Fresh from 1986, another slo-mo Disco / Boogie / Garage banger from the Easy Street catalogue. That's right, this is that downtempo electrified sleazy Funk that keeps dance-floors pulsing. It has all the trademarks of the time, dope futuristic synths, slamming low-key drums and a sassy vocal performance from Kim Marsh lamenting a useless guy and her heartbreak! Classic Disco subject matter indeed. This one stands head and shoulders alongside the Tanaa Gardners, Barbara Masons and all the other heavy hitters of the time.
'Main Thing' is a true rarity today and used copies command a collectors price on the second hand record market. Every home should have a copy of this, no proper Disco collection is complete without it. A record that will never go out of style & will always provoke some buckwild reactions on any dance-floor it's dropped on!
Shout out to Easy Street, %100 legit re-issue, re-master & re-press, essential wax!

200 copies incl aplwax condom, Special remarks This time around you might find our gadget (aplwax condom) a bit odd but there's something special behind our choice. We thought that in a messed-up world is important to protect ourselves from the wrong experiences, therefore as in love and sex also in music our artists are free to experiment, finding protection behind our label. Help us to protect quality music and spread your love for it not just for the ones who make it, because music's purpose isn't to glorify the singles but to unite people! Love the music = spread the love, this is Apparel Wax.
We are proud to announce the arrival of Apparel Wax LP001, our first LP which opens a new catalogue dedicated to albums. We began to search the tracks for this Lp with the same guideline ever: the love for the music not thinking about the charts. The amazing artists who are taking part in the collective knew since day 1 that they had to put on a mask if they wanted to partake in this adventure; knowing how important is to 'appear' nowadays we wanted to prove that we could make great music without the help of the big names. So far so good. For this double vinyl LP we picked amongst the different souls that House Music has got, from Disco to Lo-Fi, always focusing on our 'Jazzy' watermark and giving the opportunity to the artists to prove their interpretative skills on this theme once again. A little reminder that next February 2019, month of the release, Apparel Music will be blowing 9 candles: no better time to celebrate with a new, fresh and energetic record. Let's talk about the tracks that compose our 1st LP. Listening to this record is like walking around a house where the walls are made of the same concrete but every room has a different atmosphere that you can absorb in each distinct vibration.

For their next trick, Get Physical treats everyone to a taste of their latest big project, India Gets Physical, with a single from Kone Kone that includes remixes from Reboot and Todh Teri (who will be curating and mixing the bumper forthcoming compilation). Mumbai's Kone Kone has an unconventional DJ style, creating audio-visual productions that are 'a new route to discover old media.' Kone Kone's electronic sounds explore Indian musical practices with a lo-fi finish, including references taken from disco, funky basslines and rolling toms. This superb latest track is a tribute to Indian cinema's '80s dance music. Entitled 'Come Closer,' it is a brilliantly loose and louche house track propped up by elastic bass. A whole world of instrumentation and exotic percussion enrich the groove while female vocal coos and soulful pads bring rich colours to lift the listener. Remixer Todh Teri is behind the acclaimed Deep In India release series and is at theheart of the revival of Indian cinematic sounds, where Bollywood sounds are reworkedfor the modern dance floor. His brilliant version has heavier drums doing big loops and pulling you further in each time as the synths bring cosmic vibes. Last of all, label stalwart Reboot's Muscleflexx Remix is darker and more edgy, with late night dance floors in mind as the pulsing synths and slippery drums gradually unravel. This is a great introduction to the next exciting chapter in Get Physical's country- focused compilation series.

Social Lovers return to the dance-floor with a stunning white label release of "Lover's Flame / The Light" on Hobo Camp to close out 2018, following up their ltd 7" "Can't Get Enough". "Lover's Flame" is a mixture of street funk and freestyle, evoking classic 80s NYC synth feels, accompanied by Doherty's playful vocals. "The Light" channels soulful garage house feels, and keeps the vibe sensual, spiritual, and heavy. A true dance 12" with an additional 'Instrumental' version of the A side, and 'Keypella' of the B side, DJs are already banging these tracks out on systems worldwide.
Led by head-producer Matty P, and the sultry voice of Megan Doherty, Social Lovers are a collaborative group that sprung up from the desert of Phoenix, Arizona and soon to spread to both coasts. Now with their core members sharing home-bases in both New York City and Los Angeles, their smooth sound is best defined as 'street funk with a splash of class'.

A regular at Cocktail d'Amore, Bell Towers is a Berlin-based Australian producer best known for his long-lasting collaboration with Munich's Public Possession. Next to that, a number of projects under different monikers - namely Rim Boys, an evolving b2b with Andras.
"I'm Moving To Berlin" is his first EP for Cocktail d'Amore Music. It's a sparkling celebration of the party; its influence on the city and on the producer's life tangents. "It's too late now / There's no turning back / I gave it all for Cocktail d'Amor..." Rohan confesses, while a hybrid EBM-synth pop sonic adventure unfolds.
What happens next is presented in "Sexual Intruder Alert" and "Approach and Identify". The first comes through as a quirky multidimensional future-disco tale, while the second plunges deep into the cosmic hole with punchy percussions and an euphoric groove pattern.

