The undisputed Queen of House Liz Torres is back on the scene with "Your Love is All I Need", a sensual track mixing heartache and hope of a love renewed. The title track blends the old and the new to create a dancefloor hit reminiscent of Emotive's early 90s output. Dennis Kane of Disques Sinthomme NY explores a guitar led disco odyssey version which has already been picked up by none other than Dave Mancuso and had its debut at the Loft last month. East London's Toby Tobias turns out a 9 minute late night build bringing in the acid and analogue elements he does so damn well. Finally the dub mix offers a stripped down MAW-esque pounding which should find its place on any sweat drenched floor. Liz Torres "Your Love is All I Need" 12" out soon on Luxor Records.

The mighty Savannah EP is the long-awaited third and final element of Mr. Beatnick's Synthetes Trilogy. Since 2011's Synthetes EP, Mr. Beatnick has been widely acknowledged as one of the most inventive producers to emerge from London in recent years. From earning his stripes as a beatsmith with releases like 2006's Bitches and holding down his regular NTS show The New Jerusalem, to delivering the Savannah EP in 2013, it has been no walk in the park for the East London based talent, but a flurry of gigs and critical recognition in the last two years have seen his profile rise. With a triumvirate of genre-challenging releases for Don't Be Afraid under his belt, and a nod to everything from house to hardcore on this latest addition, it is clear that his potential is finally being realised.

With several productions out on labels such as Leftroom, Lowpitch, Recycle and Frankfurt based Two.Birds Records - Julian is without a doubt an artist to keep an eye on.

Artists such as Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, Loco Dice, Mathias Kaden, Livio & Roby have been playing his unreleased tracks by these labels during the last 2 years. His last releases on these labels have been supported by artists such as Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Raresh, DJ Sneak, Bill Patrik, Dyed Soundorom, Jamie Jones, Alexi Delano, Luciano, Dubfire, Shaun Reeves, Robert Dietz, Alex Flatner, DJ W!ld, Jacuzzy Boys, Lauhaus, Chris Wood, Andrew Grant, Varoslav, Mirco Viol, Yakine.. To name a few.

'Bastard Child of House' is a tribute to Chicago's most famous record store. Inspired by an interview about some native Chicago guys the store, Peter Schumann and Kareem decided to set words to a tune and create their own version of the story. They asked their buddy DCNT if he could add his interpretation too. And so it happened that words became sound and sound inspired more sound and as we speak everything turns into words again.
With both versions the tooliness is very obvious, while the original is organic and warm in terms of tone and sound design, the dcnt version has a more technoish feel and relies heavily on its edgy and straightforward character.

June returns with a second release on his homonymous label with Don't Be Seen With Me EP. R-Zone is a new label launched by Global Darkness. Who is involved isn't exactly a secret, those who feel so inclined can piece the information together quite easily. It is however irrelevant to the concept of R-Zone, which would like to shift the focus away from namedropping and perception based on hype around individual artists and bring it back where it belongs; in the lap of the music.

Two decades on from the birth of garage in the UK, its resurrection is afoot on the global electronic music horizon. TRAXX 'The House That Garage Built' captures the original sounds of New York and New Jersey house and maps their evolution through to the UK interpretations of today across this carefully crafted compilation.

TRX is an exclusive collection of tracks that spot light the unknown and uprising producers featuring on a brand new compilation titled Traxx. They bring us old school techniques against some clever bass manipulation to give us their interpretations of the original New York and New Jersey sounds.
On the A side we have LA based Rhythm Operator with their track 'Anytime' followed by The Real Connoisseur with the bountiful bass 'Faux De Baux'.
The B side begins with Munich youngsters Rhode & Brown, Schegg and 'Joyride'. While Purple Velvet wrap things up with 'Never Do You Wrong'. A solid EP delivering a new take on classic sounds and a taste of what to expect on the full Traxx album release on the 25th March.

The Italian gang strikes again: Wilson-Mastermind Fabio Monesi got his hands on some real badass 90's house by The Italian house pioneer Enrico Mantini.

