On side A, Proper whips up an enchanting vocal house-track entitled 'SHOOK' with a specific 'Proper-feel' of groovin' synth-bass melodies, straight-up funkin' house-beats and a message which invites you to shake your behind.
Side B contains the track 'BUCKLE UP & RIDE', another instant dance-floor classic which will take us out for a
spin around town as we'll drive down to memory-lane to honour some of Chicago's heritage; the lyrics warn you
to fasten you seat-belt, the beats and bassline tell you "I-told-you-so"... It's a simple tool of a track, though
original and outstanding; beats, bass, vocals and a nasty Proper-attitude...

Gerd is delivering at the moment! After releases on Clone Royal Oak, Philpot, a big re-issue on Rejected, great remixes on 4lux and Delusions of Grandeur its time for him to release on his own 4lux label! A Massive chicago influenced track called H.O.U.S.E. featuring the voice of L.B. Bad, The Prince Of Dance Music.

Following his two recent singles on Scuba's Hotflush Recordings, London based George FitzGerald is back with his much-anticipated third release and his debut for Aus Music.

For Tevo Howard's first CD release we've married his two EP releases for HHYR: Crystal Republic from 2010 and the brand new Pandora's Box. Next to that two more tracks are added, 'Move' from 2009 as well as 'I Won't Lay Back', from Rick Poppa Howard's s/t EP of the same year. This makes up for a comprehensive compilation showing some of the best output from his recent catalogue. Though his tracks are heavily inspired on the early days, his productions sound very crisp and 'today'. The 'Crystal Republic' tracks show his emotional and raw warehouse side, whereas on the 'Pandora's Box' tracks Tevo experiments with different rhythms and textures, which results in a varied set of tracks, from classic Chicago acid house to more Italo leanings. Tevo's music truly takes us back to the original vibe of Chicago house music, without getting too dusty. We love Tevo!

Sometimes things just fall into your lap as is the case with this L.I.E.S. release by savant basement producer, Willie Burns. Growing up on the infamous Baudin St. in New Orleans, the now 38 year old Burns was exposed to the world of music production in the early-nineties via his older brother, an aspiring Hip Hop producer.
Consequently, as his brother's career was teetering towards its end, Burns spent a summer with cousins in New York City frequenting clubs like The Tunnel, The World, Sound Factory, and the legendary Save the Robots being exposed to House music for the first time.

Awanto 3 a.k.a. Steven de Peven who appeared on the earlier released EP ''Hupsers & Kletsers for life'', is releasing a playful track on StudioS004. With Awanto 3's earlier EP called ''For Five'', containing downtempo deep house tracks, Awanto 3 has proven that he is also able to produce a banging dirty boogie. Thanks to the fat kickdrum that hits right in the middle, this track will make your body shake.

Second part of Damian's limited double 12' release gets off to a glittering start with Portable AKA Bodycode's metallic framework of effervescing glitchy FX, futuristic beats for the body and wisps of melody for the soul. This is ultra deep rolling tech funk at its finest. Having long admired the producer, Lazarus harboured dreams of making an honourary Rebel out of him and it's been realised in the shining context of 'Different Now'. Next up Lazarus introduces hot new San Fran based talent Deal Seal. His rework of 'Different Now' is a rumbling journey of built up tension and release with a delicately tribal drive that pulses with percussive energy and sci-fi synths over the menacing bassline. Damian Lazarus has chosen this moment to join Crosstown Rebel's illustrious back catalogue by presenting his most personal work to date. Both these parts are limited to 500 copies each.
