Tuccillo made his 2020 debut in 2011 with the excellent 'Mathematics EP' which was one of our top sellers of the year and featured 'Password' that became bit of an underground Ibiza anthem in the hands of Luciano and at DC10.
Still based in Ibiza Tuccillo knows a thing or two about what works on the dancefoors over there, playing everywhere from Pacha to Circoloco, and since his last 2020 ep he's released for the likes of Defected and Rebirth and again hooked up with Willie Graff for releases on Freerange, Local Talk and Circus Company and remixed Osunlade and DJ Sneak.
His new EP again reflects his love for classic house, whether heads down and tracky (check Unblock, already a summer anthem for DJ Sneak), classic Balearic (Sabotage), or precision programmed deep house (Need U, Karimba).

Flavour records was born by taste of underground music. Created and based in Paris, the label soaks up the soul of this city through warm grooves, hot rhythms and sweet harmonies. Back to its roots with some deep and powerful Chicago house tracks. This time its Morning Factory on duty with a beautiful melodic and emotive two tracker! No secret that the Clone Jack For Daze series is inspired by the heritage of Chicago house music in all its forms. Morning Factory are taking us back in a time machine to the early days of Chicago labels such as Relief, Warehouse and Dance Mania whit releasesof guys like Tim Harper, G-Strings, Paul Johnson and Ron Trent. Back then young guys who were pushing bounderies with deep emotive house tracks containing a raw machine funk that was an essential part of house music in that period of the late 80's and very early 90's. The days that fragile melodies and layers of strings got combined with fierce energetic drum machine rhythms expressing the energy and moods of the young producers doing things never heard before with hardly any references other then some guys from around the block. The days of no references are way past us, but music from the heart will always stand out! Recommended

Italian label OUT-ER returns with a superb new EP from DJ/producer Alessandro Stefanio aka Buck featuring 4 tracks of deep and dubby techno Southern Italian record label OUT-ER, or Outelectronic Recordings to give it its full name, has rapidly established itself as a new bastion for quality electronic music with its superb singles to date from some of Italy's finest, including The Analogue Cops, Luciano Esse and Santorini. Now the imprint looks to another Italian production heavyweight Alessandro Stefanio AKA Buck for it's latest release 'The JVSB EP'. Buck has been releasing quality techno for the last 5 years with labels such as Safari Numerique, Alphahouse, Little Helpers & Motivbank. As a DJ he established himself playing at Italy's key clubs before taking his sets to the world at venues such as Watergate, Weekend, Tresor & Club der Visionaere. In 2011, along with a group of close friends he launched the OUT-ER label.
'The JVSB EP' kicks off with the nattily titled 'STFLSN78/M0', a deep, rolling machine groove with a clear Detroit / Basic Channel influence. Heavily delayed stabs and skittering percussion ride alongside understated melodic elements to create a hypnotic and trippy track that is truly sublime. The second A- side track '18978##' takes things down a slightly tougher and more stripped road and delivers a record that is certain to twist heads in the early hours.
The B-side kicks of with 'JREVENGE' a unique sounding record that manages to fuse elements of techno, old school house and broken beats to superb effect. This is an instant winner that is certain to have appeal across musical genres. Finally we have 'A New Session' which sees Buck drop an intense synth laden groove over tough rolling drums and bass, quality stuff.
Italy has a strong and ever evolving techno scene with some highly respected labels, but it has to be said there is something very unique about the approach of OUT-ER and with just 6 releases under their belt they are already a label not to be ignored.

Brioski steps up to the plate for the third time on Nang this year, only on this occasion he brings his debut LP titled 'Hype Nothing' and we can't wait to get it out there! It's an accomplished, quirky outing through the realms of Italo, Disco and beyond, with deep percussive roots and a penchant for analogue gear.

