Cranes' first full-length album Wings of Joy was released back in 1991. The strange combination between gothic sounds on one side and the dream pop on the other side marked a new decennia of music. It's one of those debut releases which throws you straight into the deep end. The varied tracks alternated between the heavier and lighter songs. It is gloomy, haunting and almost sinister in its atmosphere despite being made up almost entirely of piano and synth melodies.

Siblings Alison and Jim Shaw formed the band Cranes back in 1989. They recorded several successful albums, including 1991s Wings of Joy and 1994s Loved.

Wings of Joy is available as a first pressing of 1500 individually numbered copies on blue coloured vinyl.

Eric Schenkman, founding guitar player for the Spin Doctors, is a vital songwriter and virtuoso guitarist who both crafted the 90s band and cowrote all five of their Top 100 hits. His self-produced third solo album, Who

Shot John, showcases the many sides of Eric Schenkman from raw, rockin blues to funk/soul/pop. With its elemental lineup of guitar, bass and drums, and songs that seldom stray beyond three chords, its radio-friendly and familiar enough to draw listeners in.

Wow here it is..... The eagerly awaited next instalment of this highly collectable and cult series. We pride ourselves as the Pebbles series of the Punk Rock scene... In this latest volume we have done something a little different as we have compiled rare tracks from ENGLAND and SCOTLAND.

So let the battle commence.... Opening up side 1 we have THREE UNRELEASED tracks from London's Small Wonder Punk trio THE ZEROS. This was supposed to be the bands follow up to 'Hungry / Radio Fun' but for reasons unknown it was shelved and stayed unreleased until NOW! When our off-shoot 'Only Fit For The Bin' label released 'Lost Boys' last year, it should of had all the bands recorded output as these tracks were thought to have been lost forever but as fate would have it, the tapes were found AND BELIEVE ME, these THREE tracks are absolute PUNK ROCK killers and blow away their debut single! The next three tracks are by one of St. Albans earliest punk bands, TANYA HYDE & THE TORMENTORS. Forming in 1977 they played all the punk haunts except for the Roxy. Their style was unique and was fronted by Tanya Hyde (she went on to release a solo single in 1979 but this wasn't Punk). These tracks featured here have NEVER been released before and came from the bands original demo tape that they recorded back in '77. Side 2 ends with Luton's underdogs ACME ATTRACTIONS who released one great single back in 1980. Here you have the A-Side from that single and a totally unreleased track by them ... TURN IT UP!

Now for the Scottish side, first up is a totally unknown band from Edinburgh called BAD WEEKS. Formed in 1979, this band delivers some great in-yer-face PUNK ROCK. I bet you a few hours later you'll be still humming these tracks! Moving on we have RED LETTERS, yet another obscure band hailing from Newton Grange in Midlothian. This band released a very rare single back in 1979 that featured three great tracks. On this volume you are treated to the first track from that release and a TOTALLY UNRELEASED track from that same session. Just try tracking down an original copy of that single! The next two tracks are by one of Scotland's longest running Punk outfits, yes, we bring you FIRE EXIT. These tracks featured here have NEVER been heard before as they were the bands very earliest recordings and were NEVER released until now! They even pre date the band's debut single! Gerry hasn't heard these tracks since the day he recorded them as they were on an old reel to reel that he unearthed last year. Side 2 closes with SEDITION 81 who hailed from Glasgow and has gone down in Scottish punk folklore as they released a VERY VERY limited single in 1981 and is one of the hardest singles to find. They rarely come up for sale on the market. So here it is, both sides in all its glory! Teen Punk Rock!

Once again it comes with its usual A5 16 PAGE BOOKLET that is crammed full with all the liner notes from the band's themselves and features rare and unseen photos.

The Malmö, Sweden based quartet Arre! Arre! is back with their first piece of new music since the
acclaimed debut LP A.T.T.A.C.K was released in 2015, become one of the year's most praised rock records in Scandinavia, being nominated for rock album of the year at the Swedish Grammys, and only made available outside of Scandinavia in November last year, to coincide with the band's debut UK shows.
Tell Me All About Them is due for release on March 15 via PNKSLM Recordings (ShitKid, Les Big Byrd, Miss World etc) in connection to the band making their US debut during SXSW. Showcasing the band's unique brand of feminist rock 'n' roll, with influences from surf, garage rock and punk, it's a definite statement of intent from the Swedish band. The album was recorded during the fall of 2018 in their hometown of Malmö with producer Joakim Lindberg (YAST, Hater, Echo Ladies etc).

