An Ardent Heart is a focused techno mini album that brings forward Stefan Goldmann's most dancefloor-centered material in a decade. The tracks push and pull relentlessly. Despite their linear appeal, there is an intricately balanced interplay between the heavy-handed kicks, the bouncy bass accents and the sizzling, yet clear-cut details whipped up by the rallying drums. The peculiar, seemingly 'vocalised' mode of synthesis is maybe the most unifying sonic characteristic of the six tracks and one coda. Formant shaping, vowel filters and airstream perturbations let a wide range of sounding elements speak in the tongues of a cybernetic Babylon. Layered polymetric patterns perforate the aural plane with alien scripts. Clearly structured, yet opaque messages that seem to have traveled for aeons emanate from the red-hot circuitry. They spill into a network of delays, channeled down into labyrinthine corridors, enveloped in electrostatic noise. Most tracks build on chance patterns evoked with hardware sequencers and freeform modulation sources. The resulting synthetic systems are as cohesive as they exhibit vast internal variation and range. Thus balancing simplicity and complexity right in the middle, the results are just as immediately gripping as they can feed sustained attention. A wide palette of distortion and overtones mark the contours of individual elements that seem to have near-physical qualities - as if there were metallic strings, thick membranes, a resonating sphere, all struck by electric mallets, caused to vibrate by mechanical bows and sung by silicone lips.

Norse Projekt brings Muninn back for release 004 with his EP called Fornjot, some more minimalistic analogue warmths accompanied by a remix from Fuse resident Rich NxT who adds some lively acidic tones to the track Jarnsaxa.

After the successful release on ENOUGH! MUSIC 010, with Daniel Dreier, Guido Schneider is back and presents his new solo project - Micro Vocal EP- on ENOUGH! MUSIC LTD. Two very detailed and subtle tracks with the name "Micro Vocal and Supernova" let us hear his musical passion, which has been his passion since the 90's. This lightness in "Micro Vocal" and its driving groove are Guido's unique handwriting, it makes you almost mesmerized and hypnotized. Vocal snippets, a grooving bassline, playful sounds and a hypnotic atmosphere are the ingredients of this track. With the track 'Super Nova' Guido banishes us into a mercilessly brilliant monotony of an endless loop. Consistently from beginning to end, the listener is driven by a pulsating groove. Alan Castro's track 'Mi Alma Intoxicada' was a highlight of Various Artists #01 , definitively floaring and delicately rolling. On this new EP, Castro shows his complex capacities in composition.
'Ciderfunk' is without a doubt one of the most mind-boggling tracks we've heard for a very long time. Backed by 'Pacuriver' and 'DB Mucho' which are both equally as intricate, as the epically adventurous A-side.

Frankfurt based Baile Musik returns with cutting edge minimal techno grooves fused with hypnotic sounds and latin influence.
Basti Grub &Mike Trend together with Serbian veteran producer Petar Cvetkovic rounded up an impressive posse of
producers who know how take their cues from these remarkable productions.
"All Good" is the minimal techno 2016 must have record.

Malta native Dean Demanuele has always made tech-house with a swagger, but even his own lofty standards, his latest release is a joy to behold. Full of tension from the get-go, the Grey Game EP - released on Dean's always excellent Dazed and Confused label - confirms his reputation as his country's leading exporter of all things dancefloor driven.

Leading the way is the title track. A catchy techno jam that conjures up images of 5,000 people strong warehouse raves, this one is littered with vibes from the off. A real fist-bumper, it's the sort of track that's sure to prompt absolute pandemonium when dropped at the right moment. Stuffed with zippy synths and clever clicks, it's a deceptively simple piece of music that's sure to raise eyebrows and hands alike.

Although it starts off with seemingly modest ambitions, the other track ' Seeds', quickly unravels into a whole new different beats altogether. A banging track with peak-time flavours galore, it's notable for its gnarling acid lines and a killer baseline that's deserving of an especially large soundsystem. 'Grey Game' isn't the most subtle of tracks - but that's not the point here. If you're looking for something to absolutely desiccate the dancefloor this weather, consider yourself served here. Demanuele has been on a rich vein of form for some time now, and his latest compounds the fact.

Klas Henrik Lindblad better known as Sasse or Freestyle Man has been a friend of our label for many years and also released together with Dorian for our Raum Musik Compilation in 2005. Soul Sounds without any doubt still is one of his absolute masterpieces and he was never willing to do anything with it and just let it rest in peace until the idea came up to re release it for our label. Usually we are not licensing or re releasing anything but Sasse and especially this track of him definitely deserve it. As it is also our 20 years anniversary we got one of our key artists on board that has been playing the track again a lot recently and that also immediately liked the idea of remixing this track and this is the result now. We are happy to present you the original track of Sasse plus two remixes by our dear friend Ricardo Villalobos and label head Dorian Paic together. Enjoy !

