Alexander Gentil is as polished at compiling his futuristic sounds and unique fresh vision into tracks that leave listeners yearning for more. The Journey starts with a field recording of children playing in a playground, as the laughs and joyfulness evolve, it is taken over by dark atmospheric textures & a haunting melody line that flies throughout the record. Continuing the experience minimalist Composer & part of the Soundwalk Collective Kamran Sadeghi gives the record a new twist and a more dancefloor-oriented approach, Following it The record Inertia, is a dark and groovy record with a 303 acid Motif all throughout and beautiful reverberated sax melodies that keep the listener locked in. Salvation keeps things mysterious and concludes the EP as a bonus track only available for the vinyl release.

Berlin-Cologne based duo Atlantik is well known for incredible ravish live sets. People go ballistic ! Georg and Clemens played their set more than three years ago on one of the parties and everybody instantly felt in love with it. Atlantik has got a residency at the world famous Sisyphos Berlin where they set up their impressing analog machine park on a regular basis. The Snö EP contains two original tracks plus a crispy remix by Feines Tier friend Schlepp Geist.

Agoria is artistic moniker of widely acclaimed producer and composer Sebastien Devaud and this is the release of his first album in 8 years entitled “Drift”.

The second release of the relatively newborn, Berlin-based Italian label Autarchy Records offers yet another various artists release, as for the first output, the label gives light to Autre and D Roots - both producers are near to the label - and invites relevant figures of the scene to reinterpret the original tracks, specifically Hiver and Juju & Jordash.

AU002 starts with a banging tune by Autre, a slow crescendo that turns right into an emotional synth parade - Autre is a Berlin-based Italian house DJ/producer, who recently released on XDB's Metrolux. Dekmantel affiliates Juju & Jordash rethink the 'Prima' track, revisiting Autre's dreamy concept adding some industrial-ish elements.

A whole different scenario appears when you flip the record on the B-side. Deep house Italian rising talent D_Roots drops a nostalgic flavour with the house-oriented 'ASMR', anticipating a solid, colourful closure of the EP which see Hiver's rework of the track, a yardstick that rounds things off just to the beginning of the A-side.

Bellringer by day, DJ by night, Philipp Gorbachev returns to his own PG TUNE label for his fascinating third LP, KOLOKOL (‘The Bell’). A singular blend of cutting-edge techno and industrial with the distinctive sound of Orthodox church bells, Philipp Gorbachev’s unique vision, also extended to an accompanying experimental documentary and a radical new live show, documents the life and spirit altering experience of becoming a bellringer himself in the time since his last full-length, 2016’s uncompromising ‘Unlock The Box’. Now, on KOLOKOL, Gorbachev utilises his masterful use of electronic music textures and his multi-instrumental to adapt and subvert some of the most inspiring sounds that have ever rung out.

Originally conceived as an Eastern ‘gospel’ inspired album in the vein of Robert Hood’s pulpit trips as Floorplan, the resulting record is an earthier, more brooding journey, arguably echoing the soothing and powerful tones of the bells themselves, which match the earth’s frequency of 8hz, rather than classic and increasingly digital club sounds. Those anticipating claps, snare rolls, hi-hats and melodies may find themselves surprised and moved in unexpected ways; in the sonic church of Gorbachev’s creation, the ever-unpredictable Gorbachev mines tension, ecstasy and catharsis in the sound of more than 40 belfries, played live by hand, sampled and then sequenced with compelling and inspiring results.

In an accompanying and beguiling short film, we glimpse Philipp Gorbachev at the mercy of both the bell and a higher power at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Berlin, and wandering across the vast, snow-dusted plains of his native Russia. Abstract and provocative visual sequences combine the experimental, industrial sound design of the record with distinctive imagery from Christian Orthodox heritage, to subtle and even quietly psychedelic effect.

