Following their contributions to Unruh 01 and 02, Tachyon return with four tracks of their own for the Fried EP. After the funky breaks of ‘Fried’, things take a sharp left turn with ‘PCM Dub’ before we shoot into outer space with ‘Traffic’. The tweaked and blissed-out beats of ‘Late Chatter’ finish off the EP in style.

Russian Indie Dance / Nu Disco and House label Soviett return with the 4th vinyl release of their club-friendly series «Plastinka»! Ranging from 108 to 124 BPM this time, all four tracks are full-length DJ-versions exclusive to this vinyl and never been available before. «Patchouly Indonesiano» by Saint-Petersburg-based Pavel Korzhensky, aka Ksky, is a lively piece of modern analogue electro. Alexander Prosvetov, aka Marco Lazovic from Moscow, delivers an atmospheric tech-house track with a strong retro feeling of the 80s and 90s dance music scene; it emphasizes how deeply Lazovic explores the roots of electronica. Street Choice is a Russian duo of Artyom Vasiliev and Alexander Rodakov; the guys present a classic house production with a humming rhythm section and a memorable piano line on top. Buzz Compass is Andrey Bychenkov and his «Make A Baby» is a perfect laid back start to an evening pre-party with lots of live instruments and no rush. Plastinka 4 is a proper addition to your current vinyl DJ-set or personal listening pleasure!

Club Designs head honcho and infectious beat impresario Garneau is joined by Vanouver Slab party series producer Max Ulis for the “Big O EP”. Both extraordinary producers and DJs in their own right, these Canadian underground stalwarts never fail to impress.

Breaks, beats, booms, and bass – expect to hear these on the club circuit for a while, each track a brilliant combination of deep house roots with breakbeat tips.

After manufacturing delays these tracks have been kept under wraps for over a year, but we are so happy to finally release them for the world.

AND so the spotlight pans to Quantec. Having launched Neighbour Recordings with the Life Is Rhythm EP from Base Pilot, the studio collaboration between label owners Birke TM and Quantec, the imprint now turns to the latter for a solo follow-up with the muchexperienced artist turning in the tasty Moments EP. A self-confessed lover of old-school synths and their lo-fi beauty and emotion, this child of the Eighties naturally gravitates towards deep, dubby, Detroit-esque vibes and much more besides. You can hear it again in his latest work. The dramatic mesmerising synths of Inception are the most apposite aural appetiser, setting the scene perfectly for the main event and dovetailing snuggly with the dub-flecked deepness of Momentum I and the irresistible drive of the truly dope Nocturne. The pulsating, near-menacing throb of Momentum II explores different territory – that of techno – whilst the spacey, chilled groove of Diurnal is the perfect comedown from the EP’s more heady business.

Chicago is the promised land, four stories from where it all began featuring Gene Hunt, Ed Nine, G Marcell and Hakim Murphy.

To its round anniversary Dizzy Tunes presents a limited Vinyl-Only 2-track release by the Cologne producer Stefan Gubatz.

Besides his engagement with the well known Acid House Act Snuff Crew, Gubatz releases jam sessions under the name Dirtbox Jams at irregular intervals. The concept demands to only use music hardware such as synthesizers, drum computers and sequencers.

The title track “Warning” is an electro monster pervaded by heavy hitting TR-808 and TB-303, which builds up an uncanny tension over its entire playing time of 10 minutes and culminates in an extatic acid excess.

On the other hand, “Saturday Night Jam” on Side B comes along more calmly but also unfolds its charming effect over a full 10 minutes. Here, Gubatz reflects on Detroit Techno virtues and reverts to the legendary sound of the TR-909 and the Juno 106. Of course, the TB-303 is not to be missed either.

From the same producers that brought you the Timenet release, here we have a mighty fine re-issue of the very first Hi-Ryze record. Cyberia was originally released through cult label Brainiak back in 1990. Since then the Ubik production team released half a dozen of EP's under the Hi-Ryze name through various other classic imprints such as General Productions and Certificate 18. Here we have Frame Of Mind's faves: Cyberia and After The Flood. Remastered from the original DAT tapes!