DDMS is the combination of 4 prolific producers : Deadbeat, Dewalta, Mike Shannon & The Mole Previously this combination has appeared on Haunt records releasing a two part series in 2013 to critical acclaim.

Pheek returns with a rare vinyl EP and makes a bold statement in dropping fresh new tunes that will please any adventurous DJs. While groovy, the tracks mark Pheek's usual, very intricate and bizarre but always reliable dancefloor material.

Keeping the concept of a tight knit family of artists, up next on Sol Asylum is the follow up EP for the Dilated Pupils titled Introducing Remi. This collective of likeminded artists from the Netherlands return to the label with a solid four-track EP that shows their range and diversity as producers.

Moving full speed ahead we start off with 'Remi at 21.16' a track that instantly hypnotizes you on the dance floor with its echoing harmonic synths and a complex metallic snare pattern. The track is a slow burner that explodes when the dirty analog kick, swinging bassline, and filtered percussion melt into an atomic fusion.

Next we take it to the next level with 'Do' its underwater bubbling percussion, bleeping stabs and eerie synth take us to the far off corners of space with just enough acid to keep our heads down and grooving to the strobe light in a dark room.

As we move into fall with 'October Times' a tightly woven groove and galloping kicks push us into more experimental territory with soaring vintage synths that create tension and finesse at the same time.

Finally we finishing things off with the esoteric vibes of 'Suque' this deep and dirty track channels the positive force from another realm, which is the perfect match for the inspiriting concept of Sol Asylum.

Infinite Fields is an electronic music duo from Paris. Both artists are inspired by a wide range of musical genres and their friendship has resulted in this collaborative EP on Quanta Records.
Fraction of Time presents a raw and hybrid techno. The uncompromising WFS' is in line with the original social concern of the Detroit techno pioneers and should have an instant impact on any clubber anywhere. The B-side contains two tracks, Zygomatiques' and Slow Suicide', with elaborate melodies and funk influences. The use of analog synthesizers brings a radiant aspect to these tracks.

"The Lights", the EP´s title track is a profound and complex story, never forcing itself upon the listener but gently picking him up in real sophisticated (production) manner. The second original track, "Blckout", is based upon a more repetitive structure. A deep male vocal, intertwining with a mystical synth-line and driving percussions gives this track its compelling energy. The B-Side of the release consists of two remixes by MYNY and Echonomist giving it both clubby structure and a beautiful-warm atmosphere.

A Label as an extension of the artist Exos in his role as both a producer and curator. The six track EP includes tracks from some of his closest collaborators through the years, among others a song by his father, Octal, who has been collaborating in music with Exos since late 90s. Octal Industries ,aka Ruxpin, a lifetime collaborator, family friend and an original member of Thule records also contribute to the release. Last but not least, the mystikal Soschla, a Russian upcoming artist who made some waves already and will be a part of some upcoming releases on X/OZ. The unique, rugged environment of Iceland is a fundamental element and platform for Exos in his creation and selection and sets the atmosphere for the sound of his new X/OZ imprint. Leftback 013 introduces a contemporary series dedicated to bringing through new artists and friends of the label. Internal Connections Volume 1' delivers 4 tracks of stripped back grooves, dark melodic tones and organic instrumentation. Dudley Strangeways & Michael McLardy set the trend on A1 with a building roller using delayed stabs from the main hook that teases its way in towards the end of the track. A2 is by Midlands based DJ and producer Bunny, who plays regular slots at Birmingham's Rainbow venues as well as being resident for Social Underground and has played alongside the likes of Raresh, Fuse, East End Dubs & Sonja Moonear. Bunny supplies a stripped back groove focusing on the rhythm, with intricate hi hat patterns that counter with the bassline. Szymon Wnuk provides nine minutes of deep and twisted minimal for B1 that uses sparse rising base and an understated kick drum that carries the track. B2 welcomes Leftback resident Chris Boardman on his production debut that rounds the EP off with a heavier techno leaning feel that compliments the rest of the EP well. VINYL ONLY.

We have been following Jorge's work for quite a while and now it was the right match as for our label. We are very happy about this release and we hope that you enjoy the tracks as much as we do.

Collecting Orders For Repress

Legendary Italian techno label Unrilis, founded by top producer Rino Cerrone and A&R'ed by Luigi Madonna & Roberto Capuano, turns 10 in 2016, and this next EP is the first of many special anniversary releases planned by the label. It comes from acclaimed talent Enrico Sangiuliano and features a stunning remix by Mark Reeve.
Enrico Sangiuliano came up through illegal raves and is now a top DJ who plays all over the world and has his music played by the likes of Adam Beyer and Sven Vath. He has had the longest ever running techno number one on Beatport (his remix of 'Can You Hear Me' for DJ Boris on Alleanza) and is one of the best selling artists on the site at any one time. His music comes on Cocoon and Drumcode amongst others, and is powerful, direct stuff for the dance floor.
Written entirely in Italy, "X-Pollination (or cross-pollination) is fundamentally the key factor of growth, consciousness and life," says the artist. "It's the way I connect with people, share my passion, fly from one place to another and put many influences and elements into my music."
The title track is eight minutes of slow burning but hypnotic techno funk with rolling rubber drums and nervy pads. Frazzled synths add post apocalyptic vibes to this main room anthem and many well crafted peaks and troughs along the way help make it even more standout. It is a real techno classic in the making.