The compilation album Hits! primarily focuses on Boz Scaggs material released between 1975-1980. He recorded some memorable songs at the end of the '70s, including hits like 'Lowdown', 'Lido Shuffle' and 'What Can I Say'. 'Lido Shuffle', Scaggs' second-biggest hit off his critically acclaimed album Silk Degrees, was the polar opposite of 'Lowdown'. The Hits! expanded edition adds more to the likes of Boz Scaggs lovers. The 1988 ballad 'Heart of Mine', charting in the US single charts, is a classic from his later period which is included on this edition.

From the opening notes of Never Decide, the RidingEasy Records debut album by Athens, Greece quartet Bus The Unknown Secretary (aka B.U.S.), you'll know it's going to be a wild funhouse ride. It doesn't sound like just four people, it sounds like a mob of wild-eyed lunatics on the expressway to your skull. And, you're not gonna know what the band's name means, don't worry about it.
Never Decide is a multifaceted album in the vein of classic hitters like The Hellacopters, Alice Cooper Band, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Orange Goblin.
"The story of the album expresses the psyche of a person in a dead end and his life is introduced into obsessive rhythms, more personal and random," explains vocalist/guitarist Bill Politis. "There is no happy end here, but the questions remain: Door A or Door B Time to change or time to die, Never Decide!"
The album opens as if we're in the studio with the band listening to playback for the first time. There's a chirping test tone and someone starts counting in, "one, two, three..." before it suddenly grinds to a halt. Then suddenly the swirling guitar riff of the pummeling anthem "You Better Come In, You Better Calm Down" launches everything into the stratosphere. The guitars march in lockstep as swinging drums keep it all rolling at furious pace as the vocal chant of the song's title grows into a massive group chant in harmony. Think Uriah Heep's "Easy Livin'" meets Kiss' "Rock and Roll All Night" -- here's another big, blazing anthem for the ages. "I Buried Paul" is the sort of fun, theatrical album track no one makes anymore, not since the days of the Alice Cooper Band. "Lucifer" takes things several shades darker, turning in a dramatic ballad launched by haunting piano chords and led by sinister, sneering vocals sounding something like Ozzy meets Johnny Rotten slowly building to its epic conclusion in double time with ringing harmony guitar leads. "Evil Eyes" and "Moonchild" return the proceedings to the anthemic, pop-laced vibe, replete with major-minor chord shifts and vocal/guitar harmonies galore.


Never Decide was recorded in just 5 days in February 2018 with multitalented engineer and band's beloved friend John Vulgaris at Electric Highway Studios in Athens, Greece. The entire band -- drummer Aris Fasoulis, bassist Spiros Papadatos, and guitarists Fotis Kolokithas and Politis --recorded the instrumental tracks live in 3 days, reserving the last 2 for vocals. Over the 2 months that followed Vulgaris and the band fine-tuned the mix into the subtle and clever masterwork you have before you. BUS formed in Athens in 2011, releasing two EPs and a full length The Impious Tapes, followed by The Cross EP (2014), and The Unknown Secretary LP in 2016. During that time the band has toured extensively throughout Greece and in neighboring nations. The release of Never Decide will see them expanding that touring radius considerably.

The Church were founded in 1980 in Canberra, Australia. Their jangly guitar pop, combined with emotional and smart lyrics, proved an immediate smash 'down under' and beyond. Their 7th album Starfish was recorded in Los Angeles with producers Waddy Wachtel and Greg Ladanyi, both longtime veterans of the L.A. studio scene. When released in 1988, it rightfully became the breakthrough of The Church in the United States. The album peaked at #41 in the Billboard 200, no small feat for a non-US act. 'Under The Milky Way' was released as a single and nearly topped the Mainstream Rock charts, topping at second place, and reached #26 on the Billboard Hot 100. 'Reptile' was released as a second single.

