There are no boundaries for Fun Records when it comes to continue spreading its refreshing sounds beyond trends and predictable beats.That's why this fifth release welcomes Mariano Mateljan, the infamous Croatian DJ, producer and one of the most talented and recognized electronic music artists of the country and abroad. Nibong (Fun 005) comes out with 4 tracks, traced by the analog frizzly details that have been characterizing every Fun's release. But there is even more behind the pristine minimalistic house signed by Mateljan and pressed on both vinyl's side: we can say that this time, Fun's got a bit more serious (just a bit, don't misunderstand us): Nibong EP enters directly to the highest clubbing experience but shaped as only Mateljan could make it. Listening to Thetea track on the B side will make you difficult to stand still without letting yourself go and stop thinking for a while in order to let your imagination emerge: enjoy the amenity of subtle feelings rising as the dreamy and slightly broken melody develops catching your attention. Lotus, the second B side track, may be the most ethereal one, and both together leave us having fun and feeling sensitive as if the sunset would catch ups by surprise on the beach. If you want to explore the also funny but darker side, the A side may be like the taoist yin conception, only understandable if yang is magically kept in Lotus and Thetea. And that's the clue of Mateljan's superb productions: Slippery Slope and Nibong's A tracks are well balanced, but at the same time the release has its own balance too. The result has generated a complex but coherent structure that keeps making you feel addicted to the sounds, no matter how many times you play and dance to them. With it's massive bassline and percussive patterns, you can get any party started. A perfect track to round up an EP - truly dedicated to the dancfloor.

THE ARTIST

CrossNineTroll is a talented Hungarian DJ/producer duo. They formed back in 2011. The two friends are well known artists of the Hungarian electronic dance music scene since the mid of 90's. Their sound is influenced mostly by house and techno, with a modicum of the oldschool sound. Both together and separately have played in most of the local and lot of international clubs and festivals. Their most successful track so far is called Wanna Say' released on BUTCH's label BOUQ. The track was prominent on the label and had lately become the labels 3rd bestseller track of 2013. LOCO DICE played this track for over 12 months. Furthermore, it was played and charted by the likes of DUBFIRE, REBOOT, STEVE LAWLER, etc.. Strong releases followed on VIVa MUSiC Limited, PLANT74, Hi!Fly RECORDS and many others. The CrossNineTroll guys are constantly working hard on new productions in their studio and promising a lot of surprises in the upcoming years. Let's keep our fingers crossed, as they have the talent and deserve it!

THE REMIX

MATTHIAS TANZMANN

We don't really need to explain you how excited we got to get no one else but our long time friend and MOON HARBOUR head honcho MATTHIAS TANZMANN on board, to remix the main track SOMETHING STRONG for us. Taking a look at his ridiculous summer schedule and the massive successful release of his latest EP on NIC FANCIULLIS - SAVED RECORDS imprint called NO SLEEP, we are even more happy that he found the time to deliever us this monster of a remix. By adding a sick funky bassline and and some air cutting sharp hi-hats, he takes the original track to a totally different level. The perfect arrangement and ruthless drive of his interpretation turns every club into a sweatbox. Thank you Matthias!

Following up our previous Daniel Sanchez release, we are more than proud to have for this one the Impropmtu Remixes EP edition which includes 4 fantastic remixes by Nima Gorji, Martinez, Doubtingthomas and Faster. The first track is Nima's remix from Pearled Into Droplets in which he created an exceptional base with a prominent tech rhythm, in which we can perceive a few percussion layers that work amazingly with the original synths. Those synths create an incredible atmosphere as they softly evolve in a slow progression during the track, creating tension and release, exactly when is needed. The whole minimalistic approach brings a more than suitable vibe that is driven by a rock solid bass line too. The second remix is from Martinez, who also worked over Pearled, but he went through a more experimental and deeper road with an exquisite re-interpretation, in which the articulations created between the several percussive sounds are beautifully placed in such way that, alongside the synth pad in the backend, creates a superb hypnotic vibe and groove. The third remix is from Daniel's track Yi and was charge of Doubtingthomas, who flawlessly captured the primal essence of the original track with a superb twist in the rhythmic side, in which he created an amazing blend between of minimal house and deep, that easily immerses the listener into a powerful trip. This remix also presents several melodic elements working together with the original track sounds, like the strings during the break and synth pads, which adds a beautiful musical and organic feeling to the remix. The last and not least of the remixes is also from Yi, but in charge of the talented producer Faster, who also took as working base the ambiences and textures from the original track to create a subtle and beautiful minimalistic vibe alongside the percussive elements. The most distinctive sound of his remix is the electric synth riff, which adds soft craziness, and lays the ground perfectly for the hypnotic percussions to take place later on the track, which also finishes the remix's groove exquisitely.

