Polydor is pleased to announce the release of MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again The Movie Soundtrack this summer. The highly anticipated soundtrack is produced by ABBA's Benny Andersson and set to be released on Friday 13th July, with the film following a week later.

The eagerly-awaited sequel to the smash-hit MAMMA MIA! The Movie is released on July 20th. MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again will see Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, Dominic Cooper and Christine Baranski reprising their roles from MAMMA MIA! The Movie, with Lily James and Cher joining the cast. Alexa Davies, Josh Dylan, Andy Garcia, Jeremy Irvine, Hugh Skinner and Jessica Keenan Wynn complete the cast.

MAMMA MIA! The Movie, released in 2008, also based on the songs of ABBA, is one of the highest-grossing live-action musicals of all time. Its companion soundtrack sold 1.5 million copies in the UK and achieved global sales of over 7.7 million. Almost a decade since its release, its popularity has not waned. There have been 406 million combined streams of MAMMA MIA! The Movie Soundtrack. ABBA are one of the most successful pop groups of all time. The Swedish quartet have sold over 385 million albums worldwide and their songs have been streamed over 2.8 billion times.

incredible couple of years for Hynes, who recently
wrapped up a tour opening for Tyler, The Creator
in arenas across America. As Blood Orange, he

writing a collection of classical music with Third
Coast Percussion, directing and releasing a series
of his own videos and being called one of the Fast
Company’s 100 Most Creative People For 2019.

Brought together by their common love for soundtracks and Italian library music of the late '60s and early '70s, the four members of La Batteria are veteran Italian musicians with experiences ranging through progressive post-rock (Fonderia), indie pop (Otto Ohm, Angela Baraldi), experimental jazz (I.H.C.), hip-hop (La Comitiva, Colle der Fomento), and world music (L'Orchestra Di Piazza Vittorio). The band performs original compositions influenced by songwriting from the heyday of Italian movie glamorama: music for images made between 1968 and 1980, by such masterful experimental composers as Ennio Morricone, Stelvio Cipriani, Alessandro Alessandroni, Bruno Nicolai, and bands such as Goblin and I Marc 4. The band plays all vintage instruments, but their debut self-titled album is not merely a revival; it's a projection of the past into the present. So, between the lines of their cinematic prog-funk, one can detect traces of afro-beat, hip-hop, and kosmische music, all filtered through a typical Italian feeling. La Batteria was conceived in Rome, the same area and environment where those soundtracks and library records were made. The album was mastered at the historic Telecinesound, owned by Maurizio Majorana (former bassist for I Marc 4), and was originally intended as a library album for Romano di Bari's Flipper Music (parent label of such cult labels as Deneb and Octopus Records). Four Flies Records is proud to exhume another classic soundtrack from the world of Italian giallo with Nora Orlandi's incredible score to the 1969 Riccardo Freda film, "A Doppia Faccia" (a.k.a. "Liz & Helen"). Starring Klaus Kinksi, Margaret Lee, and Annabella Incontrera, this film is from a story by the king of the macabre, Lucio Fulci.

For the first time ever on vinyl, this mysterious and charming soundtrack, leads off with a sensuous main theme; a powerful track with great harpsichord chords progression and a melody that really stands out.

Maleficent sounds, gothic atmospheres, and alarming voices, all make this soundtrack captivating yet disturbing at the same time.

The tracklist also includes the uptempo "beat-at-cinecittà" classic "Soho", used to accompany the ever-present party scene in psychedelic swinging London. The trip continues through the unexplored lands of the Italian cinematic groove, unearthing new pearls buried for too long. While the previous chapters consisted of lost jazz-funk materials, mostly recovered from the mythical Italian RCA archive, this time this new volume concerns more in frightening and amazing tunes, used for horror, thriller, erotic and violent-pop movies.

The result is a deep journey into the secret history of the second half of the 70's Italian soundtracks, focusing on sounds that were designed for cityscape chases, high-tension scenes, erotic nights, haunting and dream-like sequences.

