Raw Rootz is back with its fifth release following the success of its previous two outings from Papol and Jorge Savoretti, both of which reaching number 1 in the sales charts.

005 is the 'Remakes E.P.' from Spanish producer and rising star Kresy. Here we find Voltereta, a track that honours the grand techno Martian and That Thing, a track that reveals its influence proudly.

The E.P. is completed by Is and Tumaca Disco. Two tracks that best define the sound of an artist who has already shown his talents on labels including Freerange and More Music and led to him becoming one of the shining producers within the Hivern Discs team, captained by John Talabot or Marc Piñol.

One of our highlights of last year was Nebraska's 'Soften the wireless' EP, with disco stomper Khan's Bargain, and an amazing Tom Noble remix. Since then, we've seen him take on quite a few live shows again, playing at Claire during ADE, and Concrete for our label showcases. He's also managed to find a bit of time to focus on his fresh (new and cool) edit label 'Friends and Relations'. Luckily, since we've been nagging him to do a new EP for Heist just enough for him to still like us, and more than enough for him to want to get it over with, we've gotten our hands on another set of amazing tunes. So we're happy to present his amazing music, nicely packaged in one handy record for your listening pleasure: the 'Metaphor to the floor' EP. You'll feel a hint of that Nebraska classic 'This is the way' on the lead track 'Affirmation', with its subtle build up and release of energy, looping vocals, and dramatic chords. Aglio e Olio is not only a simple yet tasty Italian dish with of just 5 ingredients, it's also quite the track on this EP, equalling the dish in terms of simplicity and strength. Snares on the 1, Clavi style hits and a loose arrangement give this track a great funk - house crossover appeal. On the flip, we've got fellow Londoner Laurence Guy, who just released an amazing album on the equally cool 'Church'. His version of Aglio e Olio is a dreamier excursion with filtered pads, acidey licks and more than enough balls in the low end to get you movin' in your dim-lit club of choice. The ep's final track sees Nebraska turning the energy up a notch or 2 (or 3), with 'Big plate chicken'. Besides launching his fresh Bodybuilder Quartet series (QSB), inaugurated by Scott Franka, Nachtbraker unveils yet another Quartet: four records in the The Trophy Quartet series (QST). Both these two Quartets will be released over the course of the next two years. The Trophy series will cover the warmer side of the house music spectrum. And who better than Parisian boy-wonder Tell (Banoffee Pies, Skylax, Rutilance) to kick off proceedings with the brilliant 'Faster Than Light' EP. Last year he released 'Hope Springs Eternal' on QS003 which was an overnight succes after getting rinsed by heavyweights like Jeremy Underground and Detroit Swindle, so a proper solo EP was inevitable. On the A1 Tell serves up some intergalactic French filter house dubbed 'Faster Than Light', which brings back the Daft Punk and Armand van Helden vibes of our Walkman-days. We all just love filters, admit it. Its true. Next up is 'Ya'll Feel That Honey (Paradise Mix)', a tune with undeniable swing and moody chords that ultimately collide beautifully with a delectable big room piano riff that will stay in your head for days. B1 opens with a leisurely-paced jam called 'What Can U Do For Me'. It's the 'pretty one' of the EP, the one girls fall in love with and boys hate to love because they know he's hot stuff. A high pitched vocal, asking what you can do for her, flies over rubbery Rhodes chords with neat percussion keeping you on the groove. The EP closes with B2 'Vamos A La Playa'. Keywords: coconuts, sand, bikini, six-pack and tan. Vamos! Large and in charge.

Has Jesse Rose reached legendary status yet He's certainly made a good attempt at it. The course of his career has seen him collaborating with internationally-acclaimed artists like Henrik Schwarz or Switch, producing talents such as Hot Chip and Chiddy Bang, and having three labels that have created careers for artists such as Oliver $, Riva Starr & Homework to name but three. Then there's the remixes... from Bob Marley, SND, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, to this years smash of Rufus 'Desert Night' (BBC Radio1 Essential New Tune). Even more adventurous & expansive are Jesse's own genera melding dance floor productions (go to Discogs there are 39 pages of them!). After having a hand in prototyping the early sound of tech-house, to chopping up & twisting the template on Derrick Carter's Classic, to his infamous productions on Dubsided, Jesse's most recent foray has been his classy modern take on house on his own Made To Play and Play It Down imprints. And we haven't even started discussing his game-changing compilation 'Body Language' on Get Physical, six-year residency at Berlin's techno-mecca Panorama Bar, Kiss FM radio show, Made For The Night parties, signage to Roc Nation/TSZ, or his BBC Essential mixes... One thing is for sure- Jesse has never stopped putting out tracks that move dancefloors the world over and has never allowed anyone to box him into one genre. If Jesse Rose could be remembered for one thing it's that he has always pushed for something new... which now takes us to his latest bomb 'FLY TONIGHT'. A modern take on a classic sound, 'Fly Tonight' honors the foundations of French house with a heavy and honorable nod to Thomas Bangalter's Roulé records

