Meo, pseudonym of Daniele Mei, is a cosmic dj from Rimini, Italy. Fine Corsa was his first record, released in 1985. In those days Meo was active in what was later considered to be the most famous Afro Dance Club in Italy: Melody Mecca. This release is an intensely creative hybrid of many styles and many colors. Even up until the present day this record continues to be very important in some preeminent European clubs

This vinyl was not pressed since 1984 and today it returns to record
stores for fans of the Italo Disco genre.

Third release for the young label Slow Bistro records, created by Slow-L in 2019. This is a brand new 2021 never released before 12” after two sold-out releases in 2019, we sold lots of these at french shop Dizonord and are happy to share the tip now.
Italo disco & new wave inspired tracks rather than pure house, these are still fitted for the clubs. Great pictures from the French Japanese artist Maï Saikuza on rear and front sleeve.

Brera Groove returns with its second vinyl release, Brera Groove 002, a various artists collection blending late ’70s disco with the early shimmer of Italodisco. Brera Groove, curated by Tamati and inspired by the artistic soul of Milan’s Brera district, expands here with contributions from Luksek & Lucio Balla, The Rejected, and Lillo Carillo, each bringing their own twist to the sound. LA based label Higher Ground debuts at Prime with London based artist and 'Semi Delicious' label head Demi Riquísimo, who has earned global recognition for his unique acid and italo house inspired sound. His first proper release on Higher Ground 'Windows 95 Anthem' follows recent notable tracks on Ninja Tune, DJ Tennis' Life & Death and his own label Semi Delicious, as well as collaborations with Carlita, UNKLE, TSHA, and more. The tracks receive remix treatments from tastemakers Spray and Chloe Caillet, with Chloe's remix arriving shortly after the launch of her own label imprint and global party series.

It's been 32 years since Hyper Go Go's 'High' crashed into life, combining the best of Italo House and rave into an exuberant, floor destroying piano anthem.

Fast forward to 2024 and HOOJ reissue this 92 classic with the Original & Cloud 9 Mixes on the A side with 2 newer remixes on the B side.

Remixes come from Fast rising Scottish duo Testpress, who strip things back a bit, working the original riffs around a thumping kick and hooky new synth line & Kyle Starkey, the youngster takes no prisoners, tearing into the OG with slamming 135bpm drums, big drops, the odd snare roll, and lots of drama, for an energy driven update.

Adelaide based producer Mell Hall follows up her ARIA chart topping club hit with 'Can't Stop Now', a collaboration with Italian producer Babert. The new single samples the classic 80's hit 'Don't Go', by Yazoo.

A holy grail for fans of French boogie, early hip hop, Arabic funk and Balearic bops,"Ettika" has been seriously sought after since Vidal Benjamin found it in the 1€ bin back in 2006. Teasing the ears of the underground via Vidal's 'Balearic Nightmare' mix for Noncollective, copies of the original were soon snapped up completely, and the later adopters were sated by a Blackdisco edit from Alexis Le-Tan (himself gifted Vidal's second copy), which is now also rare as hen's teeth. The fervour for the track is easy to understand.

Underpinned by an endlessly buoyant bass groove, chanted female vocals dart out the speakers like a post- modern mantra while synth vamps flare in stuttering stereo.

Middle-Eastern motifs add an air of mystery, but this truly belongs in a dance floor utopia. That the track was the product of a 'back-to-work' scheme aimed at unemployed immigrant youth in Rouen only adds to the appeal. Led by teacher Bernard Guégan, a quartet of students delivered lyrics in French and Arabic inspired by their rejection letters, serving a little social commentary and a lot of funk. If you're mad on Ahmed Fakroun and Shams Dinn, or even those folks in the Bush of Ghosts, then this is a must have for you.

The former furnish the 12" with two radical takes, the dreamy downtempo stroll of their French Remix - all unhurried percussion, Gilmour-riffing and coastal élan - and the peaktime pump of their Arab Remix, which transports the original vocal into a land of desert new beat and Balearic trance with a little space left for some frazzled fretwork. If you've followed their work with Claremont you know the quality on show.

XTCR, in collaboration with Mondo Phase Rec, is excited to launch the first release of its catalog, an album by the timeless maestro Maurizio Dami, aka Alexander Robotnick. Four solid tracks from the album ‘Oh No…Robotick!’ that boldly, personally, and eclectically explore the various genres that have inspired the maestro over the years. Among these tracks lingers a melancholic fog made of 90’s flavored synths and sensual vocals with obvious Italo Disco reminiscences, emerging from a cyberpunk past. A unique record that once again emphasizes the greatness of this artist.

French artist Franck Roger is one of house music's most solid and consistent performers, which is why Seasons Limited has invited him back for a new EP. Mystic Vibes, a new label run by Groovin Recordings team focused on deep-tech electronic tunes, debuts its first release with a stunning song in the contemporary electronic scene: "Need You Now" performed by Howling and remixed by Adriatique.

Howling are Australian solo artist and member of The Acid RY X, and Frank Wiedemann, one half of Ame.

"Need You Now" is taken from Howling’s sophomore full-length album “Colure”, originally released in 2020. Electronic production/DJ duo Adriatique share a remix of 'Need You Now’, providing their own unique take on the track, which can be considered already an instant electronic classic.

AZOTO is a Celso Valli’s project, one of the most important exponents of Italo-disco. He pioneered the whole italo sound, with incredibly ahead of their time productions going right back back too ’70’s. “DISCO FIZZ” contain ‘San Salvador’, one of the most covered disco tracks of all time, which has reared its head under countless of remixes and cover versions, however if you dig a little deeper this album is packed full of incredible and timeless italo disco: ‘Anytime Or Place’ literally jumps out the speakers to get you moving, while ‘Exalt-Exalt’ showcases their take on the darker side of electronic disco. “DISCO FIZZ” bridging traditional disco from america ‘s 70s with the spaceage syntheziser/vocoder powered Italian brand of Disco that was beginning to invade with new innovations at that time (1979).

The record is officially reprinted on LP for the 1st time from original master tapes, and includes a sticker inside. A must-have for any DJs.
