The ever masterful London based DJ/Producer Shy One is back with a new 5 track EP titled From The Floor To The Booth. The "Unusual suspect" EP is an exhibit of crafty club-oriented productions that emerged from ardb's versatile music persona.
The smooth nostalgic harmonies of the pads on "Every other day" hit as an instant classic. The name together with the repetitive sequence of the main lead both suggest the groundhog day-like phenomena we can all relate to in these pandemic times where every day feels exactly the same.

Punchy acoustic toms and jazzy ride patterns are the EP's recurrent themes and are blended very smoothly with breakbeats and robotic arps on "Reverdie".

The bassline on "Unusual suspect" is a serious tension builder that is being deconstructed into an unexpected explosive free jazz drum solo on the main breakdown making it a real weapon that you will want to carry in your bag.

Dusky are back with their blistering rework of JT Company’s 1990 release ‘Don’t Deal With Us’. Retaining the infectious piano line of the original Dusky beef up this Italo House classic with their infamous basslines and driving percussion, resulting in a peak summertime anthem.

For the third release label decided to spoil you with a four-track record from various artists that can trigger caustic dreams.

Four tracks of juicy, cheeky breakbeat action with an underlying hint of skippy two-step synchopation going on, overlaid with elements from the more musical end of house and the most dancefloor-slanted side of P-funk. 'Giftig', with its Bollywood string flourishes, is the most exotic beast among the pack, while 'Cllosing Time' boasts searing 80s disco stabs and some neat tickling of the Hammond very much in jazz funk style. That said, it's all action across all four tunes, so get stuck in.

Well this one is fun. And fun, just about, in a good way, rather than stupid silly un-cool and uncouth fun. Kolter's Breakarama EP kicks off with the title track which makes use of the melodic motif from TV's much loved animation Futurama. It is sure to get some super reactions in the club with its playfulness and charm. 'Ghost In The Breaks' is more serious, with a slick and futuristic feeling breaks vibe then 'Get Out James!' is another laugh that makes use of the iconic riff from James Bond over some sleazy and dark UKG. 'Horny Breakdancers' is an airy, uplifting one to close.

"Way back in the 1990s, Mark Hand, Neil Iceton & Jez Nicholl channelled their love of sci-fi-fired Motor City techno into a string of inspired releases under the alias Cubic Space Collective.

After reuniting for a memorable machine jam at Freerotation festival in 2016, Hand & Iceton headed back into the studio for a one-off session and recorded 'Holiday in Beta Centauri', a musical love letter to Mad Mike and the rest of Detroit's most militant futurist techno crew.

Sending us surging skywards via 'Binary System', where lilting lead lines, fizzing electronics and enveloping chords dance atop a snappy, cymbal-heavy drum machine rhythm, before 'Arps in Hyperspace' sees them step things up a notch via layered waves of synths, sparkling melodies and a driving, hyper-speed groove.

The North-East-based twosome then attempt to warm us to the core in the shape of 'Rigil': restless organ stabs, undulating Michigan bass, alien electronics, psychedelic acid lines and Galaxy 2 Galaxy style chords catching the ear. Bringing us gently back down to earth, they complete their deep space mission with 'Beyond The Nebula (Holiday in Beta Centauri)', a bustling electro number full of stabbing analogue bass, star-burst electronics, meditative ambient chords that shimmer full of night-sky melodies.

A fine return to action for this Teesside UR-loving techno twosome... 3,167 miles away in Detroit, their achievement will be noted."

We are proud to present a hidden gem producer from Los Angeles, California scene. A talent that raises his hand in a forceful way with this release. Orlando Valencia aka Volen who has brought his highly energetic, raw and intergalactic sounds to the label and for the first time releasing his music on wax. Volen explores the intersection between house, breaks, techno and electro with a real futuristic and mature sound, all the tracks are very attached to the ideology of the label, without a doubt a release that will make a lot of noise on our favorite planet called earth.

