Von Erckerts interpretation of an ,Album' is a concept containing a story. The Collaboration between Tyler Pope (formerly member of Warp Records signed Band ,!!!') and him combines Krautrock, Brazil and Techno. The track ,We Flow' with Chicago based singer Amalia is reduced to the essence of House & Disco where ,Hustle With The Big Boys' featuring Hodini & Am Kinem, ,There's No Wrong' featuring Retrogott, ,Infintiy' featuring May and ,First Day Of A Dollar' links electronic and organic sound. Damiano breaks up Techno elements with House in ,BUBBLES' and joins them into togetherness. Not least there's all the way through the album a thread of Soul shown by collaborations with Miles Bonny on ,LOVE LOVE LOVE', Tito Wun ,Work for Love', ,New Ehrenfeld Swing' and ,Jai Alai'.

Fresh from London, Fulham young blood Joe Corti starts a new London imprint, China White. The first entry to the catalog is a four track EP coming from himself: reprising the filtered disco house vibes that caught ears on his past releases on the A-side; and ditching the samples to flex a darker, deeper side on the B. The label will be a solid home for productions from Joe and like-minded fellow friends.

How much do you really know about Nina Kraviz She's a Russian techno DJ, an accomplished producer, one of dance music's breakthrough names of the last five years. True enough, but there's so much more to her story than that. She's one of electronic music's most interesting characters, someone who has stuck to her musical guns since day one, someone who has wide-ranging roots that run deep in the past, yet she's also the embodiment of the future. Her signature sound is a raw blend of house and techno with a very acidic feel. If that feels very now, Kraviz has a lot to do with it, which is why she was asked to mix the latest instalment of !K7's landmark 'DJ Kicks' series. The result is up there with the best in the 'DJ Kicks' back catalogue. It's a sublimely crafted set, deep and trippy, like you've tuned into a mysterious pirate radio station in the dead of the night or stumbled across a stream from an illegal party. Fourteen of the 30 tracks are exclusives from Kraviz's òðèï label, including three of her own: 'Mystery', 'IMPRV' and 'Prozimokompleme'.
'People probably know me for my Dance Mania-inspired, stripped down jacking groove style of DJing but the idea behind this particular mix was to create more of a trippy underwater vibe. A mysterious, sonic journey, inspired by the times I used to listen to late night radio growing up and imagine that all the sounds brought to me via the radio waves came directly from space.'

Broken District is a new label launched by the creative minds of Jus Jam, Momla and Antwan. The project is born with the idea of exploring alternative music styles that blend the influences of the label's creators, including Jazz, House-Music, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, and more experimental sounds.

In order to give a global overview of the label's territory, Broken District kicks-off with a series of VA EPs, here delivering its second volume.

Pinkman delivers another sturdy record for the connoisseurs of discomforting electronics. The second 5 Years Of Tears release unifies 6 artists, each with their own interpretation of the labels ill-famed sound, embodied in vibrating basslines, metallic beats, and corrosive acid. Second up on our Bobby Boyd unreleased recording we have some dope mid 80s material from Bobby, 'I Like What You Do To Me' is Boogie / Proto House joint that is totally my bag, feels like it should be in a 80s movie weightlifting montage (in a good way) it just works on the dance floor so well.

On the flip things get even stronger with the proto-house banger 'Girl Like You' a sick soulful number with with a biggest swinging kick drum I have ever heard, both proper club material.

If your not a rare soul or disco collector Bobby's name might not be a name your familiar with but as one of the founder members of Lafayette Afro Rock Band you will have experienced his music and influence which is far reaching.

Snips is the founder of Barbershop Records and co founder of Livin' Proof, with over 15 years experience as one of Londons most prolific DJs and over 10 years worth of production credits across Hip Hops underground. 2018 has seen Snips emerge as a budding solo artist, fusing the production styles of Hip Hop, House, Soul and Funk in the same fashion as he is known to do behind the turntables.

