The third release on So Low is a 5-track EP from Ian Hicks, formerly one half of Soft Metals. Ian also appeared on our 'Now & Then' compilation EP. Here he commands his own release and sets the synths to stun with 5 tracks of analogue waves ranging from the XTC bliss out of 'Character Collapse' and 'Depths Of Psyche' to the shockwave klang of 'Chemical Environments' and 'Specter', perhaps leaving the very best to last with the ultimate hypno, sex slug groove of 'Continuous'. Often you may find yourself wondering what it is that separates us, what segregates and classifies us, jaggedly dividing us into our mismatched groups of apparent similitude. You pull into question this supposedly pragmatic and balanced approach to modern society and take it apart, piece by piece, in an attempt to see a way that we can move forward and create a world in which everything and everyone resonates as one. It's a pure picture, a vision where we no longer exist in this dystopian Discordia, a world defined entirely by distorted fringes and crooked boundaries. It's this harmonious world, a world of 'Fields Without Fences' that we dream of. The dream is fully and wholeheartedly realised in this stunning body of work. It opens with the beautiful 'Undisguised', a piece comprised of intricately interwoven drums and emotionally enrapturing melodies, finished off with beautifully drawn out vocals. From here you're taken on what can only be described as an undulating journey through immutable rhythms, spellbinding riffs and barrier transcending vocals. Long, one-note bass lines unavoidably hypnotise you and draw you into the music in a way that's not dissimilar to insects' attraction to light. It ebbs and flows perfectly, with peak tracks such as 'In Other Worlds' or 'Homeboy' enticing you to shake a leg, while downtimers such as 'Late Checkout TBC' or 'Fields Without Fences' encourage you to take a step back and reflect. Oliver Schories has crafted a truly captivating, emotional and spiritually enlightening journey with this latest offering of his trademark melodic crossbreed of house and techno. During the course of his prosperous career he has gained an extremely impressive following and has released on labels such as Parquet, Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke, Kittball and Noir. 'Fields Without Fences' is his third studio album and will be his first full length on his own SOSO imprint.

Musically and emotionally, Superpitcher's third full-length studio album, The Golden Ravedays is a one sound autobiography that exhibits the skill, feeling and depth of style that the artist has honed over a period of twenty years, musically, and forty-plus-years, emotionally. Out of nowhere, Average delivers an esoteric soundtrack to exquisite label Junior Executive through three distinctly different cuts for your head and feet. Listed as 'Above Average', Haye Haye is straight up disco vibes for camp fire dances under starry Southern Cross skies. Try to sit still to this monster... On the humbly titled 'Below Average' side, Cold builds and builds until the mighty release finally delivers you from evil, whereas Hisingen takes you on a trip to some long lost hippie island where hypnotising flutes try to persuade you to join the cult. Wicked. !

Crown Of Brahma are Charles Stella, Nicole Willis & Daniel Wyatt. The songs An Angel On My Shoulder & And I'll Be Free As A Bird were recorded in the period between 1995-1997, originally set for release on an LP on Rawkus Records in 1997. This album would have followed the release of the group, Repercussions, album Charmed Life (Pony Canyon, 1997).

Nicole Willis was the lead singer / songwriter of this group. Charles Stella & Daniel Wyatt worked together at Temple Of Soul in New York City, where some of Charmed Life was also recorded. These two vocal tracks have never been commercially released, however were heard by Tommi Grönlund of Sähkö Recordings and Leftfield, who requested to work with Ms Willis in result.

The two tracks have been remastered in 2017 by Charles Stella.

Quartet Series, an independent record label founded by Maurits Verwoerd (Nachtbraker) and Giuseppe D'Alessandro (KiSk) in 2016. Don't rule out the Good Guys just yet though, as they seem to be plotting something their opponents from the dark side won't see coming... For the second outing in the Quartet Series, French fry and Parisian Concrete resident S3A (Sampling As A n Art, Faces) infuses the good guys with some positive energy. No matter the weather, one simple cannot ignore the good vibes being thrown down here. S3A shares his side of the record with Russian comrade Ponty Mython (Dirt Crew, Quintessentials), a producer who is never afraid to step out of his comfort zone. His 'Lovin You Is A Pleasure' is a glorious exploration of Afro rhythms and unconventional sounds against an Adriatic backbeat. Will this curveball be the silver bullet the Good Guys will be slinging at their evil adversaries Problem is, Team Badness has also been enlisting secret weaponry. Newcastle's very own NY * AK (Technicolour/Ninja Tune, Karakul) decided to walk over to the turn to the dark side. Don't be fooled by the continuous chanting of love' throughout the track or those soothing Rhodes chords, as the raw MPC beats will hit you hard. Finally, D-Ribeiro (4lux, Meda Fury), hailing from Rotterdam, provides the proverbial dragon punch with synths hammering down like chainsaws and a devastating baseline. No love lost between these two fighting machines, so kick back, relax

