Vintage Pleasure Boutique once again dives deep into the vast catalogue of super-productions by Roberto Zanetti, better known as Robyx and Savage. This time, the journey takes us back to 1984, unearthing a true gem created at the suggestion of Marco Bresciani, Italian DJ and producer, and the same creative force involved with Radiorama. Zanetti delivered flawlessly. He transformed the elegant, high-grade British synth-pop original by OMD into a first-class Italo disco weapon, infused with that unmistakable sweet, melodic touch and fat kick that blended perfectly in clubs alongside genre-defining tracks of the era. “Souvenir” by Saxophone quickly became a classic, a staple of the sound and a cornerstone in countless old-school DJ record bags.

Today, original copies are scarce, highly sought after, and often prohibitively expensive on the secondary market. This reissue is both a tribute to long-time fans of the record and a nod to devotees of Robyx’s unmistakable sound. The vinyl also features a special remix of “Souvenir”, sonically aligned with Savage classics such as “Radio,” “Fugitive,” “Only You,” and “Don’t Cry Tonight.”

A true feast for lovers of this timeless Italo disco aesthetic, equal parts nostalgia, elegance and dancefloor power.

Double Je is Hypnotique’s third release on Bordello A Parigi. Following the successes of La Pénombre and Solitude, the trio of Sergio Mesa (IAMNOTAROBOT), David and Maia Jornet have reconvened for a smouldering three tracker. Vocals scale soaring synthlines in the title piece. Melodies dip and swoop like birds in flight. After the ground-breaking release of 1990's "Love's Secret Domain" album, Coil were not dormant; the main project was "Backwards", which was started in 1992, updated considerably between 1993 and 1995, and transferred in 1996 to New Orleans, where it was finished in the magic of the Nothing studios of Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The album saw the fruition of Jhonn Balance's recent vocal coaching, producing haunting, passionate vocals, while reaching new heights. 23 years after its initiation, these tracks have been beautifully preserved by Danny Hyde and are finally available in highest quality audio. Differing substantially from the later, remixed incarnation, "The New Backwards" (2008), "Backwards" contains the original versions of Coil's much-loved tracks; 'A Cold Cell' and 'Fire Of The Mind', which have appeared on various compilations over the years, and are now presented as originally intended. his album is the essential bridge between "LSD" and the later "Musick To Play In The Dark" series. It is an essential conduit, to understand the journey that was taken. It was to be released... it should have been released... but because of issues with grey men it wasn't. It is now, so enjoy. "Firestarter" von The Prodigy, erschienen 1996, markiert einen Wendepunkt in der popkulturellen Wahrnehmung elektronischer Musik. Hiver completes a trilogy of EPs on Gudu with ‘Blue Hell’, another transmission of space-age machine funk from a duo who are truly shaping their own soundworld.

If you’ve followed Hiver, you should know the deal by now: they’ve spent the last decade honing a sound that draws heavily from dance music history – namely the starry-eyed synthesizer funk of classic techno and electro – that drips in colour and emotion without ever feeling retrograde. ‘Blue Hell’ is their third EP for Gudu, and maybe their most accomplished yet.

In Hiver’s words, “this EP was shaped by a mix of late night club energy and the more introspective, melodic ideas we’ve been exploring in the past years. A big part of it also comes from the tension between how people connect today. This constant, hyper-connected flow of networks, media, and online exchanges and our own way of creating music, which is very physical and personal. We’re always bouncing ideas through messages and files, but the real magic still happens when we meet in the studio, face to face. That contrast between digital connection and human presence became a sort of hidden theme behind the EP.”

“With Blue Hell, our third chapter on Gudu, we wanted to capture a moment of clarity, something direct yet still drifting. In a way, this release completes the excursion we began with the first two records: three points that trace the contours of the sounds we’re drawn to. Each track feels like a fragment of that journey, grounded in rhythm but always leaning toward depth and escape.”

Die französisch-afrikanische Künstlerin Amy Gadiaga (AH-mee GAH-dee-ah-gah) ist eine in London lebende Bassistin, Sängerin und Komponistin. Ihre Debüt-EP "All Black Everything" hatte eine wichtige neue Stimme in der Londoner Jazzszene angekündigt. Mit ihrem neuen Projekt "BabyGoated" macht Gadiaga einen mutigen Schritt in Richtung Farbe und Selbstbewusstsein. Sie folgt ihrem Instinkt, über den Jazz hinaus zu expandieren und Musik zu machen, die sich weitläufig, grenzenlos und ihren Wurzeln treu anfühlt. "BabyGoated fasst zusammen, wer ich bin", erklärt Gadiaga. "Sowohl verletzlich (Baby) als auch mutig (Goated). Es ist niedlich und liebenswert, aber auch ein bisschen arrogant." Trippy Journey presents Night Club EP the next chapter in the cosmic saga of Dollar the cat. Continuing his interstellar quest for sound, Dollar now finds himself drifting into the neon haze of a galactic nightclub, where the spirit of the 2000s meets futuristic frequencies.

A Side 'Night Club' fuses trippy tech energy with a garage-style bassline, acid-infused details, and a hypnotic cut built for deep late-night floors. The release also includes a huge remix from Liquid Earth, an artist who needs little introduction. His interpretation elevates the original with driving momentum, injects high-octane energy and experimental textures, pushing the original into new cosmic trip.