With his debut album "The Barbershop" making waves on both sides of the Atlantic, garnering support from a cross genre selection of heavyweights such as Karizma, Benji B, Eli Escobar, House Shoes, J Rocc and Henry Wu, Snips returns on his own label Barbershop Records with his first independent release "London Livin'". The EP draws on a range of influences including Soulful House, Jazz Funk, Nu Disco, Neo Soul, RnB & Hip Hop and features some of Londons finest emerging artists including Vocalist Emmavie, Spoken word artist William Stowe and North London rapper Awate.

In 1982, a group of friends deep into post-punk, jazz and dub got together in Mad Professor's studio and lay down their youthful interpretation of a NYC disco cut. Their unique take included trombone, vibraphone, piano, and an ital dose of tape delay. They called the song Trouble and released two versions (vocal and dub) on their friend Tony McDermott's !Drum! label with artwork inspired by Russian Constructivism. TIP!

The group, comprised of Justin Langlands, Chrysta Jones, John Schofield, Tom Dixon, and Dave Killen, decided to call themselves A-Team, having no idea that Mr.T and Co. would make them almost totally ungoogle-able 30 years later. The result of their adolescent studio idealism sounds akin to otherdisco misfits like Arthur Russell, Maximum Joy, Talking Drums and wouldn't sound out of place on legendary NYC label 99 Records. Remastered with an extended Club Dub formaximum dance-floor action.

Harlem's legendary Disco label Queen Constance has long been a cult favourite among fans of underground dance music for decades.

One of many labels operating under the equally legendary P&P family of imprints Land Of Hits was operated by one Peter Brown, a truly colossal figure in NYC's music scene, it's catalogue still fascinates music lovers to this day. Covering a wide range of styles including Gospel, early Rap and Disco the label's output continually finds it way into the playlists of respected DJ's and selectors across the globe. Mistafide's colossal old-school rap behemoth 'Equidity Funk' has long been a record that makes the serious collectors salivate and is now here in full 12" form repress, too legit to quit.

Not much is known about the crew behind 'Mistafide', their government names are listed online but this is the only record they put out using this name. Suffice to say, this has no impact on the fury and style with which the MC's deliver their raps, backed with the studio nous of impresario Peter Brown. Across 12 minutes 'Equdity Funk' is a slamming Disco-rap monster, interpolating elements of the evergreen B-boy jam 'Theme From SWAT' it sounds like everyone just got into the studio and went for it. In the style of the times this is the real hip-hop flavour, a live band, some MC's and some death defying bars being dropped, proper old school. A truly rare recording, 'Equidity Funk' has been one of those records fans of the Disco-rap era have been fiending for for decades - often commanding prices over the $1000 mark you can now grab this slice of essential NYC street Funk.

This is a 100% legit reissue, made in conjunction with Above Board distribution and the Demon Music group, remastered with love by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK.

Starting off with our Munich homeboys from COEO. Known for their funked up house tunes on Toy Tonics, they start into complete new realms this time. ‚Never Going Home' is the perfect example of a dope broken beat electro tune, that with it's weird synth line & smooth breakdown never failed on a gig in the last months. On A2 the man Doppelate from London (Let's Go Swimming Rec.) exactly hits the spot with mezmerizing synths, tight drum programming and a crunchy acid bassline on ‚Four Feet Up The Stairs'. Announcing his forthcoming BBE album 'Taste of Chicago', edit kingpin and DJ par excellence Jamie 3:26 drops a 12' comprising two of his most highly prized cuts. At the top of many a vinyl digger's wish-list since its highly limited white label release in 2010, the Jamie 3:26 edit of Calendar's 1977 disco stepper 'Comin' On Strong' has become the stuf of legend, played to devastating efect by Theo Parrish among others over recent years. On the fip, Jamie 3:26 heads into classic Chicago House territory with a fery reworking of impossible-to-fnd Braxton Holmes banger 'Stomps & Shouts', taken from his mythical 'Cabrini-Greens and Cornbread' project. A scintillating teaser of what's to come later this year when BBE release 'Taste Of Chicago', a full album's worth of Jamie's incredible edits, this 12' is surely a must have for House and Disco players the world over.