In October of 2018, ten years after the launch of their hit HBO
series, musical comedians Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement
returned to HBO for an all-new comedy special. 'Live In
London' was taped before a live audience at the Eventim Apollo
and featured the Conchords performing songs from the sold
out UK and Ireland edition of 'Flight of the Conchords Sing
Flight of the Conchords Tour'.
New Zealanders McKenzie and Clement debuted on HBO in
2005 in an edition of the comedy series 'One-Night Stand',
returning to the network in 2007 for the debut season of their
acclaimed, Emmy-nominated series 'Flight Of The Conchords',
which followed fictionalized versions of their lives in New York
City.
The duo also signed a worldwide deal with Sub Pop Records for
their recorded music, going on to release the Grammy-winning
EP, 'The Distant Future', in 2007, followed by two full-length
albums - their self-titled debut in 2008 and 'I Told You I Was
Freaky' in 2009.
The Conchords have also enjoyed individual success. Clement's
film credits include the 'Rio' movies, 'Men In Black 3', 'What We
Do In The Shadows' and 'The BFG' and he's also been seen in
his role in FX's 'Legion'.
McKenzie was the music supervisor for 'The Muppets', which
won him an Academy Award for Best Original Song for 'Man Or
Muppet' and 'Muppets Most Wanted'.

Gemeinsam von West nach Ost zog es Kamala in die aufstrebende Musik- und Kunstszene von

Melbourne psych-rockers Money For Rope release their second studio album Picture Us. Spawned from the same fertile Melbourne music scene which has fostered not only Courtney Barnett but also other friends including King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, The Goon Sax and Rolling Coastal Blackouts Fever amongst others, Money For Rope release Picture Us on the back of a dogged touring habit which has kept them on the road near constantly for the last four years. Entirely self-produced, mixed and mastered by the five piece, Picture Us was recorded over the course of a single summer in Victoria, Australia in a beach house next to the Southern Ocean.

Throughout, Picture Us is shaped by the volatile stretch of coastline next to which it was written and recorded. Evidence of Aboriginal middens discovered nearby inspired the track Trashtown - with a sound landing closer to psychobilly, it explores the wrestling of the area from its indigenous people and the changes wrought by the dominance of sea-freight and commercial fishing industries on the Southern Sea coast. Elsewhere, the slow-burn of bruised album opener, Hold, was built around a percussion track the band created by feeding the rattling sound of a box of old sailing boat parts through an old tape machine.

Whilst everything Money For Rope does is buoyed by a freewheeling 'Why not' attitude - including a mini tour across India, and McKenzie honouring various live commitments following a motorbike crash by performing from a wheelchair - don't be fooled by that derisive band name. 'Picture Us' thrums with the promise of one of Australia's most hard-working and charismatic new bands.

No Man's Valley ist eine fünfköpfige Band aus dem Süden der Niederlande, jetzt seit über 5 Jahren
zusammen jammt. Nach der Veröffentlichung von zwei EPs und dem hochgelobten Debütalbum Time
Travel im Jahr 2016 auf Nasoni Records, tourte die Band durch Europa, spielte das renommierte
Freak Valley Festival im Jahr 2018 und eine Vielzahl weiterer Support-Shows für bekannte

8. Murder Ballad

40 years after disbanding comes 'Fond Reflections', the
debut album that never was from cult 4AD band Rema
Rema.
Rema-Rema featured former members of The Models
and Siouxsie and The Banshees and their much-loved
'Wheel In The Roses' EP (1980) was among the first
records to be released on 4AD. Their only contribution
to the label's storied history, they split-up before its
release, going on to form or join bands as diverse as
Renegade Soundwave, The Wolfgang Press, Mass and
Adam and the Ants.
The debut album that never was, 'Fond Reflections'
comes almost forty years after their debut EP and has
been culled from the band's rich archive of reel-to-reel
and cassette recordings, with member Gary Asquith and
mixing engineer Takatsuna Mukai painstakingly working
on them to make the album as cohesive as possible.
The ten tracks pretty much reflect the band's live set
and is the closest to what their debut album could have
sounded like. Worth noting too that although all their
1980 EP tracks are present on the album, they are all
from different recordings.
The 2CD edition comes with a second disc entitled
'Extended Wheel In The Roses'. As its title suggests, it's
the four EP tracks as they were plus 'Entry' (taken from
the same studio session as the EP's A-side of 'Feedback
Song' and 'Rema- Rema') and 'No Applause' and
'Murdermuzic', two more tracks recorded at the same
1979 Albany Empire, London show as the EP's B-side,
'Instrumental' and 'Fond Affections'.

