Oskar Offermann - Frankfurt-born DJ, producer and label owner based in Berlin - has been around the international House scene for the past seven years now. After having several releases on his own (WHITE, Rimini) as well as befriended labels (Aim, Mule), his album debut is soon to come out - the second long player released by WHITE along Edward's recent 'Teupitz.' The album entitled 'Do Pilots still Dream of Flying' feels like a consequence of his musical work so far - without overly leaning itself too much on already known standards. The album surprises with its ambition towards increased musicality, and presents itself as an homage to what potentially lies behind the horizon - not as a wrap-up of the past. Melodies and vocals instead of patterns and structures: Oskar has deliberately taken off his Deep-House glasses and tried to work production-wise more along the lines of traditional song-writing. Why Because it just felt right. Contentment and calmness have taken over the initial excitement and ecstasy - personally as well as professionally. By the words of Oskar he has 'finally arrived in his profession as a DJ and producer.'

The My Favorite Robot label is happy to announce the release of their next full-length album from an artist that has been close to the label for some time. The inimitable Tim Paris has had his own unique voice in the underground scene of his hometown in Paris for years, with highly influential labels like Items&Things, Kompakt, Pets Recordings and many others coming calling for his work. Also part of It's A Fine Line with Ivan Smagghe and boss of the Marketing Music label, Paris has proved himself an adept producer of dancefloor tracks in the past (and a highly sought after remixer, reworking artists including Silicone Soul, Tiga, and The xx) but for his hotly anticipated debut LP, he takes it to the next level and crafts a over album full of songs.

Dancers features plenty of exciting collaborations with artists from an array of musical backgrounds, including Georg Levin, half of Wahoo with Dixon and a BBE and Sonar Kollektiv associate, Parallel Dance Ensemble's vocalist Coco Solid, Sex Judas - a mysterious but frequent collaborator with Tim, and Ben Shemie from fast rising Canadian band The Suuns as well as Forrest. Together they have crafted a standout album that joins the dots between indie dance, post punk, electro and house music.

Captivating opener 'Golden ratio' sets the tone for the album with plenty of raw guitar licks and live sounding drums. Levin's vocals help the track to soar out of its rugged indie framework before 'Rain' ups the ante once more with some tobacco stained New Wave influences, dubby pads and and kinetic drum work. It's an enthralling start to proceedings that takes you many different places and does so in style.
The excellent 'Outback, Stones and Vinyl' then sets a more downtempo mood helping to ensure there is a coherent narrative throughout. Plenty of analogue machines and real instruments help colour in the slowed track and the result is a slow and mutant indie licked Italo track with a very real hedonistic spirit. Elsewhere tracks like 'Minreich' sound like modern Kraut reworks, whilst 'Extreme Nails' is a more peak time and progressive number that twists and turns for its duration... wherever you look there are musical gems hidden away, all helping to make this record arresting and rewarding experience.

As a listening experience this album is excellent - far more than just a collection of tracks it has suitable peaks and troughs along the way to ensure you really feel like you are going somewhere. Moreover, its not just tempos that change, but style sand genres too, from the indie leaning stuff to the more overtly electronic fair, Dancers is an album that very much sticks to Paris' own unique and hybridised agenda, excelling as a result.

Rebellious lover of an ageless disco, L'Impératrice returns from a long journey. With her rhythmic voice and soft, wave-like, inflections, she has come back to tell us the tale of a sonata. In a sensual and continuous glide, the Sonate Pacifique EP offers a smooth transition from the first tracks, candid and young, towards more cinematographic grounds.

The production is perfect. Every instrument is crystal clear and spreads lush and wide like a junkie with a needle in his arm . The dark chugging vocals build and soar in total harmony with the bubbling disco not disco soundscape. A total masterpiece.

