New talent from Detroit. HazMat's Infinite Silence ep is as deep as they come, and is the first release in a new series of Detroit artist releases from Third Ear. Following on from Third Ear's landmark Detroit Beatdown series, the New Detroit Deep series of releases is just that. HazMat has played keyboards for artists such as Bilal and Mary J Blige, as well as Detroit legends Kenny Dixon Jr, Amp Fiddler and Delano Smith. Along the way, he started to make his own beats and his own tracks and is now ready to take things to the next level. He also plays keys with Motown legacy artists' touring bands, such as The The Four Tops, The Detroit Spinners, The Gap Band. It's not all about the beats and the synths, though. HazMat's work using the Talkbox is right up there.

Mathu delivers 4 spacy Techno bombs on the new Libertine Traditions, anthem alert!

Solar Phenomena welcomes singular rhythm master STL for a new EP that offers four fantastic tracks of dubby house. It is the label's fourth release and finds the Something label boss in a typically inventive mood.

First track 'Spy vs Spy' opens things with shuffling drum loops and eerie synth details that hypnotises over seven minutes. 'Atomsmasha' has wooden hits and rough shakers peppering a soft, imperfect groove as awkward chords bring an unhinged edge to the mix. On the flip, 'Summer Breeze & Brotherhood' has loose keys doing an off kilter dance over STL's trademark low-key drums where 'Freebird' zones you out with long held chords and detuned keys as cloudy, dusty kicks bring a barely-there groove deep down low. You know what to get from STL by now, but at the same time you can never get enough.

The UK House legend Sir Lord Comixx is back 20 years later...Splendid 90's House music taken from his old DAT. Member of the classic label Ugly music & half of Future Monument with Justin David, he created an unique style of House music that goes across time. Back in the days his music has been enjoyed by many known names, such as Derrick May, Carl Craig, Blake Baxter and Danny Tanaglia. He delivered here 5 timeless tracks with the strict idea of taking your shoes on to dance and spiritually travel !

DUANE: the former Teenage Weirdo, the current Brand New Dog, presents a three-track single full of funky electro-pop from the musical motor city of Detroit. Lo-fi freedom, Casio keys + Casio key drums: the digital sound is here no more. DUANE's sound merges with the slick production skills of Brett Cimbalik on the Rollhaven Refunk' remix of DUANE's classic Brand New Dog, Same Old Tricks."

Rob Amboule is a relatively fresh name on the scene, the young artist stepped onto 2020Vision's radar following the London based producers self released white-label, KERRI01. A record which put Amboule on the map and was heavily supported by the likes of Paul Woolford, who closed the Space Terrace with one of the cuts last year, and Heidi on her Radio 1 show. This introductory single has now led to a full EP of original material for 2020 here, joining the likes of Ejeca, Huxley and Maya Jane Coles on the roster.

The release kicks off with 'Kerri', a raw deep house cut, embracing a classic aesthetic, the record employs an amalgamation of cutting chords, blooming pads and vocal snippets, running alongside swinging 909 drums. 'Pushin' On' follows, displaying a more understated, reserved approach to Amboule's productions, as he tightly blends swirling pads, resonant synths, and shuffling percussion, with sensual vocal lines uttering the tracks title. Amboule adds a further musicality to the track in the centre stages, throwing in a tension building synth string for good measure.

Last up to close the single is 'Part Three', taking on a retro US House approach, with its crunchy claps, warm, evolving Rhodes melodies and stabbing bass hooks, these elements build the foundations of the record while subtle nuances in the drum programming and background atmospherics add character.

After Zine's 'M--E' EP started the climb to the peak of the 'Mind Everest' the crew's journey continues with this versatile four track EP by fairly unknown but up-and-coming producer Lowshore. His debut record provides a fine selection of superb crafted house with a not to deny touch of funk and jazz influence featuring a tooled bassline cut, a drum infected sampler session surrounded by an emotive peaktime jam and an ambient run out on the flipside. Each release comes in a black screenprinted sleeve with an embossed photographic fine art print.