It's been almost 3 years since the first volume of Dancefloor Detonators enhanced our nocturnal revelries, so it's a welcome treat to see a second volume has now made an appearance.
As with the first release, Volume 2 follows a similar principle, namely to put on vinyl some of the most popular tracks from the label's digital catalogue alongside some exclusive new cuts, appearing here for the first time to keep things 100% fresh. The resultant 5-tracker is nothing short of sublime.
Label regulars Secret Circuit, Sordid Sound System and Bal5000 appear alongside Optimo Music regular Feon and newcomer Wanda Krak.

Cormac is pleased to announce the second release on his new record label Polari, the label he curates and through which he shares music from artists that he champions in his muchrevered DJ sets.
The name “Polari” references the slang used by the gay subculture in the 19th century.
The sophomore release is from Philadelphia based duo Zillas on Acid.
2019 was the year Zillas made the transition from DJs to break-out producers. Having honed their DJ skills at Philadelphia’s revered MAKING TIME clubbing institution, Thomas Roland and James Weissinger have released two EPs on Optimo Music and also on Ivan Smagghe’s Les Disques de la Mort in the past 12 months.
Cormac has also opted to showcase different LGBTQI+ visual artists' work for the sleeve art.

Neapolitan producer Partenope certainly wears a big Underground Resistance influence on his sleeve in the case of 'Odysseia' - it's even mentioned in the press release, and we're not going to argue either. But it's no bad thing, especially as it's a general love of the soulful, uplifting, musical end of the techno scale rather than a creative plunder of any UR track in particular. The label has pulled out the big guns with a Gerd Janson remix to accompany it too, and Janson certainly warm acid trance

Paul Wise aka Placid is the driving force behind ‘We’re Going Deep’ – a thriving online community and record label that’s showing no signs of letting up as we glide towards the end of 2021.

Sticking to the trusted format of 4 tracks of high grade electronic explorations per EP, all sourced from equally excellent artists. WGD 005 fires its way into orbit on Side A with the opening chimes of Australian producer Tim Jackiw’s ‘Urban theory’. A purist slice of machine driven techno-soul that plots a cosmic trajectory through sharp FM bass tones, powerful kick and driving 303 - all drawn together through sparkling rings of chorded melody. As the rattle of metallic snares and searing acid rise, the track unleashes at warp speed: bringing sheer delight. Followed by the expansive talents of 030303 hitman Böhm, ‘The Search’ meanders deeper into interstellar fields with a jam packed full of melancholia, making full use of minimal machine elements for a maximal sound.

Welcoming another original purveyor of electronic music from Australia to Side B, the legendary Biz straddles the line effortlessly between IDM and Electro with the wonderfully uplifting air of ‘Meltdown’. Stacked full of low-end and glistening solar frequencies, his take on the deep space sound will definitely have fans of Automatic Tasty, Moy and Cignol phoning home. Last but not least, Yorkshireman Al Bradley plots a course back towards inner space, serving up a slow acid bubbler that’s text book in terms of restraint and poise – perfect for those orbital moments as you near your final destination.

Uit de Hoogte goes raw on new release “Λέων” with 15 analog jams made between July 23 and August 22, summer 2022. All tracks are written, recorded and mixed off the cuff, straight to 1/2 inch reel-to-reel tape which gives the tracks a deep and warm vibe. Some additional editing and mastering duties were done in the box. The Belgian producer doesn’t hesitate to explore new grounds with tracks ranging from house to garage and acid till techno. It's time to get to know Club Magnus, a new label that launches with Moonlight 001, a various artist collection that brings together some fresh contemporary talents across three forward thinking cuts. Jay Tripwire opens up with his scintillating tech house sounds embellished with all the usual acid and afemtparty freakiness. Magnus Asberg then keeps you on your toes with his nimble drum work and the cyborg electro funk of 'Sunset' (vs Sound Of The Suburbs) while Microman closes with the more dark, involving and intense techno convulsions of 'Inga Aviseringar'.

Kicking off the first Partisan release of 2022, Oslo based producer A:G dives deep with his “Human In Progress” EP.

