We are moving forward with new sounds this summer, and are happy to shed some light on our '4Plae Blanc' project. This series is geared towards slightly lighter vibes, and 001 will really set the tone for what is to come.

Hailing from the city of Bucharest, Nice ' N Trick have been earning their stripes over the past couple of years, which includes having works on labels such as Mulen, Heisenberg, Arupa, Baile Musik, Tzinah and many more. Their track 'Adiacent' delivers the vibrant sounds we love, brought together with tight percussion and warm soundscapes.

Another gem from Bucharest has contributed to 4PLVB001. Direkt has become a good friend of the label and we are extremely happy and proud to have him on board this release. 'Caries' is a bouncy and atmospheric track that delivers a solid analog sound - another factor we feel passionate about. No doubt this wont be the last you hear from Direkt in coming months...

Percival is also an analog head. This Detroit artist has bundles of musical knowledge and a love for many types of music. His track 'All Night' is a vocal orientated track with crisp hats and snares, and a pounding kick throughout - we love the mood this track set's at parties.

In the past few months, 4Plae founder ADMNTi and head honcho at Samani - F.eht, have formed a collective, FAT. Their remix of Percival's track sets a moodier vibe in comparison to the original, and wraps up the release nicely with evolving synths and techier sounds.

YPY is the work of Osaka based Koshiro Hino. Having recently released on labels such as Nous, his own label BirdFriend, and the legendary EM records Koshiro now presents the 7 track LP '2020' for Where To Now Records.

The LP leads with the slow building, off kilter title track '2020', where flurries of eastern horns skitter beneath evolving layers of wonked yet beautifully balanced percussive movements, coming off like a technoid homage to the fourth world works of Eno & Hassel. As is the case with much of Hino's music, as the piece develops it takes on heavier and heavier modes of experimentation and excitement - turbines whirr and fizz alongside layers and layers of percussion, constantly teetering on the edge of No-Wave breakdown whilst never losing sight of the rhythmic backbone, recouping from every moment of collapse with total grace.

Hino swings from this cacophony of rhythms on '2020' to the playful, straight-laced ghetto tech burn of 'Soup', using layer upon layer of low key jazzed melody and percussion to gather pace and momentum, showing another side of the YPY palette with a deep groove and melody indebted to the work of Carl Craig as Psyche/BFC and the like.

Hino creates a musical world that veers from the frantic to the sublime seamlessly and appears to ground his interest in the potential harmony of these two states - or more specifically, how the two can exist in a way which keeps heads down and bodies moving in a dancefloor capacity whilst challenging the listeners expectations at every turn. Whilst obviously this is not a new concept, it is Hino's own historic steeping in experimental drone, improvisation, and his work with his intense, hypnotic, minimalist psych outfit Goat which allow him to hold a unique position in this electronic realm.

Yusaku Shigeyasu (Juno Plus) further conveys this aura of Hino's work in a YPY feature piece for Juno Plus, writing - 'Intensity is a common thread that runs through all of Hino's sprawling productions. It isn't necessarily synonymous with a boisterous, forceful sound. He eschews conspicuous structures or overt arrangements and brings a sonic potential out of sober materials, creating deceptively stark pieces with a dramatic impact that capture and hold the attention from the off.' - Yusaku Shigeyasu / Juno Plus

Hino's more rockist influences are perhaps most pertinent on 'Ash' which embodies this improvisational and stark approach to rhythm. 'Soup' is a doomy, sludge hybrid of fizzing electronics and stoner swagger, owing as much to contemporary artists such as Earth and Om, as it does to the first wave of Japanese and German experimental psych of the early 70's. It's a piece which is unlike anything else on the record, a vital piece of the puzzle when understanding where Koshiro is coming from, yet leaving no clues as to where he is going.

Yul's KRAKLET EP, a sensuous and cinematic minimal tune, was initially released by PIKIMUP in early 2015. Today it is re-released by Yul's own label RESISTE in a remastered version alongside with an exquisite video by movie director Louis Lagayette to illustrate the rebellious tune "Minigme" and two remixes (by Silencyo and Drux).

