Legendary producer Ian Pooley has partnered up with up and coming producer Spencer Parker to create a very dynamic duo. We have been trying to work with Spencer and Ian for quite some time and now we get both of them on one.

Lithuanian deep house & disco maestro Mario Basanov drops his debut single 'More for the Less' on Apersonal Music with the help from talented Toronto's local figure Jeremy Glenn ripping it off on the vocals. First single out from Mario after releasing his successful album 'Journey', and with the unique touch of a Basanov-Glenn join for this special collaboration.
A good feel, boogie monster if there ever was one, 'More for the Less' has a definite early 80's prelude feel to it, updated with the immaculate production talent of Mario to a fresh, upfront production keeping the deep end of dance floor happily dancing.
First remix comes courtesy of Pablo Bolivar & Maurice Aymard who injects a late 80s house feel to it, giving the vocal more space and keeping the drums tight and in control of the song. 2nd up we have our good friend Michael J Collins, coming out of a long production rest for our enlightenment dropping an ace 90s inspired remix with old school samples, break beats and some good feel to it - this is a perfect end for the night groover.
Additionally Mario himself delivers his dub version which takes a more straight approach with sparse vocals, added stabs and a more melodic bass with an acid feeling, focusing more on clubs and the dance floor then the original version.

One of South Africa's finest tag teams, Monocles & Slezz, are up next on Foliage Records with a delicious slice of deep dance, Only Love. The pair is backed by Brit house producer Andy Compton, of The Rurals fame, and accomplished US vocalists Tantra Zawadi and DanaByrd - a soulful dream team by any stretch of the imagination.
Monocles & Slezz' original production glides on slick 4-4 drums and deep, shimmering keys, quickly pulling the listener into Zawadi and Byrd's mesmering song 'n' spoken word interplay about perfect, heaven-on-earth love, and a run of sweet, jazzy guitar and vibes solos.Russian-born studiosmith Kojo Akusa (a Johannesburg staple following the release last year of EP Sepia with The Guests Of Nature) plumbs even deeper depths, the mellow, afro-pulsin' rhythms of his exclusive remix rolling beneath a heady swirl of vocals, tinkling synths and guitars. Montreal's IndySoul (AKA DJ-producer Carl Guerard) ups the percussive ante, meanwhile, with a sweet Latin-flecked shuffle bolstered by smart but sparingly used drum rolls, powerful throbs of analogue bass, and more introspective, mightily soulful key work.
Monocles, an alter ego for DJ Matshidi (real name Tshidiso Moeng), first met Slezz UlteeMate (real name Tebogo Leshotho) in 2008,both hailing from golden South African city Welkom; both involved in music from their early teens. The pair's shared passion for a wide range of deep soulful dance, be it house, tech, Afro or broken beat, was quickly made evident and exploited, resulting in roof- raising residencies at Welkom clubs Afrovibe, De Zone and Village Palace, big remixes for local artists such as Coltrane, Room 806 and Paso Doble, and slammin' productions including Afrika and Canary Islands.
Talented young duo Monocles & Slezz have now stepped onto the international stage with Foliage. They're ready. the label say " It was in 2011 when Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble released his DJ-Kicks compilation to a stoked crowd, showing an unusual amount of wisdom for a producer that young. Now, he returns to his best-known moniker - having been on hold since that exciting remix for Midland's "What We Know" in early 2012 - with another reboot of sorts: choosing his own MCDE imprint as stage for the new record, Danilo directly confronts the legacy of his insanely loved "Raw Cuts" that brought the bounce back to Deep House, injecting a blueprint grown stale with much-needed emotions and rejuvenating DJ crates worldwide.

It is surprising, then, that the latest entry in the series is only the tenth release in a discography seemingly consisting only of classics, but as MCDE's A&R, Danilo & his partner Pablo Valentino (FACES Records / Creative Swing Alliance) intentionally kept the young label's artist roster small, focussing on quality output instead and giving the sound room to breathe.

While there are plenty of successful House templates floating around, none defined its roots in sampling as thoroughly as MCDE & Raw Cuts did, and it's happening again with these four impressive workouts condensing all we love about the genre, resulting in a show-stopping record sure to set even the most distinguished floors on fire. 2013 should consider itself a lucky year, because Motor City Drum Ensemble is back in the producer's seat and that's a very good thing."

Deep4life brought a breath of fresh air to house music in the late 90´s. A handful of really good synthetic and timeless house music releases made it a cult label. Now the owner, Chris Gray and one of the leading figures, DaRand Land, meet to do it again. They give us a delicious LP with large amounts of deep moods; Atmospheric and emotional house music (but not only) with synthesizer lines, synthetic basses, voices and breathing sequences. Chris and DaRand are a winning combination. No doubt.

