Celebrating 30 years in the game for Z Records with a series of 12” vinyl EP’s containing some of the most sought-after remixes from the esteemed Z back catalogue. Part 2 sees highly desired cuts from Doug Willis, Joey Negro, The Sunburst Band, Mid Air and The Revenge.

First up, Doug Willis’ ‘Crystal Lover’ is a bass heavy jam slathered over the top of a toasted slice of percussion, cosmic vocal swoons, and eternally echoing horns. Next, the 1991 classic that really put Dave Lee on the map ‘Do What You Feel’ saw a standout remix from the man himself in 2015. The JN Revival Mix keeps much of the original music but beefs up the drums and bass to make for a super punchy sounding update.

Flip it over and find yourself lost in Joey Negro & The Sunburst Band ‘Only Time Will Tell ft. Angela Johnson (JN City Connection Mix)’. This jazzy, Latin-tinged and unashamedly musical dance cut showed the full force of soulful house music, made ever sweeter by Angela’s wonderful voice. Closing out proceedings, The Revenge unleashes a signature slammer of an edit of Mid Air ‘Ease Out’, perfect for blasting out across the highway or teasing in across the night.

Actual Music is a Swiss record label with a focus on Detroit House, Deep House, and Nu Disco. Taking inspiration from the masters of Detroit, the label was started by Alexandre Gazzola & Michel Catanese in 2017.

Alex Mota is a DJ and producer based in Switzerland and as a member of Los Cruzeiros, he released on Crossfontier Audio, Monique Musique and Tenampa Recordings, working with Pier Bucci, Marc Poppcke, Hernan Cattaneo and Nima Gorji.

Here Mota provides us with a diverse four tracker. Opener ‘Senses’ is an uplifting nu disco stomper with nods to New Order with the vocal. ‘Buenos Aires’ fuses Flamenco guitar and Latin flavours a plenty fitting for the most Balearic dancefloor scenes, whilst working itself up into a rhythmic house beat too.

The relentless ‘Chicago’ goes heads down and four to the floor with some well-placed trumpet flourishes. Closing out the EP is ‘Bogota’. Latin flavoured House as the title would suggest, with scattered percussion and cheeky vocal samples.

DJ Koze's 2013 album opus Amygdala has continued to bewitch all who encounter it since its release. Tipped as his own personal Sgt. Pepper, the sublime long-player revealed a fully-realised and personal body of work, complete with a classic songwriting at its core, House in its heart, and veins coursing with psychedelic color. La Duquesa' was the album's dreamy single standout, a journey into deep, tropical ecstasy. XTC' begins in the same spirit, and captures the all the blissful allusions of its name, but its initial gentility belies the deep intensity to come. Floating pads glow with celestial ambience as a kick drum is gradually coaxed into solid form, and the introduction of spoken text begins the second act. Many people are experimenting with the drug Ecstasy,' it says, ...is the drug like the lie and meditation the truth Or am I missing something that could really help me". XTC' then transforms: sweetly imploring tones become demanding, gentle gradients between chords turn hard-edged, and sharp hi-hats cut through the haze. Complete with Koze's signature percussive quirks, it drives towards the track's final pay off: an undeniable, all-consuming, irresistible high. Knee On Belly' recalls Koze at his most tongue-in-cheek and overt, it is bright, bold and literally brassy, using cut-up horns of all shapes and sizes to patchwork together his own unique arrangement. With the highs and mid ranges accounted for, Koze adds in a swollen, thrumming bass line to mix to bring this floor-filler to life. Knee on Belly' recalls a raw, filtered and funky approach to groove, with a nod to disco house and the art of artful sampling, as it orbits between its own neon highs and simmering lows.

For the last 20 years London-based author and party organiser Tim Lawrence has dedicated himself to excavating the history of New York City party culture and bringing some of the most powerful aspects of that culture to London’s dance scene, from where it has ricocheted around the world.

Having conducted the first and set of major interviews with David Mancuso of the New York City Loft, Lawrence started to host Loft-style Lucky Cloud Sound System parties with David and friends in London in June 2003. In February 2004 he published the first of three published three pioneering histories that have excavated and championed the previously overlooked foundations of contemporary party culture: Love Saves the Day: A History of American Dance Music (1970-79), Hold on to Your Dreams: Arthur Russell and the Downtown Music Scene (1973-92), and Life and Death on the New York Dance Floor (1980-83). Since 2018 Lawrence has hosted and DJed at the community audiophile party "All Our Friends. Paper Magazine describes him as the “reigning authority on the history of dance music in New York”.