The music of Giuseppe Leonardi moves through the brain in psychedelic and playful ways. Young Giuseppe prepared his shamanic amalgamation of percussion, athmosperes and synth patterns some summers ago in the catacombs of Vienna. Machine sounds from a glittering future. He shifts his instruments out of the timezone and takes us on a trip in his cosy dinghy.

Cork native Colm K has been making waves on both the Irish and international scene since his selection for the Red Bull Music Academy in 2003. With releases onBastard Jazz,r2, and his recent release onAll City Records, Colm K has earned his place on both critics' and fans' radars. He has refined and defined his style throughout the years both as a producer and DJ, as well as holding down his residency at Cork's renownedSunday Timesparty.

Colm K steps up for the third release on Tiff's Joints with two contrasting off-kilter jams. "Beginnings" sees Colm strip things right back - led by a bubbling organic percussion line, soothing chords and a near g-funk lead melody. "Six Four Hundred" steps things up a notch. Kicking off with jagged, broken drums and morphing into a skippy, bottom heavy bubbler with a tilt of the hat to West London's Co-Op movement. The B-side sees the inimitable K15 (Eglo Records/Wild Oats) put his own spin on "Beginnings", trading the spaced grooves for a driving beat and luscious keys licks. Early support comes from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Josey Rebelle, Alexander Nut, Jimpster, Kev Beadle and more.

"For Christian H" is a compilation album from the Arctic Norwegian city of Tromsø, dedicated to the memory of Christian Hollingsæter - the director of the Insomnia festival - who died unexpectedly in May this year, only 35 years old.

All 11 tracks have been gifted exclusively for the album, which is available as a digital download, a CD, and as a LIMITED EDITION LP. Only 100 copies made. All proceeds will go to Christian´s son Julian.

Quality is the key word from Copenhagen based Music For Dreams and here is another home run. Willie Graff splits his year between DJ residencies in New York and Ibiza. In this new outing with studio partner Darren Eboli, the influence is, as the title suggests, clearly NY-based. Over only four tracks, the pair manage to craft a stunningly comprehensive exploration of the essential elements of dance music.

Opening track "Love Flight" staggers into a lush string-driven groove that recalls the glory of Metro Area meets Wally Badarou vibes. Minimal yet playful, it lounges somewhere in the depths of the house tradition, calling on familiar sounds while throwing in odd details along the way (harmonicas). It takes both skill, devotion and a sense of humor to pull this track off, making for a strong opening. "Moon Tan" lingers on a metallic hook that drags you into a plethora of percussion followed by a rubbery soft baseline. Dubby key work would suggest this was a new wave band jamming at Compass Point, while the icy chill of the xylophone transports you into 80s italo territory.

"Second Sun" pulls out the bag of boogie tricks, relying on a firm but humble baseline and smattering drum machine claps. Nile Rodgers-style guitar licks guide us onwards into a well-orchestrated jam that builds up and breaks down with perfect timing while dreamy chords reach for the sky. "First Light" keeps the groove tight while dipping over towards more Balearic temperatures. Steeped in a watery atmosphere and gentle organic percussion, it focuses in on a trance-inducing arpeggio that lulls you in to the swaying Badarou-style synth swirls that intercept it.

The Broken Orchestra return with their brand new 'Blinded EP'. This release is the first since welcoming new members Emily Render (Vocals) and Tom Kay (Guitar) to the fold, joining founding producers Pat Dooner and Carl Conway-Davis.

The EP, Produced and mixed by The Broken Orchestra and mastered by Pete Maher (The 1975, U2, Paul Weller), features 5 brand new tracks which combine the groups trademark chopped, laid back, melodic trip-hop with ambient textures.

In early 2017, after several years of releasing music as a production only outfit, with appearances from various talented musicians, and with BBC 6Music and Radio 1 airplay under their belt, Pat Dooner and Carl Conway- Davis announced that they would be taking The Broken Orchestra live with the help of Emily Render and Tom Kay. This resulted in a sold out debut show in August 2017.

