Adult dance combo Velour return with this erotically charged single. Influenced by the hedonistic golden age of 1970s swing culture but with a flirtatious hint of 90s French house. The release provides a window into a world where decadence and romance are divided by a thin velvet curtain.

Joe Babylon's Roundabout Sounds hits double figures and continues to impress with Rondenion's vinyl only '2-5-1' EP release.
The Californian label has built a superb reputation since its foundation in 2010, amassing an impressive roster of contributing names such as Theo Parrish, Rick Wilhite, Mike Huckaby, Rick Wade and XDB. Japanese DJ and producer Rondenion returns to Roundabout Sounds with '2-5-1' following his debut LP 'Luster Grand Hotel' released back in early 2013.
Goto Hirofumi aka Rondenion has been working as a recording artist since the late 90s having released on labels such as Rush Hour Recordings, Bosconic and Still Music, while more recent progressions have found him working on some projects under his own imprint Ragrange Records.
For '2-5-1' Rondenion delivers three superb originals - 'Strange Love', 'That's Right' and 'Deep Step' all ooze warmth with deep infectious drum patterns and rich bass which crown all three in a calm yet captivating quality.
D Wynn's Detroit mix utilises some biting intonations to turn 'Strange Love' into a slick and subtle acid track while Mike Grant's remix of the same original takes a different approach and applies a jazzy piano riff reverberating around soft chords and delicate percussion crafting a soulful trajectory made for the sunset. Label head Joe Babylon turns up the energy for his remix of 'Deep Step' with swollen bass, tribal drums and a catchy mainline melody.

Gari Romalis is truly old school. More than 30 years as a DJ and at the forefront of Detroit's techno scene, he's managed the city's famous Buy Rite Records and worked for Derrick May's seminal Transmat label. He's played the infamous Music Institute and the legendary Tresor too. Like we said, he's old school.
He is also a respected producer and although he may not be as prolific as some artists, when he does decide to release his music it is always worth the wait. Less is sometimes more. So we are especially delighted to welcome him to the family here at Hizou Music with the No Beat Left Behind EP that is steeped in the traditions of Detroit techno and Chicago house, that is bursting with raw energy, sonically gritty and an unmistakable authenticity that could only come from someone who was actually there; you can't fake the feeling.
Dance Demo (Da Give It Mix) is straight-up bumpin', pumpin' old-school house at its finest made squarely for the floor; there's no excuse not to dance. Pray is pure feel-good; brash, bouncy and with more than enough funk. For a truly heavyweight sound that pays homage to the underground scene of the Motor City there is Detroit Shuffle (Quick Step C Mix), while First Love (Latenight Funk Breakdown Mix) is a soulful and chunky groover perfect for the wee small hours.

Our dreams have come true! Another multi artist release off of the 7 Days Entertainment label. The 'Like Father, Like Son' EP is the first of tracks that will be on the upcoming 'Like Father, Like Son' CD. Look forward to the CD in the coming months, said to be sure fire! This release comes after the recent drops of 'Groove' by Big Strick and 'Medication' by Generation Next. As the title suggests, Big Strick and Generation Next have come together to bring us three tracks that are made for the dance floor. 'Rain Dance' by Big Strick is the first song off of the new EP. It definitely has various aspects of deep house and soul of a Detroit native. The next song is 'And You Too' by Generation Next. From some of Nexts earlier works, there is a definite improvement. This is a groove where you can get up and dance as well as casually listen. The bass makes you move and it is accompanied by a simple yet affective drum pattern. The last track is titled 'Like Father, Like Son'. Generation Next and Big Strick collaborate to bring us a melodic dance tune. This track will be played in clubs around the world. Simple chords, groovy baseline and knocking drums. This 12' is one to be respected!

The second release from Dnaut is "Sketches of a Circuit" by Craig Sherrad. In the past, Sherrad has worked on labels such as Transmat. This EP kicks off with 'We Got Extasy' - a solid 4/4 with stormy clouds over alien life forms. 'Hot Pockets' is a clubby groove with fractured melodies and glassy lines. 'Energize' featuring Riot Baby, is a hip hop inspired, dusty beat with vocals. Rough and sexy. 'Mercury Electric' has bouncy beats, with a grubby bass line and layered synths. 'Sketches of a Circuit' is a soupy bit of ambiance with sporadic gently tumbling drums, blissful chords and the slightest ripples of percussion.