With knowledge to share, and a readership as well as a dance floor to feed, Lawrence released Life and Death on the New York Dance Floor as the debut imprint on Reappearing Records. A year in the making, a compilation featuring rare and iconic tracks that appear in his much-loved and heavily-thumbed classic Love Saves the Day amounts to the follow-up. The collection features several tracks selected regularly by Mancuso, the party host who exerted a prophetic and unparalleled influence on New York City party culture, as charted by Lawrence. It also includes choice picks from groundbreaking DJs such as Michael Cappello, Steve D’Acquisto, Francis Grasso, Richie Kaczor, Larry Levan and Nicky Siano, whose expressive contributions are faithfully recorded in Love Saves the Day. The compilation traces how disco grew out of the record collections and intuitive sensibility of these and other DJs, offering a unique survey of the era’s expansive sonic palette.

Rolling through the depths to the surface, this is the sound of your wildest trips. Not italo, not cosmic, not deep: we’re not putting a label on this one. Options? A remix from Kris Baha showing his flair for a downtempo industrial jam. Another by head-honcho Franz Scala adds his famous running Italian Dance brush. Sound perfection.

Bottin teams up with Francisco (Jolly Music, L.U.C.A.) for a drugged-out, sexed up, slo-mo psych-rock aptly titled LOVE LIFE. Old acquaintance Rodion steps in on remix duties, working deranged synth magic in the extended dj version. On the flipside, Argentina's Fernando Pulichino (2020 Soundsystem, Silver City) joins in with his flamboyant bass and shimmering guitars on DELTA TIGRE, an afro-cosmic sound contraption. The IchiSan remix heads up to the sky, all the way to synth heaven. Overall a compelling, throbbing disco-not-disco EP for adventurous djs and dancers in-the-know, who want to hear something different and juicy.

Legendary US vocalist Leon Ware (who produced for Quincy Jones, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson) debutes, together with the Disco Dandies, at High Fashion Music, featuring the remix of his most famous track “Inside Your Love” (2 People)”.

Originally featured on his album “Inside Is Love”, now in a complete NU Disco rework by the illustrious Disco Dandies!

The a-side gives you the ‘full treatment”, Nu Disco at it’s best, while on the b-side the dub-skills of the Disco Dandies are featured, together with the radio-edit.

Dimitri from Paris & DJ Rocca on Toy Tonics! Some might wonder, other will understand. The reason: Toy Tonics records is made by the same guys who used to run the (currently sleeping) indie disco label GOMMA. And Dimitri & Rocca did a couple of EPs on Gomma some years ago. Now it's 2019 and some of their older works sound still/again so fresh that it made sense to release them again on Toy Tonics. That's why you get this package. Three jams perfectly for the summer: The ultra 1990ies house remix for Italian duo Hard Ton. Then their all time disco superjam Ero Disco Theme and the long time sold out and currently highly looked for Ray Mang remix of Dimitri's collabo with band Los Amigos Invisibles. That 'Glad to know you' version goes for a lot of $$$ on Discogs, so why not put it out again. Have fun with Dimitri & Rocca. Old school house and disco dream team.

Both notable collectors of funk, soul, and disco from around the world, DT & DC deliver infectious versions of rare and classic dancefloor cuts.

“Caribbean Son” takes an 80s cumbia classic and transforms it into a daytime italo-balearic groove while the A2, “Kuniko’s TV”, brings the party to the next level with a left field Japanese take on a Queen stomper.

“Negra Caja” leads the B side with an acid filled South American hybrid remake of a house anthem. B2 finishes the release with a clean, floor filling edit of a rare cover version of GB disco.