Trouble has more percussive and acidic synth disco feel with a great lo-fi intro then the beautiful vocal bursts through to balance the sharp with silky soft perfectly. The track is choc-full of soulful boogie licks and sprinkles of pop sensibility. By the 3 minute mark I’m jumping about the house in my underpants like some high school twat from an 80's John Hughes film. Mega jam

It is Hot in Berlin and we are ready to release our annual Summer compilation - Deep Love 3'. As with the previous editions this label Compilation features exclusive tracks Only! One exception is the great Alfa Romero track that was released earlier this year on their new imprint - Alfa Romero Recordings' we thought this masterpiece deserved a proper vinyl release so decided to take it on here as well. To accompany the CD release this 12'' features 3 new and exclusive tracks selected for the mix, from New York's Fred P (a.k.a Black Jazz Consortium), Amsterdam's Juju & Jordash, and Detroits' Big Strick. Each track contributes its own special element to the equation, helping define the sound of Steffi's Panorama Bar DJ sets.
The technoid-Chicago sound of Fred P's 'Project 05' stands out beautifully, creating a melancholic and undulating mood with its pulsing bassline, smooth flowing pads and surprising non-linear arrangement. Here we find the producer, often aligned with Jus' Ed's Underground Quality crew, bridging the gap between classic US house and more modern, edgy club tracks.
A charismatic hardware-loving duo, Juju & Jordash have really come into their own in the last few years, with 2012's 'Techno Primitivism' LP solidifying their warm live-jam aesthetic. 'A Stab In The Dark' is a bubbling, acidic, freeform jam melting House and Disco into a shimmering, positively charged burner.
Steffi's love of the US's electronic legacy is clear, and so it's Detroit native and FXHE artist Big Strick who she picked as another exclusive for the mix. 'Hayday' is a classic string-led cut in the true Motor City tradition. Cool, calm and wonderfully succinct in its use of textural percussion and shuffling, intelligent rhythms, Big Strick guides us down a smokey path into his gorgeously reduced world.

Complimenting the original version, Playout have assembled an all-star cast of remixes to create one of the most essential releases you'll hear this month. Tigersushi's Joakim, New York's Com Truise, and finally it's the turn of the UK's Optimo, creating the perfect warehouse moment in the process.

Bernard Badie who is the creator the undisputed chicago house classic Time Reveals to many also know as I Can Feel It (original released 1994 on Night Club Records and re-released as Mojuba 010) returns to Mojuba after his most recent cooperation with the incomparable Dajae on Bones! We think this special catalog number Mojuba 020 deserves something very special, so the decision was easy after checking Bernards vault again and discovering another pure class chicago house gem! His Bernards Got The Funk 12 inch released way back in 1988 on his own imprint DJB Records as Jackin' Bernard Badie features the tracks Come To Me and My First Love and is a visionary example for Bernards interpretation of chicago house music and a very valuable contribution to whole genre! She Lies are a disco post-punk band from Berlin. They used to live together in an appartment sharing their musical ideas and Inspiration before starting to record their no wave inspired songs. Anni one of the two charismatic girls is on vocals and guitar, while ele, her childhood friend, is on Synths and Samplers together with Michel and Daniel who are also part of the band Rework. Their rythms are deeply maniac, proceeding into synth driven krautwave monsters, adjusted with catchy girl vocals and guitar noise. She Lies first release "Needed you" comes out with an amazing remix of Needed You on the B Side by Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J Fairplay under THE ASPHODELLS, they turned the original into an uptempo and hypnotic track.

A few words by Stefen Bennemann: »I was in loose contact with Aggelos (Dream Weapons) for a few years, watching him from a
distant with great interest. In 2012, he sent me his debut LP on Inner Ear under his Fantastikoi Hxoi moniker and it quickly became my favourite album of the year. When I told him our plans for Holger he sent me some of his more electronic-leaning music. I was instantly captured by the driving, trippy kraut techno songs which show homage to the psychedelic sounds of the 60s and 70s while holding their own in the here and now. 'The Kids Will Take Care of Themselves' sees undulating metallic notes journey across a paranoid, murky beat while the video presents symbolic musings over its title.

'Monogamy' evolves from sparse underwater bleeps and blips and a barely discernable beat into a dense rhythmical clash, throwing primeval frequencies in all directions.

'Shame' is an apt title for a track so heavy with doom, the ominous weight of its layers merging with a wall of clattering percussion to a crescendo of almost unbearable intensity.

