She Loves It / Somewhere by Kirik follows iO(mulen)'s EP released lately last year. Opener "She Loves It" layers graceful elements, drifting sounds, pirouetting percussion and lets them slowly roll in like a thick fog. Bvoice,Anrilov & SickDisco deliver a more minimalistic version of "She Loves It". This guys are a great trio from Moscow, analog gurus, already released on Pro-Tez, Highway, Time Has Changed, Body Parts. On the other side we have another piece of material from Kirik called Somewhere, which does the same job with similar elements. Its melodious drum loop is the fulcrum around which densely layered hi-hats, shakers and various pads bounce and rotate. Midi Mood Records is glad to introduce 'Look at me', the new EP by Manfredi Barbarossa (known as DJ Manfred), in collaboration with Sanna Hartfield's marvellous voice, with whom he had already produced the chill-house track 'City of lights' (remixed by Martin Roth, Alex Dimou and Phunx). This issue too is the result of the cooperation among three prominent producers: Moodymanc, known also as Dubble D, representative of the 2020Soundsystem. Tevo Howard, an historic American DJ and representative of the most authentic Chicago house. Marcman, a talent producer from Romania, who has published high-level releases on labels as Moan, Bass Culture, Time Has Changed, Oslo, Monique and many others. Characterized by an elegant and suggestive old-school style, 'Look at me' offers the perfect combination between voice and sound. The rhythm and the balanced style grant an unprecedented harmony that presents a waving energy around the notes. 'Look at me' besides being the real title of the sequence, it seems to be the expression of steadiness and fluidity of the voice, in a context of music balance, presenting in the first part a moderate and suggestive trend, the second one completely changes the rhythm, on different tones. Lehult is back on the roll after living the rockstar life that naturally follows a sold out debut release. But just like with sex and marriage, it's the second time that you really have to make count: after some overwhelming feedback for Lucky Charmz' 'Follow Me To Flottbek Falls' EP, Lehult returns with a follow-up that adds some spin to the curveball. The 'Let's Get Playa' EP introduces three core members of the Lehult crew: Liem (pictured on the cover, Gin&Tonic in hand), Eddie Ness and Johan Kaseta all take their shots in mixed couplets, delivering some machine driven, sunlit house with a refreshing, ice cold splash. 'Bassforce XXL' sets up the A-sides' sunrise beach vibe with an uplifting chord progression and a fruity, dynamic bassline - the kind that makes a musician bounce around his studio grinning sheepishly, transporting that same effect to the dance floor. Then, A2 'M-Trax", while revolving around the same sunlit feeling, plunges deeper with swirling birdsong melodies and raw, thumpin' drums'n'congas. Almost a rhythm track, its' simple yet challenging structure - emotive chords, a yearning for the held off bassline - creates an absorbed moment on the dancefloor. The title track 'Let's Get Playa' on the B-side sees Eddie team up with Johan Kaseta-who has already silently put out a limited cassette beat tape on Lehult and has become infamous for his wild one-deck DJ-Sets. 'Playa' is a seductive cut of low-slung breezy house that doesn't fail to surprise - before sending you driving into the sunset on your quad with the EP's extra-long, wavey outro.

Incolor is a collage of distinctive sounds, purposed to disturb the listener's reality, smearing paradoxical stances throughout the entire record. TRCKV01 approach differs from normality. The beginning of each side taints mystery and a relaxed state while the following smears vigor to the record. On the A-side, Greorogythme casts minimalistic glitches onto the cosmic Watch The Stars Falling, while Scopter & iON bring an excess of drums and dub, enfolding in a persisting voice that forms Muntele De La Mare. On the B-side, Key Clef builds an ever-growing tension on disrupted tempos, over persisting wobbles, all which finalize in Keep The Deep. Finally, Dual Shaman lash out on the closing track, with a hard to digest overload of kicks, drums all wrapped in a hard to digest CroMagnon. The record is as complex in sound as colors on a canvas painting, going in depth, exploring unheard mixtures and combinations. Heard entirely, it paints a perfect colored picture.

A deftly simple combination of classic ingredients. Think 90s Inner City meets a DJ Sprinkles era Motor City Drum Ensemble.
You & Them (against the world) is all short looped disco bass and saturated afro moog. Heavy use of delay pedal, and a simple vocal refrain - 'It was you & them against the world... and we survive together'. This sounds like Afefe Iku battling it out Paperclip People era Carl Craig.

Gradus Records is an unique music journey running by Eskuche and Nu Sky. The history beginning from the moment when two great friends decided collaborate they music into something special. They left the country where they lived and moved to New York. Inspired by this crazy city they built their studio, produced new music far away from day-in day-out madness of the life they left behind for a while. This imprint is oriented to deliver underground sound in originally native way - Vinyl. The sound concept of Gradus Records integrates from the most ground-breaking house and techno through dark and deep organic grooves.

The 3rd in Tee Mango's Tribute project, inspired by the much referenced Theo Parrish quote:
Love of the music should be the driving force of any producer, performer or DJ.
Everything else stems from that core, that love. With that love, sampling can become a tribute; An expansion on ideas long forgotten, reconstruction, collage.
Talk 2 Heris the 1st track here. Acoustic guitars melt slowly into thick loose rhodes and held 101 licks, with a Classic (Def Mix produced) vocal loop glueing the whole thing together.
The arrangement is uncomplicated and obviously influenced by the detroit legends he clearly holds in high regard and as such the quality of the elements are allowed to shine through. Proper house music.
Drumspeak is warehouse disco. A selection of simple elements strung together with care. Held strings, chord stabs & bubbling filters, with the weighty drums carrying the whole track on their broad manly shoulders. As the sample emerges from the filter through the dry ice, it brings with it.... a lady of the night, a baggy of something suspicious and... the party.
The last #Tribute release sold double quick, my hunch is that these will not hang about.

I walk around in the solar field. From here, the surrounding beams look like cylinderthick, motionless rain or comet tails painted onto the sky. The tower is all white because the sunrays are pointing directly at it, white in an erased way, like if you leave an empty patch on a drawing, and surrounded by a halo. I go over to one of the sun mirrors. It's huge and darkish and cold when I touch it. I don't know if it's cold and immune to the sun or transfixed in a much more extreme way than the desert. A solar plant can take much more sunlight. It has direct access, like a clip through into the thing outside. The widest zone, like the highest point when it's lightning. The sunlight is magnetic. Intense heat from the mantle pushing against the crust to get closer to the sun.