The Hateful 8 is the eighth f ilm by two-time Academy Award winner Quentin Tarantino, and the f irst time time he has made a f ilmwith a dedicated score. Who bet ter to help create and coordinate his first dedicated score than the legendar y film composer and Academy Award winner, Ennio Morricone. Tarantino has used Morricone pieces in each of his most recent six films, including Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds. The Hateful 8 marks the f irst time the two have collaborated throughout the production of the film to create a complete picture: bringing together the sounds, sights, and passionate grit to fabricate a truly well rounded piece of smart ar t. Morricone star ted writing music at the age of six and has been composing critically acclaimed film scores since the 1960's when his career was launched af ter composing the score to The Man with No Name trilogy s tar r ing Clint Eastwood. Morricone established himself as the master of spaghet ti western scores and later on began working in all genres of f ilm with directors such as Franco Zef f irelli, Federico Felini, Roman Polanski, and Roland Jof fe put ting him on par with the major composers and establishing him as one of the all time
greats, composing soundtracks for over 400 film and T V projects.
He has made his mark on film by blending jazz, folk, blues, funk,
and classical music to make for brilliantly simple scores that set
him apar t from the rest. In Tarantino's tradition of not confining
his soundtrack selections to space or time periods, the soundtrack also features songs from Roy Orbison, David Hess, and The White Stripes to round ever y thing out. Hateful 8 is the most sweeping and narrative soundtrack Tarantino has released yet, and is sure to become a classic.

Laurel Halo presents an album’s worth of score provided for the 2018 essay film Possessed, by artist collective Metahaven and Rob Schröder, produced by Dutch Mountain Film. The film was nominated for the IFFR Tiger award and the CPH:Dox New Vision Award in 2018. Her first foray into writing music for screen, the album provides a rich variety of sounds, from aqueous, subterranean drones, to plaintive folk pieces for violin and cello, to uncanny pseudoclassical piano mutations.

It’s fitting for Laurel Halo to move into the score world. Already known for her ability to craft evocative, emotionally charged music, the pieces on offer give shade and contour to the central questions of Possessed. We arrange our lives to impress the gaze of others and have become obsessed by our own image, we are looking for a new, personal way to relate to others, but how do we find new ways of being together, outside the self-surveillance we have created? The film’s sophisticated collage of live footage combined with found footage of makeup tutorials, smart phones melted by liquefied lead, facial recognition software, selfie risktakers atop cranes, and tourists filming their every move in Rome all point to the central question of the film: who is looking out for you?

The soundtrack traverses both the synthetic and acoustic, in keeping with the film’s tension between what is natural and unnatural. Opening track Hyphae unfolds like the titular fungal network, spreading and extending indelibly; the various Rome Themes all motivic in their romantic yearning; the surreal piano of Marbles pointing towards the recurrent image of void like black marbles, all knocking against one another, but never touching. Zeljava, named after the abandoned former Yugoslavian military air base featured in the film, is a central piece for it’s resonant, wrenching quality, like a perpetually arched back. In a nod to film music tradition a simple rendition of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater is also included in the collection.

Violinist Galya Bisengalieva and cellist Oliver Coates provide rich performances, and renowned engineer Paul Corley lends additional production.

most sought after records by many collectors and fans. Cold and tenacious rhythms suggest mechanical killer instincts, brooding synths crystallize the fear of an AI-controlled future, but the warm and gentle sounds of guitar and piano ease the tension and bring hope of humanity. From its menacing introduction to it's tender ending, Tom Raybould’s masterwork ingenuously blends ambient, electronic, neoclassical, and synthwave to recontextualize and upgrade the classic 80's sci-fi movie score template, holding it's own against mammoth soundtracks like Blade Runner or The Terminator. Cold with a touch of humanity like the perfect machine, Tom Raybould’s movie score won the BAFTA Cymru award for Best Original Music in 2013.

Adam Higton presents his first collection of library music.

Encompassing comic strips, collage and sound art, York-based illustrator and musician Adam Higton's work documents the daily goings-on of the forest folk within the realm of the Cosmic Neighbourhood. In classic Higton style, this new 10" sees songs acting in response to a series of paper-and-scissors compositions.

Sonically, these recordings straddle new and old, taking modular electronics, flutes, bells and softly pattering drum machines,
before colouring them all with the amber glow of some forgotten, psychedelic kids' TV programme. Higton's benign toots and echoing jingles bring to mind Daphne Oram's early delay experiments or the meandering playfulness of Tom Cameron. Radiophonic and time-worn, it still somehow sounds like the future.