'Pilgrimage' plays out as an endless sonic dreamscape in two parts, a melancholy plain that begins again in a slow spiral of dissonance. The video includes spoken word edits, notably Mark Rothko's final public statement, with images depicting a virgin with a painting and an actor with a forgery.

Two years ago The 2 Bears dropped a debut album that re-invigorated a genre and gathered music fans in the open embrace of house music. On October 13th they return with the second installment The Night Is Young, the eagerly awaited follow up released on Southern Fried.

Where debut smash Be Strong was rooted in their love for London, The Night Is Young takes on a more global vision. With a love for their home city still at its heart, the album pulls influences and experiences from across the world of dance music, drawing deeply from their trip to Africa last summer. As part of a project for Brixton based youth magazine Live, the duo played shows in Cape Town and Johannesburg and spent time recording in a studio run by BLKJKS's Tsepang Ramoba. The lead vocals for Son Of The Sun were recorded there with a young singer called Sbusiso and Kwaito legend Senyaka, who also added his vocal to lead single Angel (Touch Me).

Speeding through multiple genres, often condensed into single tracks, The Night Is Young lifts The 2 Bear's famed, eclectic DJ sets to higher realms, shifting the imperative to lose both body and mind distinctly up a gear. 'I love tunes that disguise things,' says Joe. 'A really sweet melody with a really dark sentiment. Money Man is meant to be like that, you can have those glossy reggae records that still say something. We didn't want to just be in that culture of not saying anything, where it's all a fantasy world and everyone just goes and gets f****d up but no one says anything.' It's a stark contrast and one that cleverly moves the full-on party hedonism of their debut forward, without sacrificing any of its unadulterated disco charm. The record undulates, it's like a taster menu; courses of hard house, soft reggae, punchy ragga, piano tear-jerkers, funk and soul, all made crystalline with the typically high level of production and the passion of Raf's voice.

The Lambsbread & Weepers EP, released on August 18th, shows the diversity of TNIY with the aforementioned Money Man, the soulful Get Out + bonus track Which Way.

Dave Hargadon is a Dublin based producer/dj who has been a heavy vinyl collector from a young age, after his teenage years Dave began collecting and growing an array of old and new hardware to begin creating his own musical ideas. Better known as being one half of the production outfit Slowburn, this record sees his first solo release. Influenced by the house sounds from Chicago, Detroit and via The Hague, expect strong melodies and heavy drums - hope you enjoy this first offering...

Glam was the name used by Italian hits producers DFC Team to present their cult record Hell's Party.
Hell's Party also was more than just an inspiration for the international hit The Key The Secret composed by Urban Cookies Collective and DFC team.
For their second Glam's record DFC Team wanted one of their favorite artist of all times: Pete Burns of Dead Or Alive. Pete was really excited by Glam's demo and wrote one of his best songs: this is the story of SEX DRIVE that soon become an hit in 1994. Today, exactly 20 years later, DFC label re-releases SEX DRIVE with four wonderful new remixes, a real hot record that Pete Burns' and GLAM's old and new fans cannot miss.

This is Mister Saturday Night, a party thrown by Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin. With a love of great music and a passion for building community, the Mister works to create an experience that's truly fun and engaging for everyone involved. We find just the right space, install our very own sound system, make it feel like home and present music that we love all night long.

We're starting a record label to release sounds that reflect the spirit of the party. All the music is lovingly picked by Justin and Eamon, and so far all the records are from new Brooklyn-based artists that they've met through the party. The first release is by a young man named Anthony Naples, who - we're sure you'll agree - is outstanding. Passion, musicality, restraint, groove: it's all there. And, crazy factoid, after he was signed, we found out that these were the very first tracks he ever made.

New Yorker Elliot Taub graces this 8th Kinfolk release with 3 trax of varying intesity. 'Do That Dance' is an uptempo melodic bass and synth heavy dancefloor jam. 'Thirteenth Roll in A Bakers Dozen' takes a slower spaced out route. '10 Dollars' conitnues in the same mode but this time with guitar and a super heavy synth line pushing the driving force along and finally Soft Rocks grab a hold of '10 Dollars' and turn it into a John Carpenter-esque electro groover.

