Recorded at John's last night at The Vagabond Nightclub in Downtown Miami during this year's Miami Music Week, 'LIVE IN MIAMI' features 37 tracks and nearly 4 hours of the very best underground electronic music, spanning across more than two decades.
Showcasing a wide selection of new and classic records ranging from as far back as 1992 (Secret Knowledge - Sugar Daddy) and 1993 (Nicole - A Small Entrance To A Large Spectrum and Laurent Garnier - Acid Eiffel) Digweed's latest opus effortlessly takes us through a vast array of sounds, eras and genres from what was an incredibly special night back in March of this year.
From some major reminiscent acid moments of the early 90s right through the years to the upfront house and techno soundscapes of present day, John Digweed blends tracks from some of the most notable producers into one seamless mix that truly captures the spontaneity and vibe of the crowd in one of the world's coolest, most intimate and unorthodox clubbing destinations.

Hardwiring to the Red Laser network and initiating an advanced, beta-tested programme of futuro-manctalo cybernetics, TWIII's meta-level hybridisation of Italian synth disco & northern English rave styles, combined with an expert deciphering of modernised club dynamics has resulted in a faultless system capable of withstanding the most extreme sonic test environments. RL30's eight tracks are RL Corp. operation-certified to work alongside Human2.0's electrostatic discharge profile. Universally approved usage for sentient earth dwellers offering portals into dancefloor ecstasy and inter-dimensional transcendence. This programme begins with 'Pocsy', and sees euphoric holograms burst through galloping Italo mechanics, fusing retro-tinged optimism with a nu-age release. 'Astral Projectile Vomit' address a common problem endemic to protectors of our star cluster; then channels a shiny, serpentine chrome sequence and thrusts it down the rainbow road for maximum belly aches.
More hydraulic collisions between electronic disc-boogie and newly mined atomic particles from passing asteroids ensures Srg. Walker has enough mainroom material to keep the Sharons and Traceys of the main hub dancing in between injections of dimethyltryptamine. Closing with a trio of humanoid hits that'll have Jonny5 ordering kryptonite margaritas for the entire ship, Tommy Walker celebrates with the cosmic conge, 'Gary Blast'.
RL Corp is confident RL30's internal algorithm is a future-proofed, cross-species platform for auditory excitement, and will continue to stimulate listeners across a multitude of environments.

Mood Hut’s CZ Wang and Neo Image officially release MH006, a 12-inch that features their long-leaked and celebrated west coast party starter Just Off Wave. Originally recorded in 2014, these tracks sat on ice until they finally passed Claudio’s Cadillac-test™.

Side A’s Just Off Wave throws back to a pioneering moment of Pacific Northwest hip-hop mysticism. It first gained sneaky notoriety as a favourite of local DJs, eventually making it around the world thanks to some—in classic Mood Hut fashion—misplaced CDRs. The track is blessed with the hypnotiq call-and-response vocals of the low-key but legendary Separated At Birth crew —an alias of two Canadian rappers born on the same day. Contract restrictions prohibit us from revealing any more.

Side B features Open Mic Beat, an ecstatic DJ tool centred around an improvised drum machine traffic jam. This tune got its legs at early Mood Hut parties where it became a natural prompt, encouraging microphone-grabbing party guests to step up and freestyle.

Second album of Mont Analogue (Alex Van Pelt And Ben Lupus), navigating between ambient, psychedelic, kraut layers, with a featuring with Ariel Kalma.
After a first album that took the band from a lo-fi electro-pop composed around a few guitar pedals and a sampler to a synthetic music that opened up to the psychedelic whole, Mont Analogue definitively dropped the moorings of traditional formats with the recording of their second album, Super Flumina Babylonis.

Recorded at the foot of the mountains, in November and December 2018, in the calm of the alpine winter, it bears the traces of the group's collaborations in recent years (with the playwright Bruno Geslin or the guitarist Jean-François Pauvros) and makes exploration rhyme with freedom. Nine tracks came out of these sessions, designed by Mont Analogue with the simple equipment used on stage (some synthesizers, percussions and sequencers).

