Recorded both at the Black Ark and a studio in Holland in 1980 while Perry was allegedly gobbling acid by the handful. The last album to feature the sound of the Black Ark, 'Return ..' is a truly spacy, meandering, borderline incoherent, but frequently amazing recording. As if Perry needed chemical stimulation to be far out, this record is a stunning glimpse of how far he was planning to push the production envelope. Must be heard to be believed

But it is the tragic and premature passing of Amy Winehouse that makes this album truly special; her appearance on the duet 'Body And Soul' is the last known recording of the British songbird, and it is a truly heartrending version of the 1930 jazz classic.
