Described by Igor himself as "psychological self-portrait", a missing link between *Skalpel's* "Konfusion" and Igors's debut album "Breslau" (his first solo work, released on Ninja Tune). The latest release, is a place where jazz inspirations meet psychedelic elements of krautrock and new wave, creating a mosaic of musical hallucinations.

Wow, Elvis found us! And we're happy! Do not expect Rock 'n' Roll, but for sure some great tunes from Elvis (which is btw. his real first name!). After many UK based producers, it's time again for some homeboys. Elvis is a young DJ and producer from Zurich/Switzerland and his "Humney" EP is his first full release to date.

'Humney" is that catchy House tune with a touch of the 90`s house sound, with a great bass line, sexy vocals (from the lovely Choklate) and solid beats. The up and coming Palace (Hot Haus Records) adds a rougher vibe with his remix, but it's still "Humney". "The Way" is taking a deeper direction and shows that Elvis Cassetta is definitely a name to watch out for!

Brooklyn-based team, part of the Teklife family, were featured on the Teklife Presents: Nextlife 3LP compilation (Hyperdub). 2 skittering, jazz-infused sides of footwork that feel as chill as they do energetic.

Soul Habitat is an independent deep house project with musical roots firmly attached to early garage house style. At the same time, it pays tribute to the artists, who were creating the genre and the scene in 80's and 90's. Raw drum sounds, sampled organs along with classic swing grooves - each of Soul Habitat tunes brings the essence of retrospective house music with a modern twist. Throughout the organic and dirty sound , the tracks at some point reflects human life lines - full of imperfections , jumps and sudden twists and turns, but still harmonious and resonant . You can find some melodic parts that are repeated throughout the song and those that only appear for a moment and never returns.
All of the tracks are largely inspired by the life of big cities - New York, London, Paris along with many others. The musical flavor of the productions is a combination of sound experiences gained from traveling to those places and inspirations that have been collected by listening to various music genres over the years. Each of the pieces is very often associated to distinctive architecture, cultural heritage and regular way of life of the inhabitants of large cities.

When it comes to mixing, Soul Habitat is no newcomer to the scene. More than 10 years of experience in the production and DJ-ing different genres helped to evolve a unique style of playing sets. Combining raw bouncing beats and melancholic soulful tunes, the sets that Soul Habitat plays are the essence from the classic "golden era" style of house music. And they are 100% vinyl.
Musical inspirations comes primarily from artists based in U.S., UK and France - especially those, who promote classical deep house and garage sounds, f.e. : Bicep , Washerman , NY Stomp (Gerd ) , Kool Vibe , DJ Steaw , Detroit Swindle , Jeremy MLIU, Motor City Drum Ensemble, DJ Nav, Ringard, Squarehead , The Groove Victim , New Jack City, Brawther, Enrico Mantini, Sem & Ultra Knites, Alex Agore, Mike Sharon, Steve Huerta and many others .

Black Loops have previously released on labels like Toy Tonics which brought them fans like Groove Armada, Huxley, Art Department and of course Audiojack who signed them to their own Gruuv Recordings. Simplon is a New Jersey jacking house track that bumps along when remixed by Sidney Charles, who ups the ante and increases the energy of the super smooth original. Cabron is next up with its moody b line and gravelly vocal snippets. Up on you is the last on the Ep and this verges towards the deeper end of the scale with soft pads, bass tones and shimmering house grooves. Four very useable quality house tracks on a great label.

It's one of the biggest bassline house tracks ever made, and has been the climax of DJ Q's sets for the best part of a decade. It's been bootlegged, it's been edited and we've never seen it not get a reload, but it's not been given an official release until now. File it alongside T2's 'Heartbroken', Piddy Py's 'Giggle Riddim' and more in the instant bassline classic category.Even better, it's backed with 'Poison', a similarly legendary bassline dub which somehow never came out before. 'Rocky' /' Poison' marks DJ Q's return to Local Action, the label that released his debut album Ineffable and his 2-step anthem 'Brandy & Coke'. SG Lewis announces his new EP along with opening single 'No Less'. Entrancing and measured, SG's meticulous production is partnered with newcomer Louis M^ttrs contributing vocals, taking the track even further into the soulful territory and exemplifying the young producer's ability to create arresting electronic music.
