After Vox Populi!'s "HALF DEAD GANJA MUSIC" and Frank Dommert's "KIEFERMUSIK", we have a hand picked compilation by the Hamburg artist MAAT. MAAT is a solo project by Dorte Marth, who created two secretly powerful and underappreciated records in 1993. They were released on two labels(Dragnet, Dom Elchklang) run by Achim P. Li Khan, the co-founder of the GREATEST BAND ON EARTH, H.N.A.S. MAAT'S musical pallette is at once, strikingly, a more dark and brooding occult version of Anima and Limpe Fuchs. One can hear classical music references much like Coil's Unnatural History, but played further, blurring the shadowy lines between sampling and virtuoso playing.
MAAT'S dark and glisteningly illustrated use of electronic drums, Pan-Asian arrangements, and classical styles, invent a private world where she uncovers and projects forth, a new and ancient female energy. Its almost as if she is orchestrating her pallette and shooting it through star-clusters beneath the world. Probably Typhonian Highlife's and 4th World Magazines greatest influence.

Randy Holden is an American guitarist best known for his involvement with the West Coast blues-rock group Blue Cheer on their third album, New! Improved! (1969).

Holden obtained a sponsorship deal with Sunn amplifiers. Through this, he received his legendary sixteen 200 Watt amplifiers. His new band was dubbed 'Randy Holden - Population II which was a reference to the fact there were only two members in the band as well as being an astronomical term 'Population II that defines a special kind of Star Group cluster type, having Heavy Metal in its composition. An appropriate description of the original style of the music attributed to Holden's new band. The band recorded its only album, Population II in 1970. '(...) These guitars sound not like heavy metal falling from the sky, but like black holes disintegrating chunks of the earth's core (...)' The album has become a much-sought-after collectors' item over the years.

On The Other Side collects all non-album tracks released by The Marked Men, originally released in the period between 2003 and 2010 on labels such as Dirtnap, Swami, No Idea, Shit Sandwich, and Mortville, plus two never-before-heard unreleased tracks from deep in the vault. It's hard to believe that it's been close to fifteen years since Dirtnap first released a Marked Men record. Since then, the label has done close to twenty releases by the band member's various bands (Marked Men, Radioactivity, High Tension Wires, Potential Johns, Mind Spiders). Counting the releases Mark Ryan and / or Jeff Burke have had a hand in recording, that number goes even higher. It's a relationship that continues to this day; if there is / has been a 'flagship band' for the label, Marked Men and their various offshoots are it. Although they continue to play a handful of shows each year, the band hasn't released any new material since 2009 (the last album came out in 2008), and they have no plans to do so, so this compilation is as close to a new album as one is going to get. The band's affinity for fast, choppy power chords and manic energy is in evidence here, as the band stretches its legs throughout these solid closing credits and shows why they were one of the leaders of a sound that has never gone (or will go) out of style.

If you've seen The Wombats live, you know the British trio delivers a performance full of energy and colour -- and their latest video is proof of that. Though the video for the group's new single 'Bee-Sting' isn't from a live show,

the clip sees The Wombats performing the track in an unfinished warehouse, porting brightly colored clothes as trippy neon lights pop up around the room. The video makes the Wombats guys (frontman Matthew 'Murph' Murphy,

drummer Dan Haggis, and bassist Tord Øverland Knudsen) look pretty cool, but Murph admits the set was exactly the opposite. Well, except for his outfit. 'Filmed on a hot summer's day in Shoreditch, I'd had zero sleep, there were

no electric fans and I was basically sweating uncontrollably for hours on end,' Murph recalls. 'But that jacket was worth it!' Despite the heat, 'Bee-Sting' director Sam Taylor commended The Wombats

for giving the performance their all and making the video special. 'The Wombats, to me, have always meant energy, energy, energy!' he exclaims.