Inspired by electro, techno and trance, Hess Publica emerges as a sub label for Lyon based Pomme Sanguine. The project makes balance with the introspective and emotional sounds featured by the latter since 2019. Hess Publica’s first vinyl features sweet shots of acid breaks, old school techno, electro beats and classic codes of 90’s trance music, together with new school textures and samples. It is the product of 5 artists coming from interconnected European scenes with Lyon as their confluence.

With such a collaboration heavy project in the "Yet Another Kito Jempere Album" announced it is no surprise that this following remixes pack comes laden with familiar friends'n'family, plus additional support.

Taking the ambient meets acappella paene Your Ghost In Me and creating one of his on-point dance floor dramas, Lipelis (Animals Dancing / LIES), utilising Hard Ton's classic 'US House' vocal delivery to create a perfect "big room" anthem.

It's time to get to know Club Magnus, a new label that launches with Moonlight 001, a various artist collection that brings together some fresh contemporary talents across three forward thinking cuts. Jay Tripwire opens up with his scintillating tech house sounds embellished with all the usual acid and afemtparty freakiness. Magnus Asberg then keeps you on your toes with his nimble drum work and the cyborg electro funk of 'Sunset' (vs Sound Of The Suburbs) while Microman closes with the more dark, involving and intense techno convulsions of 'Inga Aviseringar'.

“Quivering in Time” is the debut album by DJ and producer Eris Drew on T4T LUV NRG, the label she runs with partner Octo Octa. In 2020, after the release of Trans Love Vibration (NAIVE, 2018) and Transcendental Access Point (Interdimensional Transmissions, 2020), Eris moved from her hometown of Chicago to rural New Hampshire and recorded the nine beautiful songs featured here. Her first album feels something like her DJ sets, with stacked layers of vinyl samples and turntable manipulations serving as a fast-moving foundation for hand-played keyboard riffs, walls of percussion and sampled, scratched and strummed guitar tones. On each song for the album Eris expresses the anxiety and hope of her present. She wrote, recorded, and mixed the album as she stared into the forest through her studio window, collapsing present and past into future, her memories and body literally quivering in time.

The songs are cast with Eris’s experiences and intentions. The plucky progressive Loving Clav is in the form of an evocation (“good times come to me now....”), while the tracks Time to Move Close and Show U Love express Eris’s longing for togetherness. The hardcore Pick ‘Em Up (“...and it might be a different story”) and organ-heavy Ride Free are funky odes to psychedelics, hard dancing and the subjectivity of real lived experience. The twinkling house of Howling Wind and the tempo-shifting bop of Sensation capture the mystery of the forest cabin where Eris spent most of the last 15 months. Two booming hip house dubs round out the album, Baby and Quivering in Time, each an itchy track about hope and personal resilience. As with her prior work, Eris’s approach to music making is unique and genre-dissolving. Ultimately, her special sound is a metaphor for her main message, which is that every person deserves to be themself.

In a world characterised by the mundane, novelty is an increasingly hard-pressed experience to find. But somehow, French DJ/producer Karaba seems to know exactly how to balance the precipitous contest between technicality and innovation.

For the 16th release on Haŵs, Karaba writes a love letter to 90s tech house and the underground Parisian scene from his home town in Lille. Sewing together intricate synths, trippy breaks and rumbling tech house loops into an abstract tapestry, the final result is a collection of dancefloor curveballs that somehow, with all the idiosyncrasies, make total sense.

'Belly Pad’ is a sharp opener, with a never-ending spiral of kaleidoscopic grooves and instinctively plaited synths. ‘Transform’ has all the charm of a delightfully subterranean level in an old-school video game, positioning rebellious acid lines into a playful, malevolent swing. On the B-side, ‘Digital Mystery’ slips into woozy breakbeat and dark psychedelia that bubbles up through a deliciously addictive bassline and melodies that coil back into itself. To close, ‘Club Simulator’ marks itself as a thoughtful statement on the paradox of creative flow; it’s self-aware but allows itself to get lost in a sky-high trip of lofty synths and rhythms, before touching back down safely to the ground.

