It is that time of the year again for a catch up on all that has been going on at Nang towers. For the third instalment of our 'Array' series we are chuffed to present a few recent hits, a few future hits and some great tunes we just had to include. The sampler 12" takes the more vinyl friendly bits and crams them all onto one cool vinyl.

Ananda Project and P'Taah frontman Chris Brann steps out of production mode for a hot second to DJ a summertime mix of pure deep and rhythmic musical bliss. The second comp to be launched in the series follows the first very successful effort by Kiko Navarro and coincidentally starts off with 2 of his productions. The tribal-lite percussive "Quartett O'batalistico" by Tuccillo & Kiko flows gently through to Kiko's Disco Mix of Ananda's "Into the Sunrise." As Navarro passes the torch to Brann, we hear Franco Mulero's dulcet piano-laden "Porroig" followed by Jay J's deep and bass...

Disco Circus (Volume 3) is the third instalment of the critically acclaimed compilation series from rising DJ/producer Mighty Mouse. In only a short time this disco loving psychedelic Mouse from space has notched up and impressive CV. It was remixing the likes of Gorrilaz, Robbie Williams, Ali Love, Bent, Fenech-Solar, Shy Child, Robortom feat. Au Revoir Simone, Shades Of Rhythm and Roy Davis Jnr, where Mighty Mouse quickly caught the attention of the blog's, becoming an online success.
Disco Circus 3 is fusion of disco past, present and future. It features some of the most exciting modern disco and electro producers of the moment along with a host of rare gems from the 70's and 80's. 30 tracks seamlessly mixed over 2 CD's. The first in a series of 12"s where PACIFIC HORIZONS call on their pals to rework their tracks. BITCHES BREW label boss/DJ COSMO and YAM WHO remix "BEACHES OF THE BLACK SEA" on one side, while "STEALING THE FIRE FROM HEAVEN" gets remixed by LA DJ's TK DISCO & ALEXANDRE MOURACAD on the flip.

Version Especial aims to showcase unbridled disco edits, light on the knife & featuring subtle reworks of tried and true classics. The disco edit market has been fixated on slowing down, but VE aims to pick up the pace and tempo. ESP01 features edits courtesy of Boston based maniac, Brenden Wesley and Whiskey Disco jefe Sleazy McQueen.

The Formula is a four-track EP of music written and composed by young Italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Fabrizio 'B.Kun' Pollice with drums by Ed 'HED' Amati. B.Kun originally wrote most of the music on the EP for a live show put together by Original Cultures in 2011 which featured a live band with HED on drums, Mannaman on bass, Danilo Mineo on percussion and Architeq (UK) as dubmaster.

Following the success of the event, Original Cultures have curated four tracks for the EP which were re-recorded in B.Kun's studio. Everything you hear on this EP has been played live - absolutely no computers. The music on The Formula ranges from club friendly hip hop and dubstep tinged with electro on Black Tea Morning and Nightfall to smoked out dub vibes on Just Remember and nostalgic blues on Primitive Fire. Remixes have been commissioned from Japan's Daisuke Tanabe, London's Om Unit (who was among the first artists to take parts in Original Cultures in 2009) and Brussels' Squeaky Lobster. Each delivers a unique take on the originals: Daisuke and Squeaky Lobster send Black Tea Morning into more abstract hip hop realms while Om Unit shows why he is one of 2012's most in demand artists by outdubbing Just Remember into a low-slung riddim with chest-pounding sub aquatic bass that has already been tested on Fabric's mighty room 2 system to great effect.