Keeping up a high rate of release but just as high level of quality, the Cinematic label turns to German DJ, producer and Exploration label boss Johannes Volk for its next EP, with a typically idiosyncratic remix from Greek dub techno man XDB. Volk has been producing conceptual techno since 2006, debuting with a fine EP on the revered Axis label run by techno royalty Jeff Mills. Since then he has continued to evolve on labels like Steffi's Dolly as well as his own vinyl only imprint, and does so once again on this release.
Opening track Desert Labyrinth is built on a firm bed of rubbery kick drums and ticking percussion and is run through with sweet and serene Detroit pads that speak of the future. Some pristine melody work and a nagging, drone like bassline drags you deep down the rabbit hole.
The same track gets remixed by XDB, someone with an increasingly high profile thanks to his deep and dubby drone techno labels like Sistrum, Echochord and Diamonds & Pearls. Here he does his trippy, hypnotic, long-form thing once again and elongates Desert Labyrinth into a rolling groove peppered with mildly manic melodies and dramatic pad patterns: it's excellent stuff as ever from the Grecian.
Next up Photon Sphere is a more broken, hiccupping beat with expertly defined percussion. It's a jacking track that will make bodies move on the dancefloor but is far from just functional fodder thanks to the delicate way in which pads and synths are layered on top of each other to levitating effect.
Charging Particles is a quick licked march through a darkened cosmos with curious chords, lashing FX and a firm focus on the future, as techno should always have. Deep and warm; heady yet propulsive it's emotive techno for mind, body and soul.

Sakro is back with a new vinyl, perfect for the start of the mild and sweet sunny days! This time, the french label offers something smooth and fresh. Sakro who is a young producer from Mexico, delighted us with these deep house gems. For the vinyl, he produced 3 original tracks. I'v added to this package a remix french the talented S3A, doing really dirty house grooves at the moment. let's talk about the music...

The Turquoise Blue imprint has taken huge strides since launching in 2011, the attentive A&R nature of the label-founders, has led to original material and remix work on the label from the likes of Alex Arnout, Laura Jones, SLOK and Basic Soul Unit. Here the label enlists the services of Spanish duo Javier Carballo and M.A.M who between them have released with many leading modern imprints in the industry, such as Surface, One Records, FINA and Back and Forth.
The original mix of title track 'Complementos' kicks things off, tipping the focus towards a raw, drum-driven vibe, as the duo employ an amalgamation of organic percussion, with penetrating low-end tones adding weight to the groove. Things slowly bloom in this state with subtle delays tucked away in the background adding a further depth, before the centre stages see an smooth pad line eased in, adding an ethereal shimmer to the sturdy rhythm based cut. Hyped Parisian artist, Djebali, reshapes 'Complementos' next with his 'Cities Remix', the mix embraces a rugged feel with loose drum programming, while a resonant sub-bass hook adds energy to the movement of the record, and dubbed out Rhodes licks add musicality.
'Snake City' opens the latter half of the single, again seeing the duo opt for a natural percussive vibe, yet skillfully blending this with gritty electronic elements, such as sweeping synths and an acid infused bass hook. Man of the moment Adam Shelton turns in a mix of 'Snake City' to follow, the One Records head honcho, stamps his trademark house sound on the original number, with shuffling snares, hi-strings and ever-evolving automation touches such as expansive reverb bursts and elongated delays on the vocal snippets, as expected pure class."

B.Riddim is Luis Sequiera, a Portuguese living in London. Magic My Ear is his second ep for Third Ear, following the (In) Theory ep in 2012. Formerly a driving force in the influential Portuguese rap group G-Ward under the name Bellatur, Luis followed his love of Jamaican Dub using electronics to arrive at a sound which is identifiable through the sum of its parts but which is quite unique. Music like this might reasonably be expected to come from Bristol, given Bristol's musical history. The 4/4 groove is slightly more emphasized here than the tracks on (in Theory) but it is a subtle pulse most of the time with the bass and drums providing the groove and the rhythms under cascading old-skool rave melodies and arpeggios, with live melodica played by Luis. Dub and psychedelic sensibilities are to the fore on Transformed Love and Magic My Ear, carefully controlled acid-house echoes through the towering bass and whiplash drums of Dropping Your Soul. Twisted electronica floats and weaves through the rolling bass of Left Side.

LPH's second release of the spring is also the NYC label's second split 12'. But instead of featuring a couple of sun-soaked L.A.-based outfits as with Cosmic Kids and Fingerpaint's Reality On The Horizon EP, label heads Nik Mercer, Jacques Renault, and James Friedman set out to Sweden to grab three tracks by M.D.C. (otherwise known as Muslim Disco Club) and Name In Lights, plus a remix by Studio Barnhus' Kornél Kovács.
The appropriately named Stockholm Stories EP kicks off with M.D.C.'s 'Alma,' a sultry snake-charmer of a boogie built around a funky bassline that's equal parts Middle Eastern groove and disco thump. The Kovács remix is decidedly more club-oriented—it prominently features police sirens and some very American vocal samples, including one by a certain Queen we all know well.
On the flip are two originals by Name In Lights, the production trio M.D.C. is a member of. 'Curious Yellow' is a moody, deep house burner with an elastic bass and elegant synth washes throughout. 'Blue Swede' runs with that vibe, but cuts to the chase, instead focusing on a more straightforward build, fortified with plenty of hi-hats and a bouncy, hypnotic hook that distorts your sense of time.
The record functions as a sort of dethawing agent helping us transition from the cold, severe, and dark winter into sunnier, brighter days ahead.