Mysterious white label release 'ALFA EP' coming from new kid on the block 'Alfa Cornae'.
This EP is all Italian, recommended listening: cruising through the Tuscany countryside, riding shotgun in a vintage Alfa. If the above is not at hand, then any local nightclub with a decent sound system will do.
Ok so you climb into your Alfa, a thing of beauty, you rev the engine, it sounds like your ex... in a good way.... This is a serious roadster, we're not talking Ford Mondao, we're talking all Italian smooth V8 engine, luxury leather upholstery, the real deal!
You're on your way to the best party in town, driving down the freeway toward Milan, 120 mph, roof down, a virgin Negroni in the passenger seat, casually smoking on a fat Toscano cigar; you're on the way to the biggest discotheque this side of the river Po.
Now you're in a hot tub. You don't know who's it is but it has bubbles. You turn to your right; next to you is Roberto Baggio. You take a big drag on your cigar and smile at him, he responds with a cheeky wink. Next thing you know you're dressed as a goalkeeper and everyone's dancing. Negronis all round, even for the reserves. Everyone is dishing out high fives; there's been one too many cigars smoked. Gerd Janson is dressed as a lama and the crowd is loving it.

Nomadic and sporadic in form and function, their parties are centred around danceable odd-ball gems and have hosted the likes of Jamie Tiller, Jon K, Esa, John Gomez, Selvagem, DJ Nomad, Bradley Zero, DJ Okapi, Jonny Rock, Apiento, DJ Vegetable and Cosmic Slop. After a series of DJ friendly edits issued gratis, Good Block finally put out their first fully fledged EP of original material; a composite soup of influences and styles from around the Orb, trekking through slow jungle chug, cosmic Caribbean Juno jams, Japanese synth pop snares and New-Age meanderings.

Thami Mdluli's Production Project Had Young And Old Dancing To A Sound That Sought To Unite Blacks Within Southern Africa. our Music Gave Hope To The Hopeless,' He Says. Mdluli's Third Instrumental Album (which Contains Some Background Vocals, To Be Exact), Portrays The Moment When The Dominant Mbaqanga And American R&b-based Bubblegum Sounds Being Produced In Johannesburg And Other Urban Centers Were Transforming Into House And Hip-hop-inspired Kwaito. The Pop Of The 80's And All That Went With It—from The Models Of Synths And Drum Machines To The Lyrical Style—gave Way To A Changing Melodic Emphasis And New, Much Slower Tempi Using A Completely Different Rhythmic Skeleton. Upbeat, Chipper Bubblegum, Often With Double-time Breakdowns And Upstroke Syncopations, Faded And The Sounds Began To More Closely Resemble Those Of Contemporary Black America—where Hip-hop Was Slowing Down And The Bass-lines And Melodies Were Getting Moodier, Darker In General. At The Same Time House Music Had Briefly Reached Mainstream Acceptance In The States And That Popularity Continued To Feed Into Awareness Overseas. These Two Influences Blended With The Burgeoning House Music Scenes In Johannesburg And Pretoria As Professor Rhythm 3 Was Being Produced In March 1991 (the Same Year Apartheid Ended). Mdluli Explains, we Were Influenced By Foreign Bands And So People Updated Their Sound.' According To Mdluli, The Evolving Sound Was Bolstered By Widening Availability Of House And Rap Records From Abroad While, Most Importantly, An Increasing Sense That Apartheid Might Soon Be Finished Was Met With A New Positivity Vibe Society. 1991, '92, '93... Mandela Was Released. People Were Upbeat, They Were Happy, The Music Was Good.' Professor 3 Came Out On Vinyl As The Lp Business Was Dying In South Africa And Sold Around 20,000 Copies. It Was Mainly Distributed On Tape, Which Sold Closer To 100,000. With The Help Of Engineer Fab Rosso, The Recording Features Backing Vocalists From Mango Groove. After Making A Half-dozen Records As Professor Rhythm, Mdluli Once Again Shifted His Focus Musically. By The Mid-90's He Had Veered Off Gospel Music— And Left Playing In Bands And Started Making His Own Solo Recordings. His Enormous Success In The Gospel Realm In The Years Since Is A Remarkable Story In Its Own Right, But For Now We Are Only Dancing.

