Tunisia based Jihed Monser aka HearThug swaggers aboard Sex Tapes From Mars for the wax-only label’s fourth release; a robotic excursion into gritty, tongue in cheek vocoder, bolstering acid lines and vintage pad swoons.

Heading straight for the dancefloor, it opens with “Computerized Souls”, going notably heavy on the drums and low-end, with acid madness at the forefront and alien sounding melodies enabling the eeriness.

“Generation Of Robots”, is flooded with sci-fi melodies, retro B-boy references and rinsed-out,16-bit, bouncing unfettered tones.

On the flip, “Buzz! Look An Alien (Oh No - No Mix)” neatly fits either the warm up or early hours, filling the low-key, understated spaces it reaches with plenty of esoteric colour and character.

Hot release alert!!! WRECKS041 is a sampler of Luca Lozano's recent 'Man of Science' album. Previously only available on compact disc the EP now puts together four of the most successful and sought-after tracks on wax. The title track, 'Man Of Science' opens with sampled words from astrophysicist and planetry scientist Neil Degrasse Tyson and hints at the overarching theme of the original album. Tracks like 'Prognosis' and 'Make Peace' show off Lozano's flair and interest in early Progressive House and Tribal Techno, with addictive grooves and unique collages of familiar but new sonic elements that hark back to dance music's history. The result is, as usual with Lozano's work, defiant of genres and difficult to pigeon hole but always irresistably tasty

Klasse Wrecks' first release of 2023 comes storming out of the gate, hot on the tail of Mr. Ho's previous album and his collaborative 'Eu-Li' EP with Mogwaa. 'Angel Number 909' is a collection of three versions of one track, the over-riding element in the EP is an incessant and catchy acidic synthline that bounds across racketing breakbeats and galloping basslines. Sleaford Mods have covered The Pet Shop Boys" iconic West End Girls, with proceeds from the single going to charity Shelter. If the original is a sophisticated exposé of the 80s Britain, the duo have skilfully distressed the shimmering classic with sharp synths and scuffed-up vocals to mirror our own dysfunctional days. Not only did the Nottingham duo"s West End Girls meet with Neil Tenant and Chris Lowe"s personal approval, but the pair were inspired to create a remix which features as a B-side.

Hermione FRANK aka rRoxymore has spent the past decade cherry picking the labels she works with whilst building up a totally unique signature sound - DBA, Timedance and recently Ideophone.

After a debut outing on International Black last year with his best friend Mallard, LT graduates onto Rhythm Section INTL with a stunning debut solo effort: FOREST FLOOR.Aged just 20 years old, Lewis Taylor aka LT is another prodigal talent from the north of England, whose association with Rhythm Section goes back to his school days. A fan of the label from an early age, Lewis regularly made pilgrimages to the pool hall as soon as he was old enough to do so. It was these visits with his old school friend Mallard (who had recently moved down to London from Derbyshire to study music) which proved to be a formative influence, prompting him to try his hand at production...It turned out he was quite the natural, with his second ever effort as an 18 year old making it onto this very EP. Sitting somewhere between electro, house and techno with a healthy dose of breaks - LT constructs complex arrangements with as much of a nod to the retro summer of love stylings of Lone as to the new age bounce of the Pender Street Steppers. The piano house stabs of 'Untitled (Chesney)' reverberate around chopped breaks and screaming samples, anchored down by bouncy organ bass and FM lead synth which really begs the question: 'How did LT develop such a rich lexicon of club culture references in such a short time' We'd be tempted to believe it was just pure luck, if this mastery of rave aesthetics wasn't repeated throughout the EP...
Mesosphere fizzes with arpeggiated energy before giving way to a magnificent yet subtle drop that will serve festival main stages as well as it will back room clubs. Before the EP is over, LT has one more trick up his sleeve in Forest Floor - the titular track which is the musical equivalent of watching the sun rise through a misty glade after a night spent alone in the wilderness. With this gentle touch, LT proves he's more than another kid on Ableton making bangers - he has breadth, incredible musicality and a rare ability to transcript sceneries into sounds. Finishing with 'North Circular' possibly a reference to the free Parties on the London Orbital or merely just a coincidence you decide.
We couldn't be happier to welcome LT onto the RS INTL roster in what feels like a fulfilment of destiny. It's such a great honour to have nurtured and now introduce the next generation via the Rhythm Section platform.