“Quivering in Time” is the debut album by DJ and producer Eris Drew on T4T LUV NRG, the label she runs with partner Octo Octa. In 2020, after the release of Trans Love Vibration (NAIVE, 2018) and Transcendental Access Point (Interdimensional Transmissions, 2020), Eris moved from her hometown of Chicago to rural New Hampshire and recorded the nine beautiful songs featured here. Her first album feels something like her DJ sets, with stacked layers of vinyl samples and turntable manipulations serving as a fast-moving foundation for hand-played keyboard riffs, walls of percussion and sampled, scratched and strummed guitar tones. On each song for the album Eris expresses the anxiety and hope of her present. She wrote, recorded, and mixed the album as she stared into the forest through her studio window, collapsing present and past into future, her memories and body literally quivering in time.

The songs are cast with Eris’s experiences and intentions. The plucky progressive Loving Clav is in the form of an evocation (“good times come to me now....”), while the tracks Time to Move Close and Show U Love express Eris’s longing for togetherness. The hardcore Pick ‘Em Up (“...and it might be a different story”) and organ-heavy Ride Free are funky odes to psychedelics, hard dancing and the subjectivity of real lived experience. The twinkling house of Howling Wind and the tempo-shifting bop of Sensation capture the mystery of the forest cabin where Eris spent most of the last 15 months. Two booming hip house dubs round out the album, Baby and Quivering in Time, each an itchy track about hope and personal resilience. As with her prior work, Eris’s approach to music making is unique and genre-dissolving. Ultimately, her special sound is a metaphor for her main message, which is that every person deserves to be themself.

Collins Dictionary Example sentence: „Other ocular signs include involuntary rhythmic movement of the eyeball.“ Someone in the editorial department wasn‘t paying attention and involuntarily spoke a deeply buried truth: The movement from the eye to rhythm and from there to sound is sometimes a small, puny one.

Now Infuso Giallo provides the proof at the same time and implements his live show for last year‘s debut album „Ocular Soda“ as an audio-visual show, as intertwined senses. Visible sound, audible images. Such ideas only last when they are put to the test and scrutinised by several experts.

The duo Globus, which consists of 2/5 of the post-hardcore band PTTRNS, examines the synth hook of the second part of the double-opener „Every Waking Hour Pt.2“ by playing it, varying it, letting it sway.

In contrast, Anatolian Weapons from Athens can‘t help but immerse the ambient, Soft Machine-production-like first minutes of „Every Waking Hour Pt.1“ in a sinister black light. Staggering into a basement club filled with nocturnal shadow people and indulge in carousing. Cautiously at first, then more and more determinedly.

From Hamburg and Berlin, the „Mole Gaze“ gets a special treatment. The trio Love-Songs drags the number off to Hamburg harbour, packs it onto a steamer, deep into the bow and lets it operate the sonar there. Conrad Schnitzler would have been delighted.
Infuso Giallo, meanwhile, realises that there is nothing more boring than standing still, so he revamps „Hello World“ and gives it a rear spoiler that keeps this number in lane even at club speed.
Speaking of „keeping in lane“: Niklas Wandt, the magician, doesn‘t even try such tricks. He simply throws an acid bolt on the closer „Ocular Soda“ and waits to see what happens. Alongside breakbeats from nowhere, Albert Hoffmann himself appears on a bicycle.
„Ocular Soda Remixes“ is the first tape on the Kame House label, so there‘s only one thing to do: open your eyes and listen!

The genre re-defining chameleons of Hard Ton are back on Schrödinger’s Box with their own brand of style splitting acid house disco. Bigger is Better, a double EP album, has all the depravity and drama you would expect from these disruptors. “Be Somebody” is a proud call to a dirty beat; chin up, chest out and let the claps and hi-hats fly. Flanger effect units are pushed to the max in “Trip To Your Mind”, an acid dripping, falsetto bending banger. Rhythms collide and sweat hits the floor in the body jacking “You Want Me” before new age rave mantra of “Transcend Your Body” with its steepling synth stabs and 303 barbs. The close, “Girls and Boys,” is inspired by a Brit Pop hit. Beefed-up, muscled-up, this club ready weapon will bring the house down.

