Corking compilation of hard to find and unreleased material by Brooklyn-based metal group Sannhet - all appearing on vinyl for the first time - who debut on Hospital Productions with the explorative dynamics and wordless but lyrically emotive
arrangements of Young Death.
At an edgeland juncture of post-rock, noise and metal, theirs might not be a sound that these ears are overly familiar with, but we can tell a great record when we hear one, and this is one of the strongest of its ilk to cross our paths this year.Rather than an album proper, the band and Hospital Productions have assembled a nine-part series of portraits of Sannhet's early phase, dating as far back as 2008 and right up to their debut album, Known Flood in 2013.
The A-side banks the escalating, thunderous post-rock/death metal force of their self-released Sannhet EP cassette of 2013, along with a more expansive, unreleased piece from the same session, whilst the B-side holds both parts of the Lion's Eye EP's pelting drama,
plus two unreleased pieces from 2008, a slowerengima of acousmatiuc samples and juggernaut post-rock surges, and the spirit rubbling noise attrition of Rapid Transit.
If you were feeling last year's Clay Rendering records, or yearn for a post rock with metal gusto, not sappy cliche or neck-cricking floppy fringes, this is your lot..

Motörhead, Kings of the Road for over förty years, are immortalized one more time in Clean Your Clock, the superb live album recorded at The Zenith in Munich, Germany during the Winter 2015 Bad Magic tour. The indomitable cocktail of power, purpose and head-crunching volume that Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee always succeeded in producing is captured superbly by long-time producer Cameron Webb's mix, giving this landmark Motörhead release the warmth, curve and punch which helped the band achieve international acclaim during a career which saw the Grammy-winning icons sell over 15 million albums and play to millions worldwide. 

Clean Your Clock is also a fitting salute to the power of Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister, who founded Motörhead back in 1975 and so sadly passed away on Dec 28th 2015. Recorded only weeks before, Lemmy snarls, roars and bangs that bass with the magisterial air of a man who knows he's a leader.

Perhaps more than with any other Motörhead album, you need to TURN-THIS-UP because as Lemmy himself said, the only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud...

Mythology, fable and metaphor collide with 'Beast', a blistering new album marking the return of Despised Icon. The genre-defining band are fully reawakened, poised to recapture the crown with the monstrous and merciless might of their potent expression. Despised Icon now boldly reclaim their legacy without reservation or apology. Since the time of the band's dissolution - the result of professional burnout, the shifting priorities and responsibilities that come with adulthood and the need for a creative recharge - the group's members were able to explore different textures with groups like Obey The Brave and Heaven's Cry. The time apart has only strengthened their resolve when it comes to the purity of what Despised Icon means to them as well as to their worldwide fans. From the savagely unhinged vocals to the inexhaustible pound of the blastbeats, Despised Icon's new album is a swift reminder that this band is one of the originators of a powerful movement in extreme metal. Live at the Marquee is Dream Theater's live album recorded at the famous London's Marquee Club on April 23, 1993. It features songs from When Dream and Day Unite and Images and Words (MOVLP780). "A Fortune in Lies" is treated with more aggression than the original and remains one of their gems from the past. "Another Hand - The Killing Hand" is a combination of an instrumental commonly featured in their live shows and the now-infamous "The Killing Hand".

As exception, "Bombay Vindaloo" is an improvisation-based composition performed live only six times and never recorded in a studio.

The vinyl edition of Live at the Marquee matches the complete track listing of the original CD release in 1993 and therefore also includes "Surrounded".

Iggy & The Stooges didn't play again for nearly 30 years; still confronting audiences!

First released in 1976, 'Metallic K.O.' was the fourth album from Iggy & the Stooges, a classic, memorable recording of the Stooges confrontational last gig. The Stooges had not been heard since '73's 'Raw Power', and the sound of kamikaze Iggy in between new songs dodging eggs and glasses thrown by Hell's Angels gave him a new audience in the embryonic punk crowd. It defined Iggy as a punk originator, sold 100k+ and become the Stooges best-selling album. Previously re-issued as an extended, two-CD set with two complete shows (FREUDCD070), it's now been condensed down to the exact original album edit that shocked and inspired so many. In the 2007 remastering from the original tapes an original tape-speed fault was found - now for the first time the album can be heard in the correct pitch! As Lester Bangs said: 'It's the only rock album I know where you can actually hear hurled beer bottles breaking against guitar strings'.

