Before relocating to NYC in 2020, Pontchartrain invited colleague Javonntte over to record several songs together at Pontch’s east-side Detroit studio.

The collaboration yielded several songs that blend Pontch’s studio prowess and dramatic sound, with Javonntte’s wide ranging performance skill, and soulful style. “Cirrus”, as the name suggests, is a deeper cloudy synth-heavy house track, previously selected by DJ Holographic for release on Carl Craig’s Detroit Love vol 6 compilation, but get’s an updated mix & master, as well as a seriously heavy remix by fellow motor city deep house honcho, Delano Smith.

“Keep Dancing” features additional vocals by Javonntte in a hard hitting and highly playable “Detroit” version, as well as a completely different version re-mixed and produced in Pontch’s Harlem studio.

Hot Natured and Ali Love are set to release one of the most hotly anticipated singles of the year, ‘Benediction’ on 29th October through Hot Creations.

Hot Natured’s last single ‘Forward Motion’ was the seductive summer anthem of 2011. Since then the founding members of Hot Natured, Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, have been joined by Ali Love and Luca C (from the duo Infinity Ink). The quartet has been locked away in writing sessions in Los Angeles, London and Ibiza, with an album planned for spring 2013.

‘Benediction’ is the first track to emerge from this album but its seeds were first sewn almost 10 year ago when Ali first thought of the main chords and concept. Today that idea has germinated into Hot Natured’s lead single. It features vocalist Ali Love’s trademark smooth and infectious tones, driven by melodic keys and that trademark deep, haunting bounce. ‘Benediction’ showcases Hot Natured’s collective song writing and top-of-their-game production skills to full, potent effect.

First heard on Jamie and Seth Troxler’s recent takeover for Pete Tong on Radio 1 and played at Hot Creations’ night Paradise at DC10 in Ibiza all summer, ‘Benediction’ is an irresistible and infectious crossover hit. It demonstrates exactly why Hot Natured and their Hot Creations label have become the go-to names for unrivalled disco-tinged, addictive house music with ‘quality’ stamped all over it. Also featured here are a blowout dub of ‘Benediction’ and a stupendous remix of ‘Forward Motion by MK… what a package!!

Paul Johnson began DJing in Chicago in 1985, and started working as a producer in 1990, doing tracks for Chicago house labels Dance Mania, Relief, Cajual, Nite Life, Undaground Therapy, Defected, DJax Up Beats, Peacefrog, and Moody. His tune "Get Get Down" became an international house hit, sustaining airplay for several years in clubs and was a top 5 hit in the UK Singles Chart. The song reached number-one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in December 1999, and remained on the survey for 18 weeks. Johnson started the Chicago house label Dust Traxx, and has worked with Robert Armani under the name Traxmen and with Gant Garrard as Brother 2 Brother. His 2004 track, "Follow This Beat", hit # 8 on the US Dance chart.

Anyone familiar with the work of HDSN has seen him making big waves leading the line so brilliantly for his own imprint NUTHIN BUT A SOUL THING over the course of it´s twelve physical releases. If you heard his most recent EP ‘Break Ups 2 Make Ups”’ or the outstanding debut release "We Must Protect This House” on his new sub-label which received overwhelming response from the likes of Pete Tong to Shadow Child, Cinthie and many more of the scene´s true heroes you will know he is an artist unconfined to the restraints of the norm and he displays this once again on his new record “For My People”. NBASTWAX013 marks a return to HDSN´s roots with a new approach towards modern house music and owes a debt to the classic sound from New York, Chicago and Detroit. The title track “For My People" opens the release, encapsulating the spirit of classic deep house with an impressive attention to detail and insistent movement. Its a future deep house anthem featuring a deeply effective piano hook over a powerful House backdrop with a a rib shaking sub bass, utilizing soaring 303’s and soulful sprinkling vocals - stripped back House at it´s finest. Next up is “Werk Ya Body” which applies reverb soaked piano chords, sweeping synth shots and effortlessly shuffling drum programming that maintains captivation for the listener throughout. RAWAX proudly welcomes Mr. Gari Romalis to the family!

Gari Romalis is at the forefront on the techno scene in Detroit, working with labels such as Tresor, Soma Records, Terrence Parker's Intangible label, Mike Banks' Happy Soul Records, Reggie Dokes' Psychostasia label and Cliff Thomas' D-Bass Records.

Gari has been djing for over 30 years and has played at Detroit's most infamous underground club, the "Music Institute", along with traveling overseas spinning at Tresor in Germany.