It's been 10 years since Efdemin's debut mix-cd "Carry On, Pretend We're Not In The Room" and its single "America". Back in 2008 it ended up on the first place in the Groove chart, but for some reason we never had it remixed. With Efdemin's second mix-cd and the accompanying "Move Your Head" EP now scheduled for mid April, we'd like to announce this 'Minimal Detroit' mix from Terrence Dixon to close things off in style. On the flipside there's a DJ Koze edit of Efdemin's "Acid Bells" classic that was too good not to share.

Velvet Records proudly presents « V003 », a four-tracks long overview and celebration of the contemporary electronic music scene. Together, the artists featured on the French label's first compilation present an audacious look at the depth and span of the scene while also moving the form forward into bold new shapes.

Touching on expansive Deep Techno and Minimal House, this compilation is made up off exclusively produced and previously unreleased music from Ekomine, Yaroslav Lenzyak, Leopol and Damien K. Sahri, capturing the essence of the current chapter of these genres, hinting at the shape of those to come.

French producer Ekomine is the first to hit the road with « Ramble », a solid sweet-sour blend of atmospheric sounds leading the listener to find himself gently trapped into an unpredictable deep-space diving journey. This is where Ukrainian artist Yaroslav Lenzyak and acolyte Rata come in with « Cellar Door ». No constellations here, but the substantive claustrophobic tale of a spectral entity slowly catching your doppelgänger in the twilight hours. An angel flies and we're suddenly entering the sensitive world of « Joy Misery » from Parisian early analog machines enthusiast Leopol, who invites wandering souls to a dance-oriented and delicate voodoo ritual before passing the torch to Berlin-based producer Damien K. Sahri's « Travel Marvel » which confers the record a multi-ethnic dimension, kindly whiplashing bodies with a mixture of unavoidable pulsations.

Continuing in the same fashion the Tupiar Records Wax Collection we welcome Florian Meffert on our fourth vinyl masterpiece - Decent EP. A driven individual in his passion for experimental music, with roots in Frankfurt(DE), that matchless sound and impeccable techniques as a producer are serving as an example for precise and inspirational music. One of those artists that disconnect from the real world escaping into a new world while the creative flow takes over, outgrowing himself at full speed with releases on labels like Sakadat, Mood24, Capodopere, Ensis Black, Inwave to name a few. He worked with Vicentiulian, Arapu, Suolo, Yaroslav Lenzyak, Kaitaro and many more who support his style, now expressing him self with industrial synths & breaks in Decent (A1), taking us on a journey of soundwaves all the way to his darkest corners of imagination, filled with liquid textures & ambiental backgrounds of minimalistic depth. Yet we are driven into nebulous passages through intriguing bells and whistles echoing from the misty sounds of Upset and Natshe original mixes of the upcoming 2PR deejay.
On the B side we find pleasure in the analog remix carved beautifully by experimented Alan Castro from Argentina, spotted on labels like Bodyparts & Arupa Records. Putting his DNA into Decent, Alan exceeds continuous experimentation charged with sensibility and passion for his work, letting all the melodies and kick join together to make us dance and travel through sounds with all its power, resulting this exquisite happy end to this 12 inch release mastered by Maurice Giovannini.
To top it of in our artistic approach, we bring you this unique 100% romanian cover, "Necromæns" painted with acrylics on canvas by talented Anita Frâncu. Many untold stories lay hidden under the strokes of the young painter, besides the aphotic site of this artwork that matches perfectly the overall design concept of Mihai Dafinoiu - responsible for the image of Tupiar Records & Tupiar Limited Record Labels.