The ride might at times feel like the driver’s lost control – but in reality they know exactly what they’re doing to push the edge of the thrill just at the right moments.

Regardless of where you’re from, it’s where you at. These wise words are some that the Watch Patrol wants you to remember as we all trying to find and stay on our path..

These wise words start off the A side and prepare us for a funky and synth fueled, cow bell-ing journey.

Next we head into Trial & Error, a bouncing tech which has already been proven to bring some big energy on the dance floor.

The B side contains the breaks you’ve been waiting for. Two big tunes that have been deliciously dialed in to spread groove and funk on the dancefloors. Trance, breaks, arpeggios, chopped up vocals, and special effects that will get you to keep this one in the bag at all times.

“F. Free & H. Hand take control of HOTONES001, with a reissue of a not just rare but colossally fabled record that only ever made it to test press in 1995. Ten copies were produced of this three-track excursion into the analogue heavy echelons of a deranged technosphere.

‘Headwash’ shudders through your body like electricity, off-kilter bleeps miraculously balancing the composition, while a menacing bassline inflates your lower body, and some. ‘After All’ drops the pace, employing the iconic Ensoniq DP-4 to create moist, meandering patterns that epitomise the 90s hedonistic German subculture in which the record was developed. The record’s finale, ‘J.S.B #2’ is the most ruckus cut of the lot, playing with heavy leads, synesthesia inducing scenes of strobe lights are inevitable - pair the two, and you have outright carnage.

This is music for smoked out, fast and long raves. Do not sleep.”

Vol. 4 of Pandemix Live Jams is kicking of with „Tides“, a broken beat homage to the early 90s. Communications, to guitar infused Disco, Soul and 80s Boogie’s big singalong basslines are present. B2 „noqqiN“ is somewhat of a bonus track, as it was not part of the original series of Move D’s Pandemix Live Jams. It rounds off this colorful and hard to categorize 12“ with a downtempo Electronic Funk stomper. Overall, Pandemix Live Jams Vol. 4 is a journey into more Lefteld material. The Common factor
is David’s unique signature sound dened by a softer and more melancholic, yet funky, psychedelic and elegant approach to music which he draws from all kinds of personal inuences and his long DJ life.

Perspective is back with a fresh VA featuring Toke, Midge Thompson, Mculo and Bassam.


The A1 kicks things off nicely with Tbilisi based artist Toke, followed by Leeds' Midge Thompson who takes things a little deeper but still with plenty of energy.


The flip welcomes Mculo with a wigged out acid number that has plenty of twists and turns. Bassam shares the B side which rounds off the record nicely with a quality vocoder laced 4x4 and breakbeat hybrid.

The ever reliable Constant Sound is back this week, with Burnski's imprint serving up a full LP release by the ascendant Leeds DJ/producer Matthew Farrow aka Kepler. A solid selection of retro techno cuts are featured on Freedom Mills, and all for maximum dance floor impact. From the bleep techno euphoria of 'Fold', or the classic '90s house motifs of "Contact" to the dusty rolling beats of 'Professor Pace' and the sunset breaks of "Era" - they are all sure to bang the party. Tip!

The Exit Planet Earth series continues with the first ever collaboration between two undisputed electro-funk heavyweights Egyptian Lover & Soul Clap. Egypt knows how to rock the TR 808 like no other and has been a true player on the LA electro scene since 1984. While Soul Clap have forged their unique E-Funk sound coming out of New York City as part of the Crew Love collective. The resulting track 'Hai Karate' is a slice of superbly produced classic electro designed to rattle bass bins from Miami to Mars.
Following form in classic electro directions, Futurenauts present their debut track 'We are the Futurenauts' that brings a slower based groove reminiscent of 'A Love from Outer Space' into the cosmos and delivers a powerful message to humanity. The flip sees a welcome return to 20/20 Vision from the Maltese magician Sound Synthesis who continues the vocoded vocals but adds a state-of-the-art assault on the senses with a slamming track aimed firmly at the discerning dancefloor. EPE 08 is finished off in fine style by Mick Wilson & August Artier with 'Akira's Cry', which fuses a deep house bassline and chords with tight break beat programming and powerful lead strings.