B Side 'Grand Hotel' delivers a darker minimal house mood a tight and built around classic synth tones that echo the essence of Trippy Cat’s sound. The EP is completed by a remix from Lisbon-based Nebulaee, who transforms it into a raw, atmospheric trip filled with experimental elements and deep textures.

Lucas Santtana’s tenth album celebrates the vitality and musicality of the Romance languages.
The heir to Brazilian tropicalism, Santtana marks 25 years of his career with Brasiliano, a true collective celebration that brings together prestigious collaborators: Gilberto Gil, Oxmo Puccino, Flavia Coelho, Piers Faccini, Chico César, Paralamas do Sucesso, Cocanha, Dimartino, Karyna Gomes, Tainara Takua, Rachel Reis and Maria Lado.
Sung in eight different languages, Brasiliano is both an ode to linguistic diversity and a testament to its symbolic power. Carried by luminous and layered arrangements where voices intertwine like a polyphonic conversation, the album treats language as a musical instrument in its own right, but also as a political tool. Santtana questions cultural heritage, identity, colonial memory, and the possibility of a shared language. With his singular approach—blending popular rhythms, contemporary soundscapes and vibrant melodies—he celebrates the love and exchange embodied in Romance languages, where music becomes fertile ground for encounters and reinvention.

The first lady of MoFunk Records is also considered by many to be one of the queens of modern funk music. Her latest, “Womp In My Spirit,” fuses a wide range of styles within its ten tracks and shows the true versatility of funk music. On one end, the deep g-funk bounce of songs like “Womp In My Spirit” & “However You Are” show you Moniquea's west coast roots clearly, while uptempo boogie bangers like “Get It Together” sit in the lane that MoFunk is best known for. Tracks like “Red Light” go in a more dancey direction, welcoming the sleekness of house music to mingle with g-funk whistles and rubbery synth bass, a track that recently caught the ear of Soul Clap and was remixed by them on their recent “Soul Clap vs. MoFunk” EP. The majority of production on the album was handled by MoFunk head honcho XL Middleton.

After their recent LP Mirages (Kraak Records, 2025) with French turntablist Guilhem’All, the group continues to explore collaborations with artists and instruments from diverse musical traditions. Building on decades of uncompromising acoustic exploration, Razen delves deeper into their practice with five improvisational pieces that unfold slowly in time and space. The duo’s radical core - Brecht Ameel and Kim Delcour - finds in Van der Harst a longtime kindred spirit, united by the impact of sound, intonation, and the sheer joy of playing.

To be released on April 24 via VIERNULVIER Records, the artwork for Stained Glass Starling was created by American visual artist Robert Beatty (Oneohtrix Point Never, Christina Vantzou, The Weeknd, Tame Impala). The physical release comes with a 16-page booklet including artwork and an interview.

A long-standing artistic kinship lies at the heart of this project, with first encounters dating back to the early 2000s in Belgian musical improv theatre. Van der Harst’s lifelong experience in improvised music and music theatre, spanning back to the 1980s, combined with a vast arsenal of rare and historical instruments, opens new tonal territories within the Razen universe.

These explorations are not incidental: his family roots in the former Dutch East Indies — through his great-grandfather — provide a quiet backdrop to his enduring affinity for Asian musical traditions. Instruments such as erhu, Javanese kacapi, and others introduce timbres
that bring the music its most pronounced Asian inflections to date.

Yet despite this shift in colour, the underlying ethos remains unmistakably Razen. Working from sound rather than form, the ensemble approaches music as painters approach a canvas: adding layers, contrasts and shades with care. There is no soloist’s ego here; all voices are equal, echoing principles found in gamelan traditions.

Over the decades, Razen and Dick Van der Harst have crossed paths repeatedly, notably through cult theatre productions by Belgian theatre maker Eric De Volder, including Zwarte vogels in de bomen (2002) and Huis der Verborgen Muziekjes I–II (2000–2006). Recording an albumtogether had long been a shared aspiration — a wish that crystallised after a 2024 concert at Concertzaal Miry in Ghent, part of the Ruiskamer series by VIERNULVIER Art Centre.

Das 2022er Album "nichts" der Aachener Post-Hardcore Band FJORT als limitierte Purple Colored Vinyl LP. "nicht" ist ein 50-minütiges Erlebnis. "nichts" gewinnt dem dichten Sound der Band, der fließend zwischen allen Spielarten von Hardcore und Postrock wandelt, zahlreiche neue Facetten ab. Die Täler sind tiefer denn je, in den Höhen ist kaum Luft zu atmen. Die Atmosphäre fühlt sich nahezu greifbar an. Lyrisch gaben sich FJORT seit jeher kryptisch und bleiben dieser Linie treu werden auf "nichts" jedoch auch konkret wie selten zuvor. Vielleicht, weil Zeiten wie diese mehr denn je nach Schonungslosigkeit lechtzen. Vielleicht auch, weil eine Art Galgenhumor seinen Weg auf das Album gefunden hat, der mit dem absoluten Ernst gekonnt bricht. Abwechslungsreicher und schlichtweg größer klang diese Band noch nie.