After four impressive releases from the likes of Ossie and Behling & Simpson, 2020 Midnight Visions kicks of its attack on 2013 with a new EP from the UK's Doc Daneeka. Last year saw Doc team up with Benjamin Damage for a well received full length on 50 Weapons, They Live!, which stood apart for its pioneering hybridisation of house, bass and techno. Here, on his own terms, Doc explores a more extroverted, melodically rich variant of bass heavy house across all four tracks.
'Day By Day' slowly percolates on lush pads and skippy percussion until flourishing into a reserved yet euphoric track with the arrival of a gauzy old soul sample. From there warm pulses of sub bass prop the lush and rousing arrangement until the end.
'Just Say The Words' is another cautiously joyous track with nimble neon chords bringing plenty of dynamism to the buried deep cry of 'yes I will'. Rubbery beats sound clean and crisp, lending a most modern and contemporary edge to this new school house template.
B1 sees 'Everyday' teasing out frazzled synth lines above a booming bottom end that bounces in time with another well­placed diva wail. Shades of Julio Bashmore lurk within and the end result is familiar feelings of house joy achieved in fresh and unfamiliar ways. Finally, 'Sunset to Neath' is of a darker, deeper mood, where prowling sub tones lend menace to the chill of icy chords up
top. It closes out an EP that proves Doc Daneeka is continuing to evolve as fast the hybrid scene in which he operates.

From sex fuelled soirees to taste making record label, the Love Fever affair continues to be London's go to establishment for high quality underground sounds. After big releases in 2012 from Bicep and Citizen (both featuring in several end of year charts), the label once again calls on the talent of family member Citizen.
The 3-track 'Trax EP' opens up with 'Everything', an ethereal excursion that shows the development in citizens sound. Deeper and darker with a clear tribute to early 90s rave, it´s main room yet with a melancholic air that creeps up on you.

Lastly ´Glastique´, continuing on from last years Room Service, builds gradually around layers of expertly arranged synth work and bass guitar riffs until swinging highs and echoed vocals drive the track to an epic and atmospheric climax.

Since the Swedish house master's hit, 'Purple Drank' back in 2010, Axel Boman has firmly made a dent on the house scene. Back with his latest EP offering, 'Black Magic Boman', ahead of his forthcoming album, Boman is really beginning to be a contender for edgy and abstract house! The EP features four highly idiosyncratic tracks, Television People, Cubic Mouth, Klinsmann and Look What You've Done To Me. Television People is a prime example of deep, dark and moody whilst in stark contrast, Cubic Mouth employs a happier aura with it's dreamy keys and tight percussion. Klinsmann changes the tone yet again, this time with a raw cut Indie-Dance persona. The final track, Look What You Have Done, is more at home on the dance floor with it's deep kicks, flitting hi-hats and warm ambience. A truly eclectic EP, full of intrigue that perfectly showcases Boman's talent.

Another storming, ranging EP from the New Yorkers: heavy-duty machine funk for the dancefloor, charged and swinging with old-school Chicago vibes.

To start, the soulful rug-cutter Down runs a sublimated tribalism beneath lovely, dubwise kick drums and sultry female vocal;
Heavy Skies is lo-fi funk, a stand-out; the bass and brilliant percussion-work of the title track crosses US garage with new UK styles (a little Joy O to its bottom end).
Discreet Time meshes vintage Chicago drum programming with the filtered house of someone like I:Cube; and to close, Plateau, a widescreen, experimental bubblers, with reaching FX'd synths and shuffling snares and hi-hats... perhaps their best yet ....

Ahead of the release of Moda Black Vol. II mixed by label bosses Jaymo & Andy George, UK imprint Moda Black drop a four track EP featuring exclusive tracks from Danny Daze & Maxxi Soundsystem, Huxley, Hot Since 82 & Habischman and Jaymo and Andy George themselves. Moda Black Vol. II, a compilation comprised entirely of exclusive tracks, drops in May but this vinyl sampler picks some of the (many) highlights and neatly packages them into a killer 12' released on 25th March.

Having gone from bright young things to one of modern house music's flag bearers in the past five years, Jaymo & Andy George are in rare form. DJ's, producers, keen-eared label bosses, organisers of the much famed Moda parties and hosts of their own US radio show, the polymathic British duo have become synonymous with quality electronic music.

Jay and Andy are up first on this sampler with 'Remember' - a sleek, modern house cut with warm FM bass and a cascading tapestry of overlaid chords and pads that is as powerful as it is deep.

Huxley continues his superb reputation with the rattling swagger of 'Diesel' while the indomitable Hot Since 82 teams up with Habischman for the moody vocal epic that is 'Leave Me'.
Danny Daze & Maxxi Soundsystem pair up for the hotly anticipated 'Karoline' and wind the EP up with utterly unique skewed funk.