The material of sound imposed itself on the musicians and it is therefore a landscape of great richness and freedom that constitutes this album. Navigating between ambient, psychedelic, kraut layers, the band's music sometimes takes the freedom of house or hip hop lo-fi rhythms filtered through a timeless production, with perfect analogical precision provided by Nico Mataharie, close to the long-time band.

We are dealing here with a sonic journey, an invitation to dream and trance, which we must consider as a whole, the group betraying in this approach its cinematographic inspirations. Arbre de Mort, Arbre de Vie is one of the songs that defined the aesthetic direction of this album. Minimal but never arid, the synthetic territory drawn there navigates somewhere between ambient narrative, IDM and new age references. On La Ville, Mont Analogue has invited a legend of this music, New Age precisely, in the person of Ariel Kalma. The French musician, who has been exiled on the edge of an Australian beach for the past twenty years, enhances the track with his beautiful deep voice. Super Flumina Babylonis is originally the title of a psalm, transmitted as a religious song since the dawn of time. Mont Analogue is the title of a contemplative disc that looks at the world of tomorrow by imagining an instinctive science fiction and a personal and unique musical and conceptual mythology.

Alex Albrecht returns to the Analogue Attic imprint this October under his Melquíades guise; delivering a five-track package in the shape of 'Lanterns'.

Albrecht explains "The concept is a continuation of my last release with AAR and aims to take the listener on a journey to a strange place - Falling asleep, it leads one down a rainy, lantern-lit path and into another world.
At the end of the record, the listener is finally awoken by a familiar voice."

All of the compositions are improvised explorations with field recordings at their core as the framework.
'Lanterns Pt. 1 & Pt. 2' lead, easing you into the project with swirling, hazy atmospherics and ethereal piano melodies floating atop rounded subs and soft percussion.
'Neon Canal' follows, bringing the rhythm to the forefront whilst bubbling bell chimes, warm chords and expansive delays ebb and flow within.
Up next is ‘Cockatoo Horizon’ a Balearic tinged cut employing off-kilter organic percussion, soft guitar licks and airy atmospherics before 'Embers ft. James Harbard' strips things back to floaty chords, bumpy drums and jazzy guitar melodies subtly unfolding throughout.

2nd Drop Records release 'Seven Lies', the debut album by Felix Manuel aka Djrum (pronounced 'Drum'). Its sounds are inspired by the rawness of urban London, influences of Portishead, DJ Shadow and The Cinematic Orchestra, jungle, minimal techno, classic house, broken beat - all seamlessly segued with a nod to jazz vinyl and film music.
Fans will recognise Djrum's iconic tropes on 'Seven
Lies': widescreen atmospheres, dub chords, dusty and melancholic strings, obscure film samples. But this time its spread over a bigger, more luxurious canvas that dips like an undulating terrain of sound; techno troughs, bumpy hip hop breaks, euphoric
drum and bass, all filtered through the Djrum node.
Felix would admit himself he is a not a prolific producer. Preferring to craft and hone, often allowing music to mutate and diverge down different paths, his tracks often top the 8-9 min marks in
length. However, each track is never at risk of becoming staid or boring, quite the opposite as ideas mutate and evolve, subtle differences and nuances are evoked and explored.

The history of Planets...

It has been 100 years since the British composer Gustav Holst introduced his most famous score «The Planets». An elegant musical tour to each one of our Planets in the Solar System, Holst brought forth imaginary visions of space that would survive many generations and decades after. As an important piece to the classical universe, 'The Planets' is regularly played throughout the World every year as it had been the most vivid translation of our cosmic neighborhood until now.

The Electronic Music artist and producer Jeff Mills, pays tribute to this century of incredible musical production. He embarks to compose a sonic journey to re-discover our neighboring planets in a 18 piece suite that explores the nine planets, including the portions of space in between the Planets, the nine regions Mills calls Loop Transits.