It is very difficult to present David Duriez without writing an encyclopedic tome as its influence on the House music in France was decisive. Since its inception in 1992, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, mainly on vinyls on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Under the Counter, Stickman, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest artists (think Moby, Dj Sneak, Gemini, DJ Hell, Llorca, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Jori Hulkkonen, Ralph Lawson, Random Factor, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul with Phil Weeks, Freak n'Chic with Dan Ghenacia (from Apollonia) or Rz Muzik. At a time when David had federated online the cream of the House producers via a forum (far and long before social networks), Ivan Smagghe had nicknamed him "the producer of the producers." , A true House Music activist,

But most of all David Duriez is a devastating dancefloor DJ, He did several tours around the world and played in some of the biggest clubs in the world between 1995 and 2010. Truly one of the most important players in the French electro scene, David is back on tracks after a few years hyatus. But don't call it a comeback because he has never really gone awol, he has been watching the scene and now he's back in the studio. The landmark hundredth single on Phantasy, Erol Alkan’s ‘Automatic’ accompanied with two remixes that further take the London DJ and producer’s psychedelic club vision in distinct directions. The original 12" pressing, limited to 100 and hand-numbered, sold out in less than an hour.

Palms Trax builds on the sensual reverie of Alkan’s production with an electrifying rework full of touches both French and personal. Throwing out a gloriously chic bassline, the Berlin-based producer sprinkles carefully considered sweeps, stabs and filters on a trip to timeless house euphoria.

Mirroring the first ever artist to release on Phantasy in 2007 where Alkan remixed 'Engine', LA Priest proves a perfect candidate to reconstruct the label’s centenary single, a task he approaches with typically esoteric nous. Coaxing a heavenly aura from the original’s glorious loops, Sam Eastgate’s collection of reengineered and self-made analogue equipment soon progresses to melt Automatic’s rhythm into sticky cosmic bliss.

Back by popular demand "Take A Chance" by Mr. Flagio, one of the most classic Italo-Disco anthems, now including original versions and Italoconnection reworks.

Desire is an electronic music band from Montreal and Portland, Oregon. Their debut album, II, was originally released in June 2009 on the Italians Do It Better label. The band is made up of vocalist Megan Louise, producer Johnny Jewel (also a member of the IDIB bands Chromatics and Glass Candy) and Nat Walker (also a member of Chromatics) on synthesizer and drums.

Disco Fruit offers up a suitably juicy re-edits, tasty revisions and sun-ripened reworks. As you'd expect, there's plenty to get your teeth into from start to finish. Hotmood, Mitiko and Loshmi offers their already well-known unique style for reworks from '70s and '80s blended in Nu Disco music. The last one by Brian SNR is original song called 'Wanna Kiss You'. Great Nu Disco track, sang and played by Brian himself.

Like any good party, there's an after-party. What, you didn't think we'd keep it going? C'mon.

We began this one with Jacques Renault's Sky Islands, a full-length album that sought to achieve euphoric disco delight within a wonky conceptual framework; it's his late-night live DJ sets in spirit, organized like a 70s or 80s vinyl megamix or public-access radio program, but comprised solely of a couple dozen originals he crafted in the studio, most of them being wrapped up during the summer and fall of last year.

Of course, we realized delivering such an experience, where no “song” is more than about 90 seconds, would do nothing for the working DJ, unless the working DJ is looking to nod off for thirty or take an extended bathroom break. Thus, Coast to Coast, a 12-inch that collects seven of the songs from the LP—in full- length, special-disco-mix, club-ready form.

This EP will be followed by more long-form cuts, as well as additional goodies. There will be an after-party for the after-party.

Best Record Italy came out with another obscure italian disco record from 1977. This 12" release contais three solid dancefloor funky disco burners like 'Body, Body Love' (unreleased Disco Version) and on the B side : 'Please Touch Me' and 'Sleep' from the Billy Woost Album.

New York City record label, Studio 54 Music, has dropped their debut original produced single, 'Heart To The Ocean’, set to release on October 2nd following their critically acclaimed first release, Night Magic Volume I, a 4 track compilation EP of classic Studio 54 disco anthems, reimagined by some of New York’s finest players in the modern disco scene.

The new release is a marriage of various generations of New York; produced by critically acclaimed Manhattan producer, Greg Cohen, features 20 year old Long Island bred rising star and prospect vocalist, Gabi Sklar, and is all under the umbrella of the 2020 disco music authenticator, Studio 54 Music. The track was mixed by Belgian dance music legend, Kris Vanderheyden, who added the final touches and thump to the record.