Number six emerged deepest Devon, UK! Jimmy Winkles, the most notorious chap on the south shore, has been troubling up with Midlight at BAR Rotterdam, Intergalactic FM, GCW Radio & now in the foreverness with his well tripped out tribal house of tomorrow. Mark du Mosch did the fix on the flip. This mighty West Coast cat has been a fav of the Midlight brothers since they moved to the Harbor city of Rotterdam. Finally we welcome him to the imprint. Announcing their second release on their own label,the duo from Barcelona is ready to deliver 4 obscure Techno Acid tracks.

One of the best Detroit DJs during the late '80s, Kelli Hand set up her own Acacia Records in 1988 and later began producing albums in earnest during the mid-'90s, recording precise acid stormers as well as a growing number of tracks more on the verge of jazzy progressive house.

Dive-bar turned record label Paradise Palms presents a brand new 7' from veteran producer Justin Robertson, a man with over 23 years experience as an innovator and restless proponent of fascinating forward-thinking music.

His tireless work ethic has ensured that he remains one of the most relevant and exciting DJ/Producers around, as a whole new generation of electronic enthusiasts will sweatily testify. Justin's latest incarnation as The Deadstock 33s has been garnishing lavish praise from figureheads such as Andrew Weatherall and Erol Alkan, as well as a diverse cross-section of fresh talent, from Daniel Avery to Eats Everything.

Cyborg Holiday Snaps is a double-whammy 7' of alien machine funk crafted by the rave pilot himself. The titular track launches headrst into hissing electro territory with pounding rhythms and Detroit-strength bass stabs, while Numerical Discord is a low-slung 110bpm Acid weapon.

Cyborg Holiday Snaps is available on 7' on 4th December and digital on 8th December, distributed by Rubadub/EPM. The record was mastered by John Vic at Finiex Studios in Edinburgh.

Anthiliawaters has set out to explore the cold and almost isolated unknown with their stunningly lush Detroit-influenced album. Warm, jazzy synth pads supplying a melodic counterpart to the softly crunching, electro-tinged beats. A solid home listening fare for the living room that draws parallels to the beautiful and mysterious world of Drexciya and almost continues the journey of the highly popular The Other People Place - "Lifestyles Of The Laptop Cafe". Since 1996, an accomplished career as a producer, and sound engineer has granted him releases on labels including Tresor, Delsin, Void, Archive, Rush Hour and Ferox, as well as a monthly residency at Tresor in Berlin

Matthew Puffett, the artist most commonly known as Future Beat Alliance, presents a retrospective of selected works under his most lauded moniker. The name - taken from an Afrika Bambaataa sleeve - may have been a nod to the early-80s hip hop that was his first musical love while growing up in Oxford, but the music bore the unmistakable influence of the Detroit techno that had become his obsession. 'Collected Works 1996-2017' maps an illustrious discography over two decades and will be released on the artist's own imprint - FBA Recordings. Preceding the compilation, a brand new track entitled 'Chemical Cloud' will also be released. The realisation of this project follows a 3 year period of co-writing, programming and engineering on the new UNKLE album -The Road' part 1, which is now released.

Halocyan outlines computer music's many future possibilities, while remaining actively mindful of its one and only history.

Having released material from such luminaries as Dosem, Paul Woodford, Oliver Ho, Extrawelt, and Joey Beltram - Halocyan continues to assert its influence with their next record: a 2-part EP from Apollo and R&S affiliate Dave Angel.

Founder of Rotation Records and originally hailing from Chelsea, Angel is a Techno emissary whose intelligent, Funk-licked productions have propelled him through a long and illustrious career through which he has consistently branded his own stamp on Electronic Music whilst also remaining highly relevant to modern listeners.

It's this that lends him perfectly to a record with Halocyan who do what they do best in presenting his 'Incoming' EP: a sincerely-rooted collection that comes backed up by label favourite Hackman on remix duties.

'Portrait' kicks things off with jubilant melodies rippling atop sharp, whetted percussion before minor-key sweeps bleed in and bring with them a degree of pensive tension.

A buoyant bass line propels the track from Dave Angel - Incoming EP beneath before Hackman offers up a deftly swung revision rich with his sturdy
subs and idiosyncratic percussive flutters.

Digital Traffik is back again to celebrate 10 years of activity in electronic music. This is the first vinyl only release of a long series of this 2016. It's a VA composed by 4 great track from 4 big artists : Tania Vulcano, AudioHell, Doomwork and Jose De Divina.

