Born and raised in Newcastle in the UK, Man Power is now embedded in the depths of Mexico in Monterrey, a city on the rise after many years of internal strife.
This unique new perspective and observations while on the road as a touring DJ has given Man Power the impetus to launch his new label entitled Me Me Me with his own production 'Tachyon' paired with a remix from DJ Tennis.
'It stands to reason that if I'm calling my new label project Me Me Me, then I should be the one doing the talking. Deejaying has to contain a bit of selfishness, as it's all about playing the music that you love, and other people listening. It's a simple step to go from choosing the music in a club, to choosing music for a record label.' 'There currently seems to be a movement of artists forming who are indefinable past the vague limits of their own persona and varied musical mores. I'd like to think I'm part of this movement, so this is my attempt at exploring that concept. I'm trying to work with people who also represent this new popularity in artistic freedom.'
Following releases will feature Axel Boman, Red Axes, Mike Simmonetti, Chida, Fort Romeau, Hammer, Rex The Dog, Daniel Maloso, Last Waltz, James Hadfield (as Elizabeth Collective) and of course Man Power.
'It's definitely a snapshot of where I'm at, hence the name, but a DJ at his best has always been nothing more than a taste filter, and so Me Me Me is simply an expression of my tastes, and a platform for music by myself and the people I've been lucky enough to befriend over the years who share a similar disregard for any musical context.'

Something in my self deprecating north eastern English mentality makes me feel incredibly big headed for deciding to start my own label. Like who do I think I am So it's me embracing that I guess.'

Man Power has risen to prominence over the past few years through a beguiling versatility that is eminent in both his DJ and production style, leading to key releases on ESP Institute, John Talabot's Hivern Discs, Permanant Vacaction and Throne of Blood. He currently holds residencies at the esteemed Topaz Deluxe in his new station of Monterrey and at the equally chic MN Roy of Mexico City and his critically acclaimed 2015 album on Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant led to his title as one of XLR8R's Artists of the Year.

Fresh off a few well received and highly sought after releases on Omega Supreme Records (cheapest copy of Hyperion' is $60 right now on Discogs, just saying), Stockholm's Sasac returns with an elegant summertime jam. Talking God' is delicate morning music. From the opening notes you know you are in for something special. Think fresh squeezed orange juice, sunshine pouring in through open windows, the bridge between the waking world and that chaise lounge on the beach with your name on it. Let the sound wash over you like crystal blue waters and Visions of paradise. Sasac is Karl Nordin, one of those bright young people you read about in the newspaper. With only a few releases under his belt, he is a bright talent and essential member of the new wave of Swedish producers like Prins Emanuel and Golden Ivy.
As for the remixes, Eddie C (Endless Flight/Crue-L Records) buckles the track into his spaceship for a trip to the cosmos, but is forced to make an emergency stop in Ibiza.
With a buildup reminiscent of Amnesia (circa 1990) and guitar loops for days, the programming takes you to another planet. It is perfect for rooftop parties and garden soirees. Under the roof or under the stars, this mix is for dancing. Alex Israel (Creme Organization/Stilllove4music) left the masters locked up in his
Detroit basement and unearthed this subtle juno jam a year later. He washed off the mold and was left with a haunting, reimagined composition with warm keys and light acid. A creepy early night/late morning monster. Before heading home, Bendek (Peoples Potential Unlimited) invites the track to LA for a dip in his yakuza jacuzzi. The funk won't stop as you relax in the bubbles sipping shochu with lime. Claussell's flute, Satriani's guitar, and Dre's 808 are just on the patio. Try not to get them wet.
On chunky 180 gram vinyl and mastered by the prolific Dieter Schoenemann, this EP is worth the wait.

Tunnel Signs is the nom de plume of Australian born lover, fighter and romantic, Ash Moses. With a taste for playing and producing records that embrace the darkness, Moses parts the sea and finds the wonky middle ground between reverb drenched postpunk, hypnotic techno and spaced out disco. Having previously seen releases on labels such as Nein, Clouded Vision and HAKT he now finds a home with Cutters Records with this 12' with Will Buck.
The release, titled 'Spirits' came into existence when Ash relocated to New York City, a place he had long dreamed of from afar. As luck would have it he found himself sharing an apartment with another likeminded electronic musician named Will Buck who became his studio-partner and eventual collaborator. Having bonded over a shared love of synthesizers, drum machines and all things rhythm they soon began their own freeform jam sessions which paved the way for this 12' release.
'Spirits' shares some of the slow hypnotic swagger and dark disco drone of Red Axes and Multi Culti but with a futuristic percussive palette of the likes of Four Tet. The heady modulated elastic synth sounds give way to deep undulating bass patterns and tribal percussion. On the flip, the lights get turned out and the acid turned up with an ominous Techno rework courtesy of Hivern Disc's own Marc Piñol.