Wolves In The Throne Room will be releasing the sorrowful and grand self-titled debut album by Cascadian funeral doom band Vouna through their own Artemisia Records. Mickey Jupp is something of a minor legend, a roots rocker with excellent taste and a cutting wit. Jupp is a pub rocker, a guy who specializes in laid-back good times, so it shouldn't come as a great surprise that his first band, Legend, was proto-pub, an unabashed celebration of old-time rock & roll, filled with three-chord Chuck Berry rockers and doo wop backing vocals.

Zzebra were at the forefront of mid 70's progressive rock that threw jazz, rock, and African rhythms into a huge fusion blender. Created by an amalgamation of two important figures: the saxophonist Dave Quincy from IF, and the Nigerian flautist and saxophonist Lasisi 'Loughty' Amao from Osibisa, Zzebra, joined then by Tommy Eyre, John McCoy Liam Genockey, Alan Marshall and the only 17-year old guitarist Steve Byrd.


PANIC is the second studio album of the band recorded during the summer of 1975 and includes, among the others, the highly inventive instrumental interpretation of 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling', the atmospheric 'Liamo', the groovy 'Put A Light On Me', and concludes its journey with the killer tracks 'Return To Forever' and 'La Si Si-La So So'.

Straight from the delirious minds of unconventional geniuses Kaoru Sato (who had previously released an album as R.N.A. Organism on legendary Osaka label Vanity Records) and Yuji 'Banana' Kawashima, Lingua Franca-1 is a seamless voyage of spellbinding mutant funk grooves, joyful post-punk explorations, synth fantasies, sexy distortions, and fluid cool-no-sweat vocals. Constantly mutating in an almost biological way (similarly to Colored Music's self-titled album), always mysterious and seductive, sometimes reminiscing of a freaky cross between PiL, Liquid Liquid, Bowie and Yello, EP-4's debut is hard to label, although 'Debonair Wave' could be a legitimate way to describe this Japan's best-kept-secret of an album. Defying the rules wasn't limited to sonic experimentations for band leader Kaoru Sato. To promote Lingua Franca-1, he and his crew plastered gigantic (illegal) billboards all over Shibuya and Harajuku, announcing performances in four different cities on odd hours of the same day (May 5th 1983). Other of his notable antics included originally sub-titling the album Death to the Emperor Showa causing a controversy (which led to censorship and a title-change), trying to release two albums on the same day without the concerned labels being aware of the plan or, in the R.N.A. Organism days, fooling Vanity Records into believing the demo he sent them came from a foreign band (it worked). Unique personality, unique music!

Pip Blom is a phenomenal young indie rock band from Amsterdam that's been making waves in England, a BBC radio darling touring with Franz Ferdinand and The Breeders. Pip Blom is both the name of the band and its leader, a dynamic 21-year-old singer-songwriter-guitarist. Paycheck, the group's new EP, is a roaring, attitude-laden offering that maintains their playfulness and knack for melody that's earned comparisons to Blur and Courtney Barnett.

In 2017, a series of hooky singles Pip uploaded to the internet hit over a million plays, bringing a sudden burst of overseas accolades. Tanita Tikaram was only 19 when she released her debut album Ancient Heart. She recorded a wistful and melancholy work which shows a woman with a lot of life experience. Her perfect signature song 'Twist in My Sobriety' is an unbelievable deep and stark track. Years after it's release it doesn't sound one bit dated and it shows her fully skilled talent as a singer-songwriter. Another track that made it to the charts is 'Good Tradition'. 16th November, 2018 sees the release of the latest special limited DAVID BOWIE 7" picture discs, the 40th-anniversary edition of the BREAKING GLASS E.P.. The new extended version of the E.P. features three previously unreleased live versions of the original E.P. tracks plus the addition of an unreleased live version of 'Hang On To Yourself'.
The E.P. now features 'BREAKING GLASS', 'ART DECADE', 'HANG ON TO YOURSELF' and 'ZIGGY STARDUST' live from Earls Court in London during the Isolar II tour of 1978. These four tracks are alternative performances to the ones that recently appeared on the critically acclaimed live album WELCOME TO THE BLACKOUT (LIVE LONDON '78), and none were featured on the original 1978 E.P..Initially released in the UK in January 1977 on the groundbreaking LOW album, 'BREAKING GLASS' was co-written by Bowie, bassist George Murray and drummer Dennis Davis. A longer, reworked version of the song was a staple of the Isolar II Tour, and a live version from that tour was used as the lead track on the original live 7" E.P. to promote Bowie's second live album, STAGE in 1978.