Through ten-year-experience, CRIME RECORDS is now coming to life in the Salento area (Italy). Mainly based on electronic and techno music, CRIME RECORDS is an indipendent, eco-friendly and strictly old-school label.

The project comes from an idea of Ilaria Mazzotta and Matteo Ria and it aims to spread music only and exclusively throught vinyls and by two realeases every year.

The first release collects the music by the DJs animating the Crime Festival (Salento's summer electronic meeting) and connects Apulia's sound to the best International panorama.

NAIDA Lab will be the promoter of the label, pioneer in event organisation, refined and dedicated in good quality music spreading and careful to the dares of contemporaneity.

After Hollen's very successful remix for our Piemont release in summer 2013 we are happy to have him back with his full proper release on Terminal M. Since Monika Kruse loves and plays Hollen's tracks and remixes heavily it was only a matter of time to get together for this Terminal M premiere.

Catalogue Number PP018 has been work in progress for quite a while now. Wind-s originally appeared in a slightly different version as part of the soundtrack to one of Rohtheaters` plays. The track features all the typical Obalski elements we have grown so fond of in the past. Dreamy pads and odd melodies create the sort of ambient that carries you away somewhere else (Bravo!). We decided that it would be interesting to hear other artists take their turn on the material. The Japanese duo Mascaras (Chida & 5ive) transformed Wind-s in an atmospheric drum workout. Fantastically incorporating the breezy synth elements of the original into their flow of percussion. Press play - Lift off. The B-Side gives space to Nick Höppner's epic Techno groove. The latest release from Breach's own Naked Naked imprint is brought to us by Leeds based Viers aka Jordon Saxton. Part of the new wave of UK house and techno producers, the forward thinking producer already has five releases under his belt, including a 12inch on Seb Wildblood and Ape's 'Church' imprint. For his third outing on Naked Naked, Jordon once again assumes his Viers alias for another dose of dancefloor-ready techno. On the A side 'Dissipate' makes use of sparse elements to construct a hypnotic, minimal groove. Skippy hi-hats dance around a solid but simple bassline, creating a bouncy, satisfying energy. On the flip SMS's dubby stabs combine with rattling percussion to establish a driving, relentless rhythm. Full of intensity, this one is definitely built for peak hour dancefloor damage. Due to drop on 16th October, Viers 'Dissipate/SMS' release is another great edition to Ben Westbeech's Naked Naked Catalogue.

We have started a new project from a new part of Finish Team Records only on vinyl. For the first release we have made a 4 track E.P. with the main artists of the label: Manu P, Andrea Rubolini, Aumrec & Gabriele Orsini. First track is composed by Manu P, and is named El Torito. Is the perfect track for the summer time, with a latin tech house with a huge bass and melodic voice, perfect for the middle of the night set. The second is a track by Andrea Rubolini (The Crowd), also here a huge bass during all the track and a melodic synth that characterized the track. The third track by Aumrec (Elonove), is more techno, with lot of strange and secret minimal part and a solid and fresh kick. Gabriele Orsini also composed the fourth track (The Suspect), a techno and intense travel trough the dark techno scene. VINYL ONLY!

After Ellen Allien's album "Dust" kicked up a lot of the same in 2010, it was only a matter of time until the right remixers for the album were found. No less than the crème de la crème of today's house scene was allowed to have their way with these tracks.

Opening track 'Turn On The Fun' features slithering synth lines, a nimble and inviting baseline and plenty of warming emotion. It's spacious and airy and the intriguing melodic patterns really keep your head as busy as your heel whilst the loopy beats roll below. 'Funcy' is a little more rubbery and direct, with clacking perc, freewheeling synth lines and bubbly drums that never stay locked in one place, roaming around and taking you with them. Lastly, 'Funatics' has a sombre minor chord bassline that rides up and down the scale as crisp, clean hi hats dance alongside. Bouncy and jostling, energetic and restless, it's a track that perfectly rounds out this debut EP and shows that Barem and Cabrera are true to their world and really do know how to produce some fun techno funk.