RNT is back with a double-pack of disco delight from an unsung hero of the edit game, Chicago's Underdog Edits aka Leonard Part Sixx. With 4 tracks spread over 4 luxurious sides, sourcing material both familiar and obscure, this release is an education on how to craft the perfect extended DJ version. Limited release!

Marcel Vogel has decided to celebrate the first five years of his edit-heavy Lumberjacks In Hell imprint in the only way he knows how: by putting together a sumptuous double-pack stuffed with fresh new material. In keeping with the way the label has developed in recent times, the eight tracks blend the boundaries between original productions, illicit remixes and straight re-edits. There's a celebratory, life-affirming feel throughout, from the rubbery bass, D-Train synths and rolling house grooves of Giovanni Damico's "The Break Down", to the bluesy deep house brilliance of Borrowed Identity's "Queens Bridge". Highlights are plentiful elsewhere, too, from the hustlin' electrofunk-meets-disco of Vogel's own "Come On", to the killer synth solos and fuzzy bits of Tim Jules' thrilling "Slap Beat".

More of a cultural artifact than an album in the traditional sense, Osunlade's'Pyrography' first materialised in 2011, intended to mark the closing chapter in his House music journey, the start of a new creative phase. Titled after the ancient artistic practice of burning an image onto a surface, everything about 'Pyrography' implied both ritual and permanence. A few signed, ultralimited edition CD copies of the album were accompanied by a specially
commissioned art book, with original works by highly regarded Australian artist Scott Marr and a series of 'oriki' prayers appearing in print for the first time ever. In 2017, BBE are proud to team up with the mercurial DJ, producer and ordained Yoruba priest Osunlade to make this incredible work of art available on vinyl for the first time. nestle in the front and back covers of a lovingly printed book containing a brief history of the Yoruba culture, Scott Marr's evocative images and those all-important traditional oriki prayers by Maria Oggun Bemi. Placed at the meeting point of art, culture, history, music and spirituality, Pyrography simply cannot be described or compared, much like the ritual Anagó language the project celebrates.

Disco Bits return with more edits aimed straight at late night disco dancefloors.This time around the Disco Bits team have unearthed, polished and refined a slept on British Disco Holy Grail classic. Love Me Love Me was originally recorded by True Feelings 1981 and was the only release on UK label Amber recordings.This is its first release as a single.
The track oozes uptempo positive vibes with rolling drums, uplifting vocals and guitar with incredible keyboard vamps and chord progression.
This time around the Disco Bits team have enlisted cut n paste wizard Disco Dave on editing duties.
The results are a Disco Edit on one side that distils the best elements of the original track into a 3 and a half minute wonder.

Renowned house and techno producer Mr. G joins the No Idea's Original roster with four typically powerful house cuts this January. Hot on the heels of his fifth album, not to mention a year releasing on Bass Culture, Relative, Warm Sounds, Midnight Shift and Defected - Colin McBean is a producer that needs little introduction. Hot on the heels of the co-release between Especial and Cocktails d'Amore Music of the Sfire Remixes EP (EES023/CDA013) comes an accompanying release with a pair of deeper, stripped back remixes from the inimitable Timothy J Fairplay and Willie Burns. Well known as producers, DJs and label managers with their Crimes Of The Future and WT Records respectively, as well as appearing on a who's who of electronic labels including Pinkman, Unknown To The Unknown and L.I.E.S, they have appeared in various guises on both Emotional Response and Especial. Here then are 4 remixes - 2 each per side - that take the unique original to new dance floor extremes. Timothy steps up first with his take on Sfire 2 via differing vocal and instrumental versions. His trademark, echo laden rolling percussion and "Carpenter" key lines take the original Synth-pop homage to the dark room. Adding Arps, a lifting, hedonistic breakdown and the scatter-stepper drums and claps found on the Instrumental version and this is pure COTF territory and the better for it. Willie meanwhile has long followed his own path for his take on Sfire 3, offering one of his deepest remixes to date. Thudding kick, brooding pads and dark strings force the vocals to go down, way down for examination. The distorted vocals of Remix 1 are countered by Remix 2 letting the track shine via a seemingly endless 4/4 beat. Detroit's Brainstorm have achieved cult status as a group among underground Disco, Soul and Boogie aficionados worldwide. "Hot for you" lifted from their 3rd LP from 1979 has always been a huge record for the more discerning Disco jocks, those who like to dig a little deeper to find the gems. A real dancefloor burner that found favour with everyone from Larry Levan to Daniele Baldelli after it's original release. The same can be said for "Journey to the light", another anthemic slice of midtempo Michigan Soul that was hugely popular in London on it's infamous "Rare Groove" scene, pirate radio stations and beyond. Roman Flügel and Andrew Weatherall supply two outstanding remixes of Phil Kieran recent album 'Blinded By The Sun', which David Holmes claimed is 'one of the best electronic dance inspired records in recent times.'
Mixmag described Phil Kieran as 'one of those producers that impresses with every release' so it comes as no surprise that two music heavyweights have jumped on board for remix duty. Kieran accounts Flügel and Weatherall to both having a heavy influence on his career. German DJ and producer Roman Flügel is easily one of the most revered names in the dance music spectrum. His take on 'No Life' is a masterclass in production. Flügel has created a track that is powerful whilst also superbly intricate. Flügel holds over twenty years of experience, extensively releasing on a number of labels whilst also co-founding Ongaku, Klang and Playhouse Recordings.
UK born DJ and producer maestro Andrew Weatherall remixes 'Finds Love' and reminds the listener of how beautiful electronic music can be. Combining cosmic layers with the ethereal vocal, this is a lesson in what a remix means. Weatherall has been experimenting with techno since the 90s, and well regarded as one of the world's most influential DJs.
Kieran created a ten track narrative in 'Blinded By The Sun', inspired by his experiences in the industry. It was met with high acclaim globally and this remix package further imprints his vision on pioneering imprint Hot Creations.