Sobriquet Records returns for its 3rd release and this time welcomes Olvap. He delivers 2 original handcrafted tracks then the EP is finished off with some Berlinesque by Maki Polne and his take on the track Sehntez.

German producer Philipp Priebe is set to release his latest work, Our Sins, on Beirut based label Fantôme de Nuit.


Philipp Priebe is a romantic and this rare attribute, at least in the world of electronic music, lies at the center of the music that he creates. The German producer combines warm, melancholic sounds with pushing elements to create a whimsical blend of organic and mechanic attributes. His first release on Fantôme de Nuit is a testament to his ability to create.


Preibe opens his latest release with 'Above You', and the leading track is an excellent representation of the German House sound. Beginning with some almost jacking drum programing, a fat bass line quickly joins the arrangement. The track continues to build over the next minute and then, like a breath of fresh air, melodic pads provide a whimsical like quality. Preibe spends the remainder of the track building and breaking it down, each time adding a bit of life to the brooding opener.


'Kyoto' is a spaced out slow burner that packs some serious punch. Lead by acid dipped keys, the track features a barrage of ambient blips that create an atmosphere deserving of only the best systems. 'Nara' veers away from its two predecessors and ventures into more techy territory. Layered with blips and
complex drum programming, 'Nara' takes the listener to another dimension before bringing them back down again.


Priebe saves the title track for last, but it's well worth the wait. Built around a single kick and a wealth of delay, 'Our Sins' slowly builds up around itself. By the time the vocal sample comes in it's too late, the listener is completely enveloped. The dubby bassline pushes the track forward and some clever chords keep it tight. And just when it should drop, Phiebe breaks it apart. Dropping the tempo, Phiebe slows the journey to a standstill for just long enough before the kick returns to keep the party going.

After the success of the 'Abused V.a.' that dropped last winter, Samani return with their second vinyl release. In the last few years the label - founded by F.eht - has grown in leaps and bounds, with many digital releases climbing charts and bringing new artists to light.A:The opening track titled 'Conduccion' is a production from Slovenian based artist, and Innocent Music label-head Aney. F. One for the dance floor, this track is full of energy and builds and evolves perfectly. Aney's sound has spread across the world in the last few years and this record is a perfect example of why his music has become so popular in the scene.The second track on Side A is one that takes us darker and deeper. Cicuendez has set a heavy vibe for his track '5 Years'. The elements that make up this track come together perfectly and form a well rounded thumping production. Not only are we happy to hear this production on Samani, but we also look forward to hearing more from this talented producer in the future.B:F.eht has stepped forward to open up the flip side with a remix of Aney's track on Side A, this time offering a slightly different vibe whilst keeping the energy on offer tom the original. This is another one fit for the club, and one that show's how far the head of Samani has come in the last few years.Finally, 'Jessabelle'. This production by Battric & MIVU is a real roller, you only have to listen to the choppy bassline to realise that. The breakdown half way through the track uses some really crisp synths to lighten the mood, before breaking back in to a slightly evolved version of the main body of the track. This duo are definitely a pair to look out for this year. SMNI002 is 100% one for the record bag, and will be one heard across the world in future months.

We've been closely watching the rise of A Sagittariun ever since he first popped up with his consistently excellent Elastic Dreams label back in 2011. What started out as an anonymous project has since been revealed as the handiwork of Nick Harris, a long time champion of the Bristol house and techno scene since before most of us were even hitting the dance. His music has been flying out with a no nonsense approach - self-released, minimal promo, just cracking club-ready 12"s that tap into the fierce-but-fun spirit of Detroit techno and albums loaded with smokers delights to appease his West Country roots.

"Pseudo Science" wastes no time in imparting a message of bristling kinetic energy for peak time situations. This is maximal techno of the highest order, firing off a body-popping beat, a dazzlingly bright set of chords and a delirious lead that cuts through like the house lights being thrown on in a darkened basement four hours before closing time. There's a confidence that bursts out of this track that could only come from someone who has earned his stripes in the cut and thrust of what can at times be a fickle dance music scene.