Exit Planet Earth continues its exploration of the world of electro universe with an expansive, extended six track EP, featuring The Advent x Zein Ferreira, DeFeKT, London Modular Alliance, Konertymi and Zobol. The Advent, whose weekly Gardening Club residency in the mid-90s helped to drag electro out of the realms of the retro and back into the future, team up with Zein Ferreira for a Kraftwerk-on-speed extended mix of 'CarpeDiem', before London Modular Alliance's more moderately paced but still squiggle and bleep laced 'Lump of Coal' plus a 'beats' breakdown for the DJs. The B-side brings us the acid-powered 'Pulssi' by Konerytmi, the bouncy, breakdance-friendly 'Radar' by DeFeKT, and the relatively pure, optimistic sonics of Zobol's 'Data Wars'. Thumbs up all round.

Beijing based Leele, Tokyo based S.O.N and Detroit transplant Camille has come together to give you something soothing from Adeen records. Their debut live studio album A Band Of Brothers is a nice warm welcome from the label that's known for house and techno. The late 70's early 80's Japanese fusion jazz influenced offering is split into two discs with one being all jazz, and disc two being remixed into breezy house tracks. Rather is an easy chilled out vibe or a night on the dancefloor, A Band Of Brother got you covered for all occasions.

The tracks are inspired by the artist's childhood memories of walks on green hills many years ago. While they are produced with different approaches, both from the digital and hardware world, they paint a personal picture of the artist's personality.

Picking up on the launch of Marie Montexier’s Paryìa label with a trippy EP by a.b.u.3.0.3., the second release comes from the Dublin based shooting star Small Crab.

The Skin & Blister founding member delivers three percussive breaky tracks that highlight a wide range of her musical influences. Combining smooth textures with tribal rhythms the ’Flowing with Honey’ EP perfectly rounds off with a bass heavy remix by London based producer Talik, who recently gained attention through highly acclaimed releases on 3024 and Intercept.

For their 18th vinyl release, Hard Fist welcomes Guadalajara-based producers Vongold and Fargo Devianti in the family, including an impressive remix by Jennifer Cardini and Damon Jee.

Dj, producers and performers, the Mexican duo releases collabs on Correspondant, Hard Fist, Rotten City, Her Majesty’s Ship and more. Vongold is all about low-tempo dark disco, anxious lyrics over bass lines and hundred vocal gems ; while Fargo Devianti is a magician mixing guitars, synthesizers, drums and voodoo percussion.

“Taste of Butter” is their first full EP together. Vongold’s haunted vocals stress Fargo Devianti hypnotic percussion. Together they create a psychedelic journey into mind landscapes with eclectic influences like avant-garde rock, post-punk, krautrock and darkwave sprinkled by psych folk eastern melodies and ritual percussions. This EP is probably the most rock and new-wave oriented ever released on Hard Fist.

To conclude, Jennifer Cardini and Damon Jee brought a powerful remix influenced by Detroit’s electro and breakbeat roots. Once mixed with the trippy sounds of the original version, it opens a fresh new door into the field of “dancefloor killer” music.

An echo through the ages, channelled and tuned by Young Marco. Feelings of tactile, loved-up naivety, transferred to musical waves of colour, rhythmic energy, and hallucinatory aural visions. This is ‘I’m Still Mellow’ and the psychedelic yin to its’ yang, reverse alternative version ‘Wollem Lits M’I’.

Both are imaginative 21st century takes on ‘Mellow’, a long-forgotten Amsterdam-born sub-genre of dance music that took the house template and re-imagined it for Dutch dancefloors in the early ‘90s.

Murcof"s first three albums are to be reissued on vinyl to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of his seminal debut album, Martes. Out of print for many years, these albums have been hugely influential in the worlds of minimal and ambient electronic music in their use of modern classical instrumentation, and are significant landmarks in the history of The Leaf Label. Each of the reissues is presented in a new gatefold sleeve featuring updated artwork, with Remembranza and Cosmos featuring fully remastered audio, and Cosmos including a previously unreleased bonus track.

This June, Sweely serves up Closer Energy, his much anticipated debut album on Butter Side Up with original artwork by Sophie Douala. It marks the label's first full length and is a fittingly standout musical statement from the cult French producer.

Sweely aka William Montana is a low key figure with a highly regarded sound. Since 2019, he has been turning out well crafted EPs on this label as well as the likes of Gene on Earth's Limousine Dream and Brawther's Negentropy. With every release he mines new ground, whether crafting silky deep house, speedy breakbeats or spaced out techno. As a scintillating live act, he has proven himself to be as creative and adaptable in the club as he is in the studio.

Closer Energy finds the artist elevate his craft once more. It's a vibrant and colourful record full of painterly chords and wiggling basslines. Smart found sounds and vocal snippets give each tune a character of its own. Flashes of 80s disco dazzle and perfect pop hooks make it fizz with an irresistibly playful charm from front to back.