: INGREDIENTS
4 skinless boneless chicken fillets
200 ml chicken stock
100 ml sherry medium dry
150 ml olive oil
50 ml chicken stock
1/2 slice white bread
5 tbsp almonds, peeled
4 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
3 tbsp olive oil
clove of young garlic
cayenne pepper
salt
:: METHOD
Preheat the oven with an oven-proof casserole to 80°. Rinse
off the chicken fillets with cold water and pat dry. Season the
chicken with salt and cayenne pepper. Heat the oil in a pan
and fry the chicken fillets in it 4 to 5 minutes. Then give the
chicken in the casserole and cook it in the hot oven about 30
minutes at the middle level.

Peel the garlic and fry it golden brown with almonds and
bread in the remaining frying fat. Then gibe it in a mortar.

Pour the gravy with sherry and stock and reduce the sauce.
Sit in the almond miture and let the sauce cook for about 2
minutes gently.

Toss the chicken fillets in the sauce, place on a plate and
garnish with parsley.

Good with rice and salad.

We recommend a charming green veltliner from 2010 from
Kamptal in Austria of the Laurents V. winery. The wine
exudes a fragrant bouquet of red apple, behind ripe peach,
white pepper, mango and rhubarb.

After the success of their debut album 'Mind Over Matter' released on Crosstown Rebels earlier this year, Venezuelan duo Fur Coat return with 'Fall's Away'; one of the biggest cuts from the album which features the lush vocals of Mel Blatt and a killer pair of remixes from DJ Sneak and Just Be.
Deep warm pads, filtered toms and vocal chops open things up on the original version of Fall's Away and after the introduction of a groove inflected kick and bass combo it becomes apparent that this one is going to be taking complete control of the dance floor. This notion is accentuated even more once Blatt's soulful contribution enters the foray with its lyrical and vocal excellence.
On somewhat of a resurgence at present, house legend DJ Sneak does what he has done for the last 20 years and delivers a slice of up front house music straight out of the Chi-town text book. Fat kicks, swinging highs and a deep and driving low end are all in attendance, whilst vocal stabs and swirling samples lead to several hypnotizing climaxes. Clubbers beware: this one is relentless.
Just Be aka Bushwacka steps up for the final remix offering and stays closer to the original whilst bringing an otherworldly vibe to the party, with eerie synth melodies and cosmic sweeps taking centre stage. An infectious builder, the track picks up some serious steam throughout and is sure to have dance floors shifting by the end.

Steadfast is proud to present a collaborative project made up of Speedy J and Brendon Moeller. Neither of these artists need introduction. Their contribution to electronic music and club culture is well documented.
These 4 tracks are the result of jam sessions in Speedy J's Rotterdam studio in May 2012. Moving into 2013, the Hot Creations camp shows no sign of slowing down with one of their biggest releases to date from the mighty production duo Benoit & Sergio. Debut release on the label 'Bridge So Far' is an utterly stunning two tracker oozing distinctive style and pop sensibility.
A-side and title track 'Bride So Far' has Benoit & Sergio written all over it with wonderfully layered synth keys and electro melody. The beautiful vocals soon enter the equation radiating a sense of power and emotion as they flow throughout and capture the heart.

Lost Paradise delivers a modern execution of our post-disco dance music culture, maintaining references to the past and looking for the oasis on the horizon. Lost Paradise #2 features two originals from Space Coast, AKA Sleazy McQueen and Jorge Collazo. Vibe A.M.is deep and dreamy with live flute and piano, emotive melodies and groovy bass. Social Disco Club and Last Waltz turn in two completely different mixes, both fit for the late or early hours of the night. Can't Get Enough Sunshine is a melodic and cerebral ode to mid-nineties New York house but with a twist.

The first Renaissance 'Masters Series' of 2013 comes courtesy of DJ, producer and label owner Nick Warren. This is not only his first compilation for the clubbing institution since 2001 but his first full solo outing over two CDs.
The mix was a joy to do. It had been a while since I had done a downtempo mix for a compilation and with the success of my Soundgarden Radio show I thought the time was right for one again. CD1 is a mix of new and old, the ambient mixes are always a bit tougher to find all new material for, and tunes like the Bubble Club track were missed by a lot of people when it was released last year. CD2 sums up where I am as a DJ right now: a mixture of deep melodic house and techno plus a euphoric ending. Like all great mixes, it is ultimately far more rewarding to sit down and absorb the sounds than read about them. The nigh on 160 minutes of genuinely engrossing, eclectic music tells the sound of Nick Warren. There's no quick start guide for this: it involves commitment.
Nick has achieved much in dance music: playing across the planet as Massive Attack's tour DJ, era defining compilations for Renaissance, Global Underground and Back To Mine, timeless music and live shows as Way Out West and residencies at all of the key clubs; Ministry of Sound, Cream and of course Renaissance. In Nick's present he continues to play out across every continent, whilst also maintaining Hope Recording's high quality output. Driven by a continual desire for change, his sound is no better represented than by his bi-monthly radio show Soundgarden on Friskyradio, which attracts over 150,000 listeners to each broadcast.
2012 saw Renaissance celebrate their twentieth year of activity. They returned to Ibiza for a sterling season at Pacha, a series of special 20th Anniversary events in the UK, headed by Sasha and, towards the end of the year, John Digweed, and instigated a new series of high quality mix compilations; Tale of Us, Francois K and Slam are all lined up for releases in the first half of 20