The Juan Maclean has clearly reserved some crackling energy for "You Are My Destiny," his 19th release on DFA. Refracting frequent vocalist and former LCD Soundsystem band member Nancy Whang's vocals into glossolalic whirls before crashing into a full-on progressive peak-time tool, "You Are My Destiny" manages to make you believe the endearment of the title. Saved Records head Nic Fanciulli takes the reins for the b-side with a stripped remix that subverts the soaring vocal and numerous crescendos into a claustrophobic thump, while a crunchy bass line plays hide-and-seek with shy pads.

With Reality On the Horizon, Let's Play House continues to prove it's not afraid to push the boundaries of house music while simultaneously broadening the spectrum of talent its roster embodies. The EP features four tracks by two Los Angeles-based outfits who have been around for a few years, primarily as taste-maker DJs—Cosmic Kids and Fingerpaint, a.k.a. Tyler Blake of Classixx.
The record kicks off with the one collaborative composition, 'Manteiga.' And, like the S. American butter it's named after, it's a silky smooth jumble of disco samples and whimsical piano riffs, bright and brassy horns, and a bass-heavy melody that evokes the quintessential French house of the 90s. Following the party that 'Manteiga' started is Fingerpaint's 'Change Yr Mind,' a slightly more somber affair that oozes melancholy from start to finish.
The flip finds Cosmic Kids getting deep and heady while not losing their penchant for cranking out groovy boogies that are impossible to switch off repeat. 'Higgs Boson'—which is just as ethereal, spacy, and, yes, cosmic as you would expect a song named after the theoretical particle would be—functions as the duo's exploration of their darker side. 'Whisper Softly,' on the other hand, is the closest you'll get to the house version of a 90s R&B ballad of TLC proportions.
It's rare to find someone able to naturally create music that can both pluck every single heart string and get your body moving all night long, but Cosmic Kids and Fingerpaint somehow deliver just that—and knock it out of the park!—on their EP. Blast off to the stars with Reality On the Horizon!

King Street Sounds celebrates its double decade-long love of House Music with one of its foremost heroes, Louie Vega. A milestone for both as Louie Vega won 2 Grammy Awards, been part of one of the most influential House Music production teams, namely Masters At Work, launched such monumental and groundbreaking projects like Nuyorican Soul and Elements of Life, release significant productions on his Vega Records, tour with his beautiful wife, performer and DJ Anane, as well as to this day, continuing to wow audiences each and every week around the world with his superb mixing skills as a live DJ. In this time King Street has also seen its share of successes, working with Louie and launching 2 sister labels, Nite Grooves & Street King, creating a catalog of over 1800 titles, a few mainstream chart toppers, and contributing to the early careers of some of the most world-renowned artists in House Music; namely DJ Pierre, Satoshi Tomiie, Cevin Fisher, Dimitri from Paris, Roland Clark, Blaze, Tony Humphries, David Morales, Danny Tenaglia, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Joe Claussell, and many, many others. Louie Vega and King Street have come together once again to mark the label's 20th Anniversary. This momentous occasion is marked by a double release on CD with an homage being paid to the Master at Work himself. On CD1 Louie returned to his lab and re-worked Dennis Ferrer feat Mia Tuttavilla's smash hit Touched the Sky, and has especially created his very own intermittent Vega beat original floor fillers, namely I, II, & III, which are seamlessly mixed throughout various segments. All of the selected tunes have slight peaks and valleys with mostly even keels and steady tempos, that tug on the swaying hips ever-so deeply. Other highlights on this comp include Jon Cutler's dub of Kimara Lovelace's Far Away, Mr.V's 5 Beats Mute Pass of DJ Roland Clark's "Have A Good Time," the Kerri Chandler Kaoz 6:23 Dub of Studio Apartment feat. Monique Bingham's "Found Him," the Teddy Douglas Re-Edit of Pastaboys Main Mix of Ananda Project's club hit "Where The Music Takes You" and quite a number of other notables. CD2 is 11 of the Best Of Productions and Remixes he did for King St over the years. From the classics, "Souffles H," "Cassio's Theme," and to the more recent "Touched The Sky," "Lovery" and many more. Since its spawning form the days of Disco and morphing and evolving over the years into its varied styles, House/Dance Music/EDM, once considered the bastard child of the music industry, never ever went away and with 20-years etched into music history, further proof that a label like King Street Sounds and artists like Louie Vega have surely stood the test of time.