You To A Place Where Jars Are Kept was first unleashed in 2003. Not only popular with the stoners, the record earned two Norwegian Grammy nominations and is widely recognized as one of the country's great rock records.

Im Januar 2018 veröffentlichte Ty Segall das Album Freedom's Goblin. Damit hat er einen
Wendepunkt geschaffen. Er fragt sich, wie lange es derartige Rockalben überhaupt noch geben wird.
Zusammen mit der Freedom Band stürmte er daraufhin die Konzertbühnen dieser Welt und spielte
eine Reihe ekstatischer Setlisten, um für sich die Frage nach der Daseinsberechtigung der Rockmusik
zu beantworten. Er lässt den Rock lebendig werden. Jeden Abend, in jeder Stadt vor und mit jedem
Publikum.
Deforming Lobes dokumentiert diese Liveerfahrung. Das Album ist eine analog-mitgeschnittene
Produktion, die live im Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles von Analog-Spezialist Steve Albini
aufgenommen wurde (über ein mobiles Aufnahmeequipment auf 2-Zoll-Band). In dessen Chicagoer
Electrical Audio-Studio abgemischt, zeigt dieses Live-Album die Band in voller Entfaltung. Der Gig
ist eine kollektive Erfahrung, die über diese Veröffentlichung mit allen (Rock-)Musikliebhabern
geteilt wird. Das Gefühl zwischen Publikum und Band im Teragram Ballsaal von Los Angeles in
dieser Januarnacht war etwas Besonderes und findet über Deforming Lobes den Weg in die Welt.

Das neue Album des Londoner Trios Wyldest entstand innerhalb von 18 Monaten
unter der Leitung von Gründer Zoe Mead, zusammen mit Multi-Instrumentalistin
Mariin Kallikorm und Drummer Jack Gooderham.
Sie kreierten einen Sound, der irgendwo zwischen dem Shoegaze von Slowdive und
dem Dark Dream-Pop von Warpaint zu verorten ist.
Dream Chaos baut auf den Erfolgen der beiden Vorgänger EPs Dark Matter und

Meg Duffy grew up in a small town in Upstate New York and they cut their teeth as a session guitarist and touring member of Kevin Morby's band. The Hand Habits project emerged after Meg moved to Los Angeles; it started as a private songwriting outlet but soon evolved into a fully-fledged band with Meg at the helm. Hand Habits' debut album, Wildly Idle (Humble Before The Void), was released by Woodsist Records in 2017. The LP was entirely self-produced and recorded in Meg's home during spare moments when they weren't touring. Wildly Idle (Humble Before The Void) is a lush, homespun collection of folk songs that found Meg in an exploratory state as an artist moving out on their own for the first time. Two years later, Hand Habits has returned with their sophomore album, placeholder. To make this album, Meg chose to work in a studio and bring in collaborators, entrusting them with what had previously been a very personal creative process. Over the course of 12 tracks, Meg emerges with new confidence as both a bandleader and singer. This album is as tender and immediate as anything Meg's ever written, but it's also intensely focused and refined, the work of a meticulous musician ready to share their singular vision with the world.

The name placeholder stems from Meg's fascination with the undefinable. Their songs serve as openings -- carved-out spaces waiting to be endowed with meaning. As a lyricist, Meg is drawn to the in-between, and the songs on this new album primarily confront the ways in which certain experiences can serve as a stepping stone on the road to self-discovery. 'A big aspect of my songwriting and the way I move through the world depends on my relationships with people. The songs on placeholder are about accountability and forgiveness,' Meg says. 'These are all real stories. I don't fictionalize much.'