Deeply inhabited by science-fiction, Jeff Mills adopts its ideas, concepts, stories and esthetics from the outset. For him, Space is an obsession and his music almost becomes a musical science-fiction. Conquering space, his music embodies the future while both respecting the past and remaining well into the present. Mills takes the rotating principle of the solar system as aesthetics, concept and model for creativity. From the beginning, his first releases explore futuristic and science fiction topics and continue to do so to this day. For Jeff Mills, the future is a powerful creative drive which explains the artist's ceaseless activity.

Since its creation and like the intention of Holst, each track is musically imagined to invoke the psychological affect, emotions and ideas of each planet. But unlike in the year 1918, when the score was first publicly heard on the last week of World War I, 100 years later, we now have a more accurate knowledge about what each Planet is made of and what they look like. The piece should bring the audience closer to confronting each planet in ways that audiences in 1918 could only dream of.

With the French composer Sylvain Griotto, the arranger of Planets and Mills' previous work on the album and classical score about the NASA astronaut and doctor Mamoru Morhi's space journey in 1992 and 2000 from the album 'Where Light Ends', Mills has created an electronic music album that have been translated for symphonic and philharmonic orchestras and will accompany them in their live debut and all performances. Starting to conceptualize and produce music for it dating back to 2005, Mills constantly worked on the project over the years to bring it to fruition.

In July 2016 Jeff Mills has completed the last production stages of the Planets album at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London. Recorded and will be released in 5.1 surround on the Blue Ray digital format, the soundtrack needed a particular high level of expertise that could only be attended to at hands of the renowned senior studio engineer Jonathan Allen. The expertise and quality associated with the legendary Abbey Road Studios is recognized globally and undeniably the most famous studio in the World. It is with acclaim from the Beatles, Pink Floyd, or more recently Radiohead before him, that Jeff Mills will bring Planets at this legendary music institution.

The mastering sessions occurred on August 2016 with the acclaimed Mastering engineer Darcy Proper in Holland.

Legendary Norwegian producer & artist Bjorn Torske supplies the artwork - rounding off one of UTTU's most aspirational releases of recent times.

Holy smokes batman! Brand new label straight outta MCR here as esteemed clubnight House of Wax launches a new, vinyl only imprint entitled Jupiter's Melody. What a coup for this debut release - The Drop are a London based, 9-piece reggae band operating since 2009 and with a soundsystem informed mentality. Fitting then that soundsystem operative, UKG legend and accalaimed bass music progressor DjRum is enlisted on remix duties to take these UK reggae skankers into the club for some grooving 2-step business. Felix Manuel has a storied history across UK dance music, most notably through releases on the iconic 2nd Drop records and a much lauded Resident Advisor mix. "Looking To The Sky" is THAT festival burner you wish you'd have packed for the Summer just gone. Gliding in on waves of undulating bass, punctuated by a typical but none less arresting 2-step beat, the rastaman vox from the Drop fit so well you won't actually believe it's a remix! Deep, emotive and beautifully poised, its retroist in many ways but this only adds to the warm and welcoming nature of the track. The flip is more introspective, and in someways melancholic, but with a massively uplifted message. Again, taken from a completely different OG piece (check youtube for The Drop's original vid), the vocal sits perfectly in another crisp and frenetic take on the UKG beat. This side builds slowly, with a defined song structure and lush musicality, never quite climaxing but simmering gently with a mindful glow. Appearing out of nowhere and instantly having us climbing over each other to see what was playing, we expect this to be a big smash here in Manchester over the coming months. If you've felt something missing in your life since MJ Cole, Zed Bias and Todd Edwards last released summat, then you could do much worse than adding this to your collection! Lemon Jelly's Fred Deakin returns with his first new music since the band halted in 2007. The Lasters is an epic 75 minute sci-fi concept album telling the story of Earth's final family over 19 tracks, featuring Charlotte Hatherley (ex Ash) and newcomers Abi Sinclair and Steffan Huw Davies. Lauren Laverne compared it to ELO's Xanadu and The Carpenters' Calling Occupants on her BBC 6Music breakfast show: other supporters include DJ Mag, Mojo and Prog. A full UK tour is scheduled for Feb 2020.