Brazilian duo Digitaria get set to 'Shine' even brighter with a highly anticipated second EP for the one and only Hot Creations. A potent mix of sweetly sensual vocals and dreamy electro pop with a kick for the floor, the 'Shine' EP is backed by a pair of exceptional remixes courtesy of cosmic icon Morgan Geist and on-point breakthrough artist of 2012, wAFF.
A-side 'Shine' instantly captivates with a wash of soaring synths that accentuate the warm glow of Daniela's intoxicating voice. Lyrics forming the beating heart of the song along with the melodic bassline groove, this is a record destined to give the crowd that warm fuzzy feeling at a sunrise set. One of NYC's finest Morgan Geist, aka Storm Queen and one half of Metro Area, bestows his genius in the first 'Shine' remix, introducing staccato synths, a pulsing bass beat and later an intense fusion of cosmic chimes, undulating rhythms and popping percussion.
B-side 'Mystic Flow' is a more late night affair, building layers of mystical voodoo over the low elastic bassline and punchy textured groove, the vocals imbued with a hypnotic snake charmer quality. Last but by no means least; wAFF's remix of 'Shine' has got something of the Ame classic 'Rej' about it. Immersing Daniela's crystalline vocals in a molten sound bed of psychedelic prog, wAFF knows how to get you tripping.
Digitaria is the project formed by Daniela Caldellas and Daniel Albinati, on the sunny shores of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Seducing Latin America and beyond since
2004 with their blend of romantic electro pop, the duo met Jamie Jones one steamy night in 2012 at Warung nightclub and soon got the Hot Creations boss hooked on their sound. Tracks passed over soon after became the Digitaria/Funkyfat 'Masochist EP', a subsequent summer hit, and the rest is history. First release of 2013 was collaboration with the Adana Twins 'Reaction' on Jeudi Records, and the Hot Creations 'Shine EP' is sure to further mark the duo as a global force of nature.

The label arm of booking agency Vibes & Pepper have come through with something a bit special for their latest release, with a collection of tracks from the archives of UK house producers Synchrojack. "Back To The Shack" kicks things off with a warm but relentless Detroit house groove, its 303 bassline looping inwards on crisp hi-hats and snare rolls, while "Windfalls" offers a dusty house number with loose, jazzy beats worthy of The Godson. On the flip, "Is It" offers a classic sequence of oven-warm organ chords with trumpet samples buried deep within, while "One (Edit)" offers a semi-improvisational piece of proto-beatdown house, where unpredictable keys mingle with marimba tones and deep sub-bass.

In the 9th release of Greece's Echovolt, Simoncino meets the legendary vocalist Julian Jonah! The result is a shimmering house track full of emotions, reminiscent of Larry Heard, Ten City or even Electribe 101. The dub mix of 'Where Did You Go' pitches all of the track's elements into a different level - merely a weapon in the hands of the DJ.

Following a 12'' single for the Church label, released in Autumn 2012, Lorca reappears with his first full EP containing 3 brand new tracks for 2020 Midnight Visions.

Breaking into the scene in 2011 with 'Moments' and 'Hold Back' on Throwing Snow's Left_Black imprint; Lorca's profile has only continued to rise. 2012 saw The release of his first single on Dummy Records, 'Can't See Higher/Missed Me' which was championed by everyone from Scuba to Rob Da Bank to Deetron to Bonobo.

Welcome aboard Principal Records, who debut with 'In My Mind' by 'thatmanmonkz' (whose recent EP for Tone Control has been making serious waves) affiliated act S&M (feat. Dnaë) - a deep, disco infused house release backed with a remix from Wolf Music's ever in-demand Medlar.
Principal Records is the brainchild of DJ/Producers Rob Fahey and Jeff Daniels, the former having previously released for Under The Shade and the latter a UK-Music industry veteran having held positions with the likes of BMG and Sole Unlimited.
S&M comprises Danimal Swainger (aka Daniel Swain) and Thatmanmonkz (aka Scott Moncrieff) who met in Sheffield's notorious muso drinking hole, Dulo.
Danimal had a history on the 'edits' scene while thatmanmonkz has developed a formidable reputation as Toddla T's cohort in the Small Arms Fiya imprint.

For 'In My Mind' the duo team up with Dnaë, a hugely promising vocalist hailing from Kingston, Jamaica and now based in the steel-city. 'In My Mind' is gentle, rhythmic house with afro-beat overtones and rich, deep house sensibilities.
