Radio Cosmos is back with more beautiful, well crafted synth disco tracks. Keen K already stole our heart with his previous releases on Das Drehmoment, here he got some remix help of Infam and Roland Sebastian Faber aka Kinky Roland known for his excellent releases on Aube. On the split there is Infinity night with some classic bombastic synthesizer disco pop. Jean Michel Jarre would be proud of him! Limited edition.

Keen K., Kinky Roland (vocals) & Infinity Night will take you on another melodic trip into italo romantics! Inspired and fascinated by the golden age of italo disco (1983-1985) these guys could be considered the nu-romantics of italo-disco. Needless to say these tracks were created completely on old analog synthesizers

(SOLID RED VINYL) Nocturnal Groove present a reworking of Sylvester's 80's anthem by two of the house music's founding fathers Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper; disco credentials don't come more reputable than this. B. Slade lays down a fresh new vocal and the production is brought into the digital age on this slick reworking of one of discos most recognisable melodies; bouncier, a little bit faster and primed for a party. Get ready to re-educate the younger house generation with this. Meme takes a high energy disco approach. Pumping best describes the South American's efforts, with plenty of phaser on the melody catapulting you straight into space.

Two fantastic disco edits: SOIREE's string laden disco cover of DIANA ROSS' "YOU KEEP ME HANGIN' ON" is on the A-side. Originally it had some spotty vocals on it but they got edited out leaving a killer disco instrumental. B/w an extended edit of "SOMETHIN' BOUT YOU" by MILLIE JACKSON.

It features vocal and song writing skills of young and unknown American talent Athena Radford and tells another peculiar modern day story where trans Atlantic virtual friendship ends up with a sincere collaborative song of utmost and almost otherworldly beauty. Elegantly packed together with remixes from Viking Disco don Prins Thomas, top Ukrainian producer Eugene Filatov, and Silence Music associate Few Nolder Like A Child is a little gem to have and to hold.

The mysterious K&B pairing are back on No More Hits with another huge release to round off the year. Following their massive No More Hits 15 release 'Ain't No Woman' almost exactly a year ago. Make no mistake, this one is equally as good and we expect big things from K&B in 2013!

Number 10 in the Rio Edits series is here! This 12' steps away from the Brazillian flavour of the last few Rio Edits, taking up an American vibe. Killer release as is expected from the Rio label!

Latest installment in the excellent Balearica series, featuring another round of wonderfully eclectic delights. First on the decks is the extended 12' version of Karen Young's in-demand 'Deetour'. Originally released back in '82, this beautifully spaced out funky dancer with its fat bass, cool vocals and flute never fails to ignite the dancefloor. Next comes the chugging syncopated groove and haunting synth melody of the sought-after instrumental 'Afro Mix' of great Italo track 'Zanzibar' from Helen. Flip over for the incredible eight minute 12' version of Tony Esposito's 'Je Na'. Mixed by Klein & MBO legend Mario Boncaldo, this psychedelically hypnotic percussion extravanza is almost impossible to find nowadays in the original 12'.
Last up is the fantastic delicate laid-back funk of Ahmed Fakrun's highly-desirable 'Nisyan' previously only available as a mega-rare Italian 7' from 1977. Essential EP for all lovers of that Balearic sound!

Crazy P return with one of the highlights from the 'When We On' album. 'Heartbreaker' is the sound of a band at the top of it's game, amazing musicians showing the disco pretenders how its done. The track came out of one of their many jam sessions and moves along on subtle changes of the drums, bass, guitars and keys that only a band with an intimate knowledge of themselves and the dancefloor can employ. To be given these kinds of parts for a remix must be a joy for any producer and the lucky pair on remix duties are Mark E and Huxley
We've been big fans of Mark E since he appeared on the scene with his amazing Womack and Womack edit and he's played 2020Vision parties for us where he always proves he's a master of rocking the party without having to compromise his deep and classic style. His remix is deep, moody and hypnotic and no doubt has already been doing the business in his sets, it's a great alternative to the summery sounds of the original.