It opens with melted neon synths and shimmering jazz hi hats, sci-fi effects and daubs of melody that immediately bend space and time. From there, 'Hello Goodbye' gets super playful, with busy melodies and electronic house funk. There is a Detroit feel to the cosmic house of 'Not Part Of It' and 'Keep On Rock'n' is a deep but crisp electro workout. 'Call Me Tonight' brings a real sense of fun to clipped house beats, 'Techy(la) Sunrise' is a lush update to a classic tech house sound, and 'When You're in Love' showcases Sweely's superbly tight drum programming with far-sighted chords that have you gazing off into the distance.

'MiniLook' is all squelchy bass and tripped out synths, 'Security (Get The Fuck Out)' ups the ante with a brightly coloured and sleazy electro vibe while 'Energy Bars' is run through with a subtle rush of euphoria that sweeps you off your feet. The feel-good vibes continue on the stylish glider that is 'Closer Energy', an electro tune so sublime and seductive it'll melt your soul, then 'Outro' brings you back to earth with some jazzy cosmic ambience.

Ritual Poison/Batrachian founder BufoBufo knows where the line is drawn and he walks it like a boss. On Dream Ticket's latest missile, the central tenets of rave coalesce across four broken-yet-beautiful tracks filled with cosmic jazz wisdom and ragged jungle euphoria. After two EPs on Pleasure Club, Johnny Hunter returns to the label with his first full length - Dub Is King LP. Fusing all of the styles he has become renowned for through his releases and DJ sets, this album see’s him incorporate dubby techno, spacey electro and UK garage flavours into one eclectic yet cohesive body of work.Created throughout the trials and tribulations of the last two years, Dub Is King LP is a message of optimism, unity and freedom, and is also a deep homage to Johnny's roots in soundsystem culture.

The second release on Lapse records welcomes UK Tech House mainstay Len Lewis, who’s extensive catalogue of club music stretches across the last few decades, along with newly appraised London based DJ and producer Mariiin. The split EP supports a four track selection of old and new head down club music touching different moods.

Len’s inserts lead on the A side with the carefully sampled Matrix acapella laid across “Morpheus”, a tweaking and dusted 2 step thrill, in keeping with the left leaning spooky tone of the first Lapse release and label sound. “Do U Want It” follows in similar ilk to the self professed Sinister tech house sounds previously ventured on the likes of early Swag and Poodle Records releases of the early 2000’s that became essential points of reflection for the genre’s progression since.

The B side spans a more contemporary 4x4 influenced thread of this style that circles closer to the outer rims of techno and acid. The Italian born producer joins the label with the “Snake Is Changing It’s Skin” and “Impasse” which continue fittingly to carve their signature sound, a style consistent in their early releases on the likes of BPR and EYA Records and across their DJ sets as Pleasure Club resident.

It's time for Clut004!! Clut Communication is back with the fourth release and this time we have one of the main characters of the label, Odracir. We have already “tasted” his music in previous releases but now Odracir marks his solo debut EP “Black Bullet” with four energetic cuts, influenced by house and electro sounds from the 90’s with spacey atmospheres and analog basslines.

Strip Steve, or the adventurous new chapter he has begun to write on Astropolis Records since 2020 with ‘La Cité des Étoiles’, remixed by the great Michael Mayer.

‘Terre Promise’ continues his unique trademark: smooth and inventive textures, vocals that caress and embrace you, percussive and contemporary rhythms with an immersive sound design and those catchy gimmicks he’s known for. By immersing us in his memories, Blutch opens the doors to the landscapes of his childhood and dreamed views, through a plural sound palette: UK dance music heritage (‘Cobalan’, ‘River’), contemplative tracks (‘Les Bois’, ‘Terre Promise’), contemporary IDM with pop contours (‘Poplar’, ‘Rosko’, ‘Eussa’), or crossovers with other instrumentalists (Mirabelle Gillis’ violins on ‘Choices’ and ‘Cobalan’, guitar and drums on ‘Phoenix’ or the piano on ‘Poplar’) and danceable odes (‘Floatin’, ‘Les Sables Blancs’ or ‘Remparts’ with Maxime Dangles).

A promising debut album, as atmospheric as it is frenetic. Driven by the desire to bring people together and reconnect with the earth, Blutch invites you on a deep and spiritual introspective journey, where the listener can easily imagine the producer intention. And if not, just attend the a/v live accompanied by the sublime visuals of motion designer Romain Navier for an electrifying experience, between coloured or abstract 3D and images of landscapes captured in Blutch’s North Brittany. A live show that has already enchanted Panoramas in Morlaix, Clujotronic in Romania with other dates to come (Astropolis, Paris, ...).