Manchester artist Belly is back with his second EP of 2014 released through his new inprint Belly Dance and this time he is joined by East End Soul vocalist Shona Carmen & one half of Asphodells Tiimothy J Fairplay on the remix. The second EP see's Belly up the pace slightly from his inagural release moving slightly away of the slow beat of tracks like Dark Autumn and Farewell and embark on a sligtly more up tempo , swing style bordering on the style of Machine Drum. The first track 'Control' is a hazy club track with strong vocals from both Belly & Shona backed up by drum and bass beats which is followed by vocal heavy space beats in the form of 'Zu' . On the flip side we see the real inpact of Shona Carmen with a clubtrack loaded with summer vibes called 'Painting' . The vocals are soulfull and beautiful with a swing tempo and drum patterns that lift throughout. This is followed by Timothy J Fairplay bringing in his own take on 90's chicago garage music with a banging clubtrack remix of Dark Autumn off of Belly Dance 001.

(EMOTIONAL) ESPECIAL START 2014 WITH PECKHAM'S FINEST BIRD LOVING DUO, PUTTING ON ONE EP PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED REMIXES FOR ROCKET RECORDINGS LABEL MATES GOAT AND TEETH OF THE SEA, PLUS SYNTH-POP LEGENDS BLANCMANGE. Following their acclaimed debut album, Migration, on Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label in 2012, Jamie Paton and Nigel Hoyle (aka Nigel Of Bermondsey) have seemed relatively quiet save for the odd remix here and there. Tucked away deep in their South East London base though, a series of remixes and solo projects have been steadily forming. With new C&A material planned for 2014, plus more to come from Jamie's new solo efforts, as well as Nigel making a long overdue reappearance in Maurice & Charles, now seems the right time to draw a line under their collective work to date. Here then are a collection of unreleased interpretatons, including the sought after vocal remix of psychedlic darlings, in Goat's anthemic Run To Your Mama. This is followed by a late night dub of 80s pop duo Blancmange that mixes strings, guitar and some dub bass with a dose of space echo before bringing Neil Arthur's classicly recognisable refrain shining through. To finish is a remix of Goat's label mates Teeth Of The Sea. FX-soundtrack vocal, bubbling 303 and 808 combine on a proper 3am dub that builds beyond some mere drug-chug.

Gold Fingers is on roll! Not long ago DeejayKul brought the deep and jazzy house element to Gold Fingers. Now it's time for HADE to continue on the house route but take things even deeper.

It's Not Right needs very little introducing, you'll be signing the lyrics straight away, it's a classic sounding as fresh and relevant in this HADE version.

Hardway Bros (otherwise known as Sean Johnston of A Love From Outer Space) returns to Throne of Blood with their second EP. After successfully exploring Belgian New Beat influences on last years 'A/B Music'/'Shorty' release, Sean continues to explore the darker side of vintage electronic tropes with the Sleaze EP.

The EP's opener 'Legato' operates on the interface between electronic body music and early techno, invoking Chris & Cosey, nights at the Dorian Gray, Suicide and Belgian 24 hour Discotheques. Remixer Kasper Bjørke, riding a killer bass line, pushes things deep into late night warehouse rave territory.

On the flipside, 'Thoughts On Modern Living' comes over like a deranged early Murk production and is fashioned for late night basement jams.

Closing out the EP is 'Sleaze' a cover of a 1983 Marc (Almond) and The Mambas B-side and a collaboration featuring Horton Jupiter (They Came From The Stars I Saw Them / DJ Mystic Rock / Puwaba) on vocal duties and Mat Flint (Death In Vegas / Revolver / Deep Cut) providing guitar textures.

Despite being an obsessive record collector for most his life; a globetrotting DJ who's toured the world dozens of times over; a go-to remixer for numerous labels, both high profile and fledgling (DFA, Mute, Permanent Vacation, Warp, Defected); co-owner of several imprints, LPH itself being one of them; and producer behind a handful of house and disco tunes that started trickling out in the mid-aughts, Jacques Renault has managed to never release a true, honest to god EP comprised of originals. That's about to change with Out of Sync, a four- tracker that exemplifies all Renault is, has been, and aspires to become —and that serves as a lead-up to his debut full-length, which will hit shelves next year.