Damaged Memory ( Iori Remix ) Shortinfo: Roberto Bosco has selected Kiny's music to better prepare his first 12, consisting of four tracks, named 'Damaged Memory'.The track Unknown (A1) leads off the dance of the release on Last Drop Records imprint. It's a proper exploration in an unknown sonic territory to most of the people, and also a difficult element to make out for those who are novice to the visonary component in the musical poetic of Kiny. The track starts with rounds of recurring sirens, almost deafening, framed by dark and ghostly noises. Something not easily identifiable, ambiguous and unknown, as the title itself says, is perceptible in its sound. All this helps to shape a bad presage that fades away into the mystery. On the same side we find Pain Is Full (A2) that, according to the producer, was born in a moment of pain which can be overcome only by fighting. In fact, the track is characterized by a more combative and insistent tone, made up by the sound of snare and tom entering since the start and determining an atmosphere of contrast able to shake the listener until the end. Shouts of encouragement suggest an initiation rite in which there is struggle for survival. The titletrack, Damaged Memory (B1) has more quiet register with less ghostly vocals, perceived at times, unlike the previous tracks. The sounds have a vanished effect, such as when you create a halo on a white sheet with the dust of a pencil just sharpened. You will hear a sort of democracy among the sounds held together by the voice, a metaphor of a damaged memory, as the title itself recite, that always makes the same process till the end: it commences by recalling but then forgets. Last, is the version of the producer Iori, Damaged Memory (B2), on the same side.

The song was recorded between Threesome Studio in Paris and Mayer's own in L.A. To complete this EP, we've asked UK's finest producers. The mysterious KDA who's topping UK's charts, delivers an infectious remix with mental drums and funky twist. Hot Chip's main man JOE GODDARD has been one of my favorite producer ever. It was about time to have him on board! RECKONWRONG dropped the hottest EP of 2015 on Young Turks sublabel Whities. His remix is pure magic. Exotic beats with techno flavours. Last but not least, we went experimental on this one! This is the first FLOW MACHINES remix. The goal of Flow Machines is to research and develop Artificial Intelligence systems able to generate music autonomously or in collaboration with human artists.

Taking advantage of their art studies, they created the whole visual universe of the project. Their debut album in vinyle gathers 10 tracks written since the start of the project, with 2 covers of French writer and artist Boris Vian, French singer Georges Brassens in the style of the day. quick overview: Their first 2 singles ' Les Voiles ' and ' De la Vitesse à l'vresse ' released in 2014 & 2015 on Partyfine (french producer YUKSEK label) and got great press/radio in France (Vogue, Grazia, Grand Journal TV show, Konbini, France Inter playlist radio etc.) but we were also very surprised by the international pick up for songs sung in French ! Following the release of the album 'Still Waters' earlier this year, Breakbot, which has now turned into a duo, has let other artists take control of his flagship single '2good4me' and the track 'My Toy'. Four of today's most prominent producers took on the challenge to create this EP featuring Fatima Yamaha, Canblaster (one fourth of the French quartet Club Cheval), UK techno star Riton and Ed Banger Records' recent protégé Borussia.

It's a great pleasure to welcome back Waze & Odyssey to the label, since their first Please don't Dance' EP on Dirt Crew wich was released in early 2013 and that featured an excellent Detroit Swindle' remix botht duo's have had a massive rise and impact on the underground House scene worldwide. Waze & Odyssey have also had killer releases on their own imprint W&O Street tracks' and with their latest On the Downlow' single they stormed the dancefloors and major radio playlists. Waze & Odyssey is best know for their straight up bangin' House cutz and with these two tracks you get exactly that! Go Go Go' is a filterred House banger that takes us back to the early Chicago and French House productions from the mid 90's. On the other side of this fine 10 the deeper and more electrofied We Go Home' delivers some nasty breakdowns and with it's manic pitched and ascending lead sound it should shake and stir your brain to get your feet moving for sure. The Tiger is back - finally on full length again! The result is a panoramic extravaganza of disco, funk, house, soul, afrobeat, synth-pop, psychedelia, hip-hop and gospel. Though it's more a feeling, rather than a specific sound - generous, optimistic, and emotional - Ibifornia is also the culmination of a lifetime of ideas. It boasts an all-star cast of long-term collaborators and friends including Cat Power and Pharrell Williams on the hypnotic house anthem "Go Up" while OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder guests on the jubilant blue-eyed soul romp "The Missing."