Completing Philipp Gorbachev’s holistic vision for the project is a new live show, already premiered at Moscow’s legendary Mutabor club in May, which sees the producer meld the communal and healing atmosphere of the traditional belfry with the more radical surroundings of the rave culture he is best associated with. A bracing and unforgettable introduction to this new style of spiritual music, the performance will tour avant-garde festivals and club spaces over the next twelve months. An ambitious and highly personal statement, KOLOKOL is an independent and necessary call for new bridges between spirituality and rave culture, demonstrating how an unexpected blend of technology and faith can transform ancient dogmas into communicative code that can heal anger and separation in the modern age.

Emerging Italian label Castenea Records has been on a rich vein of form of late. Spurred on by quality signings a la Pressure Point, TC80 and OdD Music, they've quickly won the hearts and minds of numerous similarly-inclined artists. Their latest is a case in point. Coming at us from Modbox aka Patrizio Restelli, it features three originals from the man in question as well as a remix from one of minimal techno's most exciting new acts, the inimitable Topper.
Kicking off the sounds of 'The Science Behind First Impression' EP is 'Halo Effect'. A heads-down, zippy track that conjures up images of a hazy Villalobos and Zip after-hours session, it's made up of but a few parts but still manages to force a distinct

impression. An auspicious beginning, it wonderfully sets the mood for Topper's reinterpretation. Imbued with slightly more colour than its predecessor, its gradually warmer remix acts as the perfect foil to the sounds of the original.

The B side gets underway soon after with 'First Impression'. A jazzy number that's indicative of the producer at his playful best, it's full to the brim with smile-inducing tones and is sure to work a treat wherever it's let out of the bag. Culminating the release is the sounds of 'Jam Confidence'. A more stringent affair that sticks to an eerie script, it sees us out the door with some panache. An EP that's sure to force an impression, that's for sure.

Kiev based "vinyl only" label Nastroy present its 1st release based on a concept Modern Nostalgy. Deep & intelligent sounds from MicroHouse to Minimal Techno.

London based label and party Butter Side Up follow-up a sold out debut release from Christian Jay with another helping of atmospheric house music, this time from Leeds based rising star Midge Thompson. The long time BSU associate serves up three tracks that are complemented with a rare remix from the legendary Titonton Duvante.

Opener 'Destination 2242' is a slick and spaced out broken beat groover. Sci-fi motifs wither next to a sprinkling of garage percussion and rubbery drum programming is brilliantly loose and body popping. 'Delta' gets even deeper, with skeletal drums knocking out an infectious late-night rhythm while dreamy pads flesh things out. Spacecrafts drift in the background to add some cinematic stylings and make it perfect for the more close-knit dance floors.

On the flip, 'Beeston Lights' picks up the pace with perfectly rolling kicks pulling you in as keys twinkle up top like a distant metropolis at night. It's smooth and breezy house music to carry you away on a blissful vibe. Remixing is Titonton Duvante, a long time influence on the Butter Side Up crew and a cult figure in heady house circles thanks to definitive work on his own Residual Recordings, Mosaic and many others. His chunky take on techno is hard to beat, as proven here with a remix that re-works the drums into busy, restless things that work the feet while the Americans's typically ethereal pads bring real depth.

Mood 24 returns with the "Mood Series" various artists. For this installment we have 4 special tracks each one to suit different styles and tastes. First up we have "Nima Gorji" with his Contraction track. A groovy minimal track, repetitive but at same time brings you along through a little journey on the dance floor. "Dragutesku" gives us a deep and dark track with special little sounds here and there to bring suspense and anticipation to this wicked track. "Negru" has a more solid house style. 808 drums, sick sub bass and a jazz melodies. "Petar Cvetkovic" gives us some more tech house orientated sounds, simplistic drums, groovy rolling percs and a sick vox to wrap things up nicely.

After a series of successful online releases, Eagervision is proud to present EV V001, its first vinyl print issue. Their mission to unleash fresh talents with no boundaries is fully channeled in the four tracks delivered by four different artists, each one bringing its own vibe on board.