Full of emotions, this beautiful, sincere and intense album is enough to send Blutch to the top of the electronic music scene in France. The impressive list of collaborations and remixes around the album is proof of this, with major artists of the French electronic music scene such as Jennifer Cardini, Maxime Dangles, Lauer, Madben, Maud Geffray or Mézigue, emerging artists such as Malcolm (Global Warming Records), or from acoustic music such as violin player Mirabelle Gillis.

Marcela Dias Sindaco's music captures the essence of Gated as a label, sitting half way between so many genres: bass-heavy electro, funky breaks, squelchy synth-boogie... but driven by Marcela's breathy Portuguese vocals, expressing the depths of her carioca soul. Marcela grew up in Rio de Janeiro, and as a classically trained pianist and cellist, music was in her blood, but it was her dad's obsession with Krautrock that influenced her early music taste. Later, travelling around Europe as a model, she discovered the clubs of Berlin, Paris and Milan and incorporated what she heard into her own music, using a studio filled with analogue equipment. The result joins the dots between heads-down club stompers, electrofunk, Prince, and Brazilian samba. In a word: fresh!

Mid-summer, 2021, Waleed quietly released his debut single 'Se Rompen'. The response was anything but, with the track immediately taking hold as a sleeper hit that summer, being played out by the likes of Four Tet, Floating Points, Daphni, DJ Boring, DJ Seinfeld, Tourist and more. With word already spreading, an inclusion in Ben UFO's winter Essential Mix solidified the desire for more from this surprising new producer.

Last month, Waleed announced his signing to City Slang (Caribou, Gold Panda) with a re-release of 'Se Rompen', offering the track on ultra-rare test pressings (50 / sold out already) for the first time.

Today, we announce the pre-order of a white label 12” with “Se Rompen” and his new single “SuenÞos”, limited to 300 units worldwide.

Born in Washington DC to Iraqi/Puerto Rican parents, Waleed works in coding by day. Built around ready-made for the dancefloor kick and chopped vocals, 'Se Rompen' is an ambitious debut that showcases his focus on sound design. The Plastik People label has been going along nicely for its first few releases, with label head Marc Cotterell stepping up and coming correct last time out. Now he calls upon various artists with Dave Charlesworth taking care of the a-side of Nice Ripe Cuts. He offers two super slick garage cuts that cannot fail to make their mark on the club and it's no different on the flipside except D Lux & Y No combine first for '25 Miles' and then S R offers the irresistible 'Pressure.' An essential 12" for anyone looking to bring some fresh garage flavours.

Fierce rolling tracks with emotive strings and fresh beats on this new James Shinra ep! All previous releases from James have been some of the highlights on Analogical Force and also this one is from the same high quality! Written while the world is undergoing some turbulence... but this release calms the mind and energizes the body! Recommended!

Bolam is back on Space Dust with the 'Lost In Time' EP, a continuation of the journey started with the widely acclaimed 'Suspended Animation'. Another well-rounded and diverse record dives into the wormhole with ’Moving Lights’, a high-energy affair propelled by filtering resonators and a haunting vocal. ’Ozone’ breaks through the stratosphere of a new world, a huge track with electro-inspired groove, booming kicks and a razor-sharp lead melody, creating a feeling of uncertainty and delirium with swelling pads and arpeggiators.

The B-side begins with the mysterious and epic, genre-defying anthem ’Air Tension’, enticing the listener into the strange new world with a chugging rhythm, tantalising textures and an indescribable melody that keeps you on the line between paranoia and euphoria. ’Bioluminescence’ descends into an alien jungle, with a hypnotic, dreamy, downtempo beat and iridescent synths and chords. Finally, as you lay down in the otherworldly glade, the record wraps up with the ethereal, ambient finisher, ‘2 Parsecs From Home’.

Punchy, UK inspired House EP

We welcome Stasis to De:tuned! UK techno pioneer Steve Pickton has dug deep into his DAT tapes collection to unearth 2 previously unreleased recordings from the golden era '92-'93. Both rarities offer a trademark lush and retro-futurist Detroit inspired sound that is totally unique. Fellow Likemind legend Nuron provides a stunning remix. The track was built up from scratch as no stems were available, giving you another sneak peek of the genius musical mind that is Nuron.

The vinyl version comes with impeccable sleeve and label artwork by Abdul Haqq (Third Earth).
Mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis and pressed on 180 gr vinyl.
A separate digital release will also be available at the usual digital shops.