Ritual Chants skilfully shows insights into applying retro finds into a contemporary setting, much of the material acquired via world tours and capturing the excitement of finding lost jewels and sharing them to crowds across the planet.

Compiled by Danny McLewin, the renowned record digger of the duo, the compilation is carefully programmed and sequenced into 3 themes: Beach, Love & Dance, all of which tenderly demonstrate curious ears with a respectful nod to the past and the future via such touchstones as the pre-new age emanations of 'Water Sports' by Man Parrish, a beautiful tranquil and cascading synth poem which soothes and pulses, and the sublime and haunting 'God's Garden' by John J. Francis, which hints at a forthcoming new age of thinking.

Psychemagik are unique in their perspective, not only is their ability to seek out rare musical treasures from the worldwide musical domain astounding, but there's also a supernatural nature to their curation. They are a duo as infamous for their production technique as their DJ skills, their prolific edits laced with subtle studio production re-interpreting vintage gems and giving them a contemporary bounce. Mixmag named them their 'Stars Of 2012' and their remix output includes Bryan Ferry, Roisin Murphy, Noel Gallagher, Haim, Azari & III, Wang Chung, Paul Weller and Metronomy, with FACT mag summing up their skills best when they observed their "ear for mind-expanding dance floor mysticism".

Following the reissue of the entire recorded output of South London-based experimental act This Heat and its successor, Camberwell Now, Modern Classics Recordings holds the lens up to a special split album created by one of the driving forces behind those groups - drummer Charles Hayward - in collaboration with Italian musician Gigi Masin, whose looping, rhythmic, electronic compositions have seen his cult following grow in his four decades as a recording artist. TIP!!Originally released on Belgium's Sub Rosa label in 1989, Les Nouvelles Musiques De Chambre Volume 2 is a split LP on which Masin's eight tracks occupy side A and Charles Hayward's long-form piece (at 21 minutes long), "Thames Water Authority', occupies side B. Geography may have separated the two artists, who each recorded their pieces in isolation from the other, but there's a commonality to their approach. Previously, Masin had released the inspired 1986 album Wind, while Hayward's music had long been influenced by the landscape and society of London and the UK.For this album, the label challenged the two musicians to write about the waterways of their respective cities, Venice and London. For Masin, that meant describing the human interactions related to the Italian city's famous landmarks. 'Places, faces, memories... that's what most of the people love to find when they travel to Venice - some kind of magic that's deep in the city,' he writes in the new liner notes accompanying this new re-release.
For Hayward, it meant describing the physicality of water, the 'densities and energies' as he puts it, and the politics of it too. Writes Hayward: 'Water was being privatized at the time, the profit margin had been factored in, cost-cutting was implicit, people were being poisoned. Water was a political thing; it still is.

Re-discovered island disco masterpiece by the Trinidadian Quincy Jones. 'What You Won't Do For Love' was DJ Harvey's end-of-the-nighter for his long awaited tour of Europe last year. Both sides are previously unreleased extended versions of these tropical gems re-mastered from the original tapes. Officially licensed, limited edition.....