Sync starts with a chunky house jam ('I Like It') built upon loose, gritty drums, a characteristic central to essentially every cut Renault has churned out. The song, co-authored by longtime house auteur Andy Meecham, a.k.a. Emperor Machine, is relatively brief and to-the-point, a forthright ditty that will doubtlessly tear up dancefloors and that acts as a neat intro to what else is contained on this record.

That one's followed by 'Akron,' a woozy, ethereal synth-laden house boogie that evokes moments from Renault's past, namely the days of yore when he was actively producing, as Runaway, with his partner, Marcos Cabral.

The flip begins with 'Make Up,' a driven thumper that's interwoven with acid-y melodies and an industrial, jagged sharpness. Finally, the record closes with 'M.A.N.,' a contemplative cut that shuffles and bumps along, and that manages to feel grounded yet upward-gazing. How appropriate considering the fact that the acronym stands for 'music at night,' which could easily be a slogan for most everything Renault does and has a hand in.

The EP ends gently, albeit with a certain spark, an upswing that implies this most definitely is not the last of what Renault has to unleash into the world. Indeed, these first four tracks represent only the beginning.

CRUE-L mastermind KENJI TAKIMI takes 2010's “FOREST ELECTRIC” into bombastic disco territory as BEING BORINGS. On side B MUSIC FOR DANCERS co-founder & resident THOMAS K makes his debut as ROMEO with an epic remake of “BEACHES OF THE BLACK SEA” complete with fresh vocals & acid. Finally, another Los Angeles luminary, TOP SHELF founder J-DISKO, screws “FATA MORGANA” into a stony, percussive, Promethazine-hazed journey into the night..."

In the heart of Madrid the El Barrio DJs have been one of the biggest GAMM supporters over the last 10 years or so, spinning our gems in various jazz clubs in the spanish capitol.

We're now overly excited to have them onboard GAMM with an absolutely stunning 3 track EP.
The El Barrio guys really know how to twist and rework various tunes into one song and the art of editing have never sounded better than now.

We start with an uplifting blend of soulful Philly r&b over some jazzy Pharaoh Sanders grooves. So soulful it hurts!

Normally we don't go for another D'Angelo rework but 'Here We Pie Again' is something special. Just ask Gilles P and Kevin Beadle who both been spinning this one on their shows.

Last but not least we go for the grand finale with a huge uplifting gospel boogie banger - classic house vocals over some Kurtis Blow disco beats. What more can u ask for

Following on from the Slow It Down & Elijah Collins release comes a new addition to the Retrospective family in the form of Elias Tzikas. Better known for his house music production, Elias has been a global name since 1996 with his numerous productions gaining support from the likes of Osunlade, MAW, Moodyman, Kevin Yost, Joe Claussell, Kerri Chandler & Dimitri From Paris to name a few.
The EP opens with Elias' Hunt Hurt Hearts which is already picking up heat after being dropped a number of clubs in various Retrospective artists sets blending all the boogie elements that have given Retrospective it's reputation plus a driving groove. Following is Still Around that gives a flavor Elias' deep house heritage with it's vocal sample floating on analogue riffs and a weighty bassline.

Ichisan is the moniker of Igor Skafar, a Slovenian photographer releases in 2008 his first solo international 12" on London's Airtight Recordings. 'Global Pillage' and 'Tips & Tricks' were very positively received and accumulated a number of favorable reviews, including a four star review from iDj magazine and praise from many illustrious names in the music industry such as Bjorn Torske, Pete Herbert, Prins Thomas and others...

Ichisan has contributed tracks to Eskimo recording compilations, has releases on Airtight recordings, Solardisco, Rare Wiri and Under The Shade/Jiscomusic; including a remix for the legendary band "Space", which was released on Nang records. Together with Ule Nakova, he has a project named Ichisan&Nakova. Their first album Yugo Tempo was released 2010 on Nang records.