Adam's illustration work has appeared in the New York Times, Anorak and Zeit Magazine.

The Omega Productions Records is proud to present you for the first time on vinyl the Martyrs (2008) original motion picture soundtrack, composed by the french duo Seppuku Paradigm (Alex and Willie Cortés).

Directed in 2008 by Pascal Laugier (ten years before his last film, Incident in a Ghostland), Martyrs is undoubtedly the most controversial French horror film of his decade. Beyond the
symbolism of its purpose or the hyperrealism of its special effects, the footage is only the representation of a love between two friends, within an increasingly dehumanized society.

The music composed by the Cortés brothers results from the vision of its director, sometimes cold and austere, sometimes organic and even melancholy. Thought more by its creators as a concept album rather than a simple sound illustration, the soundtrack ends with the famous title Your Witness , with pop-Floydian accents. The song My Neighborhood by composer Goldmund is also present for the first time.

Second film by Pascal Laugier after Saint-Ange in 2004, Martyrs also represents the latest project of the make-up artist Benoît Lestang (The Living Dead Girl, The Revenge of the Living Dead or collaborator of Mylène Farmer for Sans contrefaçon, Giorgino and Q.I) to whom our label makes here tribute.

Resulting from a close collaboration for over a year between brothers Cortés, Goldmund and The Omega Productions Records, this release contains the entire score on vinyl 150gr, housed inside a deluxe gatefold with real chrome derived from the cold aesthetic imagined by Pascal Laugier. Distributed one year before the implementation of the French X law, Mannequin is the first erotic film directed by Gérard Kikoïne (Jess Franco or Claude Mulot editor). He’s famous today for his « films d’Amour » that he directed during the french porn golden age, some with Brigitte Lahaie or Marilyn Jess.

A few years before Education of the Baroness, this production offers a true vision of the aftermath May 68′ sexual liberation, between extravagant swingers and social debauchery.

This groovy soundtrack is composed by Yan Tregger, also known as Ted Scotto. If he isn’t the most well-knowed French musicians of his decade, his music is particularly related to the diggers’ culture and others underground library collectors. Composed during a pre-disco period for Montparnasse 2000, the album oscillates between nervous beats, funky strings, “à la Gainsbourg” bass-sounds and more intimate compositions inherited from Italy.

Directly restored from the Yan Tregger’s original master tapes, this 150gr vinyl release contains the entire soundtrack housed inside a deluxe gatefold cover, including liner notes from the composer.

"On February 14th, UMC brings the worldwide musical sensation CATS back to vinyl, on high-grade 180-gram 2 LP black-vinyl reissue of the Original London Cast Recording. British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, The Phantom Of The Opera) decided in 1977 to adapt T.S. Eliot’s 1939 poetry collection Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats as a song cycle for the stage, it is an indisputable international phenomenon.

CATS fans old and new will once again be able to enjoy spinning on their turntables the Original London Cast Recording of the daring show that was composed by Webber, produced by Cameron Mackintosh (Hamilton, Miss Saigon), and featured direction by Trevor Nunn (Macbeth, Les Misérables), choreography by Gillian Lynne (The Phantom Of The Opera, Cabaret), and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe (Starlight Express, The Phantom Of The Opera).

Such indelible CATS songs as the perpetually raucous, hard-rocking “The Rum Tum Tugger,” the moving operatic aria for a fallen “Grizabella: The Glamour Cat,” the nostalgic music-hall entrance for “Gus: The Theatre Cat,” and the moving, melancholy balladry of the climactic song “Memory” are among this 2 LP set’s many aural highlights."

'TENEBRE' is the 1982 Giallo masterpiece from Director Dario Argento. Although his frequent musical collaborators Goblin had disbanded while he was filming, Argento managed to convince three members of the group to reform and record the score to TENEBRE.

Claudio Simonetti, Fabio Pignatelli & Massimo Morante re-assembled in their studio and managed to deliver one of the greatest soundtracks of the 80's, Simonetti brought with him his love of Italio disco and the mixture of solid disco grooves and their intense, tight Prog Rock stylings is nothing short of astonishing.