Brooklyn producer black light smoke first appeared on Scissor and Thread in summer of 2011, simultaneously unleashing two formidable vinyl EPs: "Switchback", charted by the likes of Andrew Weatherall and Appleblim, and "Lovework" with its infectious hook and remix by DJ T. Now back with his thirds EP, "Rough Cuts", black light smoke has once again broken the rules of what a killer dance record can be. The first cut, "That's My Yes", drops like a classic house anthem: dirty, simple and bound to shake up the dance floor. Then, like a blast from the past, the tittle track, "Rough Cuts", evokes '90s-type break beats saturated in dark chords and dirty spoken vocals. On the B side, "Dreams" flows just like it sounds, encapsulating the essence of this EP: nostalgia, soundscapes, and ass-shaking beats. This record plays like a true statement- proving that artful expression and house music can be one and the same.

Since Jasper & Maarten played at one of the first ever-Concrete party's called 'Twsted II', they knew this Parisian movement was something rare and unique.
As an ode they made these tracks keeping in mind these magic early Sunday morning hours. The result is two melodic and atmospheric influenced tracks. Their brother in crime Makam is responsible for the remix. Machine soul techno music are the keywords of this Paris-Amsterdam affair.

Politics Of Dancing brings together two DJs and music producers who are strong figures of parisian deep house nights : S.M.A.L.L &
PACO. Guillaume Paco is the creator and main deejay of one of the oldest party in Paris, Open House, and he has been touring clubs
all over the world for more than 15 years now. David Matarasso aka S.M.A.L.L is a renowned producer and very talented deejay, who
has already signed on the finest labels such as Esperanza, Catwash, Brique Rouge, Overall, Mixx Records to name but a few.
S.M.A.L.L & Paco have been deejaying together for more than 10 years, and it was a natural process for them to make music and start
their own imprint : POLITICS OF DANCING RECORDS. On this first release, three tracks : two original creations, and a remix from
Djebali, one of the rising stars of Paris demanding club scene.
On the A side of this vinyl only release, "People's Choice" is a smooth, incredibly funkin', nu disco house number. The kind of track
that will definitely fill the floor of any club worthy of the name. On the B side, "Definition", a deep, yet powerful House killer, a peak time
track with an infectious bass line and typical New York style vocals. And last but not least, Djebali's remix of "Definition", brings us the
perfect final touch. It's a subtle, groovy and percussive deep house interpretation, that makes this first EP the kind of record you don't
want to leave at home on your way to your best gig. Limited 300 copies, vinyl only!

Here comes the first release lf the outstanding super disco stars HARD TON on our label! With A-side track RISE UP we have the first track with chart potential on our label we'd say. We love it anyway! : )
B1 track WORK THAT BODY shows off the heavier jacking side of HARD TON and B2 MONOTONE rounds up the EP with its uplifting house chords.
Not our average cup of tea, but we fckng love it.
Instead of boring you to death with just another info text, we copy these words from I-D Magazine about HARD TON:
HARD TON are the Italian duo with the larger than life disco sound and a surprising love of met- al. Fused together in 2008 from the musical loins of DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max. Sylvester-styled falsettos conjure up memories of smoky dancefloors during the heady days of HI-NRG, which combined with a contemporary sound of accelerated beats and screaming acid basslines, shows a nod to the past can result in a slap across the face for the present. Using analogue and vintage gear, from the 303, 606, 707, Oberheim DMX, Korg Monopoly, MS20, Prophet V5, the music is as organic as synthetic music can be, their equipment living and dying by its own unpredictable rules. Mechanized rumblings from the one of the pioneering cities of the Industrial Revolution.
III Rivers takes the militant work ethic of the cotton trade and transports it to a nuclear based factory-line based on Humankind's next proposed landing bay.
When the inevitable apocalypse does occur, it'll be these vibrations soundtracking the construction of our new civilization.
Produced by Voiceless, an unknown artist(s) currently sculking in Manchester's subterranean dwellings and disused mill spaces
The EP begins with "Drop Them (Just Like That)" which soundtracks a million sub-human slaves operating the machinery required to mine resources for our new home. The repetitive kick and bass groove locking down the lesser-humans and forcing them to work while drifting sine waves and concentric tape echoes send binaural transmissions direct to the cerebrum, subconsciously programming them for later life.
"True Dat" deploys a stark, alien sound palette on the listener, preparing them for darker days ahead - we are at war within the galaxy and Voiceless is at the front line, defending Earth through a barrage of machine gun hi-hats and thick, penetrating leads.
Finally "Atlas" keeps the energy and narcosis running high. A flat-lined technoid acid attack with twangy stabs and a heavy sub make for post 4AM strobe machine abuse and uncontrollable devotion to the speaker stacks...
Just look out for Martians on the dancefloor!

