Rabo & Snob explore the forgotten jams from the outer limits of their city Tel Aviv's music scene in the 1980's on this super fine EP.

While the sounds of new wave and synth wave mainly dominated in the clubs of the city at that time, some artists also experimented with Italo music.

On this EP Rabo & Snob pay tribute to those early pioneers of a new and different Disco-inspired electronic sound, and sprinkle some of their own magic dust upon it to make it both interesting and fresh.

Brazilian-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Terr makes her Phantasy debut
with the sensational single, ‘Tale of Devotion’.

Arguably one of the catchiest moments in Phantasy’s musical history, Terr
delivers a wide-eyed vision of sincere synth pop pleasure, backed by a sublime
Prins Thomas Diskomiks.

Undoubtedly indebted to the visionary modulations of Giorgio Moroder, Phil
Oakey and Wendy Carlos, ‘Tale of Devotion’ flawlessly captures the romance,
ecstasy and opportunity throbbing at the heart of dancefloors for the past fifty
years. No mere nostalgia trip, Terr delivers a soaring vocal performance that
proves to be the warm, ambiguous heart of the track, driven by bubbling, cosmic
electronics and flashes of orchestral melodrama.

Prins Thomas establishes a contrasting groove for the latest in his beloved
legacy of ‘Discomiks’ reworks. Somewhat dialling in the conscious hi-NRG of the
original production, the Norwegian maestro’s undulating, percussive edit places
Terr’s wistful vocal journey centre stage, while branches of halcyon disco
blossom around her.

Not a lot is known about Eintopf or his disco but he steps up here with four classy edits for the first release on Juanpot Music.

It really feels like we (aka Mad Mats & Tooli) have been around way longer than 5 1/2 years with Local Talk, but it's really true what they say, time flies when you're having fun! From what started as a somewhat simple and almost primitive urge to create a small house imprint has now grown into a much bigger affair.We really tried hard to keep the label from getting stuck in any genre (remember 90s house) and to always keep the Local Talk relevant, curious, diverse and with a healthy dose of underground mentality. From our very first release with Bassfort's excellent 'Moon Shadow' in the Summer of 2011, we had a crystal clear vision of what Local Talk should represent...House music in any way, shape or form! Over the years we released soulful, Disco, jack, afro, vocal, deep, Jazz, tech, latin, old school, acid, UK, Berlin, New Jersey, Detroit and of course Chicago inspired house music. If it made us bump...we put it out! This brings us up to today and about +80 releases later. We thought about how we best could sum up these first 5 1/2 years and immediately the image of Blaze's classic album '25 Years Later' popped up.
Besides the fact that it's an amazing album cover it also a good representation when different musical genres fuse together. It's not strictly a house album but just as well a r&b, reggae and soul album. This fusion and variation of house sounds is something that we've tried to capture on our '5 1/2 Years Later' compilation, split into two parts.On part 2 you'll find a high energy disco rub from Parisian S3A, a truly deep and soulful vocal jam from Boddhi Satva & Sly Johnson, a deep UK garage production from SMBD (aka Simbad), a dark and electronic affair from Toto Chiavetta (Yoruba) and finally a musical acid number with that magical Bristol touch from newcomer Marcel Lune. All in all we think we got most angles covered and hopefully this album will make you spread that chalk on the dance floor and get down...Local Talk style!

the fledgling 803 Crystal Grooves imprint, a platform solely designed for the release of the Berliner’s own material
and launched in 2018.

Melbourne digger and edit master Hysteric joins the Pleasure of Love fam with this 4 track EP, Pleasure of Edits 08: Kitchen Appliances. With releases on Public Possession, Lisbon’s Ostra Discos, Centre Neptune, and his own italo influenced Mothball record label, Hysteric delivers an adventurous Pleasure of Love 12 Inch that continues to reward on repeated listens. 'Chrome Plated Broiler' kicks things off and lives up to the name, a bouncy late 80s new beat dance floor heater. Another highlight is 'Automatic Can Opener,' a post-disco tinged, xylophone led groover that highlights a cheeky vocal re-sampling bit to great effect. Hysteric and Pleasure of Love make for a good pairing on this cosmic edit twelve.