Running can be a form of stress relief. It helps to clear the mind,
catalyze emotions and refuel.

It can even cause a rush of energy and make you high on endorphins. It is in these ways very similar to dancing. What sets both apart is the collective experience. While the former is rather seldom associated with groups, the latter almost always is. Moderat's 2nd single "Running" has quite a unifying
effect to it. It blends the isolated voice of melancholy with the collective excitement of a night at a summer festival. Their music is for the main stage: a highly emotive kind of pop, which is built to dance, but never simple.

The sonic palette of 'Running' spans intricate percussions, cascading, yet overtly recognisable synths, a driving kick drum and a whole lot of feel-good vibes. The rhythms are as compelling as they are deadly effective. At the same time the lyrics address feelings of impotence and powerlessness in a
hyper-capitalist world, where each individual isn´t striving for anything anymore but just repeats mechanisms that are out of its power to control:
"Running is about being part of a mass. A mass that constantly needs to move to function, but one that's not deciding directions by itself." (Sascha Ring) In its endeavouring balance of self esteem and subtlety, the brightness of synth pop and the moodiness of UK house, this song will
recharge your batteries much like a perfect
workout. Its emotional juxtaposition emits a grandeur, seen seldom in
current pop music. It depicts the torn feelings of today's youth and is
another fine example of how Moderat manage to unite the two worlds of the
energy and the hedonism of the club and the thoughtfulness and delicate
instrumentation of leftfield pop music.

If "Running" leans towards the latter, '90% Wasser' the exclusive B-side of
the EP, bows deeply to the undercurrent of contemporary UK club music. In
this brooding track with it´s big dubstep claps, the lyrics are reduced to a
distant humming, reminding one´s self not to get lost in escapism but to
immerse in the present.

Death Is Not The End offer up a vinyl reissue of Louis Johnstone aka Wanda Group's LP 'Tough Cunt', recorded under his The Hers alias and originally released on Sex Lies Magnetic Tape in 2012.

Electronic music underpins ‘Wild Slide’, but Better Lost’ look beyond it with a varied collection of song ‘Wild Slide’ is the debut album from techno supergroup, Better Lost Than Stupid, aka 3 of the world’s finest producers and DJs - Martin Buttrich, Davide Squillace, and Matthias Tanzmann.

Released on 13 September by Skint/BMG, the 11 track album follows a slew of singles - ‘Back From The Desert’, ‘The Sky Is Too Low’, and ‘Inside’ – which have won praise from the likes of Mixmag, Dancing Astronaut, RA, Radio 1 (Pete Tong and Danny Howard), Marco Carola, Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Kolsch, Joris Voorn, Claptone, Eats Everything, Adam Beyer, and many more.

‘Wild Slide’ shows that the comparisons made between Better Lost’ and stadium techno acts like The Chemical Brothers, and Underworld, stand up. The production quality is every bit as good as you’d expect from Buttrich and co, and the songs have been crafted and written by three people who’ve spent their lives making music and then playing it to hundreds of thousands of people.

Mythology for the posthuman age. From "The New Kind" to "Posthuman Wonderland", Simon Grab's album "Posthuman Species" is a sonic journey through an astonishing land of fragile feedbacks, pulsating drones and opulent outbursts of noise.

Recorded on a no-input-mixing setup consisting of low frequency oscillators, filters, analogue effects and a mixer patched with itself, the album sneaks up on dub and leftfield electronica from the side. Over time, the self-oscillating setup falls in and out of tune with itself, emphasising its transient nature. The album is a work of science fiction, telling the story of a time when "The New Kind" shapes its own wonderland.