"For many this is the ultimate Disco Illusion; a record that should have been epoch making in its day, something that would have been a staple for David Mancuso, Larry Levan & Ron Hardy had it ever gotten distribution when it was originally released 34 years ago. Somehow time passed it by and it was only re-discovered in a warehouse in Trinidad last year. Since then it has been gaining momentum fast, with DJ support from Moodymann, MCDE, Floating Points & Kon, as well as original copies selling for four-digit sums. Part of the illusion is in the structure of the record. The A-side begins with beautiful, but relatively normal disco song, but suddenly an Egyptian sounding bridge turns the things inside out and the song opens up into a proto-house jam complete with bubbling Sun Ra synths and Black Ark tape delay action. The there's the b-side, which sounds like Bob James after he had a taste of callaloo, with deep electronics and a mind-melting steel pan solo. Finally, thanks to Invisible City this record is getting the life it has always deserved. "

Growing up in Kiev, Ukraine, Sasha Renkas remembers a landscape of strange light and slight abandonment.
Compelled to create - or rather, extract - safer worlds from haunted hardware of the '80s and '90s, Renkas collaborates with Eline Makker to make escapist themes on the precipice of acid and adventure as Antenna.The most recent design from Antenna's Amsterdam base, and their first contribution to Beats In Space Records, after releases on Pinkman and Royal Oak, Primavera is a meditation on the sensitivity of spring.
Far from a floral arrangement, Renkas and Makker engage the liminal space, a brief, bitter-sweet bloom between the endless summer and relentless winter.
Written after an overwhelming in-and-out of body experience in the Austrian countryside, the four track EP is the fantastical formation of elevated moments in space and time, an homage to nature's otherworldly portals.
Each track presented is an edited version of one hour jams recorded live to drive, with cameos from an army of Akai and Korg veterans. Renkas new acuteness for beauty's hidden moments dictates a less Cageian, more Bretonian surrender to the generative possibilities of this weathered machinery.
Like the human imagination allowed to wander and wonder, each song manifests as its own environment in transition, formed of the perfect layering of antipodal elements.
'Primavera May' lifts you from ordinary life: the apparition of rain clouds and droplets blur into a soft curtain over the world as the whir of delicate hi-hats glisten in a muted sunlight. Imagine a moment where the most inanimate inhabitants of the earth ghost dance before disappearing into nothing.
Makker's spoken vocals add a crestfallen hue to the vanished. She monotonously recites her regret: "everything is dancing / everything is crying / it can feel so heavy / before it has begun"
A denser, yet similarly sorrowful song, 'Before I Fall Asleep' is sculpted around nimble strings and webbed by breathy vocals, remaining slightly suspended, as if levitating just above the verdant ground.Halfway through 'Primavera April,' the track is transformed by acid showers, a lead synth lifts off to reveal a ravaged landscape, diametrically opposing the previous peace.
The ambient 'Acceptance Snow' closes Primavera with the self-fulfilling prophecy of its theme: that snow will fall, and the world will go to sleep.Conjuring the surreality of Renkas childhood landscapes, for all its reverie, Primavera always orients itself toward the responsibilities of the present. There is an acknowledgment that all day dreams must lead back to reality, that all journeys must be fulfilled.
Each 12" on Beats in Space Records features original artwork in considerate and serial form.For Primavera, New York artist Jesse Moretti positions uniform obelisks across a melted pastel field to replicate the woozy rhythms of this EP.

Born out of a love for Disco records and odd electronics, Casino Times is the project of producers Joseph Spencer and Nicholas Church - a musical partnership that is rooted in House and Techno but often treads into the weird and wonderful.

Having come up with an annual-ish drop of 12's since 2010, Even Brenden AKA Chmmr set aside the spring of 2016 to challenge himself to a new format: a full-length album. A true nostalgic, he uses Compass Point-era and early Italo sounds for inspiration and attempts to simulate these styles. This makes for a melodic, chuggy and graphic album that belongs a little more in the living room than on the dance floor. With 10 tracks of dusty rhythms and the honest, naive and spacious themes that is Brenden's signature, it's a record designed to signal that today's technological future may not be as different as yesterday's. Features a nice-looking cover painting drawn by the late Harold Cohen's AARON program - automation at its finest. Hidden behind his Chmmr moniker is Even Brenden, whose summery debut found its way into the world via Norwegian psych-disco label Luna Flicks in 2010. The record became somewhat of a soughtafter item and after making pit stops at Relish, Dødpop and Untz Untz Records, he landed on Prins Thomas' Full Pupp in 2014 and have stayed put ever since, all the while enjoying a steady habit of record jocking and the occasional keyboard duty in Telephones' now-defunct live band. Even resides in Oslo makes odd waves without vowels.

EDIT & DUB TOKYO release special disco versions sourced from an acetate titled NYC1980. Unsure on the story here but these versions of MFSB "MYSTERIES OF THE WORLD" & FRANCINE MCGEE "DELIRIUM" never made it to vinyl! Super limited on one sided vinyl. First come first serve!