With the third release still occupying both the charts and dance floors, as universal plaudits ripple through the great disco ensemble, HOD's fourth release Busy Tone will no doubt be greeted with the warm embrace and support it so richly deserves.
To kick-start proceedings, OOFT! - the productive mask of Glasgow-based Ali Herron - presents 'Mazin'. In recent years OOFT! has furnished us with a number of memorable deep, pitched-down gems, and in this slow burner he delivers yet again. Imagine waking up in the morning and realising that summer was a permanent season and you didn't have to work ever again: this would compliment that feeling perfectly.
In 'Seventh', the two halves of Dikso Records certainly make this a wholesome treat, as you would always expect from the collective craft of Daniel Solar and Andi de Luxe, masterfully blending a techno backbone with a stunning disco complexion. Quite simply, two of Germany's finest at their best.
The label welcomes back the well-groomed Debonair for his second outing, following on from the furore of 'Why' and Conor Bevan, who dresses as sharply as he produces, proves that he's here for the long-haul with 'Your Love'. In true Debonair style, he injects a vibrant club tempo into a classic disco sound, without removing any of the original charm. You could say his feet are now firmly under the HOD table.
Australia's dance music progeny have been setting the pace in recent times, and one of these family members is Late Nite Tuff Guy. The versatile producer consistently makes jam after jam, including his superior Tuff Edits volumes, and his signature is evident in the gorgeous 'I'm Going Outta My Head' - a fine display of meticulous loops and soulful vocals that would easily resuscitate a lagging party.

Time to welcome Ben Sun to D.O.G with his incredible Love Momentum EP containing three tracks of the raw stuff to groove to. Some may know Ben Sun from his previous releases on the brilliant Voyeurhythm label, his own vinyl-only imprint distributed by Clone which was established in 2009. Others might have his remixes of Reggie Dokes on Royal Oak or Deep Space Orchestra on Boogie Originals. Whatever, this man is making serious waves right now and adds yet another feather in the collective cap of young Antipodean producers making underground house music with their own unique and authentic approach.
You Should Know Better kicks off in fine style bringing the thump and the funk with a doff of the cap to the Moody one in this ten minute excursion into sampled basslines and cut-up beats. Nagging strings and filtering horn sample increase the tension, interspersing the vocal clips perfectly and driving the track to the midpoint breakdown where the rousing speech pushes the energy levels further still. The second part of the track introduces the soloing rhodes hook which loops up and builds slowly before letting loose in an all out jazz jam bringing things to a suitably funked-up conclusion.
Flip over for the slightly straighter classic house bounce of Yesterlife, all splashing 909 hats, pads that Mr Heard himself would approve of and a warm bassline bringing the boom to the track. We can't get enough of the raw energy Ben's got running through this one.
Finally, we have the epic beauty of Love Hotel to get your teeth sunk into. Once again, the production is completely on point, sounding sweet, deep and musical but staying raw and gritty. This one features NYC's finest exponent of slo-mo, sultry house Slow Hands so that should give you an idea of the quality we're talking about here

Sadly Betty Botox is no longer with us. She departed planet earth in 2010 and leaves a gaping hole amongst all those who knew her. She left behind a DAT tape in her studio with '"The Final EP" written on the cover in lipstick, which her closest confidants feel she wanted to be her last statement to the world. So, after a slight delay, two years later, 4 tracks that were regular features in her musically wayward dj sets are now available for her to fans to hear and play. Combining her love for Psyche Funk, Cosmic Synth, Space Rock and late 70s Stadium Rock these reworkings, remixes, refixes and reproductions of known and unknown tracks are sure to be hits on non-conservative dance floors everywhere.

Lee Webster is totally against monogamy in music. "I love Hiphop like I love House and theres room in this relationship for more," he explains. He cites influences as wide-ranging as Lord Finesse, Ed Rush & Optical, Disclosure, Recloose, Jamie Jones and makes music to match. On this ep for Glasgow Underground he covers jacking chicago house ("Freaky Bitches"), deep garage ("My Fantasy" & "Friday Night") and a sultry, mid-tempo disco groove ("Detroit Cheeky Things"). We didn't have room on this ep to cover all the styles this talented young English-born, Barcelona based producer can deliver but rest-assured there's more to come.