Swiss sound artist and musician Simon Grab explores new grounds by negating assumed borders. In his recent work, he focuses on reduction, and the peculiarity of self-referential systems.
The album "Posthuman Species" follows his recent EP "Extinction" on -OUS. His "Diamonds EP" in collaboration with Togolese rapper Yao Bobby and Asian Dub Foundation's Dhangsha releases on Bristol's LavaLava Records in September 2019. Simon Grab's recent works includes "Hirnmusik 1 & 2", in which he dives deep into musical imagery by transferring his sonic ideas directly from his brain to vinyl.

The vinyl LP comes with a printed inner sleeve designed by Hammer and a download card that includes the digital only tracks "Transformation" and "Posthuman Wonderland".

Katsoulis has been making avant-garde electronic pop steadily since the early '80s, but it wasn't until 2014 that he transcended cult status. That year, Into The Light issued a collection of Katsoulis' early and unreleased material, The Sleeping Beauties.

In October, Alex Bradley's Utopia Records will handle a new record from the low-key artist. The press release says of the opener, "All The Blue Skies," "Katsoulis and his accompanying musicians deliver a diverse and contemporary work with a level of sophistication that will challenge the current electronic musical landscape." The label adds that "'Grand Delusions' sounds like it could work in a Berlin techno club, from a man that has probably never been to one."

Katsoulis is becoming more active in the underground electronic music scene as of late. He performed at the inaugural Strange Sounds From Beyond festival in Amsterdam in June. A 2015 remix EP featured Young Marco, Max D and Telephones interpreting tracks off The Sleeping Beauties.

There's a story behind all the releases I've put out in recent years.
I usually try not to bore people with the details, but this one is about my own mental health crisis back in the mid noughties.
The upshot was, I ended up trying to do the ultimate unthinkable. Luckily, I failed in my attempt, and ended up seeing a psychologist for a number of sessions.

Music has always been around for me, when I'm high or when things aren't so good, and I wrote these tracks roundabout that period.
I see them as a reflection of my experiences of the journey through clinical therapy. And in addition, the act of writing them was probably my own therapy for myself, letting things out in the form of music, though I most likely didn't see it at the time.

The tracks chart my progress from initial complete alienation at the start of therapy, through to the light at the end of the tunnel at the end of the session programme.
The original track was written and completed in 2004, and the other versions would have been started roughly at the same time, with additional production to complete them taking place this year (2019).
To my ears, they're as ever my own take on Techno - Detroit's in the mix, but also Sheffield, and of course current hometown Manchester. The Soundcloud algorithm heard disco, but also synthpop, electronic rock and chiptune.
So we can probably agree on influences such as Cabaret Voltaire, UR and Robert Gordon.

Ground is an Osaka native, but his soul is truly that of a nomad, traversing the planet, befriending the kindred spirits found in humans, animals and plants. Sunizm is a cross section of the artist's process—an array of complex microcosms overlapping to comprise a thematic whole—gathering field recordings, found instrumentation, jagged electronics, and synthesized chanting, to be woven into a dense narrative that appears both obsessively constructed and divinely improvised. After a string of succesful singles, “Deixa Musica A Tocar”, “So Vejo Voce”, “E A Felicidade” and the Dj Harvey supported “ Te Faz Bem” and “Serei Seu”, The Danish / Brazilian quartet constellation Copenema (Copenhagen / Ipanema = Copenema) are ready to release their debut album “Deixa Musica a Tocar”.
The album mixes European electronica influences with Brazilian songwriting style. The sound becomes unique and some would say Balearic.The albums leading single “Te Faz Bem” a funky downtempo track with live saxophone, flute and rhythm guitars and a baseline to die for has become somewhat a national Ibiza balearic anthem over the past years and spread worldwide especially due to the massive support from Djs incl from Harvey to Dj Pippi to Pete Tong. “Serei Seu” the second single another Ibiza fave is a funky party track that sounds like a modern Jorge Ben. The single “So Vejo Voce” is Stan Getz meets the beach vibes, “Festa De Relaxamento” an Alfredo fave is jazzy Brazilian funk vibes with heavy live drums and a bass line that wants you to move.
“Lullaby For Impanema” is sunset material. The bands first recording the 12 min beautiful jazzy cosmic downtempo Pat Metheny influenced and Leo Mas supported “Some Di Some Day” is pure bliss and a sunset fave amongst the Balearic community.
The album has three added bonus tracks (Vinyl Only) - Can’t Sleep and Nada Mais both recorded in a Music For Dreams writers camp recently and the 12 minute journey of Serei Seu by Danilo Braca