As a leading producer pushing the disco sound into the modern dance scene, Greg Cohen has made waves in the music scene as DJ Cassidy’s production partner, producing hits in collaboration with CHIC’s Nile Rogers on tracks ‘Kill The Lights’ and ‘Calling All Hearts’ featuring Robin Thicke, Jesse James, and members of Earth Wind & Fire. His music has been featured and synced on Netflix’s ‘The Get Down’, HBO’s ‘Vinyl’, and ‘Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland’. Kris Vanderhayeden is known as a pioneer in the Belgian electronic music scene, and also has produced number one hits for Janet Jackson and Blondie, to name a couple.

As disco continues to stand at the forefront of today’s pop culture with releases by Daft Punk, Dua Lipa, and DOJA Cat, ‘Heart To The Ocean’ continues to feed the modern disco trend, and is a testament to Studio 54’s Mission in 2020: to take the culture and antics of the famed disco club that helped push the culture, and embody it into it he modern disco sound.

The track is tied smoothly together with Sklar’s sultry voice that is resembling but unique to Lana Del Ray, who she credits as a key influence with other female pop singers like Dua Lipa, who she describes as ‘bad ass women’ that drive her, and help inspire her inner edginess and sexiness with a heavy emphasis on confidence.

Be on the lookout for future Studio 54 Music releases that will further celebrate the sound in many forms from pop to indie dance to more underground leaning dance music. Studio’s debut release, Night Magic Vol. I will also be released on limited edition gold vinyl in mid-October.

The Disco imprint also plans to launch itself as a lifestyle brand with a new website, line of merchandise, and is excited to announce the Studio 54 Night Magic exhibition at Brooklyn Museum is reopened until mid-November after getting postponed from Covid-19.

With a pioneering catalogue that boasts releases from artists such as Kenny Dope, Frankie Bones & Lennie Dee, Joey Negro and Joey Beltram, Nu Groove records was one of the key labels in establishing the NYC house sound. However, it was the brothers Rhano and Rheji Burrell who were by far the most prolific to release on Nu Groove. The Utopia Project is another alias from producer and creative genius Rheji, whose four track EP ‘Intuition’ makes the latest release on the revamped Nu Groove imprint. A sublime house package spread over four unique tracks, ‘Intuition’ kicks off with joyous, 1980s inspired ‘A Better Day’, followed by the slick groove of ‘You Don’t Know What To Do’. On the flip we’re greeted with the boogie-filled ‘With You (Anytime, Anyplace)’, before Rheji takes us underground for closing track ‘La La Land’, a guaranteed dancefloor mover. The EP revives rare and hidden 70s Turkish disco, folk and psych classics, blending the golden era sound of Anadolu Pop with nu-disco style edits.

Romanian two-piece Karpov not Kasparov have dropped their new EP ‘Memory’, out 18th June on Disco Halal.

A five-track release, ‘Memory’ opens with the sunkissed, synth-driven vibes of ‘Except For Bears’, ensuring the EP commences with some cosmic disco energy. Next up is the hypnotic, computerised sounds of ‘Fool’s Mate’ and otherworldly synth oddity ‘Les Pions Sont l'Âme du Jeu’, before the title track and recent single ‘Memory’ sees the Bucharest duo delve into psychedelia-laced outsider pop territories. Things are then closed out with an instrumental of the same track.

Valeriu Borcos and Eduard Gabia aka Karpov not Kasparov describe what they do as ‘a musical game of chess between synthesizer and drums’. As well as releasing music on the likes of Fleeting Wax, Karakter Records and Local Records, the Romanian duo also incorporate an analogue visual artist and contemporary dancers into their live performances, resulting in a theatrical show and a kind of real-time soundtrack to the action around them.

Encompassing elements of downtempo, new-wave and alternative pop, stitched together with a leftfield dancefloor throb, the Disco Halal back-catalogue, filled with efforts from the likes of Polocorp, Budakid and Moscoman himself, has seen the imprint rapidly emerging from the once-overlooked nightlife and club scene of Tel Aviv into the worldwide spectrum.

Larry and Bell are two musos from the east and west of the Atlantic, who met on a scuba trip in Belize in '99. Larry plays Bongos, Bell is on the organic sampler and echo pedal, and a local cast of musicians backed them up on Guitar, Double Bass, and Kick Drum. After a few Rum Daiquiris and many spliff, these are the sessions whittled down to strictly the best of hits.

