Equipment.
early 1995, he already played live-sets with 2 friends as Ensemble Acid Paul and later as "grg" on his own. He released on TeKknik Experimental and EAP records.
Still producing with the amazing MPC3k, he never focused on one single Genre. "it's just Electronic Music" he told us. A modest guy.

The A-Side, by Maik, shows you how beautiful and wide dub can be. If you're fan of dreamy dub, you'll love this for sure!
The B-side is a melodic beauty. No words needed. Grg pur sang!
"Leidenschaft" is very dreamy soundscape based on smooth dub rhythm. Gentle, Subtle. Amazing. An ideal track to open or close the dancefloor. A secret weapon for laid-back moments with friends and a good glass of red wine.
"Klangbaum" feels like a statement. Deep, Dark, Swiss dub. Great stuff if you like the deeper side of dubby tracks.
On the B-side, "Chroma": a track that starts as a very basic yet surprising arrangement evolves in a very clean and sharp gentle melodic danceable track. Works on the floor as well in the background having dinner with openminded and electronic enthusiastic friends.
The second track "Fuer Pe Mi" could be categorized under trance, but it isn't. It's just an amazing track full of warm feelings. A track Grg wrote to celebrate the love between his and his wife. We're very honored he's willing to share this track with the rest of the world. Big respect.

Rustling pillows, irate flamingos, drums thumped feverishly in basements. Tweaked cassettes, noisy buses, restless hands tapping dashboard rhythms in thick dusk traffic. Found sound, musique concre`te, stuttering drum loops forged in twilight boredom — hyperedited into ruminative dance collages. Pillow by Mischa Lively (ne´e Barton, Blake): 4 songs, 25 minutes, a hybrid of exertion and uplift.

Pillow marks both the Nashville native's debut for RACECAR and the denouement of an evolution. Once rigidly stuck
to notions of how rhythm should be utilized — Barton is a trained percussionist — the producer eventually realized the potential in limiting himself to a minimalist diet of new and archived drum loops from which to build songs. Studying myriad treatment techniques, Barton then executed a vision unmoored to binary ideas about 'live' versus 'electronic,' blurring lines as he composed with an ear for IDM, dub, techno, and ambient music.

Hence Pillow: A vast assemblage of rhythm and sound performed to mirror the spirit of dance records. Indeed, the 12' is as ripe for warehouse parties as meditative nights alone, headphones affixed, candles lit, marveling at the mysteries humans conjure with physical limbs.

'Rhythm is instinctual to me,' Barton remarks when asked about his preference for recording analogue patterns versus beats sourced from 1s and 0s. 'And I dislike sitting nearly as much as working from computers.' Movement, then, is a virtue to Barton, and in Mischa Lively he's found a taut, elegant, propulsive vehicle in which to explore it.

Los Pastores partner up with Neverdogs to present two groovy house cuts featuring remixes from Jay Haze and Tuccillo.

Returning to their Oblack imprint, Spain's Los Pastores releases have previously seen support from musical juggernauts such as Luciano, Apollonia, Loco Dice and Ricardo Villalobos. Joining them on this release are Italian duo and Amnesia residents Neverdogs, a pair who have gone from strength to strength over the last decade as well as taking the white Isle by storm over the last few years. Completing the package are remixes from American producer Jay Haze, best known for his prolific output on labels like Leftroom and Desolat, and Spanish producer resident Tuccillo, whose work has landed on 2020 Vision, 8bit and Holic Trax

'Discover Base' is a tough house cut fuelled by rich tribal rhythms and peppered with eclectic samples that give it a quirky feel. For the remix Jay Haze reworks things into more minimalist territory with a stripped back, scratchy techno offering that is perfectly on point. On the flip we have 'Terapia Sonora', another spacious and techy affair with a distinct off-kilter signature before Tuccillo takes the reins, streamlining the original whilst adding a rich warmth synonymous with his productions.

A side: Minimalistic and funk jazzy especially on the Miles Davis inspired track 2 Miles. The track titled Harney Peak, on the other hand, retraces the old school 90's road with hints of surrealism.

B side: get you crazy with Lilliput track gives one the feeling of entering a fairy tail, following a path of fairies and ogres. Not a trip taken by Gulliver, but you'll know where you are once you put the needle down. Faster's remix on 2 Miles track is rampant, with a pump down, that not allow to stop moving your ass.

Das fünfte Album der Serie "secret rhythms" von Jaki Liebezeit und Burnt Friedman basiert im Kern auf Liebezeit´s radikalem Trommel Code mit dem sich Friedman´s Metallperkussion und Synth.-Instrumentarium zu einer Einheit verbindet. Das Ergebnis ihrer seit 12 Jahren andauernden Live-und Studioarbeit hat sich zu 8 Beispielen von ausnahmsweise handelsüblicher Stücklänge von 3 bis etwa 5 Minuten verdichtet.
Wer Liebezeit beim Trommeln zuschaut, oder die Secret Rhythms Titel in ihrer Entwicklung verfolgt, kann verstehen, dass der rhythmische Ablauf nicht als linear voranschreitender, sondern kreisförmiger begriffen wird. Von einer sich wiederholenden, notwendig balancierten Körperbewegung abgeleitet, entspringt ihm jeder Impuls als gefühlter und nicht etwa notierter. Sind diese basalen Bewegungsmuster ins Gedächtnis des Körpers verlagert, können sie auch spielend auf beliebige Klangkörper, Saite, Trommel, Xylophon oder Klavier übertragen werden. Dieses formelhafte, in 2 Zeichen darstellbare, oder in einfache Zahlen übersetzbare System kann man auch als Energieanordnung begreifen zu der man sich ( oder unendliche viele ) synchronisieren. Analog dazu sind auf Secret Rhythms 5 alle Instrumente beim Spielen zur übergeordneten Bewegungsformel synchronisiert.