Cassius' story thus far is already the stuff of dance music mythology. They emerged amidst Paris' defining French Touch movement, where the likes of "Feeling For You," "1999" and "The Sound of Violence" - alongside friends such as Daft Punk - helped shape the future of electronic music. It was an intimate scene which always proved conducive to collaboration, and soon provided the band with distractions on a global scale: Zdar has become a Grammy-award winning producer and mixer for his work on seminal albums from Phoenix, Kindness, Bloc Party, Chromeo, and Ibifornia collaborators Cat Power, Beastie Boys and Pharrell Williams.

The first release of 2014 on Busy P's Ed Banger imprint comes from the head man himself and he's served up a solid set of remixes. Breakbot turns his hand at reworking 'This Song' and although it features those dreamy synths and quintessential guitar licks it displays a slightly deeper feel for the disco producer. Desirre and Djedjotronic also remix 'This Song' with very positive results, and there's even a wild and erratic Bok Bok remix of 'Procrastinator'. The stand-out, however, comes in the form of 'Rainbow Man 2.0' which sees the cracking original get a shiny and more outrageous makeover.

The Rawkers EP...more than 10 years after the release of Cassius' first album, the duet comes out with a 6 tracks project that mustn't have left a lot of people who've listened to it indifferent. Well, if there are two people who appreciated the EP, it is Jay-Z & Kanye West, aka The Throne, who sampled the famous I <3 USo' on their track Why I Love You", turning it into an absolute popular anthem. If the former album of the band was a tribute to adolescence, here it is more about the earliest days of ours, as the song Les Enfants' (Children) depicts it. To such an extent that The Rawkers EP sounds like a gigantic playground, full of joy and happiness. We're glad to repress this record and to give you an opportunity to escape through this enchanting opus, before Cassius' new album is released.

The mysterious Usio project first showed its bewitching janus-face in 2013 with the release of Kuwa Huru, a star-striking collection of electronic blues for the dance floor that also constituted the first full-length album to appear on Studio Barnhus. Kuwa Jasiri is a follow-up and an appendix and something entirely new - these four tracks stem from intense rehearsals of Usio's emotive, energetic live show (coming soon, if you're lucky, to a dark basement/dewy forest floor near you). The breezing funk of opening track Gonna Make It, the freakish stomp of Planet Dust, Over The Andes in all its precipitous acid-jammin' glory and contemplative, elegant closing track Pamoja have all captivated us at Studio Barnhus. It's a beautiful night outside so we thought it might be time to let these birdies fly.

Hamburg based star duo Kruse & Nuernberg, already key players in the deep house scene with star appearances on labels like Lazy Days, Noir or Moodmusic and having worked with the likes of Groove Armada or Wolf + Lamb, come forward to provide an exquisite EP for OFF.

"Off Course" takes us back to the roots of US house, with a string filtered disco sample full of magic and a pulsating bass groove that will not allow anybody to stay put on the dancefloor.

Stefano Ritteri, from Defected fame, brings his own talent on remix duties turning this track into a bass house monster. While keeping the string vibe alive he adds his trickery and a killer bassline that grooves the whole way through.

Last comes "Since You Came" with K&N's signature sound, lovely rhodes and perfect vocal flow constructed over a rolling bass and classic house beats.

Tom Trago's Voyage Direct series brings us another Amsterdam based talent. This time its the debut release of Interstellar Funk, who delivers the haunting and sleazy "House Train" which is backed up with a Makam remix.
With its raw drums and deep bassline "House Train" sounds like an 80's Chicago production, however the vocals give the track an unique timeless character and make you want to listen to the track over and over again. Oddly addictive. On the flip, Makam adds an extra drive to the track with its forward drums and synth lines.

The release of "House Train" almost never happened. Interstellar Funk, aka Olf Van Elden, recorded the track over a year ago, then gave it to a few friends and forgot about it. When it got into the hands of Tom Trago he immediately started to play the track at local parties, never realizing it was produced by a local. When he found out, he signed the track and commissioned Makam to do a remix.

Olf Van Elden is part of the new wave Amsterdam producers. Next to his Interstellar Funk project, he is busy with his Tape record label and spends his days at the Rush Hour Records office.