Meg describes these songs as their most direct to date, crafted with clear intention, and unlike Wildly Humble (Idle Before The Void), placeholder doesn't meander. 'It's less of a submerged landscape and more a concise series of thoughts,' Meg explains. Instrumentally, placeholder can be situated alongside some of Meg's folk-adjacent contemporaries like Angel Olsen or Big Thief, and the guitar work on this album proves that Meg continues to be one of the finest young musicians working today. placeholder is another entry in the Hand Habits songbook, but it's also a valuable testament of our time. While placeholder inspires a sense of ease, simple questions rarely beget easy answers and Meg honors the indescribable joy and profound sorrow that comes with figuring things out, one step at a time.

*SHIPS FOR FEB 15TH*Holiday Ghosts are back with their second LP West Bay Playroom, the follow-up to their acclaimed self-titled debut album from 2017. Originally starting out as a solo project from The Black Tambourines' Sam Stacpoole the band evolved into a partnership with Katja Rackin, before turning into a full band with the debut album - showcasing a primitive rock 'n' roll sound that's been compared to The Modern Lovers and The Velvet Underground alongside current garage rock acts, and praised by the likes of The FADER, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan and KEXP. For West Bay Playroom the band's refined their sound, offering a cleaner and more focused set of songs while breaking new ground and experimenting with influences from country, blues, spaghetti western soundtracks and more.

'A Thousand Strands' is the debut long-player from The Dandelion Set, a new collaboration between Glyn 'Bigga' Bush (Lightning Head, Rockers Hi Fi) and PK Chown (James Beige, Mr Liquorice). The album travels back to their formative years in the mid 1970s, with sleevenotes, lyrics and vocals by cult writer Alan Moore (V For Vendetta, Watchmen) and passes through a cavalcade of musical landmarks en route to the present day.

After 'Cobraxine', 'Boogie Throb', and the Ana Ott released 'Molochville', Brecht Ameel (Razen/Ameel Brecht) gives us his new album under the Br'lâaB moniker 'Other People's Crimes'; a high-on-paranoia, pre-crime-surveillance narrative, constructed after hours in the studio from a combination of Ameel's own recordings on a widely varied set of instruments, library music, flea-market broken vinyls and old cassettes. Part blind-overdub palimpsest-collage, part straightforward composition, the 10' contains both Br'lâaB's loop constructions and tracks performed by the found audio phantom band called the Acid Boogie Quartet. Bearing more gritty layers of both sound and subtext than ever, the 'Other People's Crimes' EP stands as an artefact of wild paranoia and spy-thriller sonics, weaving vignettes of surveillance gone wrong, doublethink and confessional echolalia.

Police and thieves are in the streets, running wild with nosebleeds and ill will ids. Dial v for victim as the night horizon broods a neon luminol glow. Howling at the vortex, buried under blindfolds, vigilantes take to crime with fear and ketamines.

The French-Afropean duo is back with a new funky masterpiece album! DjeuhDjoah &
Lieutenant Nicholson are French composers and afro-soul singers. The duo are creating a
new vibe with French sounds and mixing it with Jazz, Afrobeat, Electronic and Soul.
T'es qui was their first album released in 2015 and re-released a year later under the
name Remets t'es qui It was result of an intense collaboration that has lasted many
years, on stage and in the studio. They call their music 'Afropean songs', a collection of
Jazzy-Pop melodies, Afro-Soul and Funk arrangements.
This new album has 15 songs, and features a tribute to the famous poet Aimé Césaire on
the title. The Antilles are also honored with creole lyrics, and if you listen carefully - you'll
hear them distilled within the album. La Montagne Pelée's eruption in 1902 is evoked under
the prism of 'August Cyparis', one of the three survivors. The rhythms are tight and
focused, with some Antilles, but also Detroit elements thrown in, accompanied with a strong
horns section, vibraphone and analog drums. There are lots of echoes from the era of Jazz
funk and the lyrical French Mode, mixed with some slightly warmer currents that show their
wider love of modern funk and eclectic tastes.
It is a unique sound, an original recipe, using French wordplay with a universal message.
Last summer, they presented the now critically acclaimed first single 'El Nino', an Afro
Funk gem about climate change, and 'Fontaine', an Afro hit with a great combination of
analog take and electronic dance floor ingredients. With massive support from national
radios and prestigious international DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Aimez ces airs could be
one of the Top funky albums of 2019!