We’re happy to present our limited Record Store Day 2021 12" release. The exclusive Split-EP by Mano le Tough & DJ Koze breathes new life into the Pampa Records discography. While on the A side Mano le Tough delivers a trippy modern house cut, Koze makes things raw and dirty on the flip with some vocal assistance from his release mate Mano.

20/20 Vision and Crazy P continue their long and fruitful relationship with a fourth volume of carefully curated and super-fresh new cuts as part of this fine ongoing series.

Scandi-disco don Ray Man opens up with typically lush cosmic melodies and loose-limed nu-disco beats with more than a hint of funk.

Tigerbalm then heads into a tropical oasis with 'Cosmic Union' (feat Joy Tyson) which has Afro rhythms and steamy vocals bringing the heat. Ruf Dug shows his multi-genre chops again with 'Vape Quarter Rhythm' which is part proto-house cut and part dreamy Italo bliss out with rave whistles and hands-in-the-air chords.

Ibiza's Tuccillo closes out with one of his signature Balearic gems in 'Siroco', which is as breezy and carefree as cocktails by the sea at sundown.

We're told that the Hot Pot label has been specially resurrected to put out these jams from the one and only former Slum Village DJ, Mahogany Music artist, hip-hop head and house don that is Dez Andres. They are some of the edits and reworks he has been playing out on the circuit in his Detroit hometown and they get pressed up nice and loud here on fresh wax. First up he reworks a stone-cold classic with a distinctive Latin house twang while on the flip, his signature boom-bap drum work defines another killer groove. Super stuff as ever from the man.

Better known as one half of the Stavroz quartet, Pieter De Meester and Maxim Helincks turn up on A Tribe Called Kotori with their self-titled third studio effort as Shady, following up to "Your Skin" EP on Beat & Path last year. Grinding a wide set of influences through oddball, genre-bending compositions, the pair has been carving out its own wonky, cross-curricular sound grammar away from normative restrictions and creative-hindering behaviourism - like the weird brainchild to Soulwax, Nicolas Jaar and Connan Mockasin.

"Can I Be Yours" gets the ball rolling on a spectral pop tip, blending together the vaporous spook of ultra-processed riffs with mischievous drum play and hypnotically smooth-tongued vocals dissolving in rippling delays. A further nocturnal affair, "Cruisin" goes a more sensuous, electro-friendly route, beaconed with hints of washed-out folk and cosmo-ambient spaciousness. The Cali vibes meet spoken Brit post-punk motif'd (think Baxter Dury out for a quick surf session with the Beach Boys) "Sun" rounds off the ride on a catchy Mod-like note, merging to perfection the swinging London's debonair charm with that of the west coast's typical carefreeness of being. That's ocean-spray bottled in a tune.

It’s where the magic happens, an evening without inhibitions, where you dance without thinking. Musically it's a mix of all forms of disco and house as represented here.

This bumper collection features five exclusive new tunes. Daisybelle & Tasty Lopez's 'Starlight' (Future Disco Ballroom Dub) has a classic disco feel from the two first ladies of the green. Italoconnection - 'All Over' (Future Disco Edit) brings an eighties vibe that reminds of Ibiza venue Pikes, whilst the mysterious Clive From Accounts 'You Understand' impresses with its soaring strings and house bassline. The final two exclusives are Charlie Hepworth's 'It's Satisfaction' with its full thrill house drums and acid flashes, and Boys Shorts's 'Suburban Love Affair' (Brian Ring Remix), which sounds like summer on the shores of Los Angeles in 1989.