Eddie 'Flashin' Fowlkes has always fancied himself as the forgotten producer of the Detroit militia; a point which he explicitly points to on the title of this new release for the Detroit Wax imprint. "Unsung Hero" is, interestingly enough, quite noticeably un-Detroit sounding, rolling on a killer funky 2-step groove and breezy keys which would slot in nicely against the mellower end of UK garage. On the flip "We Need More" takes a stripped approach to house with some strange and submerged vocals from Don Q and restrained organ stabs, leaving it to the steadfast, bongo-laden groove to do most of the work. Unsung hero indeed!

2020 Midnight Visions return with another superb ep of fresh club music. The third release on the new offshoot label comes from Holland's Presk whose previously released on Ramp offshoot Fourth Wave and on Doc Daneeka's Ten Thousand Yen label.This EP follows where those left off mixing techno, skippy garage drums, and classic house styles with a close eye on the rave.The two a-side tracks 'Nobody Makes Me Do' and 'Akola' are cut from the same cloth, channeling classic electro and jackin house styles with choice vocals samples, but with an undeniable 2012 twist and are both aimed squarely at the dance.Cerano City on the flip takes a slightly different route to the dancefloor, with its hypnotic Detroit pads and definite C2 influence, in the right hands at the right time this will cause some serious damage.
This is another excellent EP from 2020 Midnight Visons and another clear statement of their intent to release forward thinking club music.

GEHM returns once again to the MATHEMATICS imprint for more banging housecuts! "FIRE & ICE" along with "FROM SPACE 3 SUNS" bring old school Chicagohouse vibes with raw drums and eerie synths. "WARM WORDS DON'T HELP AS MUCHAS A HELPING HAND" with the title track take on the flip.

It's easy to come across many techno albums which contain neither a true vision nor a concept these days. However, throughout the last three years, the Berlin sound has witnessed a revival in both method and sound aesthetic. This is largely thanks to the work of a specific cohort of artists which have recalled on past principles and methods to push things forward in the aim of creating new and original frameworks for electronic dance music. At the centre of this limited group are the hardware radicalists known as the Analogue Cops and Steffi, the passionate heart behind Dolly and Klakson. Their unification in the studio has given us some of the best productions of the past year and this latest LP serves as both a proclamation of their shared love for the analogue sound and as a breath of fresh air for techno.
'The Absolute' kicks things off with rippling snare drums, a warm bass line and a sweet cocktail of atmospherics and effects. Restoration friend, nd_baumecker joins the team on 'Jackie', where a chopped up vocal is carried backwards and forwards by an edgy drum machine workout.
'The Base Of All Matters' is a progressive, heads-down beat filled with crispy snares and disjointed chords, but the trio really get going on 'Gauge Fields' - where a frenetic mixture of synth stabs and effects is swallowed by a montrous, syncopating bass line. Side C begins with 'Unity', a powerful techno tool which has recently been remixed by Steffi herself, Blawan and the mysterious Nightjars. 'Subsequent Stages' enters lighter house territories but still retains that signature Third Side rawness and minimalism. On the flipside, 'Fundamental Forces' introduces a heavy, bumping beat floating over a sea of euphoric voices and distant melodies. Finally, the amptly names 'Shit On Me' featuring Virginia (the talented singer and songwriter responsible for the astonishing vocals tracks 'on the rousing hit Yours', and on the touching 'You Own My Mind', both released on Berlin's Ostgut Ton in Feb 2011) closes things off with a nasty, twisted percussion which evolves into a more experimental, bass-fuelled anthem for the small hours. Real techno excursions for the coinnasseurs.

Best known for his releases across Bunker, Delsin, W.T. Recordings and more under the shark loving $tinkworx moniker, US producer JT Stewart is retaining the Drexciyan themes that ran through that recent 12inch while reining in some of the dread filled textures that permeated its every pore in favour of a more classicist take on the Detroit Utopian techno vision.