Huxley has already appeared on 2020 with the 'Out Of The Box EP' and it's good to have him back, his mix is another of his excellent house/garage fusions. He keeps a lot of the parts that makes the original so addictive, but flips it into a Huxley club track with his trademark drums and bass.

Every once in a while a record or in this case an EP comes along and it's so bursting with feel good vibes that even the most cynical dance music listener can't resist. At the mere age of 19, Francisco Davalos is about to grab the attention of many. Simply put, the young mexican has a superb ear for the language of music. After a recent 12" on Nurvous (Nervous Records new sublabel), On The Prowl finds itself lucky to land these four tropical themed disco tinged club bombs. With hints of what made Tensnakes's "Coma Cat" so successful the Bronx skillfully puts together his "Tropical EP" packed with plenty of playful pianos, strings, congas, marimbas... there's no holding back.

IS IT BALEARIC hit their late 20's with another superb release - this time Craig Bratley steps up with Analogue Dreams
Craig has earnt quite a reputation from only a handful of releases, including the Weatherall favourite and classic cut 'Birdshell' on Instruments Of Rapture.
On Analgue Dreams, Craig lays down a gently evolving, Acid tinged Piano slow burner, all mood and melody.
First up on the remix we have the ever essential Bonar Bradberry who amps things up and takes a clonking bass riff down the Disco for a real good time.On the flip Crimea X pare the musical elements right down and build an epic remix from the raw ingredients, employing live percussion and shimmering synths.
Finally Joe's Bakery dial down the tempo and incorporate some deft acoustic guitar and gentle moodswings alongside the musical elements of the original

Next up on the Psychemagik label Discotheque Wreckers are two super obscure afro disco killers. First up 'Systematic Lover' is a brutally funky, full frontal psyched out disco attack with wobbling synths and breaks that crack every floor. The Flip 'Jungle Juice' a midtempo chugger, drops an evil, hypnotic bassline with fresh harp and congas over tight funky drums, pure voodoo, both sides revealing another niche in the crate diggers never ending repertoire.

Newly mastered and cut on 45 RPM, Knuggles Recordings issues two kicking club tracks by Netto Houz from their Album 'Room 7101. 'Noctambulism' and 'Rossi's Records' were recorded in 1997 under the strong influence and in deep adoration of the music released by the great Chicago House labels of that time. Vinyl only, limited to 200 copies.

After the great Menergy ep, Re-Tide is back on taste Of Honey with a new vintage project, but calibrated for all the clubs around the world. "From The Block" using a sample very famous already taken for the song of Jennifer Lopez. The sound is very 70' with a great groove that will move many heads. West & Girl is a mash-up of Pet Shop Boys' sound and the beautiful voice of Diana. The result is a great Nu-Disco sound for excellent atmosphere. A few copies available!

After the success of Pablo and Shoey's 'Rejigs' series, Fatty Fatty Phonographics steps things up a notch with 'Downtown Classics Vol 1', featuring the big tracks and out-there obscurities that have worked the floor at the long running Dublin club collective's nights.
Side A makes room for all 13 minutes of Daniel Wang and Brennan Green's jaw dropping mix of Block 16's 'Electrokution'.
Block 16 were Ray Mang and Harvey/Idjuts collaborator Pete Z, and their 'Morning Sun' LP on Nuphonic got lost among the label's messy demise in 2001.
It didn't stop The Unabombers proclaiming it 'Album of the Year - We are kneeling' nor Daniel Wang taking up the baton and releasing this gem on his Balihu label, taking the hypnotic electro stylings of the original on a right journey by adding some propulsive Loft style disco and a totally unexpected melodica led dub reggae coda, Augustus Pablo stylee.
The original Balihu 12 has shouts to both Harvey and Dutch Italo-disco don I-F on it, and that about sums it up where this marvellous piece of 21st Century musical madness is coming from.
On the flip we have ourselves some joyful charity shop disco in the form of Sweet Cream's 1978 screamer 'I Don't Know What I'd Do If You Ever Left Me'. All Pablo and Shoey had to do to this little gem was create a lovely extended percussive intro before letting the insistent riff and squealing moog of the main song go.
A favourite of Larry Levan's at the Garage by all accounts, it's hands in the air chorus and brassy disco swagger meant it went all the way uptown to Studio 54 in disco's commercial peak year. More importantly, it has consistently plastered smiles on the faces of peak-time Downtown dancefloors since 2003, and we're delighted to share it with the world now!