The Dogs ist eine norwegische Rockband rund um Kristopher Schau, Mads
Martinsen, Roar Nilsen, Kenneth Simonsen, Henrik Odde Gustavsen und Stefan
Höglin. Das in Oslo ansässige Sextett wurde 2011 durch die Veröffentlichung einer
Reihe limitierter, handgefertigter 7-Zoll-Singles bekannt.

B-movie junkies, gather round and prepare yourselves for what could only be described as a cinematic speedball. Take a combined hit of two of the most potent strains of toxic cinema, dress it up in ritualistic robes and make it dance to the beat of a stoned, motoric, country commune soundtrack. Like an exploito double bill where both films merge into a single feature, this directorial debut by an ex-Roger Corman protege and future Russ Meyer art director (another heady cocktail) is the product of one writing duo's fleeting time in the driving seat as the moviedrome marathon approached its dwindling finish line.

Werewolves On Wheels emerged in 1971 in a climate where the B-movie genre of the previous two decades began to make way for the early glimpses of imported slasher films and video nasties. Entirely out of popular context in 1971, the soundtrack music of Don Gere would perhaps reveal him as the most versatile actor involved in the whole production. Until this point, Don Gere had been a pop folk songwriter and a country music devotee, but while riding with the werewolves, Don Gere became a disjointed psych rock stoner making ritualistic commune country with more coincidentally in common with Germany's emerging Krautrock scene or the more localised stoner psych of Skip Spence (whose radically ahead of its time LP OAR was recognised by Columbia Records as their lowest selling record in the company's history). Imagine guitarist Sandy Bull jamming with Munich's Amon Duul 1 or some Swedish prog outfits like Trad, Gras och Stenar or a sedated Kebnekaise. In comparison to the Curb/Allan scores, for films like Wild Angels, Devil's Angels, Thunder Alley, and Born Losers (often released on Curb's own Sidewalk or Tower records), the new music made by Don Gere, only three years down the line, sounds like it's from an entirely different generation...

Tradition and experimentation are two familiar
territories that C'mon Tigre, a duo who find
their identity by working with musicians from
all over the world, can balance between very
well. As they did for their debut album (2014),
they have put together a multicolored collective
for their second record 'Racines', out on
February 15, 2019 for BDC/K7.
The title is a French word that means "roots",
referring to the musical roots in which C'mon
Tigre's feet, head and heart are immersed, and
from which their contaminated tracks sprout to
create unusual and original sound environments. In their new album the sounds of the
Mediterranean - the sea of their land -
intersect, intertwine and overlap with a
kaleidoscope of other sounds and a new
approach based - they explain - "on the type of
work we had done when we rearranged the first
album for live shows, by emphasizing the
synthetic part of our tracks". This time around
they did it from the very beginning: "The
composition of the pieces immediately included
the use of machines and synthesizers as a
basis for acoustic instruments. The goal was to
reprocess the terrain of Mediterranean
influences that was undoubtedly our starting
point".
Imagine a work in progress where bass and
guitars interact with woodwind, synths, percussions, vibraphones, dipping the listener into a
sensual and hypnotic musical journey. Sailing
from the Mediterranean basin and being guided
by the fascination for Africa and the Middle
East, C'mon Tigre give rise to a personal
language, made up of mixtures with jazz,
afrojazz, the rhythmics of hip hop, funk, 70s
disco. All without ever confining their songs to
one style, but pushing the exploration as much
as possible, into a dimension that every journey
worthy of this name should encompass. "With
the musicians we work with the exchange and
experimentation continue till the end, the
songs can take different directions at any time'.
The result is a mixed, cosmopolitan record,
which escapes from any label for the affirmation of a free attitude. The attitude that led
C'mon Tigre to seek a connection with dancefloor culture, even if considered only as an
evocation to revisit in an absolutely personal
way