The lead track is a vocoder lead freakout that mixes disco, rock with church organs, and screeching synth leads and that pretty much sets the tone for the entire record.
'TENEBRE' is far more electronic based than the majority of the bands scores for Argento and it really shines alongside other classic such as SUSPIRIA and DEEP RED.

Released in Paris on May 7th, 1975, Female Vampire is one of the most iconic films of director Jess Franco. stakhanovist Daniel J. White, who became popular in 1965 with the score of the Belle and Sébastien series, composed the soundtrack of this Eurociné production at the age of 59.

At a time when sound experimentation is in the spotlight among many musicians for the pictures, Daniel J. White takes the opposite to offer two scores mixing a classic compositional obsolete with, however, many atonal and jazzy influences. He composed for Female Vampire one of his most famous themes and repeated many times in innumerable productions stamped Eurociné (Zombie Lake, Oasis of the Living Dead).

With strong Italian influences (like Bruno Nicolai, also a favorite composer of Jess Franco), the Tender and Perverse Emmanuelle soundtrack is the straightforward stylistic continuity of Female Vampire, offering unparalleled melancholy lyricism.

From the great Daniel J. White: an inevitable classic Italian thriller lovers. - We offer you in conclusion, an unpublished suite formed of the musician’s session falls during the recording of these two
original tapes.

For the first time on 7-inch vinyl, the killer "Dusty Fingers" tune, LA DIMOSTRAZIONE, taken from the soundtrack for the Spanish movie, "Metralleta Stein". A moody, dark-funk midtempo track, fueled with solid drum breaks and heavy basslines.

Recorded at Fono Roma in 1971, Eroina is a series of haunting improvisations - each one inspired by the effects of a different drug - made of whirling electronic glitches, skronky horns, pounded piano, funky drums and weird tape experiments delivering the best drone/spaced/drugged out free jazz performed by the legendary ensemble of Ennio Morricone, Mario Bertoncini, Egisto Macchi, Battisti D'Amario, Franco Evangelisti and Walter Bianchi. A timeless masterpiece.

One of the coolest albums ever from the legendary Cometa sound library – a set that’s every bit as weird and wonderful as you’d guess from its cover image of a hand holding a flower with eyeballs on each petal! The music’s maybe not as trippy as that picture, but it does have lots of cool and groovy touches – sweet Fender Rhodes at some points, jazzy reeds at others, and even some more evocative passages that almost have a deeper soundtrack vibe – but which soon return to the kind of tight, funky numbers that we love so much in Italian sound library material from this time! The players aren’t named, but they’re clearly top-shelf talents from the scene – and tracks include the funky “Rash”, plus “Riddle”, “Happy Fire”, “Swallow”, “Canty”, “Diplomat”, “Gadder”, “Bike”, and “Daydream”.

There’s a new queen in town. The Crown: Season 3 will feature an entire new cast of acclaimed actors taking over the very famous royal roles. Gone is Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Claire Foy and in her place is Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Olivia Colman of The Night Manager and Broadchurch fame. “I’m so thrilled to be part of The Crown, I was utterly gripped watching it, a proper ‘Just one more’ feeling,” Colman said in a statement at the time.

The music for season three is composed by Martin Phipps, who has previously composed soundtracks for Black Mirror and Peaky Blinders. This neo-minimalistic score makes use of different tempos, string-based undertones and brass chorus lines. From the darkly moody “Black Widow” to the eerily beautiful “Aberfan” the skilfully constructed 16-track score evokes the turbulence of both the times and inner lives of the Windsor family, while remaining eminently listenable on it's own.

Bryce Dessner of The National composed the score to the movie. To create the music for the film he visited the set and began composing in the room with actors and crew. The score consists of both minimal and layered orchestral music as well as folk music. The OST features a total of 21 arrangements, which also contains contributions by Tinariwen and Mercedes Sosa.

Sucker Punch is a 2011 dystopian fantasy steampunk action thriller film directed by Zack Snyder and co-written by Snyder and Steve Shibuya. Music becomes the backbone of the film. They used actual songs for Sucker Punch that would create suitable moods. Emily Browning did the vocals for the songs “Sweet Dreams”, “Asleep” and “Where Is My Mind” that are played during the movie.