A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and 3 time GRAMMY winner, Buckingham is best known as the producer, guitarist, vocalist and chief songwriter for Fleetwood Mac and as a widely celebrated solo artist. His forthcoming album 'Solo Anthology: The Best of Lindsey Buckingham' is a comprehensive record of this illustrious career.

On October 5th, Buckingham's Solo Anthology will be released as a 3-disc set on CD and digitally and will also be available as a single disc abridged release whilst the 6LP vinyl release is slated for November 23rd.

Solo Anthology: The Best of Lindsey Buckingham includes album, live and alternate versions of some of Lindsey's most celebrated solo albums including cuts from Law and Order, Go Insane, Out of the Cradle, Under the Skin, Gift of Screws and Seeds We Sow and incorporates songs from his Collaborative album with Christine McVie released in 2017. The anthology features Buckingham's film work with 'Holiday Road' and 'Dancin Across The USA' from the 1983 motion picture soundtrack to National Lampoon's Vacation and 'Time Bomb Town' from 1985's Back to the Future. Live versions of Fleetwood Mac's 'Tusk' and 'Go Your Own Way' round out the album, but the most thrilling tracks come in the form of two new songs that have never before been released, 'Hunger' and 'Ride This Road.'

'Maria & I woodshedded for almost a year before we were ready to take the music we had uncovered out into the clubs. This is the original line-up of Lone Justice.' —Ryan Hedgecock Musician and producer Marvin Etzioni first saw Maria McKee and Ryan Hedgecock in a club in 1982, playing George Jones and Hank Williams covers. He convinced them they needed original material. After working and writing, the band added Dave Harrington (bass) and Don Willens (drums), the band worked up material with Etzioni and cut 5 of the 6 tracks at the famed Record Plant. An earlier session provides the 6th track. The Western Tapes: 1983 exhibits the genesis of this highly-influential band. While the original demo version of 'Drugstore Cowboy' has appeared on various compilations, the remainder of the other tracks from the sessions have remained in the can. Two of the tracks appear in their earliest demo form and wound up landing on the classic 1988 Lone Justice debut, 'Working Late' and 'Don't Toss Us Away' (written by Maria's half-brother, Bryan MacLean of the classic band, Love) which would eventually become a top 5 smash for Country superstar Patty Loveless. Released in conjunction with the band, the 12" and CD EP were mastered by Bernie Grundman (who also cut the 45 RPM lacquers). It's a look into where they started and foretells where they would go. As Etzioni (who would later join the band) says in his liner notes: 'With countless hours together, it was a fun and innocent time. I believed we were creating a 21st century country band.' They created much, much more.

Global superstar Michael Bublé is scheduled to release(pronounced love) as his first studio album in two years on November 16th following a two year break from public life to spend time with his family.

The Canadian singer-songwriter returned to the studio with a new perspective on life and a renewed commitment to honouring the music he has always loved.

I didn't anticipate returning to recording or performing and I was fine with that. My entire world view has changed completely these last few years. I wanted to spend all my time with my wife and kids. That was my focus. During that time, I also learned how much love and humanity is out in the world from the prayers and good wishes we received. Bublé co-produced his new album and brings new love to several rich classics from the American Songbook. The album opens with the idealistic and dreamy 'When I Fall In Love.' It also includes a haunting take on another Rogers & Hart standard, 'My Funny Valentine.' Other standouts are an ebullient 'When You're Smiling,' a swinging 'Such A Night' as well as Bublé's hand-picked favorites including 'Unforgettable,' 'Help Me Make It Through The Night,' and 'I Only Have Eyes For You.'