Now the band set their sights on a busy 2018 as they kick off a promotional cycle for their new 'Blinded EP' which is set to be released on 9th February 2018 via A Bridge Too Far Recordings.

Young Parisian producer NiKiT bursts onto the electronic music scene with his debut release 'Arcanes', a mini-album consisting of 8 tracks. Its atmosphere is reminiscent of early dark electro, with a dubby touch, pulsating drive and underground techno feel - a real dancefloor cracker.

On Selected Ambient, Martina Lussi brings together a collection of sound material from her practice to date. The material oscillates between electroacoustic composition, sound art, and live performance. The pieces are named after precious gemstones, all of which are traditionally ascribed with special powers. In using these names, the artist seems to refer to the esoteric roots of the genre invoked by the LP's title. The compositions, however, resist the genre's characteristically naïve re-enchantment of the world and distrust holistic esotericism's promise of healing and restoration. Instead, they are defined much more by an interest in affective uncertainties. In these four compositions as in other works, Lussi creates a sound world in which circling correlations raise more questions than they answer-in contrast to esotericism, which insists on imbuing its material with meaning. Lussi therefore facilitates a listening experience that refers to ambient at its best and most radical: her music represents neither a dissolution of the self in complete uncertainty nor a contemplative internal landscape, but rather a tremulous hovering over the border between the two.

Never underestimate a quiet guy. Soft spoken and well-mannered Alexander Pletnev moved 3 years ago from the Russian city of St. Petersburg to the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. That has been more than enough time for him to make the city his own. A co-founder of a hip barber's shop that also hosts an improvised Vinyl second hand corner, not to mention a cozy little bar where he can be found serving a quirky selection of beers, Alex soon embraced influences filtered through the local nightlife institution 'Opium Club'. His production powerhouse Pletnev explores darker territories and far-out music lands untouched by his bright and melodic creative alter ego - Ponty Mython. The St. Bones EP follows his well received and strongly selling offerings on Meda Fury and Bahnsteig23. The EP's two tracks, of contrasting mood and tempo, are accompanied by two top drawer remixes from the Japanese tailor of sound and taste RYOTA OPP and on-the-rise fellow St. Petersburg producer and selector, Inga Mauer.

Following the release of Synkro AKA Joe McBride collection of his formative early works earlier this year, Apollo Recordings is proud to present a brand new EP that draws on the rich heritage of library music. Despite having come up during the dubstep era McBride's music has always resisted easy classification - 'Hand In Hand' sees him shift his musical focus in a yet more cinematic direction. McBride explains : "The record was inspired and influenced by my love of electronic 80's UK library records like the Chappell AV series, Bruton, Soundstage & De Wolfe Music library. There's a lot of synth work that carries on from my album using my trusted Juno-6 / SH101 / JX8P combo with the addition of drum samples via an old akai S2800 I purchased recently. Most sounds I've made from scratch on hardware based on sounds used in the library records I mentioned above along with a few cheeky samples." Synkro's signature expansive atmospherics are still very much present, but now they have been burnished by soaring synth pads and pulsing drum tracks that call to mind the haunted melancholy of John Carpenter or contemporary such as Legowelt or Andy Stott. Rhythmically 'Hand In Hand' sees McBride moving somewhat away from his usual off kilter programming inspired by 2-step and garage, embracing the steady pulse of 4:4 which turns out to be an effortless fit.

The second installment of Micronesia is a finely variegated five-tracker to lure the senses. LK delivers his signature deepness embedded in a mesmerizing blend of beats and bass, while Shanahan & Lynch make their debut with Ask, an intricate and downreaching cut to sooth the soul. On the flip side, Duijn & Douglas break the ice with Remarkster, a hypnotic and yet pulsating jam that unsettles head and feet. Next, Omar Santis presents Like buttah on yo breakfast toast, an invigorating tune that builds up to bliss, before VGAV ends the journey with a delicately woven joint to set the mind adrift.

This record, and the full 2XLP that will follow it, are dedicated to and inspired by events in 2015 & 2016, which saw the spectre of global crisis come knocking at Europe's doorstep.

During this time, more than a million migrants and refugees fled their homes in the Middle East, Northern Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and other conflict ravaged areas in search of a better life. For many, hopes of a future for themselves and their families lay in continental Europe.