Solid member of the Needwant family Mario Basanov is back with the eagerly awaited 'We Are Child Of Love' - a deep house, disco tinted, emotive masterpiece featuring redubs from Mario himself and a seductively smooth and effortlessly groovy remix from Needwant's newest recruits, The Mekanism.

'We Are Child Of Love' is utterly mesmerizing with it's sultry grooves, deep piano keys and radiant synth structures. A true delivery of smooth, emotive electronica of the highest caliber; exactly what we have come to expect from Mr. Basanov. Mario's dub version hits us with a deep driving bass, progressing into a Balearic ambience with reverbed vocals, fluid warm keys and shimmering synths that provide the perfect soundtrack to a beautiful Ibiza sunset.

Over on the B-side, the Re-dub version steps up the pace and breathes a real fresh and modern tone, with it's grumbling deep chords and dance floor drive. The breakdown explodes into an array of percussions, xylophone keys and rumbling undertones that strike with maximum effect. Fresh from their debut EP 'Can't Believe', The Mekanism round off this killer release by injecting their signature groove into the original. Their lusciously smooth remix oozes pure quality with warm fluid keys and a pitched down vocal for added seduction and a solid dance floor drive.

Get to know a new label from a man who brought Polish music back to the international spotlight.

Transatlantyk is a new project from Zambon, the boss of the famous The Very Polish Cut-Outs, the home of diverse edits of forgotten and obscure tracks from Poland's past.
This new undertaking is devoted to releasing original material from new, exciting producers from all over world.

The first offering in the series showcases a young, promising Polish producer Naphta.
This Red Bull Music Academy alumni is based in Wrockaw and loves weed, video games and Sun Ra's cosmic jazz.
He blends his varied influences with not-that-obvious attitude, creating four slices of heavy exotica house aimed directly at the dancefloor.

All cuts are filled with voodoo drums, rainforest darkness and pure tropical heat. The standout track is 'Age Of Sun', engaging tribal flutes and chimes with irresistible machine groove.

The name of the label is a direct nod toward the works of Witold Gombrowicz. This outstanding Polish writer made himself famous by breaking stagnant rules of life and art, creating modernist novels, dramas and essays which continue to have a long lasting effect on Polish youth. Transatlantyk (Cruise Ship) is a title of one his best novels.

In 1939, just days before the outbreak of the Second World War, he went on a maiden voyage of 'Chrobry' cruise ship to Buenos Aires, and escaped the fate awaiting him in Poland, spending the rest of his life in Argentina.

His works were awash with paradox and absurdity, mixed with a strong sense of cosmopolitism.
Transatlantyk is a label based on a similar ethos, aiming at releasing music that will fill the dancefloors in London, Berlin, Warsaw, New York, Buenos Aires, Shanghai and Kinshasa at the same time.

Roar Groove follows on from the exceptionally eagerly awaited inaugural Body Fusion EP, with the Bugles Of Truth EP that continues The Revenge's sterling association with quality productions.

The EP kicks off with 'Close Encounters Of The Casual'; a natural showcase from the master of ascetic, synthetic raw grooves. The combination of tight drum programming and looped harmonic vocals of 'Tight Circuit Feat. Jesse Rennix', gives an energizing coating across the whole EP. These are analogue-powered club jams, with The Revenge proudly at the helm.

'Cant get you out of my mind'...or at least not Graeme's unification of the bouncy analogue drums beneath 'Oot yer nut' and cherished up-tempo hi hat rhythms of 'MDMF' that sit above eager and somewhat muscular synth rides. Driving drums bring the party to a love song; feeding fizzy melodies through exhales of arpeggios.

Once again, The Revenge consistently manages to twist our knowledge of inspirational house & disco in new exciting directions.

As Hot Sporran he gets to express deeper and darker realms. Xplorer journeys to Detroit Techno with strong flavours of New Romanticism making a unique and wonderful disco sound. LeonXLeon does what it say on the tin. If there is another track out there called Acid Disco I bet you 100 quid this smashes it up and stuffs it in a bin. This is an all out hands in the air, euphoric disco bomb.