RFBCOLOURS 002 bring L'Atelier on board. This pair from Amsterdam bring you a 4 track EP with a digi only bonus. It starts off with Again, which hits that great sample hard and gets the party started on a disco vibe with a house twist. Then theres XTC which carries on where the A1 left off. On the flip we see a serious piano workout on top of a a grooving drum arragement. To finish off the vinyl package we see Times Are Ruff take the remix on a deeper tip with some seriously crunchy basslines and rolling groove. Then if that wasnt enough theres a digital bonus that will warm up any willing club room.

Between the end of the 70's and the early 80's, a new sound appeared in London and its surroundings, a unique mix of Funk, Jazz-Funk and Disco labelled as Britfunk. Characterized by its raw energy that can put the needle In The Red, this up-tempo sound was a match for the UK's dancers and Jazz-Funk clubs.
This first release by French label Chuwanaga features some of the most exciting, rare and powerful tracks from that era compiled by the Parisian DJ and activist Saint-James, with bands such as Equa, Potion, Inch by Inch, Congress, Index and Spookey. It features also an insert with an in-depth focus on this musical era.
These young British musicians were equally inspired by the American Jazz-Funk productions and by Dub music and Reggae pushed by the Afro-Caribbean community who were at the heart of Britfunk's development. They gave Funk a unique British flavor. However, more than just a music genre or an enclosed expression of black Britishness, it was part of a genuine musical and social movement with its own dedicated labels, fashion sense and most importantly its own set of values that fueled the whole scene. Britfunk built itself within a multicultural evolution: black people, white people, straight and queer, all dancing in the same room to the same loud sound.

ncouraged by the high demand for 'Foundations Vol.1', which saw DJ Spinna and Kai Alce join forces to release the Cajmere classic 'Brighter Days' on 7' vinyl, the second volume of
'Foundations' sees the pair digging even deeper into House music history, selecting a pair of tracks from Chicago legend Tyree Cooper. The first cut on our strictly limited 7' pressing was
originally named 'Video Crash', then re-titled 'Acid Crash' on a bootleg version released around the same time. Whichever name you prefer, this 1988 track hails from an era of creative oneupmanship in the Chicago underground. The story goes that Marshall Jefferson and/or Lil' Louis created a jam called 'Video Clash' in the mid 80s (there's still some controversy about who made it, so we'll say no more). Keen to go one better, Tyree hit the studio to make a track called 'Video Crash' and in the process he created one of the most potent and recognizable Acid House tracks of all time. On the flip side and originally released back in '89 is Joe Smooth's 'Too Deep' mix of another Tyree classic: 'Hardcore Hip House'. A crossover anthem, Tyree's original version paired rap vocals and James Brown cutups with raw House beats. Fellow Chicago DJ Joe Smooth shows off the
flawless, crisp production abilities that would later see him producing for Destiny's Child, New Order and Whitney Houston with this superb, timeless Deep House remix

Nick The Record & Dan Tyler are back with the long awaited, much anticipated 4th release on their Record Mission imprint.
If you have heard Nick The Record play out during the past year you've probably heard Work & you've definitely heard Give Me More - which has been the tune Nick has been asked about the most over the last years busy DJ schedule. They had some technical difficulties which led to delays in getting this out... or did they just enjoy the exclusivity over the last year You decide!
Give Me More is a Squidgy Funky Disco winner for the discerning dancefloor and already a bit of an anthem.Work is a feel good vocal Disco tune in celebration of the weekend party time when the week's work is over.Play is a high speed Space Disco meets Jazz jam that sounds like there was a collision between Harry Thumann & Jason Lindh somewhere in space, or maybe underwater. Enjoy! .

It's rare to come across a debut album that delights and surprises in equal measure, but that's exactly what you can expect from Human Call, the first full-length excursion from daydreaming dancefloor fusionists Earthboogie. The East London-based duo of Izak Gray and Nicola Robinson has previous form when it comes to creating beautiful, funk-fuelled fusions of soundsystem-ready rhythms, humid instrumentation and intergalactic audio explorations. To date, they've released a pair of fine EPs on Leng, both of which did a splendid job in showcasing their unique musical vision.Even so, this vision has never been clearer than it is on Human Call, a vibrant eight-track missive that fixes the sticky tropical cheeriness of African and South American dance music - be it Afro-disco, Afro-funk or samba - with a wide range of complimentary sounds, styles and influences, from spacey analogue electronics, sun-kissed Balearica and hazy West Coast jazz-rock, to chunky dub disco, snappy retro-futurist house and bouncy, dub-fuelled club workouts.Throughout, Gray and Robinson showcase an impressive level of musicianship, variously combining crunchy drum machine hits and dusty old synthesizers with razor-sharp electric and acoustic guitars, rich bass, cascading saxophone solos and hazy, life-affirming vocal harmonies. The result is a string of memorable highlights, from the sticky tropical-house-meets-dub disco futurism of 'Human Call' and fuzzy disco-funk righteousness of opener 'Overground', to the post-punk disco jauntiness of 'Stargazing' and samba-infused dancefloor bliss of Nina Miranda collaboration 'Silken Moon'. Cheery, absorbing, imaginative and hugely entertaining, Human Call offers a perfect snapshot of Earthboogie's distinctive musical world.