Numero2, a change of pace from his scintillating tech and house releases into the world of the kind of murky deep funk being perfected by Anhura offshoot Anhura Vinyl. On the label's second release, the grooves come exploding out of the black wax on 'Ghost Inside' rather than being restrained by pesky digital limitations. "Ghost Inside" is also amply supported by the world's top producers on the remix including: Nitin & Butter the Butcher, Martin Dawson, and Thyladomid, for a complete and satisfying late summer dance floor essential.

After an impressive start Halo Varga's Surface imprint readies its third release from Manchester-based producer Benedict.
With releases on Freeerange, Hudd Traxx, Morris Audio and Urban Torque, Benedict's CV speaks for itself and his debut on Surface showcases what he does best -
refined deep house with garage overtones that makes it appeal somewhat timeless.
Complementing the original are three remixes from a selection of house music aficionados. First up is New York house cat Alix Alvarez who turns in an upbeat tracky take on AAPTOBG.
Pezzner delivers a brooding, techy re-work that builds into a beautifully uplifting yet restrained breakdown that gives the listener a brief moment of euphoria before that switches straight back into hypnotic groove.
Fresh off the back of an outstanding release on Mobilee, San Fran duo Safeword explore a jazz infused dubbed-out tip drawing out the original's vocal over its course to great effect.

The 19th release on We Play House Recordings (not counting the vinyl-only coloured ones) comes from two trusted label names: WPH's Welsh man with various plans Luv Jam and SRF Inc, a moniker for German Wunderkind Dynamodyse. TIP!
What can we say about Luv Jam other than that his styles and persona are genuinely unique Since his WPH debut his name and fame have been constantly rising with releases on labels like Phonica, Throne Of Blood and Rawax. All trusted houses of vinyl and good house music, but surely you can say that We Play House Recordings is his spiritual home. So let the music speak, because 'We Play Mouse' and 'We Play Ooidonk' talk that classic Luv Jam walk!
SRF Inc is everything that Dynamodyse is not, SRF Inc is everything that Dynamodyse is too. Mathias 'Matze' Schmitt like to collaborate with like-minded souls. Be it San Soda, Ante Perry or simply himself. Just like Luv Jam's music talks for him, so does it for SRF Inc. He has collaborated with people on 'How To Eat Music' and 'Honigtränen', but with whom will not be revealed. Safe to say that these two beauties of tracks will find a long and lasting life in the bag of many DJ's and music lovers.

Home to some of his more Balearic moments most notably the epic Panorama Suite.
The A side is Dovodah! which begins with some Nu-Med atmospheres and acoustic guitar conjuring up 80's Italian beach parties. The loose percussion and a heartfelt vocal (calling the unmistakable sound of Dovodah!) carry you along before dropping into an early 90's italian progressive vibe. Genuinely a real post sunset bomb.
Doug Lee turns Dovodah into a more moody basement soundsystem banger -heavy bassline and distorted synths. This needs to be played Loud!
The B side Burning Palms is a moment of sexy strummed acoustic guitar and percussion. Sounding like A Mountain of One on a dusty desert vacation. Summers surely round the corner.
Hardway Bros Sean Johnston brings this tune back inside for some heads down dancefloor vibes while retaining alot of the original feel.
Like a gypsy acid mid tempo house party. I want to go. IIB back with a bang !

The second instalment in Midnight Shift's remix series sees Eddie Niguel and Juju & Jordash put their magic touch on already well-received tracks by Iron Curtis (Johannes Paluka) and Detroit veteran Terrence Parker.
On the A-side, duo Juju & Jordash let their love for the jazz and experimental shine through. From a straight-up melodic house number by TP to some form of beautiful ugly, the track leads in with a deceiving pop bassline before turning into a broken, asylum hideout for the deranged. Thankfully for us listeners, it fades off with grace.
'Never Give Up' is Iron Curtis's contribution to the label (Shift 002), which saw two versions of a deeply complex composition and an inclusion in Ian Pooley's Raveline Mix Session. Here, Eddie Niguel of 'Absolute' fame turns the intention into a full onslaught aimed at the clubber's jugular, pausing just long enough for a twisted break. Another hit out of the ballpark by Eddie