Apocalyptica is an extraordinary Metal band from Helsinki, Finland formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso (all three of whom are graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki) and drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a Metallica classical tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical Metal style without the use of conventional guitars. They have sold over four million albums to date.

Inquisition Symphony (1998) is their second studio album. The album branches from their previous effort, containing only four Metallica covers. The remainder of the compositions are by Faith No More, Pantera, and Sepultura, as well as three originals by Apocalyptica bandleader Eicca Toppinen. Max Lilja did the arrangements for 'One'.

Dream Theater's first album with new vocalist James LaBrie is an excellent mix of various progressive metal styles. Berklee music school alumni John Petrucci on the six strings, bassist John Myung and drummer Mike Portnoy show impressive ability on their instruments.

Standout tracks include the complex "Metropolis, Pt. 1", "Pull Me Under" (also released as a single and video, an MTV favourite in 1992), "Take the Time" and the 11-minute "Learning to Live."

Images And Words proves that Dream Theater's musicianship and songwriting are above the norm, and they proved to hold up this high standard for years to come.

The first eight songs of the fourth Life Of Agony album are recorded live and unplugged at the Lowlands festival in 1997 (except 'River Runs Red', which was actually recorded with electric guitars with volume on 11. Song 9 ('Other Side Of The River') is a remix by David Thoener, and the last 7 songs are live bonus tracks (also, not 'unplugged').

Nailbomb's impressive debut Point Blank (1994), an Industrial, sample-heavy Metal/Hardcore project of Sepultura/Soulfly front man Max Cavalera and producer Alex Newport (Fudge Tunnel) got rave reviews in the mid Nineties. The final release of Nailbomb, the live album Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide, was recorded at the
1995 Dynamo Festival in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

With 110.000 attendees, this was the biggest Dynamo Festival that was ever put together. Featuring a line-up of bands like Machine Head, Life Of Agony, Biohazard, Downset, Dog Eat Dog, Fear Factory, and many more, this was truly an event people from around the world wouldn't miss.

Nailbomb's only live appearance, the title says it all - it's a worthy goodbye to their fans who supported the group from day one. The last two tracks were recorded at Chaton Studios, Scottsdale, Arizona, in July 1995.

Mick Barr unleashes two technically masterful and dynamic tracks that straddle the progressive metal and free jazz genres. Both feature only Barr's maniacally fast guitar shredding and screamed vocals. Chicago-based Lake of Violet is a new project, but those involved in its initial offering, The Startling Testimony of Plumb Lines, are well known to those that take interest in heavy & experimental music.

Founded by André Foisy (guitar, of Locrian, Kwaidan) and Anthony Michael Couri
(drums, formerly of Minsk, currently of Cedars of Lebanon), Lake of Violet was born from a series of free jams that were fleshed out over time with the addition of
Jacob Essak (bass, of Sun Splitter) and Neil Jendon (guitar, vocals, synths, of Kwaidan, Catherine) to the Lake of Violet line up.

The compositions on Plumb Lines... mesh the myriad influences of its collaborators, resulting in songs that are hypnotic and meditative, with thick atmosphere as a
major focus throughout the entire album. Although many of the pieces on this album began as free-form jams that evolved into structured works, they still breathe deeply
and maintain the openness and atmosphere upon which the project was founded.

The Startling Testimony of Plumb Lines was recorded by Greg Norman and Neil Jendon, and mixed by Greg Norman and Neil Jendon, and mixed by Greg Norman. It was mastered by Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording.

The album will be presented as a single LP pressed on limited edition color vinyl with a download code included.

Released in 1986 Morbid Visions is the debut studio album by Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura. While later albums have a more political edge, Morbid Visions (along with the Bestial Devastation EP) is notable for "Satanic" themes.

'Some things are better left at peace,' explains singer/guitarist Matt Reynolds. 'When posed with a second chance we are teased by the inherent futility of it all. The underlying trust issues never leave and the all-consuming paranoia perpetually pulls each part of the relationship back to the place it wants to be. This often results in the repetition of a well familiar argument, one so recognisable that you can often stand back and allow your partner to argue with their self. It would be easy at this point to become apathetic and to let yourself be carried along without the need to feel anymore. The decisions can be made for you and you never have to work up the energy to disagree. In reality these problems mean nothing at all. Better to just break the whole thing apart yourself before this all goes too far. Break it apart brutally and gruesomely before your personality leaves you for good.'