While the reasons for such displacement, on a scale unseen in almost a century, are many, so are the reasons for Europe being seen as the ideal destination. The relative peace and calm of the continent and the prospect of building prosperous lives in Western Europe was enough to mobilize multitudes to embark on the treacherous journey to Europe.

One of the most well-trodden paths on this journey was the Balkan route, a trail leading through Turkey, Greece, and the former Yugoslavia. This route was not without its dangers, and the dreams of many were dashed by impassible security fences and discordant EU politics, as one by one they were turned away at borders, or worse, forcibly returned to their countries of origin.

Europa is the first single that represents the seed of discontent, from which the 2XLP grew. It was recorded during long jam sessions in Belgrade as the media spotlight started to dim. The city became the purgatorial destination for a large number of migrants, whose journeys had been cut short and this record reflects the atmosphere of disillusionment and uncertainty about the future, which descended on the Serbian capital.

Hand - stamped, 7" vinyl only business

Poppet is the bold alter-ego of California-raised musician Molly Raney. Before Poppet's genesis in 2008, Raney spent many years training in a wide variety of musical fields from western classical to jazz to choral to Hindustani (Northern Indian classical tradition) to Gamelan (Indonesian classical ensemble music). She also has an extensive background in music theory, music history, and ethnomusicology, from both her childhood lessons and her education at the University of California in Davis. Through high school and her time at UC Davis, she studied with vocal coach Dr. Rebecca Plack of the San Francisco Conservatory-a major influence on her vocal style and elasticity. This broad musical background, plus her involvement with community freeform radio station KDVS, accounts for Poppet's own sonic diversity.

Savage Grounds return to Lux Rec for the third time, with their third record. Atrocities comes after Unpleasant Music for Unpleasant People, released in 2015, and Over Fences, 2014. It is, as much as the previous 2, the result of investigations in music, live, composed with a minimum amount of instruments. The duo, comprised of CCO and Daniele Cosmo, worked with a Roland 606, a Roland 909 and a modular synthesiser. Experimenting with FM modulation and loose sequences. The result is concrete noise, anger, ghostly voices, and above all, the sheer conscience of human failures.

Asa Moto are Oli and Gilles. They first arrived on DEEWEE with the 'Stay Awake' / 'Wanowan Efem' double header. They are back with a new E.P produced alongside Dave and Stephen Dewaele. 'System Nature' utilises old school stabs in a modern fashion over slow-mo sound, 'Make Me Prada' brings large sound melody, 'Athina' is off-key funk and 'Syriacid' is modern in a classic fashion. Optimo Music don't generally do limited edition releases but when The Golden Filter did these extra mixes of 'End Of Times',

the A1 track off their recent EP we thought they were too good to remain in the digital domain so have pressed up a small run of 12' singles aimed specifically at DJs.
The original single version is a future synth classic. These new dub versions take it to the dancefloor and have been tried and tested around the world over the last few months. They are considerably extended, dubbed out and add extra dynamics & ecstatic synth power with hints of the original vocal. There is a slo mo version at 103 bpm and a faster version at 118bpm which means the track should work any time from warm up to peak set. There is also a Drone-Apella version included too.

Blind Jack embarks on another journey around secret cities, this time we drop into Wuppertal, capital of 'Bergisches Land' in Germany. Famous for the space-age Schwebebahn and the Lego Brücke. We invite Mr. Mauke 'Colkin' to the team and he dishes out some seriously deep dreaminess that would happily get you around the Schwebebahn in a day-dreaming trance. Also featuring the divine vocals of fellow Wuppertal resident Maria Basel.

This Acker Dub is coming from Herrenhaus & Treindl and includes a dreamy powerful track and a Dolph remix.

Permanently re-inventing himself Peter Clamat, Big Bait Records owner, the artist of UKNOWY, Neovinyl Recordings and already appearing on Sex Panda White with Neptune EP with Ishmael & Leo Wölfel remixes is the man after the opening 'Living Color' track, full of energy, deep chords and raw house drums.
Moony Me is a German-Venezuelan producer and DJ, based in Munich/Vienna, signed to Uncanny Valley, Apparel Music, Toy Tonics. He takes the next step on the release with 'State Of Bliss' played around the melodic arpeggios, screaming vocals and authentic house energy.
Anonymous guy Mystep is a sound producer and singer with releases on Large Music, Apparel Music, Lapsus Music working with major singers in electronic world like Cari Golden, Burnski's voice Beckford and Rahjwanti, is putting his hand to the smooth and laidback deep & funky 'Think' track featuring the vocals by Parisian LaVoyce.
The track elegantly performed by Mystep & LaVoyce is somewhere between deep house and funk, rich with guitars, hammond organs is the good story in the end.
We are very happy to have Americans Pools who after producing the album from our friends from Razor-N-Tape found time to contribute for full length release on Sex Panda White (oops, soon to follow) and 'Etobicoke' - the chill edit which is the logical ending of the whole 'Colors' release.