The Exit Planet Earth series continues with the first ever collaboration between two undisputed electro-funk heavyweights Egyptian Lover & Soul Clap. Egypt knows how to rock the TR 808 like no other and has been a true player on the LA electro scene since 1984. While Soul Clap have forged their unique E-Funk sound coming out of New York City as part of the Crew Love collective. The resulting track 'Hai Karate' is a slice of superbly produced classic electro designed to rattle bass bins from Miami to Mars.
Following form in classic electro directions, Futurenauts present their debut track 'We are the Futurenauts' that brings a slower based groove reminiscent of 'A Love from Outer Space' into the cosmos and delivers a powerful message to humanity. The flip sees a welcome return to 20/20 Vision from the Maltese magician Sound Synthesis who continues the vocoded vocals but adds a state-of-the-art assault on the senses with a slamming track aimed firmly at the discerning dancefloor. EPE 08 is finished off in fine style by Mick Wilson & August Artier with 'Akira's Cry', which fuses a deep house bassline and chords with tight break beat programming and powerful lead strings.

It's coming home, it's coming home - house music is coming home! A second instalment of the Groove Access: series Chicago Is Home offers us five fresh tracks from the windy city landing in a glorious cavalcade of razor edged snares and hypnotic jack house. Ed Nine & Kid Enigma's 'Bandleaders' opens side one in spectacular fashion with spoken mantras lying deep in the mix, distinctive phasing arpeggios, poking keyboard riffs and ringing cymbals. JSquare's 'Get Wicked' kicks with even more power, tribal rhythms bouncing of bleepy melodies, before 'Move' by Geto Mark rounds off the side with the strutting, beautifully brutal 'Move', a proper 3AM peak time pleaser. Steve Noah's 'The Hater' opens side two, a wily acid line worming its way across a raw, stripped down backing before exploding into serious gnarliness when you least expect it. AFTR's 'Undercover' rounds things off with another knuckle duster of a tune, leaving no doubt that Chicago is still the place to be when it comes to house.

Arriving some five years after the original 12" created a dance-floor paradigm shift, Roy Of The Ravers returns to Emotinium with an EP of updated retakes, complete with the previously unheard original demo mix in all its twenty minute glory. Emotinium first appeared on the '2 Late 4 Love' cassette in 2015, and caused a storm as part of a 4 track EP with the same name a year later. The track was played as a festival opener by the likes of Bicep and in Sameheads' Berlin basement parties - becoming a must-have that continues as today's second-hand prices testify.

A sense that the dreamy electro meets 303 melodics of the original could be brought up to (breaks) speed held in Roy's mind since creation, so Rave '22 is presented for hearts, minds and feet as we step(pers) out into an updated world. Cut, looped, and reformed, a braindance for millenniums.

This is accompanied by an Ambient Dub for the afters. Highlighting the TB-303's finest again, Roy's garden of dreams flies high, as artificial intelligence finally becomes reality. To close, the long-form Demo awaits. One for completists maybe but in letting the full 20 minutes play you can be drawn in or let go and drift as Tadao Kikumoto's masterwork is presented with respect. Arigato!

Seventh candy delivery from Bardouin Music with an atmospheric and euphorythmic EP by Lyon-based producer Hyas. This new chapter presents a dreamy and acid story with 5 vault gems - going through electro, speed garage and breakbeat with cloud-grazing synthesizers and echoing effects in the ocean’s depths. Welcome to the unexplored Angel Island Zone.

Pavel ludin returns to Poker Flat Wax with a gripping four-tracker showcasing his myriad of talents. Born and raised in Eastern Siberia, Pavel Iudin found his way to the underground scenes of Moscow and Saint Petersburg where he firmly established his credentials. The Probe EP finds him at the height of his powers, serving up some serious burners. 'Probe 2' is a throbbing, deep roller with shimmering synths and a shuffling, evolving groove - one for keeping the floor on lock whatever the situation. 'Halo' has more classic feel to it, clearly a nod to the Chicago masters of the 90s, but maintaining a tough and fresh feel that is all ludin's own. Half way though, things really open up into thick, swingy vibe via a killer bassline and snappy percussion. 'Probe 3' is more acidic outing - although never resorting to the iconic 303, the track is a lysergic journey into dubbed out tech-house. Closing out the EP is 'Groundlevel' - a driving, loopy groover that uses ludin's feel for atmosphere and tension to the max. The whole EP exudes a steely-eyed mastery of the studio and the dance floor - making Pavel Iudin one to watch over the next months.