Gari has worked for Transmat Records as well as managing Detroit's famous Buy Rite Records. Gari is single handedly responsible for training and influencing some of Detroit's most famous DJ's and producers. Gari heads also the Butch Strange Group, LLC, which houses several labels under his direction. He's back in 2012 with 'The Last Man Satnding EP'.

For the first release of 2021, label owner Bloody Mary is launching a new series which aims to blur the lines between EBM, dark wave and acid. The release comes after the huge success of her collaboration with Cardopusher on last year’s Conformity Kills EP, and straight off the back of the label’s 10 year anniversary compilation. Alongside Bloody Mary herself, this 4 tracker features a hand-picked selection of established and fresh artists whose tracks she has been supporting over the years.

Kicking things off on the A-Side is Bloody Mary’s track “Snatch”, followed by the renowned French artist Millimetric who’s welcomed to Dame-Music for the first time with his track “Body Alert” on A2. On the flip we see two more label debuts, this time from Russian artist Meshes on B1 with his track “Roleplay”, while Colombian artist Delectro rounds out the package on B2 with the heavy hitting and aptly named “Panic Rage”.

Parris Mitchell returns on Chiwax Classic Edition part 23. His former release on Dance Mania #66 from 1994 comes remastered to hit the dance floors again.

Yet another all killer no filler album from Omar S!

Unwashed acid house and disco through a broken South London filter - from "70s New York bathhouses to "80s Chicago nightclubs via the Brixton Windmill. Bring a towel. Decius are brothers Liam and Luke May, founders of Trashmouth Records, together with Quinn Whalley (Paranoid London/Warmduscher) and Fat White Family frontman Lias Saoudi. Those with an ear to the ground will have picked up on a string of self-released 12"s over the last few years, supported by the likes of Daniel Avery, Honey Dijon, Ivan Smagghe, Mike Servito, 2 Many DJs, Moxie and Erol Alkan. Decius Vol. I is a lean entry point to their sordid world - dark, uncut, unrefined and unrepentant.

Jay Lumen needs no introduction as he has been important to the tech and techno scene for years now. After several No.1 and Top10 releases on labels like Drumcode, Octopus, Relief, Suara, OFF etc. we are happy to have him back on Noir Music with this fantastic tech stomper "Our Freedom" that has a little bit of everything.The remixes comes from La Fleur and Traumer. Both are among our favorite producers at the moment and we are happy to write that both did an excellent remix job making sure we got fantastic alternative versions here.

For the 7th release Theory Of Swing welcomes the French duo Groove Boys Project to join the catalogue with their “The Manhattan Soul EP “. Lucas and Alexandre are two talented and devoted guys towards the 90’s house sound. In collaboration with some of their mates Rawaï and Dusty Fingers they created this pure NY house 4 tracker EP that respect at full the concept of the label. “Bring back that magic feel “ .

Bernard Badie has been a staple in the Chicago House scene for over a Generation. He has released on labels such as Cyclo, Cajual, Nightclub & Distance.

Crazy For Your Love (featuring vocalist Mufan) is his latest. If you're into the 90's sound of the Windy City, this one is definitely for you. Written by Badie and House Legend Dajae, & features 3 different mixes that are equally as good.
A Time To Dance takes a deeper path, but compliments the title
track very well.

Following the success of their 'Earl' EP on Switzerland's Hive Records, Berlin-based House staple Oliver $ reunites with Swiss Jazz House aficionado Jimi Jules to bring their anticipated debut release on Defected. 'Pushing On' opens with an infectious percussive medley composed of tropical triangles and melodious 808-like cowbells. With the gradual introduction of the moody, Frankie Knuckles inspired, bass line and tailing piano chords, the track slowly transforms into an energetic homage to classic Chicago House. Quick to take centre stage the track also features dusky vocal samples from Quantic Soul Orchestra, merging effortlessly with the wispy cymbal crashes, the song's title and central lyrical theme, 'Pushing On', falls and confidently rises to drive the track to its spirited climax. And for those who don't want the vocals there's a dub thrown in for good measure. Already household names in their home countries, 'Pushing On' is sure set to solidify Oliver $ and Jimi Jules as international House providers.

Childhood returns with another mind blowing 4 tracker 12" by Mr. G! This record continues to elaborate on the rather obscure path that G already explored with last years album The Forced Force is not the True Force, yet focuses a bit more on the magic of the dance floor. Ranging from hypnotic patterns over house grooves to fast forward techno funk: this record clearly shows again that Mr. G always manages to keep his distinct signature sound we all love him for, even while advancing into unknown territory.