Fuga Ronto's second release Greatest Treasure is a musical journey exploring different kinds of territories by blending elements of synth funk, dub, fusion, new wave and ambient with household noises, reverb vocals and quotes from movies to adventure games. Out of playful recording sessions the Zurich duo Schweizer and Shiller created songs with track names that read like movie titles. The treasure quest begins with a tongue-in-cheek intro before the title track kicks in. It’s all about exotic boogie with adventurous lyrics and voodoo magic. The rhythm guitar, percussion and multilingual chanting driven single „Falling Star“, lures even unathletic feet onto the dancefloor. "Columbo De Domingo“, a rolling instrumental based on a four chord sequence creates an illusional staircase moment. The tracks on the B-side guide towards slower and dreamier attempts. "Mirror To Water" builds on swaying synth pads that lead up to a laid-back song with breathy male and female vocals over a shuffling drum beat. It’s epilogue "Wobble In The Pool" sticks to the mood and takes the sounds further into dubby lands. The closing chapter "Mystery Of Zambio" is a delightful two- parter. Nostalgic melodies take the lead at first to be replaced by chords and a choir in the second part, until they dance away into the fade-out. Maybe a hint for a continuation of the story? One would hope so.

Version Galore is a newly found label, deeply rooted in the music culture. No clues He the music legend from Baltimore, one of the most versatile and technically-gifted DJs on the scene, a master of CDJs, who singlehandedly restored public's interest in gospel music with his ultimate dance bomb "Work It Out". Still Hesitant Ok we'll help you - it's the one and only Karizma!

A-side is a pure fire-starter! One of those tunes that works perfectly in any surrounding, location, context, club. Here Karizma flips a version of a certain African-American work song, which catchy refrain just seem to resonate with anyone, while the rough dirty beats with the cheeky start/pause technique destroy the dance floor! Essential party tool!

On B-Side the maestro travels in time to grace us with a retro-futuristic workout on the edge of jazz-fusion / prog-rock & Italo-disco. "In Spite Of" is a peculiar, yet beautiful combination of hypnotic chord progressions, step-sequenced synthetic bass-lines, the virtuoso dialogue of electric guitar and electric violin (yes), spiced up with African percussion and forceful beats, all working together in harmony in accordance with the intricate time signature of the song! That's Karizma at his most Balearic!

Recently, legendary American dance producer Arthur Baker discovered in his storage, 2 cuts on 1/4” tape ’Reachin’ & ‘Good Good Lovin’ he recorded in 1979 that for some insane reason have never seen the light of day. He asked Hifi Sean if he would be interested in doing something with them. Within one play Hifi was blown away and brought on board Yam Who? and they quickly got to work resurrecting these soulful disco anthems.

The main cut featured here ‘Reachin’, with Minnie Gardners fierce vocals (think Loleatta Holloway), just needed some modern day dance floor energy. Salvaging the useable sections of the tape that were not worn through time and 2 weeks later they bring this percussive disco monster back to life. ‘Good Good Lovin’ complements the A Side nicely - less bump but more room to groove. It’s a stone cold classic with glorious instrumentation courtesy of Arthur & Co.

Philly’s DJ JAZZY JEFF debuts on TERRY HUNTER’S MIRROR BALL RECORDINGS with the funky soul & disco drenched 7 inch “EVIL". The release is an amazing flip of EARTH WIND & FIRE’S 1973 release with JEFF’S swinging drums & piano melodies incorporated. Major support from dozens of deejays!

This release is an LP and it's individually 300 hand-numbered limited edition. The first 100 copies are pressed on WHITE vinyls (AR019).

Archeo Recordings is a reissue record label that regenerates old, lost, obscure and forgotten rare gems of mostly Italian music but also all over the world of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
All releases are licensed, audio tracks remastered in their original form and sleeves recreated for today but all based on the original images.
Archeo would like to make the music available to a wider audience of collectors, DJs, music lovers of a forgotten time.
All releases are hand-numbered limited edition vinyl. The first copies of each release are pressed in coloured vinyls.

Swinging back from the disco heavens, London based Tropical Disco Records return for their fifteen volume, a milestone record, spawned from label founders Moodena and Sartorial, and joined by two newcomers.