Notting Hill is the 1999 romantic comedy classic which was well received by critics and became the highest grossing British film released in that year. The soundtrack to the Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant movie is another classic formula. It offers everything a Romantic movie needs, from Elvis Costello and Al Green to Shania Twain and Bill Withers. What counts is the mix of those oldies and some new songs. The original music was composed by Trevor Jones.

El Extraterrestre’ smash hit... not to mention a wide range of unofficial theme-tune cover versions from Holland, Austria, France and Germany (lest we forget an inspired late period Lee Scratch Perry Album).

In 1982 the diaspora from Steven Spielberg’s small fictional mid-American neighbourhood that played host to everyone’s favourite torch fingered, three toed, Skittle-scoffing space goblin touched virtually every family home in every major city resulting in one of the biggest cinematic merchandise phenomenas of the 21 st Century, resulting in an unexpected high-demand / short-supply play-off in which bootleggers, copyists and counterfeiters rose to the challenge like never before.

When Spielberg regrettably told interviewers that he had no intention of making a sequel to ‘E.T. The Extra Terrestria’ it instantly became open-season for the imitators... but way before somebody squeezed-out ‘Mac & Me’, ‘ALF’ and ‘The Purple People Eater’, a team of kid’s TV executives in Catalunya were ready to fill the widening gap in the market without haste. Created in 1983 by Luna Films and Televisioì de Catalunya (TV3) and screened exclusively in Catalunya, ‘Kiu I Els Seus Amics’ was one of the first E.T. ‘tributes’ to make it out of the gate and with a crew of five individual directors and writers to ensure that the five episode, one-off series hit the wave of phone-home-fever, Kiu has since remained a short but sweet micro- memory in the hearts of an entire generation of Catalonian cosmonauts.

This special Finders Keepers edition comes complete with all of Pagaìn’s cosmic synthesiser soundscapes fully intact (barring striking comparisons with the likes of Tangerine Dream, John Carpenter, Vangelis and the soundtrack music of Suzanne Ciani), as well as some rare, unreleased, incidental TV edits. The bulk of this LP is made up of tracks taken from the rare full-length album, which was released after the TV programme had already been aired and coincided with sales of jigsaws and rubberised play figures in an attempt to catch-up with the unexpected mega-success of the show, needless to say, with a short promotional window, the LP (and cassette edition) did not benefit a re-press and with most copies sold to children, few vinyl pressings have escaped repeat needle scratches and decorated sleeves.

Ghost Tropic is first and foremost the name of the third feature from acclaimed Belgian writer-director Bas Devos. The film tells the story of Khadija, a middle-aged cleaner who has no other option but to walk home through Brussels on a cold night after falling asleep on the last train. The journey is a reflection on motherhood and expectations, pride and unknown struggles, stories of the ghostly magic of a lonely night in a big city, of the kindness of strangers and the hurt felt seeing the vulnerability of someone you love.

Brecht Ameel, from the band Razen, uses his classical guitar training and his experience with various string instruments to craft a beautiful soundtrack of minimal ambient acoustic music. The Belgian musician’s intention was to create music that would be a warm blanket for the nocturnal odyssey of Khadija. A melody and rhythm to accompany her walk through the cold night, a sort of guiding light.

Ghost Tropic was premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and is set to be released on 1st January 2020. The accompanying soundtrack recording is out 2 days later.

Vinyl albums are attractive and desirable ways of delivering music
to appreciative fans. The size, look, feel and information of the
packaging and the warmth of the sound gives ample reason for
the survival and re-invigoration of vinyl releases for older original
collectors and new younger ones.

This particular eponymous album by Howlin' Wolf is a fine case in point, as Wolf is a particularly collectable album artist whose original releases command good prices, but this one is one of two that are worth considerably more.

Original clean copies of this one on the Chess Records label (Chess LP 1469) would set you back many hundreds of dollars, alongside Wolf's first record on Chess, Moaning In The Moonlight, which has also recently been released on our "Not Now" label with UPC 'CATLP154' - making a fine pair of collectable albums freshly available.