Elektro Guzzi have been called a lot of things - from 'Man-Machine' to 'first ever real live techno band' - and most critics have added plenty of superlatives to their descriptions.
It's a hype you can safely believe: The energy and precision of their fabled live shows has to be experienced first hand in order to understand why Elektro Guzzi are regulars on the world's clubs and festival circuit, having played Berghain and Fabric, SÛnar and Time Warp in 2011.
It's also a hype you can safely ignore: Listening to Elektro Guzzi's music it becomes completely irrelevant that these tracks are created using guitars, drums and effect pedals. They stand tall for what they are: Spectacularly unique sounding and brilliantly flowing exercises in dark, organic techno.
From hypnotic 'Fat Pony' to 'High Noon's swirling pads and 'Jangu's steel-drum-led Jeff Mills allusions, the trio's Pomelo debut is an EP that's firmly made with the dance-floor as its inspiration and goal, refining their style while embracing new influences, such as the wobbly bass lines and bouncy UK-style grooves in 'Asteroid'.
Once again aided by the legendary mixing skills of Patrick Pulsinger at Vienna's Feedback Studios, Bernhard Hammer, Jakob Schneidewind and Bernhard Breuer are clearly at the peak of their prowess and well on the way of making Elektro Guzzi the most radical dance band of the decade.

Hot Creations offshoot Hot Waves releases it's third stupendous Hot Waves compilation this September. Released digitally on the 24th September, this double-pack 12' features six killer tracks from the 14-track compilation.
After his momentous 'I Know' release earlier this year Alexis Raphael is back with a call to arms as he sounds the 'Warhorn' delivering dance floor mayhem. Also on the A side is Lee Webster's hypnotic soul-infused slice of dirty house, 'Spend All Her Money'. Lee has recently released the great 'Freaky Bitches' EP on Glasgow Underground.
On the flip and new Italian artist Bartolemeo delivers the psychedelic 'Jean Is Not Death' a slow break underpins the swirling array of synths and eerie vocals as the track builds to into a transcendental conclusion
Side C witness Hot Creations stalwart Robert James deliver another battle weapon in the James arsenal with fantastic 'Body Movement'. Also featured on Side C and French producer teams up with Italian Dast for the brilliant 'Wanna Be', another driving house monster perfect for Hot Waves!
Finally Hot Creations artist wAFF delivers the sublime 'Sunshine', a fantastic slice of hedonistic house to finish a great double pack. Watch out for Hot Waves 4 released in November this year with some more sonic delights!

Lakosa & iO are third to grace the MadTech roster with their dancefloor banger Home Early, which features remixes by West Norwood Cassette Library and the 17 year old exceptionally talented experimental grime producer Pedro 123. Home Early is a punchy house track weighted by bass and marching with the suave speed of 4/4 house. Its sultry vocals and samples tease the determined beat that drops in and out developing a bold breakdown. The track sits nicely between house and UK bass, giving it the flexibility to sit within an array of styles in future sets and mixes. West Norwood Cassette Library's remix gives the original a disco tinge with the use of strings and vintage sounding samples. The vocal is scrunched and ricochets neatly off the carefully placed beats and samples. The Pedro 123 remix gives the original a smack of grime and a refreshing sound. Pedro stretches the vocal into a smooth echo that drifts over the top of his clipped punching bass line. A grime-tinged wobble and a bassy beat resonates beneath Pedros impeccable percussive production.

For its next release, MOS calls on the services of label head Aroy Dee and Perlon/Rush Hour man San Proper to craft a beautiful four track EP entitled 'Perfume.' The truth of the matter is, after the friends had enjoyed something of a wild night out in Amsterdam, they returned to San Proper's studio for a live session which involved a bottle of Scotch! It kicks off with the swirling pads and soft shakers of the title track which immediately sink you into some deep space atmosphere a world away from this one. When kicks do come, they are distant, much like the echoing handclaps, and the whole thing feels like a half-remembered and deepest house dream. The 'reprise' version of the same track is even more hollowed out, with less beats, greater echo and a sense of looming melancholia hanging in the air above the swirling sounds below. As for the b-sides, the first is Proper's Groove mix of 'Usher' - it's a mobile wedge of deep house where the rounded bassline takes centre stage. Around it various melodic stabs add colour and intrigue as it meanders its way forward through classic sounding hi-hat ringlets. It's mesmerising, of course, but warm and human sounding, too. Finally, Aroy steps up again to provide his melancholy mix of 'Usher' which hangs its head more than the Proper version. Here the pads disappear of to infinity and drag you right into their core whilst tense synth sounds wiggle and squiggle in the background. An EP of more mind-melting or heart warming house sounds you are unlikely to hear because Aroy Dee and his MOS are the true masters of future facing, retro-referencing house music...