'The Secret Life Of Us' is their most excting adventure into modern soulful music yet! Who could resist the catchy Chic style disco of the title track with its story of an illicit affair or the witty, 'this woman wears the trousers', 2 step boogie 'My Way'. Things get jazzier on the moody electro 'Jazz The DMX' with Bluenote piano and dubby weirdness, while the rolling downtempo pimp groove of 'Opus de Soul' has beautiful lush live strings that even Barry White might be proud of. Even echoes of the Doobie Brothers resonate through 'Caught In The Moment'. The album also features their glimmering disco-tinged outing, 'In The Thick Of It', which hit the Traxsource No.1 spot in just 4 days of release this month! What is common throughout 'The Secret Life Of Us' is the attention to detail and labour of love that's gone into crafting this wonderful collection of fantastic songs, all performed by a truly heavyweight collective of talent!
'The Secret Life Of Us' features band members who regularly play live around the world headed by singers Pete Simpson and Donna Gardier. The nucleus of Tony Remy (guitar), Julian Crampton (bass) and Frank Tontoh (drums) are also joined by a selection of vocal stars from the soulful scene including Angela Johnson, Noelle Scaggs, Darien and Vivienne McKone. Combine this standard of musicianship with strong songs and Dave's sharp arrangements and you've got a potent brew both in the studio and on the live stage. Joey co-wrote most of the songs with Diane Charlemagne, who many will know from Goldie's 'Inner City Life'. 'Diane is super talented and writes with wit and intelligence', says Joey. Diane also performs vocals on 'My Way', 'Definition of Love' and the album title track with Donna Gardier. The Sunburst Band are set to release a whole host of the singles from the album, employing hot remix talents such as Lovebirds, Atjazz and DJ Spinna.
Lengthy artist careers in the music business are few and far between, but in the ever-changing world of dance music they are scarcer than a signed Moroder 12'. Joey Negro/Dave Lee's debut release may have been part of the first wave of UK house back in 1988, but more than 20 years later he is still on top of his game. The Sunburst Band, formed in 1998, is a collective born out of Mr Lee's passion for boogie, funk, disco and jazz. Their debut album 'Here Comes The Sunburst Band' won critical acclaim with both old school heads as well as nu breed disco and house fans. Tracks like 'Garden of Love' and 'Delicious' became scene classics, championed by DJs from Pete Tong to 4 Hero. The follow-up 'Until The End Of Time' (2004) featured cuts like 'Far Beyond' a hit with the US hip hop guys, and soul anthem 'Everyday' (favourited by Annie Mac & Trevor Nelson) Collaborators on the third studio album 'Moving With The Shakers' (2009) included Harlem soul legend Leroy Burgess and Chaka Khan's sister Taka Boom.

Nick Anthony aka Simoncino takes the helm for the second in the Conservation Dept. series. Following on from The killer Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club release earlier this year. Already garnering love from far and wide this 4 tracker packs a heavy punch! Nothing short of excellent, as is expected from the talented Mr. Anthony.

A rare chance to get hold of two of pop legend Prince's most sought-after dancefloor bombs on one slab of 12' vinyl. This great remastered reissue features the super-rare long versions of both 'Sexy Dancer' and 'Controversy'. Both originally only available as limited promos, these awesome extended versions went on to become underground club classics receiving heavy rotation from the likes of Larry Levan and Ron Hardy amongst many others. The A-side's 'Sexy Dancer' from 1979 was Prince's first foray into 12' extended versions though weirdly enough it never secured a US release, which is maybe why it's so hard to track down nowadays. It's a super-funky disco killer featuring Prince's trademark prominent bass licks and mesmerising guitar solos. Flip over for over seven minutes of uncompromising raw funk from the ever-relevant Controversy. A sure-fire floor-filler whenever it's dropped, this extended version is ramped up with extra heavy bass and guitar. A must for Prince fans and disco connoisseurs alike - don't miss!