Expect to be confronted with a bit of a surprise here when you listen to the a-side of the brand-new Max Cooper on Traum.Max has never plaid around with arpeggiators in this way jet and also the "togetherness" of the soundscape is not very typical for him. But let us say this much, this track is a big track in his live sets, very much a crowd pleaser and when the bassline kicks in at 4 minutes it gets all cosmic and a massive collective feel is installed.The track is a repetitive one and the rushing of the hi-energy powered sequencer gives a nice contrast to the later added strings which add a superb  melancholic Detroit feel.We expect this track to do nice in clubs.

Lessismore (formerly Lessismorecordings) was launched 10 years ago, and has been on hold for a few years. At the time the transition from vinyl to digital didn't feel right and now that the vinyl market is coming up again the love and faith to release a beautiful product (vinyl with cool artwork) is back.This 10 year anniversary is a good reason to revive from hibernation state and to start sharing great music again. The first few releases from the relaunch will represent re-releases of the strongest EP's from the back catalogue with remixes by respected artists.

The Alexis Tyrel remix of Estroe's Taxotere has a palpable energy which comes from the masterful fusion of pounding kicks and luminous synth stabs that swell and bulge out through the mix like bright flashes of summer lightning.

The Advent remix of MBC's Zeitlupe starts with a galloping synth that builds in intensity. Just as one is lulled into a "false feel" of the track, the synth part transforms into the syncopated groove of the original version. The track fluctuates between both patterns periodically. With several intriguing modifications of the main sound throughout, and with a pacey aggression, this track is both fierce and deep.

Gideon also remixes Zeitlupe and in his version the intensity is increased a little more. The main groove is prevalent again which drives this remix. However, the real profound sections are where the beat breaks down and yields to the resonantly electrifying lead synth which consumes all in its path. Conspicuously powerful and driving.

Once more on remix duties, this time Gideon interprets Alexis Tyrel's H for Hustler. Rhythm and percussion based, it exemplifies Lessismore's ethic - it is both fundamental and bold. Strong and steady machine like beats push the track along relentlessly while industrial scrapes grind away on top. The "Hustler" sample is sporadically placed but is still used enough to give a hypnotic feel to its use.

The original version of H for Hustler by Alexis Tyrel focuses on the basic elements that are at the core of timeless dance classics. The captivating and hypnotizing beat powers its way throughout. The "Hustler" sample is used rhythmically to great effect while the perfectly aimed machine-gun snares find their mark and are perfectly positioned to hold attention and build atmosphere where needed.

Following his 'Tones EP' and his contribution to first vinyl only VA release last year Mano Andrei returns to the label with another stunning 4 track solo EP consisting of 4 stripped back solid dance floor grooves.

Marc Antona has been always in the pursuit of new expressions within music as he has continually demonstrated with his work. Following the jazz-infused adventures of the Rattle Snaps EP, he finally returns to his own turf to lay down another crucial exploration of beat science. "Hanging Gardens" is a masterclass in immersive programming, fusing the natural feel of live drums with crisp electronic tones that hover in a spacious mix. It's the perfect angle at which to appreciate the subtlety of sound design that goes into every inch of Marc Antona's productions, teasing elements in and out of the mix so gracefully, it's hard to tell where the joints are. The haunting touches of chords and lingering pad are deployed with poise, the intricate percussion progressively rising and falling throughout to create a truly immersive sonic journey. Where the A side deals with angular rhythms and a shape-shifting atmosphere, "Unrestricted" takes the sound palette of organic and electronic elements and feeds them into a rolling, techno-minded focus. The tribal thrum of the beat fills out an 'in-the room-ambience' while the psychoactive synth flurries speak out the pulse of the machines. It's a combination that makes "Unrestricted" as intimate as it is exotic. In combining these disparate feelings within his tracks, Antona once again brings a human feel to the technology, pushing the music into exciting new realms in the process.

And again! The second truelovesounds vinyl is coming from our very own artist collective VOZ with their base in Frankfurt and Offenbach City. The EP called - Last is the first release by this outstanding duo and delivers a mixture of straight linear but promising and meaningful elements combined with massive baselines that form the EP into a steady production.
Dubtil manages to create a grooving and somehow simple but beautiful interpretation of the track which rounds off the ep perfectly.