"Heavy Manners" plays a foil to this boisterous A-side without dipping the energy levels. Sagi still has his pedal to the metal, but this time he winds through mystical, filter sweeping pads that hark back to synth rich early 90s trance séances of the highest caliber. The bubbling 303 only further fuels this sense of psychoactive flashback, and the hypnotic film sample provides the perfect icing on the cake. Leave your functional subtleties at the door, this is loud and proud body and mind music transmitting from the part of a soul still stomping in a field somewhere near the M25 orbital.

Die Stadt Jena in Thüringen steht seit den 90igern für einen subkulturellen Melting Pot in der Provinz mit malerischer Landschaft. Von den Kreidefelsen hallen Namen wie Kassablanca als Veranstaltungsort, Plattenladen Fatplastics, die Label Freude am Tanzen und Musikkrause, sowie Musiker wie Wighnomy Brothers (Robag Wruhme & Monkey Maffia), Krause Duo (Metaboman), Feindrehstar usw.. Auch im schönen Städtchen Schmalkalden, welches bereits richtig im Thüringer Wald liegt, formte sich vor der Jahrtausendwende um die Elektronik-Künstler wie Lowtec & Marvin Dash eine kreative Szene mit Label, Presswerk, Laden und Party Konzept. Aus Weimar hallt es laut: Giegling in die Welt. Das Label ist inzwischen fast so populär wie dieser Chef-Kultur-Dezernent Johann Wolfgang, der da seit über 200 Jahren fest im Sessel sitzt.
Aber das Jemand genau da, wo sich wirklich Reh und Hirsch gute Nacht sagen (Steinach im Thüringer Wald), auf die Idee kommt, crazy Electronic-Music zu produzieren und ein Label namens Klangscheiben zu gründen, zeigt wie rege ein menschliches Gehirn mit Hilfe moderner Internet, und Verkehrsanbindung funktionieren kann.
Seitdem hat Demas, der Macher von Klangscheiben, ein Netzwerk von Gleichgesinnten aus aller Welt geschaffen. Inzwischen ist er aber nach Berlin verduftet. Klar man muss ja auch mal raus und neben Bäumen auch mal etwas Beton sehen.
Das Thema der Platte ist Jena, denn hier hat Demas im Zirkel von FAT / Kassablanca / Fatplastics alle der Künstler persönlich kennengelernt und seit dem wird gefreundelt und sich kulturell ausgetauscht.
Alle vier Tracks sind Meisterwerke des Stolperfunks mit Zug zur Tanzfläche. 4x Bewegungsspender zur aktiven Gymnastik wurden in Vinyl geritzt. Da freut sich der Tänzer, wenn die Nadel ausetzt und es bitzelt wie der Schinken in der Pfanne.

Curtea Veche returns with Alex Tea & Vivi's 'Nemesis EP' includes remix from Alex Celler, Early support coming from Dewalta

Here they come, real adventurers driven by the music. Two real passionate found each other
and got together for this amazing collaboration. The man behind the label Fantastic Friends
Nicolas Duvoisin well known for creatively alternating between minimal, house and techno giving
the dance floor a unique ass-schaking experience such as with his releases and remixes on
labels like snork enterprieses, kindisch, kina music, siteholder, circle music, and many others.
And Danielle Nicole known for her unique minimalistic take on techno, which can be found on
labels such as Little Helpers, Baile Musik, Fantastic Friends, Draft.. and so on.

The Original of She Was Happy is a deep-housey, funky song with mind-tickling vocals. Before
you know it, your toes will be moving to the bass of the sound. Nukem's Remix carries you
through a groovy minimalistic jouyride that is deep and floor-pumping at the same time. The
Original of Someone Need It you get a tripped-out floor-burner with a strong tech-house
groove, clever sample-play, enthralling effects, climactic arrangements and a bouncy bassline
that'll have people forgetting their own names. Also for this song we got an amazing remix from
german based producer Martelli which delivers us a more techy version with breathy vocal
samples, off-kilter percussion and an attractively bouncy groove.

So that's it, our first release on our favorite sound carrier vinyl. And now.. Dance!