The notorious Glasgow producer, Fear-E is back on Hilltown Disco, after originally appearing on the Dundee imprint in 2019, this time with 4 tracks of techno-infused electro, plus a dance-floor geared remix on the A-side from one of the original Hilltown Disco collectives, J Wax. Fear-E runs wild, broadcasting apocalyptical electro sounds, creating a seriously heavy-duty record to soundtrack the end of society in worlds not too dissimilar to earth. Punchy kicks, disturbing vocals from the mystical Mike James, and venomous sirens create a fresh take on the sound. No nonsense electro. It's all in the game yo!

Arriving some five years after the original 12" created a dance-floor paradigm shift, Roy Of The Ravers returns to Emotinium with an EP of updated retakes, complete with the previously unheard original demo mix in all its twenty minute glory. Emotinium first appeared on the '2 Late 4 Love' cassette in 2015, and caused a storm as part of a 4 track EP with the same name a year later. The track was played as a festival opener by the likes of Bicep and in Sameheads' Berlin basement parties - becoming a must-have that continues as today's second-hand prices testify.

A sense that the dreamy electro meets 303 melodics of the original could be brought up to (breaks) speed held in Roy's mind since creation, so Rave '22 is presented for hearts, minds and feet as we step(pers) out into an updated world. Cut, looped, and reformed, a braindance for millenniums.

This is accompanied by an Ambient Dub for the afters. Highlighting the TB-303's finest again, Roy's garden of dreams flies high, as artificial intelligence finally becomes reality. To close, the long-form Demo awaits. One for completists maybe but in letting the full 20 minutes play you can be drawn in or let go and drift as Tadao Kikumoto's masterwork is presented with respect. Arigato!

Tense, at times eerie Sci Fi Electro from Melbourne's Tx on his Debut EP. Being fascinated with the exploration of space and new landscapes, he dedicates the second Save The Books release to the Cassini research mission around Saturn and her moons. Unsuccessful scans for life, the final descent of the probe and an imagined journey through the warm salt water sea under the ice surface of the moon Enceladus are the themes of the three tunes and we can feel it. The enigmatic Benson Streaker returns to Canapé this summer with a sweltering four-track 12”: ‘Ulterior Guidance’.

Transcending the woozy microcosm of breakbeat and electronica established on his label debut CNP015 - ‘The Body / Something’s Not Right’, CNP020 sees Streaker push his sound into opulent technicolour.

Amid a wash of psychedelic hues, A1 (’Strange Operator’) beckons with an irresistibly saturated tech-house skip. Seatbelts are advised, as Benson’s heart-throb 4x4 propels us to a strange, yet loving, astral plane.

A2 illustrates a co-existence of sophistication and minimalism rarely found in post-millennial house music; an otherworldly vocal (courtesy of Ursula Rucker) is glued effortlessly with Streaker’s understated percussion, on the blissful 7-minute title track.

On the flip side, ‘Dimension’ (B1) thrusts us into a Balearic haze of raves-gone-by. Glimpses of early acid house and trance permeate this shimmering and uplifting club-pumper, before our cosmic journey concludes with the elegant and soulful ‘It’s Yours’ (B2). Acting as a reminder of our Earthly genesis, shades of quintessential minimal house and UK garage tastefully underpin this 00’s-inspired stomper.

Kommuna is back with the “Silent Uproar” EP featuring James Andrew with a special feel-good track that sets a positive dancefloor vibe through dreamy breaky rhythms. Driahn’s “Recreate” provides elegant breaks for what can be the perfect track for the obscure late hours.
The B-Side of the record is an energy blast with Driahn’s “Phazed & Confused” infectious groove bringing damage to the dancefloor and Pekkuliar’s ghetto-tech inspired track closing this versatile EP in an unexpected way.