On the A-Side label head Relative delivers to you 'I can't get it', tight 4/4 stomping raw drums mixed with hypnotic pads and old school vocoder, next track is a "ghetto" 2-step juicy remix by Blatta. A3 is a classic deep lo-fi punch house by the Napoli based S-DM.

B-side welcomes back Tengrams and its analogue toys, "Another day" is a balanced 808 running pattern song that leaves your mind dreaming. B2 is the newcomer Will Hofbauer with its moody melodies, easy rhythms and heavy choruses. Last track is Thunderdub from Amazing Analog Adventures, pure Italian gem between used machines and vocal cuts on 110 bpm.

This June Session Victim return to Delusions Of Grandeur imprint with their third studio album. Listen To Your Heart is the result of a year of cross-continental scripting, started in their Hamburg studio and wrapped up stateside in San Francisco's Room G Studios where the duo had worked on their 2014 LP See You When You Get There. Here we present the second of three LP samplers containing four tracks each, cut nice and loud for the vinyl crew.
Shadows gets things rolling with a classic Session Victim housey groove, looped up pads and hooky spoken vocal samples. Filtered string stabs bring a warm and soulful edge whilst dub delay touches add a floaty element to get lost in. Next up we have Unchained which drops the bpm's for a widescreen, slo-mo jam clouded in a smokey haze with jazzy touches, recalling the halcyon days of Pork Recordings.
Flipping over we have a brand new LP version of previous single Up To Rise, another sublime slice of blissed-out house music with a wonderful organic and live sound palette. Echoing Rhodes licks join the lead guitar tune for a Balearic beauty which will be stuck in your head long after the sun sets. Closing this second sampler we have Over And Over, which winds things down somewhat for an inspired, bass-led roller.
An impeccable demonstration of retro-inspired yet forward thinking house and downtempo music, Listen To Your Heart sees Session Victim at the top of their game.

In the wake of Youandewan's Spiral Arms EP, Will Saul's AUS turn their attention from the established to the auspicious and present a brand new artist from the camp: Escape. Based in Glasgow, Escape is a fledgling talent whose cultivation amongst the ranks sees him now ready to drop the first of several EPs on AUS. His debut EP 'Just Escape' is a poignant brew of delicately treated vocals, swooning strings and gut-wrenching melodicism. Backed up by remixes from the mighty Justin Martin and Jacques Greene this is a package that astutely straddles the bridge between pop and underground dance music - a skill which AUS have honed throughout their lauded and extensive anthology. The title track drifts atop a glacial bed as softly shifting strings are punctuated by Escape's haunting croon before 'Without You' blooms behind sportive synth work and jutting vocals that are underpinned by a vibrant 4/4 groove. Dirtybird regular Justin Martin mines deep into 'Just Escape' and offers up a Remix and a Dub. Subtly permeated with some nifty sampling, his revision spotlights a vocal reprise that's impelled by a low-end that punches in signature fashion. LuckyMe mainstay Jacques Greene weighs in with a prodigious take on the title track that churns and swells throughout it's extended duration rounding up an enlivening insight into an artist that's primed to make some serious headway throughout 2015.

On his own Ladies and Gentlemen imprint, Green Supreme is the fourth studio album from house music veteran Phonique: a collection of 11 remarkable songs from one of the scene's most revered producers. To describe Phonique as prolific would be something of an understatement. To date, he has amassed a discography of more than 500 original tracks and remixes - as well as three previous studio albums - for acclaimed labels such as Dessous, Poker Flat, Crosstown Rebels, Systematic, Souvenir and of course his own label Ladies and Gentlemen, a collection which includes some runaway successes. Despite working on Green Supreme, Phonique's fierce production rate has continued unabated in 2016, with highlights including 'T Groove' on Katermukke and his stunning remix of Frank & Friedrich 'Coming Home' which landed on Universal earlier this year.