Adept is a Swedish metalcore band from Trosa. Founded in 2004, the band consists of Robert Ljung (vocals), Jerry Repo (guitars) Filip Brandelius (bass), Gabriel Hellmark (drums) and Gustav Lithammer (guitars). They've released 3 EP's as well as 3 studio albums to date, including Another Year of Disaster in 2009, Death Dealers (which saw a shift in sound from their original post-hardcore influences) in 2011 and their latest, Silence the World, in 2013. In November 2014, they announced that their next album will be released in 2015.
Recorded in January and then re-recorded in September we can finally shine a light on this album. Through the ups and downs we created something truly beautiful with "Sleepless".
A melodic hard-hitting album with its roots to their early days. Thanks to Napalm Records they have a new found strength and confidence to push us forward.

Delain have announced an eight-track EP titled Lunar Prelude. It's set for release on February 19, 2016, via Napalm Records, and features two new tracks, four live cuts, an alternative take on Don't Look Back and an orchestral version of Suckerpunch.
A statement from the band reads: 'Our latest album The Human Contradiction has taken us on a great ride, performing hundreds of stages around the globe for all of you. We barely managed to catch our breaths from our most recent tours, yet we've already got some new music that we simply can't wait to share. In preparation of our next full length studio album, we'd like to present to you Lunar Prelude - a collection of several brand new tracks, a new version of a familiar one, and live versions of some our favourite The Human Contradiction tracks.'
Delain will head out on the road across North America with Nightwish in early 2016. They made guitarist Merel Bechtold a permanent member in October.

Vinyl-Neuauflage des Mötorhead-Klassikers - inklusive Download-Code! Das dritte Studio-Album von Mötorhead enthält die Hits "Bomber", "Dead Men Tell No Tales" und "Stone Dead Forever". Das Album gilt als einer ihrer härteren Werke, was sich in Klang und Texten manifestiert. So richten sich die Texte beispielsweise gegen die Polizei ("Lawman"), und in "Poison" phantasiert Lemmy, wie es wäre, seine Ehefrau zu vergiften. Allein das von Blues beeinflusste "Step Down" schlägt versöhnlichere Töne an.

Vinyl-Wiederveröffentlichung mit Downloadcode! Overkill ist das zweite Motörhead-Album. Dieses wurde zuerst 1979 veröffentlicht. Neben dem gleichnamigen Single-Hit "Overkill" enthält es die legendäre Coverversion von Richard Berrys "Louie Louie". Auch das Stück "Tear Ya Down" gehört zu den absoluten Favoriten der Band. Auch wenn Mötorhead niemals Punk-Rock spielten, war ihr Stil auf Geschwindigkeit und Energie ausgelegt, so dass die Band in dieser Phase ein großes Crossover-Potential besaß.

Neuauflage der Vinyl-Edition von "No Sleep Till Hammersmith". Das ultimative Motörhead Live-Album! "No Sleep Till Hammersmith" (1981) ist Motörheads erstes Live-Album und baut auf dem erfolgreichen Vorgängeralbum "Ace Of Spades" auf. Das Album gibt gut die Intensität wieder, die Mötorheads Konzerte zu entfachen vermögen. Von Fans wird stets die gute Soundqualität dieser Aufnahme gelobt.

Die Neuauflage der Vinyl-Edition von "Another Perfect Day". "Another Perfect Day" (1983) ist Motörheads erstes Studio Album ohne den Gitarristen "Fast" Eddie Clarke, der die Band kurz zuvor verließ. Ihn ersetzte Brian "Robbo" Robbertson, der der Band kurze Zeit später ebenfalls den Rücken kehrte. Robbertson verleitete die Band dazu, eine etwas melodiösere Gitarrenarbeit zu integrieren (z.B. bei "Shine" oder "Dancing On Your Grave"), was Fans des klassischen Motörhead-Sounds fast schockierte. Der Produzent Tony Platt sorgte allerdings dafür, dass "Another Perfect Day" hinsichtlich des Sounds eines der best-klingendsten Alben der Band wurde.

