Dj Kaos returns with three massive nuggets. Gold Digger Style.

2016 is shaping to be a fantastic year for Rebirth Records, the 10th Year anniversary and the 100th release...To celebrate this special date the label owner Shield and his right arm Robytek get in the studio to collaborate with two of the most innovative figures of the end of 70s / early 80s. The A side is the The Pyramids with Isabelle Antena, French singer and songwriter, founding member of electro-samba pioneers Antena.

In the 1990s she also led another group, the Powaga Sisters, for three albums between until 2004. Alongside these projects she maintained a solo music career, selling over a million albums and earning musical acclaim across the globe. From Camino Del Sol (1982) to Bossa Super Nova (2010), her cool latin, bossa, jazz and funk vibes have delighted ears and feet worldwide. The Pyramids is something really special, a cosmic and balearic song with a timeless meaning, with the collaboration of Martin Ditcham (Sade's percussionist) for the drum and Paolo Mantini, a real Italian talent, for the bass and chords.

The AA side is NOW, a collaboration with Salvatore Principato (Sal P.) and Dennis Young, known as the vocalist and marimba/percussionist of (for the legendary early 80's NYC band Liquid Liquid) seminal NYC minimalist-funk band Liquid Liquid. The experimental sounding band emerged from New York City's vibrant Downtown scene in 1981, developing their own unique sound which they called big beat, a fusion of irresistible basslines, junkyard percussion and urgent, free-flowing lyrics. The group's successes included club hits such as Cavern (sampled by Grandmaster Flash in the making of White Lines), Bellhead and Optimo in addition to sold-out concerts worldwide. Sal P and Dennis still explore today new ways of writing & performing music. NOW is the experimental way to combine the live drums played by Snacks (the Berlin based duo Rene Corbett & Aljoscha Babel), with the electronic world and the unique musical textures from Sal P and Dennis Young.

D-Pulse trippy album "Consequenced" now got first portion of remixes from band's favorite producers. Ron Basejam of Crazy P delivers a straight-forward disco gem, while Harvey Sutherland goes minimal and atmospheric in his unexpectedly laid back remix. RJ being a one half of Durerstruben sends the original "Waltz on the run" back in 2000's on a summer cruise and D-Pulse's homie Sportloto pours some fuel into the Russian cosmic-disco scene rocket.

Emotional Rescue takes a look towards the dancefloor sounds of Britain underground 80s electronic synth-pop scene for their next release. From Dallas' infamous ecstacy fueled
Starck club to the Le Palace in Paris, it was such music that while not gaining wider pop recognition, become classics of their time and the secret finds for today's DJs.

Baldo's next EP is released on Good Ratio Music, the label run by himself and his buddy Carlo. As far as we remember the Barcelona based producer had always an affinity for dirty drum-machines rhythms and buzzing analog sounds. Baldo can be recognised by his choice of style, a fierce and confident House, pure in intent and effective in execution. And this is exactly what you should expect in this new EP. For the eighth instalment of the label they have the remix coming directly from NYC. The boss of Let's Play House, Jacques Renault has remixed The Change, giving to the track a whole different mind to the track and making a round EP, ready to roll this summer.

Always on the scout for the freshest talent, Dirt Crew Recordings breaks into 2016 bringing together a couple of our more recent discoveries, Loz Goddard & Harry Wolfman for their all new 'Square Lane' EP. Relative newcomer, from Manchester and London respectively, the pair in fact debuted on our label in 2015, on independent tracks 'The Schrew' from Harry as a collaboration with Laurence Guy, and Loz's solo jam 'That Same´Thing'. Straight up vibes on the groove stricken 'Uncle Buck', a no questions asked dance floor weapon and a testament to Loz & Harry's ability to bring together the finest samples, synths, live percussive elements and a whole lot of soul. 'Problem Child', gets a bit sleazier, vocal cuts and swirling keys ease us into a broken beat throw down in the break before thrusting us back to the mercy of the straight up four to the floor swing. On the flip resident Dirt Crew Recordings producers and all round top blokes Brame & Hamo came to the table with a funked out version of 'Uncle Buck', enlisting Brame's brother to jam out the smooth stepping live bass for the remix. Rounding out the pressing 'Neck of the Woods' has a blissed out melodic quality, coasting along with a sunny energy and and just the right amount of cowbell, while the digital only offering, 'Sundays' is soulful and shaking in the deepest sense, those bass licks and key riffs definitely give us the feel of this very special day of the week. Uniting on this EP Loz Goddard & Harry Wolfman are a sign of things to come in for Dirt Crew Recordings. We have a lot of huge plans in store for the year ahead already and look forward to a massive 2016 filled with music.