Ichisan is Slovenian Igor Skafar, and Igor´s Trademark Sound is heavenly electronic blissed spaced out house with a sick amount of grooves layerd in. Fab earlier releases on the grand Airtight and Unter the Shade labels tell musical tales of this. And so it went that Hoppsa fascinatd us yet againy with it´s mesmerizing 80´s synth hook that you want to simply lock in and play away all day and night... while Kristina is an unmistakably Philly Affair with an edge, and edge, that means deep depth and a serious build between the woobly - and that is what we like! not being able to decide which one to favour, eventually, we released both. here´s to YOU!

all tracks w&p by Till von Sein & Alexander Krüger
English:
Tilly Jam - number one. An elegantly arranged announcement of where it's at. A bang of a label debut, not unlike the sound of a bub bottle hitting the hull. Three times the unmistakeable message where this is heading: House, House, House! And obviously the man Till von Sein himself on the keys and knobs.
You'll find the A side starting off rather cooled down, but as soon as von Sein keys in the bass, the groove DNA of this heart and hip warming opener is set. Filtered string-sequences, silky smooth sampling in the break and vocals that resolve even the last fraction of doubt: We are indeed in 'Heaven'.
'Ambush 77' on B1 is letting go of all remaining hold backs and activates the peaktime hooter several times. A funked up trigger for loss of control on the floor, sustained by a luscious kick, a colossal bassline and percussive priming.
B2 is backing down just a little bit into understatement. After an intro of spoken words, the arrangement of 'Part Of The Solution' consolidates into a groove of thick bassdrums, slightly distorted, Acid implying synths and - in contrast - tenderly installed synthie-miniatures.

In another tight and consistent projection, Paxton Fettel actualizes his assertion for independence, eclecticism and voodoo - with a collection of delightful enchanting vibes.
Familiarly neat and energetic, house beats and crystal-clear chords accord to accompany the melodic dawdling, while insatiable and unbelievably facetious talkative babblings of all kinds stretch out into organic gliding laces.
The purposefully optimistic and spirited atmosphere is the echo of the ceaseless quest for serious lightness, relaxed ecstatic states, truth and wonders.

After releasing the track Chillin at the 6th Floor on the vol 2 of our 'The Sweetest' VA, Dj Rou, originally Francesco Zaniboni, chief of L'Archivio record store in Bologna, makes finally his debut with his first full EP on Bosconi Extra Virgin named 'Vento EP'. Having released on Cognitiva, Red Rooster and Daphian the sound of Vento EP is a full immersion into two main factors: a strong passion for Jazz and Latin music in line with the love for his three favorite dusty gears Korg Electribe MX, MPC 1000 & his guitar, giving a cosmic and tribal atmospheres still embracing the classic nature of sampling. The record starts with the track which gives the title to the record, 'Vento', where its jacked out beats get enriched by some beautiful, romantic and memorable soulful vocals. After that we find on the second cut the laid-back, summery and deep sexy vibe of '4Phenia' while on the flip side Dj Rou changes directly the mood with the more driving and mysterious atmospheres of 'Dante Says Truth'. 'Not the Same' close up this release bringing back the smile with its chilled out groove and wicked gospel vocals intrusions,
delivering one the best and warmest example of House a la bolognese.

The 2nd single in this white label hand stamped remix series. This one brings the heat with a dope ass rewerk of ISAAC HAYES' "MOONLIGHT LOVIN'", a late night disco jam perfect for old skool house heads b/w "SCHOOL DAYS" from STANLEY CLARKE, a jazz funk cut time stretched for the dancefloor.

Cute Swedish Pop from 1984. A Gothenburg secret. Passed from Music For Dreams` Kenneth Bager to Cantoma`s Phil Mison to Rogue Cat Sounds` Dean and Ben. Pop that rocks a cool, faux-Reggae lilt with Bluesman licks and harmonica hooks. Cute like other sought after Rogue Cat favourites. Terry Crawford`s Gunfighter. Or Romie Singh`sDancing To Forget. Martin Caine`s Snowbird City. Its lyrics aSupercalifragilisticexpialidocious-like nursery rhyme front, framing "bad girl" playground reminiscences. A chorus of 'Eeniemeeniemacaracaairidominacchukabacalolliopuhunpush."
asking verses, more along the lines of "All I learnt at school was how to bend, not break the rules" (Madness). Or "Hey, Teacher! Leave those kids alone" (Pink Floyd). Than Mary Poppins excited by a day at the races. Smoking, groping, poking and "pushing" behind bike-sheds.