Stepping outside the realms of talent hothouse Wolf + Lamb and engaging in a rare bit of extraterritorial chemistry with bold boutique label somethinksounds, Gadi Mizrahi delivers his long-awaited solo material under the alias Baby Prince. The 'Nobody EP',featuring Lonely C and hot property Miguel Campbell and Lucky Paul on remix duty, carries the unmistakable hallmarks of Mizrahi's unique and kinky productions.

Stalwart is proud to present its new release by spain's hot property, Kiko Navarro. Being an active, talented and versatile DJ, producer and remixer for almost 20 years, Kiko comes here with a balearic version of a 1986 pop hit from Swiss duo Double: "The Captain Of Her Heart".
The vocals by Detroit's Paul Randolph who has worked with Jazzanova, Moodymann, Skwerl, Simbad amongs other fit well with the cool dreamy feel of the production, leading to an instant lounge winner. On the remix tip, things are getting a little tougher: Daniel Kyo delivers 2 dance floor versions sure to capture the dance floor's energy, one old school acidic and melodic, the other being more minimalistic with a great build up all through the track. Roberto Rodriguez comes up with a more "spiritually-dancefloored" remix, keeping some of the melody from the original, while Jeff Sharel goes on a twisted downtempo side. Another various package from Stalwart for you to choose from !!

When a young guy from Copenhagen sent us his music, a single listen was all it took to notice the special talent at work here. It was obvious that these tracks deserved an immediate release.
As fate would have it, 1 years have passed since. The tracks however, never lost any of their timeless depth. Theology student Samuel André Madsen from Denmark knows how to combine single elements into a groove collage defying all stereotypes.
Northwest Cave Groove is brushed lightly against the grain, against all expectations, opens up once the chords hit.
Moodsy (12' vinyl exclusive) opens with a warm hypnotic sound carpet that is hard to resist.
The following breaks sends the track into stasis.
Finally, Achterbahn D ´Amour rebuild the original track into an epic, tercet-laden, 9 min. acid monster with a classic 808/909 barrage. At the end elegiac strings convert it into a and yet surprisingly thriving field of flowers.

Siafu's Slunk Dub starts proceedings with a slow, deep, languid house groove, propelled forward by a motoring bassline, murky acid grooves and insanely catchy keys.
Acid House survivor Neville Watson's remix is tinged with nostalgia. Slow building mid-90's piano riffs give way to a nagging acid groove and epic synths. Retro futurism of the highest order.
On the flip unknown Croatian producer Disrupted Project's 1.2 is an infectious slab of ocean deep, grainy dub techno. Drenched in warm bass and swimming in static - if Basic Channel had stepped it up a notch, this may have been the result.
Label owners Siafu provide a dub mix utilizing a minitaur bass.

Synonymous with Detroit, Techno, and Tresor, Scan 7 have remained protagonists of the Berlin-Detroit axis since it was first forged in the sweaty obsidian of the club's original Wertheim vault home. Now, over 20 years later, the masked techno collective pay tribute to the triptych's matted histories on 'The Resistance EP'.
With identifiable nods to Scan 7's Underground Resistance affiliations - the label that launched the group, and whose militaristic and political philosophies can be found littered throughout their discography - the EP begins with quintessential Detroit strings and groove before delving into darker techno territory. On the A-side, "The Resistance" offers an uplifting and delightfully nostalgic jaunt through dance music past, using all those favourite and immortal house tropes to deliver instant gratification. Meanwhile, the B-side shows off Scan 7 as masters of warm, yet shadowy techno - plus their trademark drum work - in the hypnotic "Why Not" and driving, basement-ready "In & Out Of The Groove".