John Talabot and Pional bring back their Lost Scripts project to start a series of 12" with some of the jams the duo has been recording during these past years between Barcelona, Madrid and Giske. The release comes housed in a sleeve by Arnau Pi.

It has been a long time coming, LDDLM is more than happy to welcome a house friend, Cosmo Vitelli.
This EP is a complement to the recent (and forthcoming) Malka Tuti releases, coherent fragments of a creative year. If Cosmo is known for his wavey-krautey (I have no other words) productions going back to the Bot’ox days, he also has a meaner side.The aptly titled “Un Episode Psychotique” is disco gone wrong, italo with neurosis, straying from polished clichés, musical yet strangely anxiogen.It is turned into an Eighties monster by GOTT aka Sneaker and Scannoir. Their Creatio Instrumentalis is a cold funk monster and their Creatio Continualis amps up the EBM factor.
How does one translate Giallo in Croat? “Tisja” may answer the question, the spoken words of Tanja Vežić burning through the celluloid.

Finally, “The Shy Dictator” is like an early Chemical Brothers breakbeat monster, powerful yet psychedelic, canalised fury of bells and drums.

Not An Animal return with their 2nd installment, this time from
'Ess O Ess' (aka Chris Stoker and Jamie Blanco). Their original offering, Cantillate, isn't an easy beast to identify, being equal parts Swamp-Rock and Techno. Imagine you've stumbled across an ephedrine and moonshine fueled rave in a deep Louisiana bayoux in the year 3000, and you're close. Add an out-there vocal refrain, and you'll start to appreciate why this is a particularly distinct record. Relocate said rave to a some kind of Space Ship hitting hyperspace, with photon torpedoes fully armed, and you'll suddenly find yourself with the first remix, as created by Ene Records owner Chida. Continuing the hybrid vibes, the final remix as provided by man of the moment "Suzanne Kraft" (yes, man), takes a juxtaposed tropical techno (with added dub) approach to his interpretation. The overall effect of all 3 mixes is a pleasingly schizophrenic release which drips with multiple personalities.

on the occasion of its 2nd anniversary.
Ground Tactics is devoted to reaching new music horizons and emotions through an experiment including structures and
harmonies. This experiment occasionally results in contrasts and uncommon pathways as demonstrated in his Dawn Of City
Lights LP.
On the A-side, Thou Shalt is an early experiment which reflects a state of concentration that attracts the mind to our senses. In
145 175 C6, the contrast between the rhythm and the synthesizer creates a conflict of calm curiosity and stress. Eventually the
rhythm is absorbed.
The B-side, 21 Gr. represents the weight of the soul and was recorded in one take during an empowering studio session.
On the other end Personal Behavior tells a story about the unconscious that drives towards the conscious, interest.
On the C-side, Burning Moon refers to a full moon night: the fire burns, the wood crackles and the magic of the night unfolds to
the listener. On another note, At that moment announces a near and apprehended threat, perceived in a different light and
characterized by fun and love.
On the D-side, Timesplit blurs out our perception of time, yet movement remains and is translated with mystery and passion.
Finally the exploration leads to an open transcending sound field.

wonders.