ESHU, the production collective and record label from Nijmegen are back with their next offering. Their 12th release is a various artists release that features BLM, Jburg and Steven Siwalette alongside label members Ivano Tetelepta and Jocelyn Abell. It comes on the heels of Tetelepta's absorbing dub techno album, Senang, and is another high class offering. Nijmegen based Siwalette is first, previously contributed to the label as part of SYS. His Stragglers is a sparse but atmospheric track with industrial drones and slowly turning drums taking you through a desolate factory late at night. His second offering is Alien Encounter which is just as it sounds - a spooky, unsettling bit of cinematic sound design with menacing bass and icy pads all growing in loudness until they eventually consume your mind. Lastly on the A-side, UK producer and Fear of Flying label boss BLM lays down a skeletal groove that's embellished with beautiful, yawning synths. Scattered little details and fx making this a cavernous piece that encourages your mind to wander and get lost. On the flip, Jocelyn Abell and Ivano Tetelepta cook up a heavyweight, mid tempo bit of dub techno with sharp hits and rolling kicks lulling you into a trance. Last of all, the emerging Jburg picks up the pace with a perfectly chiselled bit of rock solid dub with looping drums and icy hi hats sinking you deep into its midst. This is an excellent EP that packs in a range of fascinating sounds for both the home and the club.

76-79 And Vibration White Fingers. Two Different Names, Two Different Aliases, One Person Behind, Are Back Again With 4 Amazing Tracks From Techno To Minimal.

Saint & Don't introduces it's second vinyl release, this time we have one of our favorite producers that needs no introduction. Felipe Valenzuela delivers "Prototypes", some selected tracks from his music series, where he shows the eclectic side of his career, this release also includes a collaboration with Dorian Paic (Raum...musik), reshaping Prototype 23 togheter.

Sepp takes center stage on Curtea Veche's sixth release with a riveting storytime 12" two tracker. "La Gura Sobei" compels the dancefloor to step into traditional romanian shoes with "Dugul Pamantului", a massive atmospheric and layered behemoth, while "Zorilor Roze" takes a more subtle and enthusiastically melodic approach on folk influences.

Manchester's techno alchemist and master of the Roland TR-808, the enigmatic MR.RAW, debuting MANCDETROIT 12' on WIN or LOOSE Records straight outta Toronto CA! Long term nightclub shaman on the Northwest of England circuit, Raw served time in Rotterdam's early 90s gabba circles before returning back to Manchester to twist brain's n bodies with his wild blend of freestyle techno. Raw's witnessed trends in production go from hardware to soft and back again but he's never strayed from a solid rack mount set up based solely around the TR-808. With a few added choice fx processors Raw's style is loose'n'live and captures a pure spirit rarely exercised by today's pacified youth.
"Perseus Dance" sounds like the kind of shit the great Ron Hardy would jam on, with two copies, for hours. Inflicting a sherm-stick flavored mind-blast to the floor that may have indeed caused the good man to blush, we find percolating 808 percussion woven together with a mystic, fizzing lead line and twangy analogue artifacts. Darkside acid dragged wailing and whining from Rusholmes drains.
Flip and we have "Hard On": a twisted x-rated porno horror jam. Raw's rapid-fire double-speed drum loops firing away while a plethora of abhorrent vox and coital sounds converge onto the track. A total wrecking ball of filth and hellish distortion which just smolders away in the basement of some sadistic nightclub like a rotten but highly intoxicating fungus ready to switch on any passing freaks.

We're glad to say welcome to Renè for our second wax.
With his residency@Circoloco in ibiza since years, he had the chance to play at some of the best gigs in the world.
His track 'Anything' has a unique touch, with a lot of warm and deep pads that match perfectly with bassline, doing a beautiful atmosphere.

Alessandro Di Maria aka Sossa is another italian resident dj of Circoloco in Ibiza.
He worked with a lot of amazing artists like Mass Prod, Quenum, Subb-an and many more, especially with his own label Garbant Wave.
His track Toga' is what we call a trip, ranging from minimal beats to deep pads and chords.
Certainly this one makes the right job in the warm up!

We're happy to have the young talent Giacomo Trevi in the B side.
With releases on Claque, Superfiction, Etruria and more, his track Voyage' has a powerful 909 groove, with an old school pads and some Detroit influences in the chords.
