Lowtec returns to Nonplus with his second release on the label and smothers us with his sonic art yet again.a) Lowtec 'Coldred' This piece of steel strong Berlin edged Tech house pumps along from the outset, leaving no doubt that this is one to get on and enjoy. As the title suggests, the cold dark eerie sound is built for warehouses and masterfully grows into a 'Lost for words' type tune.b1) Lowtec 'Darrynane' 'Darrynane' is the first on the flip. Uncomfortable jittering beat compression is sketched into a subtle shift of swirling synths and vocal samples that drive this tune along on a hypnotic groove.b2) Lowtec 'Twizel' 'Twizel' is an attention grabber from the outset. The woodblock sounds and the evening session is in progress...then the synths lead and drift into a massive sound bomb of uber lusciousness, leaving the beat behind temporarily. Upon its return, the tune lifts into a late night heads down shoulder twisting groove monster...and when the Harpsichord drops, say 'hi' to the hairs on the back of your neck.

Here's the first outcome on Junky Robot Wax. 3 angles of Noisebuilder's music is explored here. 'Music Quest Everyone' is a melodious techno anthem hard get off your mind once it goes on. 'Fat Cat' would tend to be minimal and hard at the same time, its devastating kick won't leave the dancefloor without beeing noticed. And last 'Maison Liquide' brings a gooffy minimal house atmosphear.

Up next on Kant Recordings is the Swedish producer Pehr Genlogue. From the moment we first heard the demo of"Pincer Movement", we knew that the track was special.

With it's incredible sound of depth defying bass, pulsing synths and dramatic breaks, help it stand out from the crowd. On the remix front we have brought in some of the Swedish techno elite.

Agaric, who is frantically busy in the aftermath of his highly respected album on Ovum, delivers and arena shattering remix. Nima Khak (Drumcode/Truesoul) takes the original on a more thought provoking, deeper journey. And to round out this release we have the Swedish minimalistic masters, Kretipleti, who twist things up and take it dark.

The latest Saved output comes from One Records co-owner and Berlin-based artist Subb-an.
For his release Subb-an presents "This Place", a record which is deep, groovy and is laced with a very catchy vocal. Finishing off the release is label boss, Nic Fanciulli who delivers his rendition on the flipside with a very cool sharp remix featuring several of the original parts as well as the vocals and works it to great effect.

Hugo Barritt was a promoter at London's infamous 'Egg' venue, during which time he focused his attention on Robert Owen's residency at the club. A friendship was struck up and when Hugo finally decided to leave to concentrate on production he could think of no-one better to provide the vocal's to 'You Are' than the most recognisable voice in dance music, Mr Owens himself. Befitting such a wonderful coupling, Efdemin heard the track and agreed immediately to provide the remix, and a splendidly slick ride it is too, taking the merest hints of Roberts vocal whilst injecting a melodic feel for a blissed out ride through the early hours. Contrast that with high octane thrill's of murmur regular Tom Demac's remix - dispensing with the subtleties of the original in favour of a power house ride of beats and bass, warping Robert's vocal into something altogether sleazier.