Neuauflage der Vinyl-Edition von "Iron Fist". Motörheads fünftes Studioalbum wurde 1982 veröffentlicht und ist das letzte in ursprünglicher Besetzung, da der Gitarrist "Fast" Eddie Clarke nach der Fertigstellung von "Iron Fist" die Band verlässt. Dieser war mit dem Album nicht zufrieden obwohl - oder vielleicht gerade weil - er dieses erstmalig selber produzierte und der sonst sehr dreckige Sound der Band etwas steriler daher kommt. Dennoch stehen Songs wie "Iron Fist", "Heart of Stone" oder "Speedfreak" den Vorgängern in nichts nach. Ein ähnlich erfolgreiches Album gelang der Band erst wieder in den 90er Jahren.

Wiederveröffentlichung des achten Motörhead-Albums als Vinyl-LP. Der Song "Eat The Rich" wurde für Peter Richardsons gleichnamigen Film aufgenommen und als Single veröffentlicht. Da das Album in Michael Palins (einer der Mitglieder von Monthy Python) Redwood-Studios in London eingespielt wurde, konnten Motörhead ihn für eine Zusammenarbeit bei einem Song gewinnen.

Wiederveröffentlichung des siebten Mötorhead Albums als Vinyl-Edition. Der Titel "Orgasmatron" sollte Jahre später in einer Coverversion von Sepultura Beachtung finden, während der auf dem Frontcover abgebildete Zug auch Lemmys Faszination für Modelleisenbahnen geschuldet ist. Als Produzent zeichnet sich übrigens Bill Laswell verantwortlich.

Was hat Tamas mit Body Count und Bob Marley gemeinsam Auf dem ersten Blick erst einmal nichts.
Wenn man genauer hinschaut, stößt man auf das Gerichtsurteil von 2010 welches den Song - Fickt die
Cops mildernd zwischen Marleys - I shot the sheriff und Body Counts - Cop Killer einreiht. Vor
diesem Urteil ging es alles andere als mild zu: Tamas (damals noch Teil von DeineLtan) wurde über
Nacht zum Staatsfeind Nr.1, was wiederum zu einem eher mies gelaunten Sondereinsatzkommando
vor seiner Tür um 06:00 Uhr morgens führte, welches ihn umgehend in eine Zelle beförderte und vor
Gericht zerrte. Tamas hat sich allerdings auch von dem SEK nicht einschüchtern lassen und macht
unbeirrt Musik. Das was jetzt aus Christoph Hesslers Produktionsschmiede auf die Öffentlichkeit
zurollt ist allerdings alles andere als HipHop. Technisch hoch anspruchsvoller Rap gepaart mit heftigen
Metalproduktionen erschaffen wahnsinnige Thriller und Horrorfilme in den Köpfen der Zuhörer und
zeugen von phantasievollen Gedanken, die seines Gleichen suchen. Der in Wedding/Berlin
aufgewachsene Tamas ist eine absolute Legende im Untergrund. Der liebevolle Chaot und absolute
Sympath trinkt nicht nur jeden unter den Tisch, nein er shoutet auch alles in Grund und Boden.

Marking 20 years since its original release, Dodheimsgard's classic and highly-regarded
debut 'Kronet til Konge' is now presented on 180gm heavyweight black vinyl with a four
page booklet featuring additional content, including unseen photographs and liner notes
from all three performers, sharing their memories of the band's formation and early
history.

The double CD digipack set, this edition includes a bonus disc featuring an extremely rare
rehearsal session recorded in 1994 on the run up to the album studio recording (with raw
renditions of tracks from the trio of Vicotnik, Aldrahn & Darkthrone's Fenriz).

To fans of black metal, Dødheimsgard need no introduction, being as they are one of the
great purveyors of the Norwegian Black Metal creative evolution. The band was formed in
1994 by Aldrahn (Thorns, The Deathtrip) and Vicotnik (Ved Buens Ende). The early
incarnation was that of a raw and at times melodic black metal band, with their debut
album also featuring Darkthrone's Fenriz on bass.

Over time Dødheimsgard became known as one of the premier avantgarde black metal
acts after a stylistic shift away from their more old-school origins, as displayed on the
band's mighty 2015 album, 'A Umbra Omega'.