The A side features Leed's legend Buckley combing with Ives St. Ange on vocals to produce the most infectious slice of genre defying hip-house you'll this year, ridiculously hooky you'll be humming it until summer.. woot woot! Buckley shares the A side with house stalwarts Simon Baker and Rob James as they combine with England Brooks to deliver a slice of hot house pie best served straight up... no chaser!
On the flip and hot on the heels of the huge 'Pain 'n' Love' EP released on Hot Creations early in 2012, HNQO team up with Bip for the hotly anticipated 'City Lights'. Already highly sought after and heavily championed this is another sure-fire hit from Henrique. Next up is house hero Lil Mark, previous recording for Classic and Disco 45, Mark delivers an ice cold a slice of killer house. 'Fate & Destiny' is a truly timeless piece of house that is simply devastating on the floor!
The C Side witnesses another house legend; Filthy Rich deliver the monstrous 'Do It Again'. Rich has been releasing records since the mid 90's and this is testament to his skills as a producer, proper chi-town business. Also featured on this side is Jamie Jones edit of Alexis Raphael's 'Rave'. Another huge record that will have you jacking like a maniac, proper rave!
Finally the forth side of this salubrious double pack features LA Based band Human Life teaming up with Anabel England who sang on Lee Foss's recent Electricity track with MK. 'Falling' is an emotive electronic torch song with Anabel's stupendous voice. Finally Tom Ruijg produces a dirty jacking, break beat colossus of a track, 'S For Sticky' is another absolute killer to round off this fantastic double pack.

Toby Tobias joins the D.O.G crew for release no. 29 and fits like the proverbial
glove with an incredible EP which truly lives up to its name. Its probably fair to
say that Toby is one of the unsung heroes of the UK scene having played a pivotal
part in developing the underground disco scene of the late noughties. His Late
Night Audio parties alongside releases on Rekids, Lets Play House, Nang and
Quintessentials speak volumes as to the mans skills and fastidious nature and
here he delivers what wed be so bold as to say his best work yet with the
Pathfinder EP.

The title track kicks off and instantly you know youre in for a joyous ride with the
rawest house-not-house beats, p-funk bass and echoing stabs. Toby has a way of
mixing up the sounds and vibes to bring a fresh and original sound but with plenty
of depth and drive. Next up Fabrizio Mammarella gets stuck into Pathfinder
reworking the original into a slightly straighter, bass-heavy monster of a track which
keeps the dubbed out chords but totally wreaks havoc on the bottom end when the
bassline drops.

Flipping over were treated to the slower paced Backbeat which builds around
floating chords, chopped vocals and a boogie-inspired bassline. A true Balearic
beauty!

Finally we have a stunning little number called Abregon which completely defies
categorization but manages to successfully fuse elements of jazz, fusion, hi life and
house into a brilliantly quirky track which we challenge you not to want to do some
freaky-deaky dance to.

We're super stoked to have this killer EP out on Local Talk as we've been big fans of both C.R.S.T. and Chesus productions for good while now.
As these guys are down with both house music and the UK Garage scene we get served an EP that combines the best of both styles. The result is a jacked up house release that would work equally well at the classic New Jersey Zanzibar club or in your dirty London basement club. The first three tracks (Monster Munch, Newark and Life) takes us on a deep and jackin' house trip with a bouncy garage twist.
But to stir things up a lil' extra the last track (Special) goes all disco with some soulful philly samples...perfect for the Southport Weekender crews!

London producer George FitzGerald follows up Silhouette, his 2011 debut on Will
Saul's imprint Aus Music with a four track EP entitled Child. With past releases on
Hotflush and his own imprint, ManMakeMusic, his productions combine the lush,

So here it is...and it's been a long time coming: Metrobox makes his full debut on WPH. After collaborating vocals on last year's 'Red D Meets Vol 1' Metrobox has been working hard to create an E.P. that is totally WPH. And boy has he delivered!
'Juno 11' is one of those tracks you can play anywhere, anytime, anyplace: sultry, seductive, powerful and with a melody that sticks in your head instantly. More of that with 'Ode To WPH', Metrobox' own celebration of our label, and the very first part-Dutch lyrics on WPH. An attitude we can only commend! Beware: vocals can be addictive...
Talking about addictive, when we heard the remix our Japanese WPH connection Humandrone did of 'Ode Aan WPH'...we were hooked, and we stay hooked even after playing it endlessly. But back to Metrobox, who rounds off his label debut with 'Live The Dream', another winner in the wake of E.P. opener 'Juno 11'.