We droppped Vol One of the C.A series in 2010. DEADBOY had been working with classic rnb acapellas and writing new tracks around them. Both Cassie and Ashanti were re-worked into 3 sublime dancefloor heaters that were hungrily received and have retained their appeal to this day.

In 2011 on the second volume, we continued the rnb refix theme but opened the doors to multiple contributors. We struck gold, with Deadboy's 'Fireworks' edit becoming a bit of an anthem.
This was supported by tracks of sheer quality from GONGON & BAD AUTOPSY / SKINNZ & GATTO VIOLA & DOC DANEEKA. The 12" has exchanged hands for a pretty penny on discogs we observed.

In 2012, times have moved on. The current bias of UK dance music is well-documented and suffice to say we like to be looking in different directions not yet covered on our label. BAD AUTOPSY had been experimenting with edits of 80s disco and proto house, some obscure, some less so - but compressing these into thrilling new arrangements and adding acapellas from seperate sources. These are so well intertwined that the effect is unusual. Re-edits with a difference we reckon. The ingredients may be of a retro-tendency but to us these tracks sound frrrrrrrrrrresh. 'Curious' will get em jackin, 'Medicine' is a brazen belter, 'Without End' is all sultry and steamy with lust and longing and 'Teedraheedren' takes you on a psychedelic electro-funk odyssey before dovetailing into a dubbed-out arpeggio wonderland.

We really are extremely pleased with the vibe of this release. Hope it hits you in a good place.

With his Midnight Riot compilations, Yam Who has proved to be a shrewd mover. By focusing largely on the edits-not-edits sound - where disco and electrofunk meets deep house - he's managed to catch the zeitgeist of a scene that remains hugely popular.

This third volume reads like a veritable who's who of contemporary talent, featuring both well-known names (Ilya Santana, Rayko, Sleazy McQueen, Get Down Edits, Deadly Sins and Yam Who) and rising stars (Shit Hot Soundsystem, Jimmy The Twin, B-Jam, the excellent Stupid Human).

Musically, it largely delivers what you'd expect, expertly moving between delay-laden disco dubbiness, Tiger & Woods-ish disco-house and starlight nu-boogie.

Continuing their forays into the world of yesteryear grooves unabated, those pesky hell-dwelling Lumberjacks are at it again, this time drafting in O Boogie and Red Greg for some disco funk finesse for the smoothest get-downs. O Boogie lords it over the first side, leaning heavy on a rich piano hook that hammers lower register chords over an incessant disco tick, while evergreen track "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" gets re-versioned in such a floor-burning fashion you'll need asbestos boots just to get out alive. Red Greg's "Inner Rhythm" plies familiar tropes into a sweet instrumental groove that makes all the right moves.

With an array of classic remixes under its belt, Domino is proud to release Motion Sickness - a collection of some of the finest the label has to offer- on December 3rd.
Taking its name from the opening track of Hot Chip's current album In Our Heads, Motion Sickness brings together some of the most respected names in dance music with the key players in the Domino roster.
From disc one's swell of deep, sumptuous re-workings of Domino classics including the Grammy Award-nominated Carl Craig remix of Junior Boys' "Like a Child" right through to the more esoteric, obscure and contemporary rebirths like Mike Simonetti's hard-to-find "Champagne Coast" remix on the second, it's a compilation that will work throughout the night and into the morning.
Now with the release of Motion Sickness, these definitive remixes have been brought together for the first time.
Also featuring suitably kinetic artwork from Liquid Liquid's Dennis Young, Motion Sickness puts the spotlight on Domino's previously obscured night-time alter ego.