Mark Reeve is the UK star who remixes. He has a long history with techno that goes back to the rave scene. Since then his education has taken in trips to techno mecca The Omen, has resulted in music on Cocoon and collabs with Pig & Dan. He has also released on Drumcode and has a big rolling sound that fills the world's finest clubs and warehouses with his unique grooves. His take on the original is more energetic, with searing synths, cantering kicks and a dark energy that makes you pump your fist and stomp the floor. It is full of drama and is perfect balanced from start to finish.
This is another fine release in a landmark year for one of techno's most consistent performers.

After his joint ep with Sascha Sibler and his fabulous contribution for the ten years anniversary compilation of the label, Daniel Bortz returns to Permanent Vacation with his first solo EP since the infamous "Bella Avgvsta" Trilogy. Four tracks that are hard to pigeonhole and show the great variety of Daniel Bortz's production skills: You will find euphoric techno, hard hitting Dub, cinematic breakbeats and heart warming electronica, all dancing harmonically in a giant echo chamber.

Len Faki's "Death By House" was undoubtedly the ultimate hit on the next to last Cocoon Compilation H, uniting the Techno and House floors worldwide in a sense of hedonism like no other track before !! now released with new mixed by adam beyer and a mochi !!!

Andre Crom is back with what are likely to be the biggest club trax of his career so far.

'Circuit' and 'Breaker' are peaktime techno tools with overdriven drums, relentlessly functional arrangements, and a massive dancefloor potential.

'Circuit' builds with a strong bass fundament consisting of a woofer-shattering kick and a syncopated low-tom-bassline, adding interchanging percussion patterns and the name-giving vocal, before resolving into siren-style synth sweeps which build into the break.

'Breaker' relies on a similar mainroom techno drum pattern, but replaces the vocal and synth for an energetic acid bassline, sure to fuel every dancefloor with a rush of energy, and reminiscing of 90ies-techno.

Herck is back on FA>lE Records with this sublime EP. Fathoms steals the show, rolling percussive groove, crazy vocal and a a break that will make the hairs on your neck stand on end. On the flip are Criteria and Uniform. Another 2 great cuts. The young Romanian is on fire. Expect to see a lot of him in 2016...

Superb techno release for Dune records... With a long side from AcidUpDub, a minimal acid techno device, kind of a stable mental phase lost in the middle of the night.... After party style is possible too. Tribal. Second side brings 2 new commers for me. 909 Resistance for the beginning, with a hangar techno 909 acid device... Could have been an Old Tresor production. The EP finishes on something more experimental and inductrial, very downtempo from Geotropism, my fave tune here for its weirdness.. but really hard to play in a party ^^ ahahah:) A Great great production, once again big sound from Shane The Cutter. BIG UP !

Co-Founder of The Galactic Shelf Records and resident DJ for MODU:LAR - Nerram is a Liverpool-based artist that's been making music and DJing for over six years. Having spent this time carefully refining his productions and growing a unique record collection; he's built up an edgy style based around original, rare house music and punchy minimal. Nerram is an exciting UK artist embarking on the next stage of his career.

Nerram launches The Galactic Shelf with a debut 3-track EP including a remix by Voigtmann. Combining driving, futuristic sounds with deep grooves and breaks - this trio of cosmic cuts come dancefloor-ready and represent the artist's diverse sound encapsulated. Enigmatic and Micron on the A side are an Odyssey through big basslines and twisting synths, followed up by the experimental, spacey Round and Round on B1. Completing the release is an altogether different interpretation of the first B side track by Voigtmann - a grooving, stripped-back outro by this excellent producer.

The first track, Moaning, has a linear feeling at the beginning: a layer of bass lines makes your feet move instantly until some subtle piano sounds come in at the perfect moment. It creates an atmospheric vibe and when the bass kicks in again, everything seems to fall into place. Cosmjn's interpretation is, as expected, more serious and it has a no-nonsense approach: stripped of the melodic piano sounds, a strong bass line takes over, which makes for an interesting contrast to the original track.

If Moaning was a more gentle track, Fr Sa Su is a little bit different: dance floor oriented, the rhythm is certainly higher and it has some intriguing background sounds that go hand in hand with the powerful bass that grows on you from the start of the track. The Florian Meffert remix closes this EP and it goes out on a strong note: it is a complex track with very different elements and sounds that complement each other just right to get things going.