Elsewhere is the simple but effective future disco of Bondax, a Brazilian via French disco cut from PPJ, and exciting and intricate grooves from the trio of Breakbot, Irfane & Yuksek. There is euphoric 90s house from Saison, challenging yet reassuring vocal work from the legendary Roisin Murphy as remixed to perfection by the wizard that is The Reflex and much more besides.

Future Disco: Mirror Ball Motel is a wide-angle view of a perfect dance floor, all served up with that famously characterful and vibrant Future Disco style.

Label head-honcho Noema is back and delivers a stunning new track called 'Twilight'.The perfectly composed remixes by Acid Pauli and O/Y rounds up this wonderful 12" release.
The original track on this EP 'Twilight' conjurs with a deeply sensual and hypnotic sound, featuring earthy percussion and soothing vocals. Laid back but still club focused, this is enchanting modern club music at its very best.
Second on the release is Acid Pauli's remix which is a stripped down version of the original, letting go of the vocal to draw focus on the building tension of the backing track and its moody atmosphere. Closing the EP is the O/Y remix which has a raised tempo and a juddering synth melody that compliments the dubby stabs and gentle shuffle of the percussion. Trippy with a poignant breakdown, this emotive version is tailor made for club sound systems.

Mona Musique is the imprint from Nick V, curator and resident DJ behind longstanding night Mona. First and foremost the vinyl-only label is an embodiment of the Parisian parties that have been bringing together Voguers, Waackers and club dancers for more than a decade.

Calling once again on the production skills of Hugo LX - who featured on Mona Musique's debut release - 'NY Collage' reminds us why he is a firm favourite with label boss Nick V. A standout soulful bassline and trademark Hugo LX drum beat, makes this a sophisticated choice to lift up the dancefloor.

Over on the B side is a remix from man of the moment Kaytronik. The DJ/producer veteran, also known as Karizma, has reworked the track to almost beyond recognition. Deep and dreamy, a new bassline gives it that raw kick, evocative of London in the later hours of the night.

Closing off the EP is a remix of 'Drifting Away', Hugo LX's aforementioned Mona Musique debut. Crafted by Ambrose, the production head behind releases on late 90s House labels Kif SA and Basenotic, he is also the imprint's studio engineer. A fan of the Kenlou/MAW era, Ambrose's rework remains true to the deepness of the original cut, but mixes things up with a tougher, harder-hitting edge and wonky keys.

Purple Disco Machine unveils sophomore album ‘Exotica’ in all of its disco glory.

With the release of his debut LP ‘Soulmatic’ released in 2017 via Sweat It Out, Purple Disco Machine gave us the first glimpse of what we could come to expect from the now world renowned producer. Responsible for a multitude of hit singles from the club world including ‘My House’, with the debut LP also birthing the massive successes of ‘Devil In Me’, and ‘Body Funk’.

Now the formidable producer offers a more intimate side to his artistry, inviting us into the world of his sophomore album ‘Exotica’. The word 'classic' gets thrown around a lot these days, often abused and attached to things that don't deserve the tag.
I think we can all agree that an outfit like Earth, Wind & Fire are truly deserving of such an accolade, since their first tentative steps in the early 1970's as an outfit the Chicago, IL pioneers have made themselves a force to be reckoned with and have sold over 90,000,000 units worldwide! Fusing together Jazz, Funk, Soul, African and Brazilian sounds EWF have been at the top of their game for decades, seeing them inducted into the legendary 'rock n roll hall of fame' at the turn of the millennium. Respect due. On this special, legit 12" reissue we are treated to 2 stellar reworkings by one of Disco and modern dance music's most respected names - Danny Krivit. Danny's tenure in dance music has almost been as long as EWF's themselves so it makes sense that he's on deck to breathe some dancefloor magic into their cult classics 'Brazilian Rhyme' and 'Runnin'. Both tracks are massive club anthems with them being generously sampled over the years and featuring in the playlists of too numerous to mention DJ's and selectors.
