Touch of Sin is the follow-up of Sinner's Danger Zone. The
heavy metal of the previous album has transformed into a
more poppy approach, but still with a lot of power. It features a lot of their famous speed riffs and heavy melodies, with some rocking edges. On the album
they're mixing the eighties hard rock with catchy and effective tunes.

Matt Sinner is the man behind the energetic heavy metal
band Sinner. He took part in the popularizing of the 80s
German metal. After all these years he's still recording and
performing.

The band's aesthetic and political impulses reflect the obscure '90s DIY hardcore punk found on labels like Ebullition, Vermiform, and Crimethinc. From 2004 through 2016, the band has released four full-length albums, six EPs (some bordering on full lengths), two collaboration records with The Body, and enough material spread out over splits to make up another four or five LPs.

In the months leading into the new album, Thou will be releasing three drastically different EPs: The House Primordial on Raw Sugar, Inconsolable on Community Records, and Rhea Sylvia on Deathwish, Inc. Each record will focus on a particular sound—noisy drone, quiet acoustic, and melodic grunge—all of which is incorporated into the new LP, subsumed in the band's more standard doom metal.

While sonically, Magus may be a continuation of Heathen, thematically it stands as a stark rebuttal, a journey beyond the principles of pleasure and pain. It is more the culmination of these distinct EPs, which all orbit some internal black hole. Warrant is a German speed metal band which released their debut LP The Enforcer back in 1985. At that time they didn't get much attention in the German music scene and the popularity of the few years later formed hair metal band of the same name didn't help either. They're defining speed metal again in the 3/4 minute songs. Aggressive drumming and fast-paced riffs and the heavy production set them apart from the better known German metal artist from that time, like Helloween and Blind Guardian. The mind blowing solos and fun songs are heavy and subtle. It's one of those records which is pushed away by the many records that appeared at that time in the metal circuit, but is really worth to have in your collection.

These veterans of the Belgian punk scene release their second vinyl "Stekkerdroad" on Turntable Sounds! The track 'Cash For Punk' is their own tribute to the late great Johnny Cash.

Danish death metal act BAEST, joined the Century Media Records family in early 2018. The translates to 'beast' or 'brute' in the band's native language, which fits just perfectly with their vicious sound. Renowned for their savage Boss HM-2 pedal abusing guitar tone, BAEST have a deadly old school backbone and combine it with their own creative edge and an incredible, ferocious live energy. The quintet has performed at festivals such as Copenhell, Roskilde, Royal Metal Fest, Eurosonic and supported bands like Hatebreed, Dying Fetus, Entombed A.D. and Illdisposed. After the independently released Marie Magdalene EP in 2016 and last year's 'Crosswhore' single, the Aarhus based band is now eager to release its first full-length, Danse Macabre.

Molten Giant, the bands newest effort, pays homage to Kaiju movies and is a concept album about a nuclear war between a gigantic lava monster and the surviving human beings. The album is indisputably EXOCRINE at their finest and features phenomenal production, blistering guitar playing, ominous synth heavy atmospherics and massive unbridled brutality. The 8 track effort was tracked by Mathieu Pascal at Bud Studio, Sylvain Octor Perez at Tricerapod Studio and sees EXOCRINE pushing their jaw dropping technical abilities and song writing maturity to their absolute limit.

With this epic performance Moonspell once again showcase their reputation as one of Europe's best live bands. A unique and solemn spell seems to shroud every spot as soon as Portuguese alchemists Moonspell enter the stage and it was a very special evening indeed when the band played an exceptional show at the Campo Pequeno arena in their hometown Lissabon on February 4th, 2017. That inimitable bond between the gothic metal act and 4.000 of their fans in the sold-out venue is pure electricity, captured for all eternity on the massive DVD / Blu-ray package Lisboa under the spell. Three discs cover the cult albums Wolfheart, Irreligious and Extinct (all three performed live in full-length!) and in addition boast a very intimate one-hour documentary offering a glimpse behind the scenes. It was definitely about time, since Moonspell aficionados have been thirsting for a new DVD ever since Lusitanian Metal (2008)! SLASH Featuring MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS have now announced they will release their new album titled LIVING THE DREAM on 21st September 2018 on Roadrunner Records with the first single Driving Rain being unleased on Weds 25th July.

LIVING THE DREAM is SLASH's fourth solo album, and third for SLASH and his bandmates MYLES KENNEDY (Vocals), BRENT FITZ (Drums), TODD KERNS (Bass & Vocals) and FRANK SIDORIS (Guitar & Vocals). The band has also unveiled the album cover art and tracklisting for the album with the eye-catching front cover artwork being created by renowned visual artist Ron English.

SLASH describes the creation of 'Driving Rain'; 'This is a riff I specifically remember playing with the guys for the first time at a venue in New Hampshire on the World on Fire tour,' explains SLASH. 'It's a cool guitar part we ran though, and from that point forward the rest of the song started to come together in my mind while on the road. We put it all together this year and Myles came up with a great melody for it.' MYLES KENNEDY adds, 'The riff is very reminiscent of vintage Aerosmith. It's got a certain funk to it that's compelling. Lyrically, it's a story about somebody who works on the road--it could be a musician, and it could be a traveling salesman. What makes it interesting is this guy has an addict girlfriend or spouse who continues to relapse, and she ends up getting him to come home. She's miserable and falls back into bad old habits, and that compels him to head back to her to save the day.'