The second release on Black Wattle comes from Sydney's Liam Ebbs. The EP, A Child's Guide to Groove', is a more dancefloor oreintated offering from the label. Breaks, a wonderful sense of groove, spacious pads and a great understanding of melody all feature on this 12. It is also Liam's first time being pressed on wax, he has featured previously on a tape from Australian label Ken Oath Records. Smoove & Turrell's second single outing from their album 'Mount Pleasant' is a double helping of up-tempo dancers for those that like to shake it...

Never one's to stop experimenting and pushing their musical boundaries, this single is a perfect example of exactly that, featuring two tracks with massively contrasting styles but with a quality of song writing and production that these guys have got down to a fine art in their years together.

'I Feel Alive' is a tasty electro disco cut inspired by a hedonistic night in Paris. It's the perfect blend of Smoove's trademark groovy productions with Turrell's sweet tones and honest relatable lyricism. Keys man - Mike Porter gets a chance to engage the arpeggiator function on his synth collection as he and the rest of the band create a host of spacey sounds to form the backdrop of this catchy number.

On the B side is 'Mr Hyde' - a beast of a track that opens with energetic live drums and a memorable guitar riff that form the backbone of a rocking tune that sees John Turrell manically singing through a distortion effect delivering the lines "I'm Jekyll and baby you need to hide" in a suitably menacing style...

Fusing garage rock, psyche, northern soul and pop sensibilities it's a Frankenstein's monster of a track that works on multiple levels with the lyrical subject matter.

Hell Yeah’s summer will be all about Passages, a brand new and fantastic album from Quiroga that shows off his unique take on the Neapolitan sound. It is a soothing mix of real musicianship, laid back funk, soul and jazz stylings that wash over you, fill your heart with warmth and take you to a faraway beach where all your worries melt into the ether.

It is 11 years since Walter Del Vecchio’s last album on Cactus Island Recordings and since then he has put out a steady stream of sublime EPs on the likes of his own Really Swing as well as, of course, Hell Yeah. Label boss Marco calls him “a delicate musician” and it’s true that his deft sound is filled with beauty and detail.

A lot of attention is currently on his native Naples scene, but Quiroga doesn’t fit with the usual narrative thanks to his left of centre take on the breezy Mediterranean sounds of the city. This new album features six brand new cuts as well as six of his favourites that have previously been put out Really Swing, and is a fantastic showcase of his sound, with two of the tracks already getting big support from Italian ensemble 291out.

Gentle groove undulations and refrained vocal euphoria define opener Got Your Love, while fat bass twangs and nodding keys light up the jazzy-soul-funk fusion that is Martinica Feelings. Things get even more horizontal and romantic on The Zoist, with its steamy female coos and delicate keys, and North Hollywood Witches is a glorious bit of slow motion boogie with squelching bass and effervescing keys.

Elsewhere there are the lazy tumbles of Non Dire Notte, which is awash with acid gurgles, while glistening dreamscapes like Citto Di Mare shuffle on lush live drums and new age melodies. There are hippie vibes on Luzhin Defence which evokes sun beams breaking through the clouds, then Chiaia Sunset will melt your heart with its diffuse keys and rippling rhythms and ambient closer Bava casts you adrift into the clouds.

With many other gems along the way, this a perfect summer album that will temporarily rid you of whatever problems you may have.

Do yourself a favour and dance across the floor when listening to the new Jacob Korn-record, aptly titled Son Of GX. The music is heavily based on the good old Yamaha Electone Organ. The home organ for the world's gentlemen was modified by Jacob himself and is now an integral part of his studio. As you'll hear it on the EP, it injects a decent dose of fun into Jacob's vision of House music. At least, you will instantly notice that when listening to Singlefinger Chord, a track that conquers the floor with its Disco elements. Rumours say that Jacob's cat toddled on his poor man's Yamaha CS80 when producing Cats On Organs. If that's true, the cat provided an irresistible hook to an already slamming, Italo-inspired track. Son Of GX is every bit as compelling as the first two tracks with its synth trumpet glory while the slighty darker Fun Blocks sustains us with heavy percussion works straight out of the Yamaha Electone Organ. On top, you'll get a remix for Singlefinger Chord by New York's Jacques Renault (Let's Play House) as digital bonus.
