One of his further production partners is his homie Dan Caster from Berlin. In this great EP you can listen his long experience as dj, promoter and producer. All in one together a big techhouse vinyl with pure emotions.

Etherwerks' second release is an EP titled Triplane by Hannu Ikola. The release includes three unique tracks with a diverse approach to modern techno. Starting off the release, a blend between experimental styles and big room techno, "Black Ingrained Dust" draws from driving rhythmic elements and swelling textures. "Escape Pod" is a cut with classic drum machine aesthetics, echoing the golden age of techno. The closing track "Pylon" is a dubby techno heater with growling
synth basses and ghostly detuned chords, presenting a strong analogue flavour.

Very thin and precise.. kind of minimal hardtrance melted to a mental galop, the kick is clearly tribe even if only 148 BPM on the A-side. B side opens at 130 BPM and still bring a tribe style... A newskool techno is digged. Groovy and not too vulgar kicker. Superb EP. Obscur HS limited as usual ! ENJOY !

Hizou Music is delighted to welcome into the family the much-talented and vastly-experienced US producer and DJ Aakmael with our second vinyl release, the superb Sour Alien EP. Having been born into a musical family and surrounded by music all his life, Aakmael is one of the true deep house heads having been DJing since he was 16 and chalking up a 20-year stint on US radio. He also has a string of very fine releases to his name on labels such as the highly-respected Uzuri and his own excellent imprint UnXpozd. For Sour Alien the man stays true to his deep roots. Opening track House Music featuring the vocal talents of Esq is a marvellous percussion-driven homage to the music we love that will keep any dance-floor moving. Following on from the opener is Empty, a cut that takes the tempo down a little but keeps the standard just as high with melancholic chords that touch the soul. Dubb, meanwhile, opens up the B-side with a much chunkier groove that gets right into your head, while completing the EP in fitting style on a more down-tempo note is the beautiful and soulful Depth.

From his beginnings as F.U.S.E. on Warp, Richie Hawtin has come a long way in the minimal techno game. The Plastikman project now offers up "EX (Performed live at the Guggenheim, NYC)" on Mute. A hugely welcome return, this is his first album under this pseudonym since 2003's seminal 'Closer'. EX was recorded live at the Guggenheim, NYC sometime last year and is a modern update on the hypnotic, slowed-down acid trax that he was a pioneer of way back in 93'. Throughout the seven track album we are treated to his trademark brand of twisted squelchy 303 acid lines, but with a modern backdrop of psychedelic synth lines of epic proportions. There are echos of classic Plastik in the 'Spastik'-like ball bearing snares of 'EXpire' to the more moody tracks like 'EXtend' and onto the sedate house of 'EXtrude' rendering this album the perfect soundtrack for introverted solo missions and late nights wondering around empty art galleries and basement nightclubs.

Hey everyone, It's me again. I'm sipping coffee and staring at this Mac's calendar, suddenly realising it's already been more than 4 months since the release of 'Adamant". I think thank-yous are way overdue so I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge everyone involved in the project as these have been a really amazing four months. Enough nonsense and let's back to business, or the purpose of this text: I (drumroll) proudly present the final 5 re-interpretations from some talented friends. It's an honour for me to have Francesco's techno, David's modular madness, Jake's synthwork and Martin's melodies all in one package, but being both fan and friend of everyone on board I'd be blatantly biased in describing this record's contents. So, since it's 2014, why don't we switch banalities, skip the 'description' and 'let the music do the talking' (ugh, did I really just write that) Thank you all! PS. Seriously, does anyone read these anymore

On Memento Split 001, Gas and Acirne come up with two fresh releases who show their love for
unconventional soundscapes and musical emotions.

Gas' 'El Merendero' features low-pitched vocals and throbbing rhythms which give the track a
doomy atmosphere. Warm synths provide a crescendo feeling of paranoia that leads to the distorted
analog acid sounds in the break. A presence that rises from the depths, it ends with disturbing
laughs, a quirky nod to the pleasure and pain mood of this tune.

Acirne's 'Luise' is upbeat and housey, with a driving bass melody and synth tones complete keyboards that fill the breaks and an almost ambient-like vibe that gives a hazy
touch to the track's ending.

Dave Vega's remix revolves around a heavy kick and bass structure. Snare, percussions and
distorted sounds fill the space with a menacing tone, while old-school techno synths give the whole
piece a sense of dreariness.

Ernesto Ferreyra's remix, based on a more minimal beat, big bass textures and uplifting pads, is the
counterpart to Acirne's more intimate and soft side. Images of dreamy landscapes are portrayed by
layers of sounds. The delay on the keyboards in the final part makes for a sonic trip, a sun-kissed
vision that resonates with colour and passion.

Here comes Berlin`s Sebastian Nielson with his great Debut Release
on Beatwax and 2 Brilliant Dancefloor Smasher, that for sure will be
played on every Festival this Summer .Beside those tracks we have a
great bassy Remixmonster from Hungarian Tomika plus 2 solid
clubgroover. That`s all what you need for a Perfect Package!

Three unreleased tracks from iueke's cassette archives recorded somewhere in early 1991.

Manuel Mind & Valentino Tomasi's dadaesque electro underground hit "Strange Sounds", released on A Touch of Class, lately has been remixed by numerous gifted techno and house producers. Strange Sounds Remixes Vol. 1 includes the distinguished sound of established minimal acts Andri (Highgrade, Slutfunk) and Canson (Bar 25, Cityfox) as well as an ambient interpretation by electronica pioneer and former Grauzone member Marco Repetto, plus a joint old school jam by Swiss house legend Djaimin and original artists Mind & Tomasi. This remix collection is the first vinyl release on newly formed Le Bal Records.

Gabriel Ananda was captivated by the sound of Classical music by the early age of 8. He was encouraged by his family to practice the cello, but it was through playing the guitar that fueled his motivation to continue to learn about music. The guitar became a useful tool to express his creativity, but Gabriel was not finished searching for his musical direction. In 1995 that changed. A DJ set by Sven Väth was the pivotal moment that ended Gabriel's search to find his passion and two years later, the new producer celebrated his first release for the German label Hörspielmusik. He went on to release singles on Treibstoff, Trapez, Platzhirsch, and Karmarouge before producing what was for him, a life changing track.

His 2004 release of 'Süssholz' went straight to the top of the German DJ charts, landing in the playlists of any well known DJ. It was followed by another 'hit' in 2005 titled 'Ihre persönliche Glücksmelodie', and then 'Doppelwhipper', which topped the end of year charts in 2006 and placed Gabriel in the eyes and ears of an international audience, and quickly became one of the main contributors to the growing Techno scene of Cologne. He began playing for the most prestigious events on an international level, as a DJ, and a live act, using not only his own productions, but also self made MIDI controllers, showing his passion for all aspects of music, and the performance.

In 2008, Gabriel founded his own label, Bamati, as a place where he can release his own productions with complete artistic freedom, and by the end of 2011 Basmati celebrated its nine releases, eight of those from Gabriel himself. One of the most notable being the Live Series, which brings the energy of his live sets to the DJ, and includes the worldwide chart topper, 'Hey Blop'.

Gabriel enters 2012 with a strong vision for himself and for Basmati. Expect more great moments to come...