Moodena introduces the record, having conjured a piece exclaiming exactly what the title tells us - “Deep Fried Funk”. It’s a consistent theme in Moodena’s work, a functional formula, yet one that’s laced with so much moody flow, exuberant live instrumentation and expert curation, his work alone has made the TD series unmissable.

Next up label partner Sartorial stylishly takes control of proceedings with “Together”. Installing a lush lick of brass, timeless vocals bring together a joyful soiree of vibrant, swish sonic curios.

On the flip, Mexican artist, Monsieur Van Pratt’s “Clavs & Trumpets” presents a purposeful increase in pace on the record. Vintage 70’s disco stabs swirl and dive beneath, you guessed it - clavs, and the most seductive, ever evolving trumpet workout.

Rounding off the record is Colombian duo Vagabundo Club Social, who bring vibrant, West African infused boogie. “Encanto Nigeriano” is all about bouncy drums, underpinned by the most effortlessly tight bass and fervent vocals, certain to lubricate any dancer with maximum effect. It’s a classy round off from a label going from strength to strength.

Cinthie marks a milestone in her career this June with her debut album ‘Skylines – City Lights’ on Aus Music. Berlin’s Cinthie has grown to become one of the most respected purveyors of house music, both as a DJ and producer, in Europe and across the globe over the past few years. Through the numerous imprints she’s headed up, her productions, her soul-infused DJ sets and even her own record store Cinthie has become a driving force in the contemporary electronic music scene. Here we see the culmination of Cinthie’s career, which spans more than two decades, pieced together to make up her debut long player, a tribute to all the things that have inspired her over the years, from Chicago House to New York Garage, European rave, Nu-Disco and years of experience behind the booth and keeping dance floor’s moving. Across the project tracks like ‘Houze Muzik’, ‘Concentrate’, ‘Morning In Melbourne’ and ‘Bassline ‘shine a light on Cinthie’s true love, authentic, soul drenched and raw House music. ‘2k Garage’, as the name would suggest, also nods to her love of the UK Garage sound and cuts like ‘City Lights’ and ‘No One Can Take You From Me’ lean towards Disco influences old and new. Further additions see Cinthie exploring new territories for the album format, experimenting with a downtempo aesthetic on opening track ‘Skylines’, textural electronica on ‘Flashback’ and Acid House nostalgia on ‘Calling’ and ‘Horizon’. ‘Skylines – City Lights’ beautifully showcases the life and inherent passion for electronic music Cinthie has, all perfectly weaved together across twelve compositions.

Since slipping out on Leng last year, Paul ‘Mudd’ Murphy’s first collaboration with singer/songwriter David Harks, ‘Susta’, has become a much-played modern Balearic classic, with DJs and listeners alike responding to the track’s attractive blend of sun-kissed nu-disco instrumentation, warming melodies and deliciously evocative lead vocals from Jaanika Leino AKA JaneLy. Now the track returns for 2021 in the shape of two superb new remixes from Chicagoan deep house legend Ron Trent, who four years ago delivered similarly ear-catching revisions of Mudd and Pollard’s ‘Far Away’ as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for Murphy’s Claremont 56 label.



As you’d expect given Trent’s impeccable track record over the last three decades, both revisions are stunning. He begins by eking every last ounce of soul from Leino’s brilliant vocal on a remix that’s warming, deep and luscious. Combining elements of Murphy and Harks’ colourful, synth-heavy original mix – including the lusciously tactile bassline and boogie-style synth flourishes – with his own yearning chords, hand percussion sounds and a shuffling, samba-tinged house beat, Trent re-imagines ‘Susta’ as a future vocal deep house classic. Melodious, musically intricate, infectious and summery, it’s a remix for the ages. It comes accompanied by a Dub Mix that successfully shows off the intricacy of Trent’s production and additional instrumentation while keeping both eyes firmly on the dancefloor. Beginning with effects-laden synth sounds reminiscent of the mid-‘80s proto-house classics by Paul Simpson, Winston Jones and Boyd Jarvis, the mix sees Trent skilfully add selected snippets of Leino’s lead vocal to a backing track rich in delay-laden synthesizer sounds, reverb-rich chords, echoing percussion hits and chords so warming they feel like a late-night, loved-up bear hug for your ears. Like the A-side vocal version, Trent’s dub is breath-taking and spine-tingling in equal measure.