A1 cut 'Besom' comes out with all guns blazing with a guitar fit for leaping around your bedroom with an old broom, whilst 'Bonzai Sunset' finds the boys in a more reflective, dare we say, tropical mood. For centuries, young wild boars have been denied of their right to gather freely and fall in love.Their military based rituals were designated to reinforce twisted ethical principles in the minds of the followers and were the only social interaction allowed.
A group of young infidels finally stopped fighting the urge and created a new ritual based on dancing, called Lambada.
This spiritual journey awoke the suppressed spirit of the wild boar and revealed the sincerely beautiful nature of this noble animal. Sadly, Lambada soon became known as the forbidden dance and all it's partakers were persecuted.
To this day, Lambada remains an underground ritual and the Legalize Lambada crew is on a quest to revive it by throwing disco parties and pressing undercover vinyl.

DisDat is the new brainchild of New York's infamous underground party, ReSolute. For their first release, they showcase three different sonic interpretations of their iconic warehouse mornings that stretch out far into the afternoon.Leading the release is S.A.M. (of Oscillat and Delpahine notoriety) with the aptly named "Brooklyn Nights" - a driving track made for the dancefloor, with its acid-tinged bassline complimented by S.A.M.'s trademark emotionality. Emmanuelle returns to DEEWEE with an Italo influenced 12' produced by David and Stephen Dewaele of 2manydjs / Soulwax and recorded at DEEWEE studio, Gent. 'L'uomo D'Affari' sees Emmanuelle swich between her native Italian tongue and English advising you to 'not hide behind that suit and tie'. If Tom Tom Club hung with Aphex Twin in the hills of Naples in 1980 they may have arrived here. 'Italove' is pure dancefloor magic. Syncopated rolling synths with Emmanuelle as chanteuse again cutting

One of Paper Disco's biggest tunes of this year has been given the all-star re-rub treatment and it's a full house of dancefloor dynamite.The original has been rocking the boxes of the great and the good since it was out last year on Trash The Wax # 2 and Luke Una Bomber played it last month on 6 the Music MIF special as Manchester's hot tune of the moment as well as Nemone on Electric Ladyland. Leftside Wobble delivers an absolute monster that has been doing some serious damage with the few jocks who have fandangled a copy. Bill Brewster dropped it in his closing Wildlife set and Chris Duckenfield has been pressing the launch button. We're talking a warehouse vibe with an arp riffed bass, plenty of reverb and the filtered, plaintive vocal giving it that emotional depth that all the best house music has. Make no mistake, this is one heavy remix. Florida's King of Disco Sleazy McQueen introduces a rolling bass, congas and some cheeky attitude for a stripped back joint that will smoke the floor. Add the vocal with subtle hypnotics from the original and it's a late night, low ceiling, dry ice moment. Fingerman sticks close to the original but beefs up the drums, ups the off bass and gives it a bit more swing for a mix that applies some crank.
Finally Peza goes deep with a techier version that has a motorkik feel to it. A reverbed snare, nagging acid, congas and bass build the track as it sucks you in to its world of dark disco. It's a head mangler in the best possible sense.

Khruangbin are a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool.
Khruangbin team up with Boogiefuturo, the off shoot label of Bristol based Futureboogie Recordings, with a special collaborative 12" disc featuring remixes from a veritable line up of cutting edge producers. Session Victim, DJ Milo, Maribou State and Vuelo all come correct with re-workings of Khruangbin originals that, collectively, make up for one of the most varied and interesting remix packages of the year.
Pressed on 12" vinyl, hand stamped and including an A4 art illustration insert, with hand drawings from Laura from Khruangbin, this package come as a limited pressing.

Those Secret Squirrels just can't get enough! After a brief period in the woods they are back with even more tracky Disco and proto-House business. Smalltown Supersound is proud to announce the new album from Dan Lissvik (formerly of Studio), the album is a brand new collection of instrumentals made throughout 2015, the year Lissvik became a father for the first time. The title refers to the time he would start his recording sessions after his wife and newborn baby went to bed. Midnight is filled with the Dan Lissvik signature sounds, gentle guitars, laidback bass, dubby disco, lush balearics and sun-drenced psychedelics.

The album was recorded at home with a stripped back setup of an analog graphic equalizer he found at a flea market, a bass guitar and a mic. He worked at night with a thermos of coffee, while his young family slept in the room furthest away from his studio. His process was to press record and let the midnight jams unfurl, resulting in a sound and mood that has shifted since his previous release, Meditation, under the moniker Atelje in January 2015. Ten years ago, Dan Lissvik was instrumental in kicking off the midnoughties Balearic revival alongside his partner in the group Studio, Rasmus Hägg. Both came from the frozen coast of Sweden (rather than Ibiza) and their debut West Coast was hailed as one of 2006's best releases, making Rough Trade's top 10 albums of the year. Their sound was a blissful, effortless, laidback afrobeat-kraut-disco-pop and won a legion of fans.

