After the great release of 'Ivano Tetelepta & Roger Gerressen / Floating EP' that have been cousing a buzz in the underground scene. Japanese rising label 'Fasten Musique' continues to lead the deep tech minimal pack with its third release featuring the finest producers.

Aus einem Musikgeschmack entstand ein Kontakt, aus einer Verbindung wurde eine Kollaboration und aus einer Zusammenarbeit wurde eine gemeinsame EP.
"incontrol" aus Lyon und "Wolfgang Lohr" aus Berlin produzierten zunächst nur virtuell, über Dropbox, zusammen und schoben sich gegenseitig die Bälle zu. Dann wurden die Ideen im Studio ausgearbeit und finalisiert. Das Ergebnis ist ein Electro Swing Track "Le Swing Ist King", der mit seiner eingebauten Tanzgarantie nach vorne peitscht und einen satten Ohrwurm hinterlässt.
Der zweite gemeinsame Track "Holy Blues" siedelt sich im noch recht frischen Electro Blues Genre an. Hier treffen bluesige Vocals auf Mundharmonika, Gitarre und eine satte Glide-Bassline.

Abgerundet wird die EP durch starke Remixe in eigener Interpretation, von "Shemian" (Deutschland), der als einer der Electro Swing Pioniere gilt, und 2011 sogar für einen der besten Electro Swing Artist nominiert wurde. Und "Grant Lazlo" (Marseille) der in Frankreich und auch international zu einer echten Größe mutiert ist! Die EP wird sowohl auf Vinyl, als auch digital im Juni 2013 bei dem Hamburger Label "Ton liebt Klang" released werden. Eine starke Symbiose, mit viel Groove und Melodie für den Club....c'est la vie!

SCI+TEC brings you the first of this new breed of Dubfire productions and kick things off with the first of the tracks to be completed, OCTVS. Whilst we are treated to the trademark muscle of the kick-drum, it's the groove and sheer level of 'funk' that immediately grabs you on the lead cut. Its warm pulsating bassline is countered by its piercing and cascading sirens. This is primetime Dubfire fare.

Paul Loraine first appeared on Bigger Deer back in 2010 as a remix artist, tackling Ryder's 'Thursday Night'. Armed with a two track EP, Paul returns!

The cultured Minimood Extra label introduces London based newcomer TCHERNEYAN with remixes from the mighty OCH and Minimood's own VOLT.MAR on green colour vinyl. The A1 is provided by OCH, producer of the legendary 'Whalesong', and consists of icy hi-hat ringlets and rippling dub techno chords, which merge into a slice of prime time excellence. Next A2 'Mauvais Présage' is a deep techno track built around a dumpy kick drum that gets slowly embellished with skating and skirting percussion and distant groaning chords that sound like sad monsters. The B side opens with TCHERNEYAN's second original B1 'Vision', an eerie, vast and empty open space of chilly synths and echoing voices. Finally, VOLT.MAR on B2 then reworks Mauvais Présage into something that lurks with menace in some desolate industrial park where intriguing synth lines weave their own path and white noise blasts occasionally jolt you from your trance. Much like the previous release, Minimmood have struck stripped back, deep and dubby techno gold with this latest EP. VINYL ONLY / NO REPRESS!

SCI+TEC welcome David Sidley and Duncan Murray aka. WHYT NOYZ to the family. Formed in 2010 the duo have quickly impressed with their driving techno productions that match live drums and innovative vocal samples. Having caught the ear of Richie Hawtin with their early demos,WHYT NOYZ were soon featuring on his Minus12 imprint and their track 'Volcano' was included on Hawtin's 'New Horizons' compilation. An invitation from Dubfire to produce an EP for SCI+TEC saw the boys hard at work at the tail end of 2012. The result is the rampant double-header of 'Homewurk' and 'Jack Tha Box'. Throughly tried and tested by the label boss, both tracks are now certified SCI+TEC hits and ready for release. With their own blog now live (noyzaudio.com), an upcoming ep release with Octopus Recordings and the impending launch of their own label, NOYZ, 2013 is set to be a groundbreaking year for the duo and its all starts right here.

NYC based imprint Serkal return with release number 005 from fellow Big Apple residents, David Gtronic & Randal M. Since his first releases in 2010 David has steadily built a reputation for his trademark aggressive techno grooves. A key artist for Monique Musique, he has featured on no less than seven releases for the Canadian imprint but has also graced the likes of Kina Music. Suara and Art Of Dark. Here he joins forces with Sankeys regular Randall M on the 'Aliena EP'.

The title track sees the duo applying a weighty bottom end alongside industrial beats and fluid sounds and fx. Deep, moody and atmospheric. Scuro takes a similar path. Tough, dark and laden with organic sounds it is powered throughout by its earth-moving kick drum. An Underground Story takes a slightly softer approach thanks mainly to its dreamy melody. The strong kick is still very much present but the spoken vocal, from a well known DJ, floats across the plucked guitar line to perfection.