On the A-Side ‘Como Gotas De Agua’ by Alffie breaks the seal with its bouncy bassline and warm pads. The mood changes instantly with Octave’s track 'Montain Do', where the dreamy background of liquid sound textures gives the listener a positive psychedelic feeling.

The B-Side starts by delivering a darker minimal sound with a techno touch. m.James’ ‘Bambalu’ will keep a sweaty crowd going in the middle of the night. Closing off the LP you will find ‘Ferry To Staten’ by HONS - a hypnotic minimal bomb which leads to instant head-knobbing.

Alffie, HONS and m.James are all coming from the flourishing Madrid underground. They are joined by Octave, one of the most promising talents of the Romanian underground scene whose tracks receive support from artists such as Barac, Raresh and Priku.

Beacon Sound and Jacktone Records are pleased to announce a limited edition joint vinyl release by Hugo RA Paris titled Threaded Habitat. The new LP from Paris follows two of Jacktone’s most popular releases: Mystique Youth (2015) and Horizons Beneath The Surface (2016), which appeared under his alias, Lavender.

The transition to the Hugo RA Paris moniker with this album marks a more personal shift in approach. Threaded Habitat combines ambient textures and techno rhythms to reflect tension between humanity and nature—particularly the cyclical nature of collapse and renewal. It also marks Jacktone's first collaborative release with the record store and label Beacon Sound, which has put out works from veteran experimental musicians like Terry Riley and Colleen. Beacon Sound is an important node in Portland, where Paris also lives and developed the flagship modular product for leading Eurorack manufacturer 4MS: the SWN.

The album's closing track was entirely composed on a SWN prototype and recorded in one take. In fact, much of his work is done in layers of single takes with minimal processing to preserve its raw emotion and embrace minor imperfections. As an MIT-trained engineer and physicist, working with hardware—from modulars to guitar pedals and tape loops—is essential to his process of not only making but exploring sound.

Threaded Habitat captures moments of claustrophobia and bliss in seven tracks and three accompanying videos directed by New Zealand artist Sam Hamilton. Visual art plays a central role in many of Paris’s projects, which include intricate audio-visual performances and scores for full-length films like The Modern Jungle (La Selva Negra) and its forthcoming follow-up.

The LP will be available to pre-order on July 1st with a limited, exclusive content sample pack. The handmade vinyl package features photography by Sam Hamilton and will be released July 19 through Jacktone and Beacon Sound’s webshops, with worldwide sales beginning August 2nd. A remix release will arrive later in the Fall.

It's that time of year again when Cocoon Recordings goes into overdrive with the next installment of their legendary compilation series. Incredibly, it's already reached the letter 'S' and just like anything of vintage, the passing of time steadily enhances both the depth and the quality. As always the album brings together some of the most relevant artists of the moment, while the vibe is driven by Cocoon's trusted formula of organic electronics.

Love Over Entropy gets the ball rolling with "As If", offering up smooth, mediterranean vibes designed to stimulate heart-felt communication. It's an open invitation to leave your troubles at the door, exorcise the ghosts of everyday life and return to the source. Stimming's "The Gift That Never Stops To Give" continues in a low slung, tribal vein peppered with jazzed out, tubular percussion as the psychedelics gently take hold. Abstract echoes abound and peripheral effects disorientate around an exquisite hook line found gliding over sun drenched shores. John Talabot and Axel Boman aka Talaboman not only win the most bombastic track name of the year competition, but do a good job living up to it on "Big Room Anthemic Groovy Pounding Trance Dub Bomb. Superb! " The extended intro delivers a heightened sense of anticipation, as gentle bleeps, angular trance riffs and weird frequency occilations toast the synapses.