Though West Coast made Studio internationally acclaimed (they even remixed Kylie Minogue's 2 Hearts') that was the only record they ever made. Lissvik showed little interest in pursing an international DJ career or touring as a band,' preferring to stay in Gothenburg and record. Then, in 2012, six years after West Coast was released, Studio officially broke up with a quick note. For Studio-addicts, Lissvik hinted at a tantalizing stockpile of new material - at one point posting 50 tracks on Soundcloud before taking them down. Then in 2014, he started to release new material, beginning with the limited-edition 300- release run of the Atelje LP Meditations, with the Dan Lissvik Airwalk/Shuvit' 12' to follow via Smalltown Supersound. Now, ten years following the release of West Coast, as the influence of Studio's work reverberates up through a new generation of producers (Jamie xx sampled a beach-blissed loop from it for Girl'), Lissvik's Midnight is set for release.

P.D.D are proud to welcome Dark Matters a new record label and visual project created by Amirali. As an unknown songwriter and producer, Amirali first shot to prominence with his inaugural release on Crosstown Rebels.

He has since toured the globe promoting his particular concoction of avant-garde electronica, techno and house. An extension of his broad musical palette, the label will be running in conjunction with a series of curated parties beginning in October in London.

The Dark Matters record label is a cohesive experience where 'weird' and unusual is encouraged, aiming to push people to the edge of their comfort zone and keep them there. Aiming to stand out from the myriad of similar events and releases that happen every week in London and the rest of Europe.

By the very definition of the term Dark Matters, the label aims to initiate a response from the listeners and partygoers. Dark Matters has a connection to galaxies, the mysteries of the universe, the beginning of a concept bigger than we can imagine.

The events will centre around a combination of sound and visuals that express the dark and psychedelic concept behind the label. The crowd will be enveloped by installations, each event will be a collaboration between an art collective and or arts students, keeping the ideas and approach at the forefront of London's creative scene.

With the aim of releasing original material from live acts and Amirali's own productions, the scope of Dark Matters is broad, ranging from techno to abstract pop and ambient. The versatility and open-minded creativity will be mirrored in the events and the artwork for the records themselves.
Dark Matters kicks off with an EP from label boss Amirali dropping in July.The EP features a re-work from future label mate Aboutface and a remix from Prins Thomas.
The melodic complexities and hypnotic vocals in Amirali's original mix are re-worked, securing this EP as a confident and stunning debut.

Finally the dudes behind the fantastic Hell Yeah recordings step out into the limelight on their own with their debut EP of on Golf Channel. And what a debut !
Tracks range from blissful, boogie influenced house music (Adriatic Bolt) to the 1992 style Primal Scream psychedelic chugging banger (Quando) via sunny acid (Quiet Force) and deep emotional vocal led ambience (I Don't Care Who You Are).
Just as you'd expect from the amazing sounds their label has put out over the years, this ep is uncategoriseable in the best possible way We look forward to hearing more from the aptly titled Balearic Gabba Sound System, this is just an aperitivo, or is it a selection of antipasti...either way, it leaves you ready for the next course.

Mango Moon is a very Herbertesque number pumped full of musical influences from House to Italo to Disco, but with an eagle eye at all times on driving the dance floor really wild.
Pedro demonstrates his years of experience as both a producer and a DJ in a track that captures so much of the territory he has covered in both guises over the years.
With its pumping live disco underbelly, its melodic Italo-style keys riding on top and its rock solid drums, it really is a very classy production by a DJ/ producer who knows where he wants to go and how to get us all there at the same time.

Meanwhile on the flip, his label and DJ compadre Dicky Trisco flips the track in a live disco direction with an epic take of his own that throws more than a few surprises into the mix.
Dicky teases the dancefloor with a long build up but just wait until those wicked keys by Faze Action's Robin Lee drop in !

On Shoot The Freak, the dynamic duo deliver a groove-infused three tracker for your inner and outer freak.After sharing a gig at Robert Johnson, the intimate German club near Frankfurt known for its excellent sound system and minimalist flair, the pair shared a few, freaky days at Hotel Lauer (Phillip’s residence and recording studio in the bucolic German countryside) writing and tracking the cuts of Shoot The Freak. Having worked together in other capacities, a chance to creatively collaborate unleashed unhinged music from deep within the duo's collective soul. Conceptualized with New York City's historic amusement park and freak scene in mind, title track 'Shoot the Freak' adds an acidic 303 line alongside a hypnotic vocal sample, the track slowly ascending like a roller coaster before rocketing even deeper into space. The b-side struts its stuff with 'Luna Park' a smooth-burning, string-laden house burner.
'Garden of Tears' completes the EP, its synthetic voices and slow, emotive bass line chugging and churning into the glorious sunset along Coney Island's beachfront.
Each 12" on Beats in Space Records features original artwork in considerate and serial form. For Shoot The Freak, New York artist Peter Sutherland splits day and night through vertically collaged cosmic blinds.