Tania Vulcano, the queen of DC10, delivered a deep underground track, groovy and trippy mixed with rides, hypnotic voices and a powerful Kick.
AudioHell, the founder of Digital Traffik, presents another amazing track directly from his famous recording studios in Venice. The song "Togheter" is inspired by old school and Detroit sounds of the 90s.
On the B Side, the Italian duo "Doomwork" after theirs recent release on Ovum produced an awesome song "Slices" : massive techno groove with an hypnotic dub & deep sound.
Jose De Divina, another hystorical Dj of Dc10 and Space Ibiza, is back on Digital Traffik with his new production : "Additive". This one is a celebration of the sounds that in the 90s helped grow the uderground movement : fat kick, delicious pads and amazing deep vibes.

Psyfunk is a record series curated by Franco Cinelli, driving force of the South American underground dance music landscape and Argentina's most respected producer and DJ. With Psyfunk, Cinelli provides a selection of minutely crafted and slowly-evolving extended DJ tools.

For this third chapter, Cinelli calls on young upcoming talents from Argentina and Uruguay.
Opening up the A.side, Bodeler lands with his reduced ghettotek funk, which is already one of the deadly dancefloor weapons of some of the most respected DJs out there. Irresistible!

Following up, is Richard Hz. Other very promising artist on Argentine grounds, Hz provides here a burning break track, with clear touches of psychedelic acid and mystery. An ideal track to keep the floor floating in thin air.

On the flip! Alan Castro, hailing from the Atlantic coast of Bahia Blanca, produces here an intimate number packed with melancholy. Jazzy relaxing swings under a sea of glitches, afterhour material.

Bringing this record to the runout is a wonderful and rare appearance of the Uruguayan Z@p. 'Mental Telepathy' is resolutely funky and a clear flashback to the US Midwest right when house became techno.

With focus battling between murderous bass and bewildering soundscapes throughout the EP, the choice of three energies and tones makes Kalawila's debut a surely applicable dance floor tool for techno and house devotees alike.

Stockholm/Berlin-based Kalawila debuts on his own imprint, Mountain Explosion Device, with an EP made for warehouses.'Slagsmål utbröt på Mount Everest EP' is an ensemble of three dark house tracks on the verge of techno, each sonically similar and yet delicately versatile in function.

'Slagsmål utbröt på Mount Everest' is a forward-leaning and fast paced roller with long build-up. Meanwhile 'Khajuraho' is steadily reclined on cooler percussion and kindred warehouse bass-sounds. 'Pluto får sparken' then shifts focus slightly to the peripheries in a deeper passage of harmonics and reverberations.

Blake Baxter is undoubtedly Detroit techno royalty. His unique style and sound has always found fans around the world since his first releases back in the late 80's. We decided to reach out to Blake here at Mint Condition HQ and we were hugely under-prepared for the reply we'd get back from him. 'Master tapes!' we said - 'Yes' said Blake. OK, who wouldn't wish to hear unreleased mixes and versions of some bonafide Detroit techno classics we thought That's what you're going to get with Mint Condition number 12, some unheard, unreleased, straight from Blake Baxter's 4 track tape stash HEAT. As you're all aware, 1991's seminal 'Prince of techno' EP originally came out on Underground Resistance and we've been given exclusive permission to reissue the EP (almost) in it's entirety, the only difference being that this pressing doesn't include 'Vision of truth' and features unheard versions of the other tracks that appeared on that EP as well as the original, classic mix of 'When a thought becomes you'. Yes, Blake dug deep for us in his archive and we are proud to present this important document of classic Detroit techno, never before heard - until now. Exciting stuff!

Featuring Detroit local soul artist, Coko Buttafli laying down some blistering vocals with a clearly positive house music message, on top of live percussion and keys, and bold analog drum rhythms, pontch has created a solid diva-house gem.
The sneaky festival-ready banger, 'Loose', performed, mixed, and overdubbed live, provides some fantastic contrast and versatility to the release.

A Mr. G-esque remix by DJ phenom Just Alexander and the musical journey of Topher Horn's evolving and deep version on the flipside make this a well rounded record that will undoubtedly stay in your bag for a good long while, and will find its way back in for years to come.