Featuring the original line-up of Dylan Desmond and Adrian Guerra (RIP), the album was recorded by Brandon Fitzsimons (Wormwood, Samothrace). It is a time-stretching journey through darkness, pain, and suffering, and doomed minimalism that is now considered a classic of the genre.

Black Helium are a four-piece formed in 2016 for a special one-off Halloween gig at the notoriously heady Guild Navigator club in East London, and have since then spread their sonic gumbo of hard-edged psychedelic head-fuckery and Neanderthal glam rock swagger across the country.
 
Heavy friends Stuart Gray (vocals/guitar), Beck Harvey (vocals/bass) Davey Mulka (guitar) and Ben Davies (drums) went on to record their debut, Primitive Fuck, at Hermitage Studios with Margo Broom in March 2017. Although, Ben Davies disappeared abruptly after recording his drum tracks after experiencing a 'profound life-changing mystical occurrence'.
 
Influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Amon Düül II and The Stooges; Primitive Fuck channels an era when psychedelic rock stood for mind expanding eclecticism, and hip shaking sonic hedonism in equal measure, moving from motor city heroism, to shapeless Kosmische ambient ego-death via space ritual riff worship. Now, with new drummer, Diogo Gomes on board, Primitive Fuck represents the birth of a band your psychiatrist warned you about.

About the new song, the band collectively remark, "'Curse Of The Serpent' an ode to the grudges that everyone holds. It's a song about long lasting pain sitting in the back of your mind. The kind that just doesn't know how to fuck off. We chose this song first because it's a great introduction to the energy of this record but doesn't define the overall sound. This is a great bridge of growth between old and new."

Jesus Piece have left craters in their path over recent years, quickly developing a reputation as one of the heaviest, most uncompromising acts both on record and on the stage. With the brutal grooves of Y2K-era metallic hardcore greats like Disembodied, Turmoil, and Buried Alive at the core, the band also incorporates elements of noise, ominous tones, and haunting atmospheres into their dynamic songwriting. Only Self was recorded in Chicago at Bricktop Recording Studio with Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos, Like Rats, Lord Mantis) mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, Nails, Full Of Hell), and completed with artwork by Dom Pabon, which can be seen below.
 
On Only Self, Jesus Piece deliver one of the hardcore/metal underground's most anticipated debuts of this year. Southern Lord will release Only Self on CD, LP, and digital formats on Friday the 24th of August.

Jesus Piece have played live extensively in recent years, touring alongside Darkest Hour, Comeback Kid, Burn, Knocked Loose, Terror, Vein, Year Of The Knife, and many more. Jesus Piece have announced a European summer tour, again traveling alongside Year Of The Knife from the 15th of June through to the 1st of July. The band formed in late 2013 by former Coldworker members Joel Fornbrant (vocals), Oskar Pålsson (bass) and Anders Jakobson (drums). The line-up was completed by guitarist Kristofer Jankarls (also in Livet som insats) a few months later and the quartet focused on songwriting. The first recording took place in the spring of 2015 and the 12 tracks were released on the two 7' EP's Time and again and Mankind crawls.Following the releases of the EP's and a few live shows Axis of Despair continued to work on material with the ultimate goal to create a striking grindcore album with an aggressive, yet diverse selection of strong songs. The writing process was spread out over a year until the band went into the studio and begun the recordings in the summer of 2017.Contempt for Man propels with twenty super-charged raging songs, clocking in around the half an hour mark - short enough to retain attention, and long enough to serve a good taste of the bands particular brand of European grindcore.

The progressive metal band Watchtower is known for their complex rhythms and incoherent structures. It's no difference on their second album Control and Resistance. Ron Jarzombek's guitar performance is the key, but the whole band is performing like there is no way back in producing a technical superb album. And Control and Resistance is indeed nothing less. Instruments of Random Murder' is the first track in which they're showing off their progressive skills. You'll hear no repeating sections and the adventurous guitars sounds and shuffling drums are setting the pace for some incredible vocal parts. The title cut got a memorable riff and mechanical trashwork. It's a monument in the progressive metal and one that had a big influence on the later popularity of the genre.

They only recorded two albums, but Watchtower played an important role in the upcoming power of the progressive metal at the end of the 80s. They made a comeback during the zero's and are planning on releasing a new album 30 years after the last one.

The Slow Pace Of The Music, The Heavy Riffs, The Lyrical Topics, Everything Just Breathes Doom. Count Raven Are Daring Enough To Experiment (like The Use Of Keys On 'the Dance') But Stay Within The Boundaries Of Doom-metal. Overall This Album Illustrates Well How To Make Doom-metal Without Fusing With Other Genres, Yet Also Sounding Fresh And Original. This Is A Rare Gift Within Any Musical Genre And I Do Think Count Raven Is Under Appreciated, Their Talent Ignored By Many Newer Doom-fans.

If You Are Looking For A Pure Slab Of Doom, Then Find Yourself Some Count Raven. They Remain The Musical Ear Candy Of The Doom World (perhaps Together With While Heaven Wept) And To This Day It Is A True Shame The Band Is No More. Unless You're Truly Just Into One Of The Fringe Genres Of Doom-metal (from Stoner To Extreme Death/doom Or Gothic/doom) And Absolutely Don't Care For Anything Else, Count Raven Is Worth Investing In And You Can't Go Wrong With 'high On Infinity'. Searching On Web Sites Like Ebay Will Really Pay Off And You Won't Be Disappointed!