Desolat duo Livio & Roby turn their remix talent on Aliena and deliver a wonderful revision wrapped in an elasticated and warm baseline. Their hypnotising groove runs throughout but its their pulsing bass riff that will really cause a stir on the floor.

MARC DE VOLE "THE BLING EP"

Marc de Vole, known from releases on Kostbar, Tracer, Piston Recordings, and one part of the act "Boss Axis" gives his debut on "Enterv2 Records".

He created a minimal groover with hypnotic and nice nervouse elements called "The Bling". Dennis Reich's Remix moves in the field of minimal-dub-techno-sound with some elements of the original, Mag Ivory proposes a harder way with his Remix.

A Bonustrack can be found on the flipside by Marc de Vole & Stefan Strobe called "ChillyBean". Its an imitation of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean".

It's time for the second release of S.A.M.'s own imprint Delaphine. After releasing on prominent labels such as Fathers & Sons, Subwax Bcn and Pluie/Noir he is turning to his own label with his deep vibes and grooves. The emphasis on this release is to transmit an honest reflection of the melancholia of the northern hemispheres using field recordings and other soundscape aesthetics together with classic drum machines and dub sounds. The B-side features a remix from none other than S.I.M., the brother of S.A.M.

A1. Evolving hypnotic minimal techno track packed with dynamic details and subtleties. Nice warm track with a wink to the reggae MC's. For the after hours!

A2. Unusually deep jungle on the basis of smooth lo-fi pad sounds. The melodi will stick in your head and you will feel like bringing the needle back to this cut immediately after it ends.

B1. The A1-track is here remixed by mystery man S.I.M. who in fact is S.A.M. brother. S.I.M. brings his own dry groove to the pad sounds of the original and add's a very interesting signature melody into the breaks which gives the track a great depth. Fragile, dry and well balanced remix. Top!

B2. Here we have a s sort of dark dubby 909 based house track that kind of places you 'in there' inside the track observing the mysteries soundscape background without quite knowing what it is you observe and while you are there you notice that you got an amped 909 breathing down your neck.

- I respect those artists deeply who can form and shape the idea of music to their own taste by instinct and nature. Giuseppe Marchegiano as Hubble is like that. Giuseppe is well-known by his very special, airy and organic sound which is based on the fusion of techno and experimental music. But in this case would be mistake to talk about only his music. As i remember we met first time in 2011 on a Sleep Is Commercial party in Berlin, he invited me before and i was really waiting for the moment to listen him live and chat a bit personally. I was sitting there and listening him trough hours and watching his every movements, but to be honest; already after the first ten minutes i realized: what im listening something magical, and its not only about music, soundsystem or fame. Giuseppe has a magical world inside and the music is his language, and all the time when you listen him - speaking' than you can be sure; its true. This makes him one of the most interesting and impressive artist of nowadays electronic music scene. His obsessed fanatism of music; his childlike innocence, calm and magical personality and the mutual respect what we give to eachother - both as freinds and as producers - inspired me a lot in the last years. Quite probably our favourite pair of releases from Dominick Fernow's lesser known alias Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement, 'The Plant With Many Faces' and 'Folklore Venom' are now available on vinyl for the first time, following on from an excellent LP for Blackest Ever Black and 12'for Bed of Nails. The project has become one of Fernow's most intriguing, offering an artificial, unnerving take on both Ambient and more propulsive electronic music, in turns reminding us of everything from Selected Ambient Works Vol.II to John Carpenter, Vangelis' Blade Runner soundtrack, Leyland Kirby, classic Chain Reaction, Demdike Stare and, of course, Fernow's own myriad productions under various aliases. For the most part, the project has been an experiment in tonal dread and dankest atmospheres, but on 'Folklore Venom' rhythms play a more prominent role, pacing anxiously below the dense murk of 'Upside Down Left Eye' or as a stodgy techno bedrock to the inclement conditions of 'The Spirit Wore The Shoes Of The Boy', or a sputtering, diesel powered chug to the noxious vibes of 'Black Magic Originated In Nature'. Factor the petrifying gloom of 'Spirit Companion Sick-Bed' and the unheimlich, exotic sonic ciphers of 'Malaysia Yellow Herbs' and you have one of the strongest releases on Hospital Productions yet.

Yakine is part of the new emerging Parisian scene, after releases on labels such as Esperanza, Eklo, and Circus Company, he now launches the Cicero ep on Amsterdam's thirtyonetwenty.Four bassdriven (tech) house tracks to set dancefloors on fire !!

'Untouchable' is Straight Al Capone - Murder-tastic and super dangerous, this track would make Elliot Ness quit the FBI and become an alcoholic. This is deception turmoil work at it best, as that superman packed bass line till you can't get anymore. This is a made in trenches track to hurt the masses hard when you play this loud and proud. This is a 100% reason to buy this vinyl all day!


'Kaleidoscope' is really a little like, that a super trip of 3x the amount of acid bass-line, pitch and sound deception that i really only took one pill instead of two. Real outta control designed heart-beat techno not quite for my listening habit, but we can see the wild and crazy South East side of the world enjoying more then some others.