Electro Spanish label Mars Frequency Records celebrates 10 years of life with a limited edition vinyl with new tracks from previously released artists: Mike Ash (United Kingdom), Robert Cosmic (Spain), Downrocks (Spain), Enigmatic Astronaut (Spain) and Fleck Esc (Japan).

The Maltese machine funk specialist himself Keith Farrugia is back once more with yet more of his impeccable electro business as Sound Synthesis. This time the prolific producer is shoring up on Burnski's Infiltrate label with four cool and deadly cuts which build on his previous drops for 20:20 Vision, Furthur Electronix, Orbital Mechanics and more besides. From the nervy sci-fi flex of 'Motor Space Maps' to the playful fun n' games of 'Back In Time', Farrugia knows exactly what he's doing within the electro blueprint, and his tracks are reliably punchy warm - a true master at work.

Seventh candy delivery from Bardouin Music with an atmospheric and euphorythmic EP by Lyon-based producer Hyas. This new chapter presents a dreamy and acid story with 5 vault gems - going through electro, speed garage and breakbeat with cloud-grazing synthesizers and echoing effects in the ocean’s depths. Cosmic tech house wizard SNAD officially kicks off a brand new label from the stables of For Those That Knoe. Featuring eight tracks of chi-town swagger and a sprinkle of star dust, the Intergalactic Gambler rockets into a solar system near you wielding the likes of 'Juiced', with its spacious production and neatly sassy groove, the linear paths of 'The Big Sleep' and the oozing keys of 'Guiding Light'.

Dutch pioneer Sp@sms returns to U-TRAX with 'From A 20th Century Box' LP, backed with remixes from Bloody Mary and Cosmic Force

On 'From the 20th Century Box' Arno Peeters, aka Sp@sms, returns to U-TRAX with his debut full-length album. Showcasing years of sonic exploration stemming from his time in various groups including Random XS and Voltage Control amongst others, the LP also draws from his experience studying and teaching music at the Centre for Electronic Music as well as his work in project-based sound design.

Filled to the brim with pulsating arpeggios, crunchy drums and dark, moody atmospheres, the LP is marked by a retro yet timeless feel. Inbetween its snaking, squelchy synth lines and old school electro grooves Sp@sms masterfully incorporates playful textures and elements from found recordings and unused projects, resulting in a vastly versatile and experimental album fusing all things techno, acid and EBM.

An expert lesson in sound design and composition taught by one of the Netherlands' most trusted and experienced artists, the LP also contains remixes from Dame Music's Bloody Mary and Utrecht electro stalwart Cosmic Force and arrives via heavyweight, colored double vinyl, digital, CD and cassette mediums.

As is typical for a U-TRAX release, each physical version has its own set of tracks. The vinyl and CD versions also come with a in-depth interview with Arno Peeters, as well as extensive background notes for each track (on the album's inner sleeves and a 24 page booklet, respectively).

Up next for the mental health charity label are 4 tracks dedicated to Mind. The VA pays homage to early 2000s nostalgia - with two Garage/Breaks cuts from Harry Wills & Rob Amboule respectively. The two of them alongside Alec Falconer make up 'Phone Traxx', a highly-regarded UKG outfit. Up first is '6 for 5 and feeling fresh', a track that's already been doing the rounds on dancefloors - idyllic for that peak-time club setting. Following that on the A2 is 'Mindright', which contrasts a noteworthy alternative - something you could expect any time, any place, anywhere. On the flip, is a moody remix from Rob - with a bassline that'll wobble any wall in the country. And last but not least, 'Harry's toasty mix', which more than aptly wraps up a release which is arguably the label's best yet. One not to miss.

Planet Uthboar is a conceptual album that takes the listener on a journey to the fictive planet of Uthboar, where two heroes are on a quest to stop the supervillain Art from exterminating every living being on the planet. The album is inspired by old comics and 70’s sci-fi animation movies, so think of a kind of H.G. Wells dark sci-fi style mixed with lofi house and electro - all recorded straight to an old dusty cassette recorder!