Hardcore EBM outfit, Youth Code, returns with an even harsher stab at their signature industrial sound with the new single: Anagnorisis. With producer Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly) at the studio helm, Youth Code come out swinging harder than ever. "Anagnorisis", backed by "Shift of Dismay", are just the tip of the iceberg for the pair as they push forward with their upcoming sophomore full length album on Dais Records in 2016.

Born in 2012 out of a Los Angeles bedroom, Youth Code is the creation of Sara Taylor and Ryan George. The band made their spontaneous live debut at LA-based record store Vacation Vinyl's employee showcase. Word of the incendiary live performance quickly spread and was followed by release of the well-circulated, coveted, Demonstrational Cassette which saw the band hone their semi-improvised initial set into something altogether more muscular and lean.

Soon after, Youth Code was invited to release a limited edition 7 inch single with the legendary Genesis P-Orridge's label, Angry Love Productions. The single quickly sold out and saw the band receive praise from industrial heavyweights including Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly. Shortly after the single's release, the band signed on with label Dais Records to release their 2013 self-titled full length, which was met with widespread critical praise from outlets as far ranging as Pitchfork, Fact Magazine and MetalSucks. In 2014, Dais saw through the release of their much anticipated EP, A Place to Stand, which featured remixes by Silent Servant, Clipping, God Module and Sanford Parker.

In 2013, Youth Code brought their brand of Industrial to audiences all over the US on supporting gigs with AFI, Nothing, The Body, Suicide Commando and a stint at SXSW that had Tucson Weekly call Youth Code the, "Best Surprise of the Festival". Regarding the SXSW performance, The LA Times added, "The band [Youth Code] is a perfect balance of muscular synth drums, white-noise analog pulses and singer Sara Taylor's defiant shrieks. It's harsh stuff, but never less than riveting to watch, and a perfect rebuttal to a festival that looks ever more like a [sic] A-list party than a place to truly hear something new. Thank God Youth Code was there to fix that at the end." Finishing out 2014, Youth Code embarked on the now infamous Eye vs. Spy Tour with industrial legends Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly and Haujobb.

Die Reihe der Reissue-Serie als - Ultimate Editions' findet mit - The Deluge'
seine Fortsetzung. Die einst 1986 auf Black Dragon Records erschienene LP
war das fünfte Album der Erfinder des Genre - Epic Metal', allerdings erst die
zweite, die damals in Europa auf regulärem Weg erhältlich war. Gerne wird sie
mit dem Vorgänger - Open The Gates' in einem Atemzug genannt, obwohl sich
viele Veränderungen eingeschlichen haben. Die größte Gemeinsamkeit ist das
erneute Coverartwork von Eric Larnoy, welches bis heute Maßstäbe setzt. Ohne
ihre epischen Wurzeln zu verlieren, wurde der Grundstil härter und teilweise
schneller. Während sich Drummer Randy Foxe auf - Open The Gates' noch eher
zurückgehalten hat (er stieg kurz vor den Aufnahmen erst in die Band ein), brennt
er auf - The Deluge' ein wahnwitziges, fast schon progressives Feuerwerk ab.
Keine Frage, - The Deluge' ist ebenso ein Klassiker im Katalog der Band wie
zuvor - Crystal Logic' und - Open The Gates' und in vielen Punkten ist dieses
Album sogar besser. Die Ultimate-Edition enthält erstmals eine remasterte
Aufnahme von den Originalbändern. Sämtliche vorherigen Versionen wurden von
Vinyl genommen, da das Band erst kürzlich aufgetaucht ist. Das Resultat ist
wesentlich druckvoller und klarer, als man es von älteren CD-Reissues gewohnt
ist und zeigt den größten Klangvorteil im Verhältnis zum Original aller bisherigen
Wiederveröffentlichungen auf Golden Core/ZYX. Der Bonusbereich hat es wieder in
sich: Neben zwei Liveversionen aktuelleren Datums sind es vor allem die mit einer
4-Spur-Maschine aufgenommenen Vorproduktionen von zwei Songs, von denen
einer für diese Veröffentlichung neu gemixt werden konnte. Ein weiteres Schmankerl
ist eine Liveaufnahme aus den Achtzigern, die von einer VHS-Kassette stammt,
die kürzlich aufgetaucht ist. Am Ende wird der Ausnahmedrummer Randy Foxe mit
einer - Drums-only-Version' vom Titelsong - The Deluge' ins verdiente Rampenlicht
gehoben.