Emanuele Satie's "Planet XXX" is a perfectly balanced tech house groover, climaxing with an ecstatic breakdown primed to generate an explosion on the dancefloor. "End Days" from Edward then ups the ante with a metallic, New Beat vibe that swamps us in wild analogue noise before the deep brooding pads take over. The abstract, discordant central theme also confirms that we are leaving the warmth and security of the compilation's opening section for darker territories. Analogue squiggles dominate the opening exchanges on Florian Hollerith's "KURZVOR12" as the soundsystem starts pounding relentlessly into the early hours. A strong head is certainly required under pressure from the hypnotic, rasping synth lines.

Raxon gets things rolling on "The Turbulent" with electric hihats snaking through a dense mesh of banging snares that accompany a morphing acid line that seems to ricochet off the walls of some cavernous pressure chamber. "Jaded" then takes us into the realms of full-on industrial techno as Mark Broom transports us back to the genre's mid 90s heyday. Egbert ramps up the distortion on "Tering" with a flapping sub bass, played out across heavenly vox pads and acid washes. The dream like, retro sci-fi motif makes it one of the stand out tracks due to the fusion of a relentless battery of drums with a crystalline beauty.

As we enter the final straight, "Keep Changing Basslines" from Italian maestro Dino Lenny journeys deeper still, before it unfurls to reveal a myriad of arpeggiating synth and bass lines as the vocal sample of the title suggests. Deep, thoughtful and intelligent, there's also a hint of retro rave culture thrown in for good measure. Neil Landstrumm then takes us to Casio heaven on "Flesh Is A Prison", utilizing crisp sound that carries a laser-guided sting in the tail before Red Axes close things out with "Hevk". A long, spacey intro and more razor-edged riffs that morph and stutter perfectly encapsulate everything that has gone before.

Brimming with timeless melodies, rampaging beats and pressed on eye-catching yellow vinyl, Cocoon's Compilation 'S' effortlessly spans a broad spectrum of contemporary dance music from both veterans and relative fresh talents to the scene. Like a snake constantly shedding its skin, it's reassuring that in 2019 the genre is still mutating and reinventing itself and above all, has so much more to offer. One of the best Cocoon Compilations without a doubt.

Limited to 200 copies, this release is the third of the 5 12" from the Thomas Brinkmann Retrospektiv 5xlp box set. The 5 individual 12" will be released through 2018/19. Thomas Brinkmann is one of the great producers of Techno music and modern dance music. He initially gained notoriety in the experimental electronic music and Techno community for his full-length 'variations' of material by Wolfgang Voigt under his Mike Ink moniker, and Richie Hawtin. The variations were made by playback of the original artist records on a turntable of Brinkmann's design, which has two tone arms with separate outputs for left and right channels. The turntables were then pitched down from 33rpm to 27rpm and the results recorded and mixed. Both Voigt and Hawtin were sufficiently impressed they released the results on their own labels. Since then Thomas Brinkmann has produced some all-time classic dance tracks, many of which are collected here in what is a personal selection by Thomas Brinkmann himself. There are unreleased tracks, different versions, and tracks that have never been released on vinyl.

With releases on the likes of Organic Music, Housewax and (djebali), plus a string of stand-out EP’s via their own labels Sintope and Sintope Digital, Timisoara’s NTFO have established themselves as key names within the realm of minimal and deep house since making their production debut back in early 2008. Having released their ‘Esperantza’ EP on the label last year, here we see the pairing return to Bondage Music in fine form to open their account in 2019 with the impressive ‘Dobr’.
Title cut ‘Dobr’ opens the EP as the duo quickly go to work, introducing a slick blend of sharp drum shots amongst snaking bassline patterns, whilst ‘Blissed Out’ combines organic percussion licks, punch low end tones and warping synth leads to great effect. Next, the first vinyl only track on the package ‘Riddin’ welcomes dubby pads and crisp hats before flowing steadily into the slinking, metallic tones and 303-tinged bass stabs found throughout ‘Standers’.
