This is called 'Sequanza Lunga' and obviously is inspired by Suspiria which is a 1977 Italian horror film directed by Dario Argento.

These are some of his most sought after unreleased edits that are known for their strong reaction on the dance floor. They cause an instant heat. His perversity shines through the extreme tempo shift of 'Jungle Fever' lifting it up into pure ecstatic dance floor action, with all the eroticism of 'French Kiss' and all the spanish funk groove of Barrabas. We could to listen to the hypnotic 'Goodnight' for hours on end, finally seeing light on vinyl. Gay Marvine's 'What's Happening Bro' is not an edit per se, it's what happens when you cross that line and it becomes house. This is perhaps his greatest tribute to Moodymann and his sets at Better Days,Hotbox and La Dolce Vita. The EP ends with the ever dirty 'Bump Man' and Gay Marvine's unique feverish take the needy anthem. Gay Marvine might just be the Frankie Knuckles of edits, because his music will keep you warm in the cold, a true musical heater.

London-based producer, visual artist and NTS Radio host Kit Grill has announced a new 5-track EP, titled Westway and set for release on 7th October via his own Primary Colours imprint. The EP will be available digitally along with a limited run of 200 vinyl copies designed by Alex Sullivan, with cover photography by Grill and an accompanying video by London director Laurie Lynch.

Westway draws on Grill's personal experiences of living in a cityscape and echoes the industrial, fast-paced and repetitive rhythm of his home city, London. The EP was recorded over the course of several months from early 2015 to February of this year, the propulsive beats and driving, shimmering synthwork across tracks like 'Distance' and 'Street Runner' inspired by and echoing the Brutalist beauty of the capital, culminating in the euphoric, widescreen string flourishes of closing track 'Stairway'.

Kit Grill's output spans across music, photography, painting and video. After graduating from Chelsea College of Art and Design, he spent the next two years experimenting with sound and studying music. In 2013 he released his first EP Expressions on Primary Colours, and later that year a full studio album Mirror Image was released through the GetMe! label.

The Independent hailed Grill a minimalist master' and he saw further praise from the likes of Boiler Room, XLR8R and Jacques Greene, who told Dummy, "If I had to compare Kit Grill to other artists, the more musical side of Steve Reich's work and Koreless immediately come to mind. But I'd rather simply enjoy his music as this one solid argument for minimalism amongst all that busy noise." Grill produced a video to accompany the track 'Velodrome' using found footage from the 1980 Moscow Olympics, which gained widespread recognition.

The Europe EP was released in 2015 with original artwork by Grill, followed by Paradise, which showcased a new direction in sound, mixing '80s new wave with modern classical influences. The breadth of influences across his own productions is something Kit explores in his monthly Sunday show on NTS, playing an eclectic range of music from around the world including jazz, avant garde, modern classical, ambient, techno, house, new wave, disco and everything in-between.

limited edition of 200 copies, insert, extended versions on 33 1/3 rpm POEME ELECTRONIQUE are back with a brand new single featuring the previously unreleased 1981 track 'Don't Run', originally written by Paul Greene-Taylor and Andrew Bowden, a pupil of Dave Hewson's at the time but produced and performed by Dave on Yamaha CS-80, Korg MS-20 and EMU Drumulator, with new vocals by Sharon, Julie and Dave. This version has been extended by Dave for maximum 7EP pleasure clocking in at 6 mins 12 secs. The flip-side brings us a re-worked and extended version of 'Let There Be Neon', a track already known from the 1982 album 'Casualtease' byTHE TECHNO ORCHESTRA (aka TECHNO TWINS, THE TECHNOS), produced by Dave back then, and now clicking in at 5 mins 25 secs.

The obscure Batongo is back with his fifth EP. Three tracks so close and yet so different: a candid peak into sins and temptations, a eulogy to the erotic world of clubbing and finally a debate on a society close to collapse.

Neville Watson makes his DBA debut proper after appearing on Special Editions in 2013 with four rave-ready belters. Coming fresh from releases for ASOK's Scenery label and Craig Richards' The Nothing Special, Watson continues to explore the house sound of the UK, replete with bleeps, acid yells and basslines.

Amongst the track titles some will also note a tongue in cheek tribute to the UK's least popular export, the Great British Douchebag. Gym-goers will be familiar with the Creatine quaffing, equipment-hogging lovers of fake tan who've forgotten to train their legs. Thaddeus Nelson Jr is a bassist, vocalist and producer born and raised and based in New York City. After quitting his job at a bowling alley in Times Square, Thaddeus Nelson Jr composed new-day disco and midnight anthems for his cheekily-christened Dance Record. Each song encapsulates a different part of the party. The afternoon rays emanating from " Disco Junky ," the rowdy energy of "Wild Inn," and the brooding midnight machinations of "Mr Moon" serve as journal entries for a sleepless, summer weekend spent dancing in NYC.

WD45 continues the trajectory with 4 tracks combining equal parts soul, boogie and disco. Rastanils cuts up cheesy obscurity to reveal heavy disco vibes—this edit was smashed by MCDE at numerous festivals in 2015. A mix of 90's deep House influences, strong sense of humour and unusual musical sensibility guarantees a sure shot winner.
The strong groove of 'Bernie' is build on a scatting vocal loop, soon joined by ethereal synths and funky slap bass. Borderline cheesy sax line completes the picture, which is like an ocean in the sunny, windy afternoon - soothing but never sleepy.
Coming up next is 'GHT', inspired equally by 1990's New York and 2016's Vancouver sounds. Ambient soundscapes and chilly melodies are set off to pumping drums and looped basslines.

David Hanke aka Renegades Of Jazz, brainchild behind Dem Juju Poets, keeps on with his distinctive Afro sound and delivers a great 45 in two different styles

New Zealand based crate digger Frank Booker invites good friend Julien Dyne to drop the second release on his new imprint Down In the Basement.
JD picks up where The Man Called Booker left off on Vol 1 and gets straight up to speed cutting up rare boogie, disco and Afro jams and employing his trademark raw cuts in an old school style, while lacing oodles of FX 'n stuff into the mix.
The overall sound is reminiscent of the early Idjut Boys material, which is so close to Mr Booker's heart.

Africa is not a country. We in the West often refer to "African music" but what is that exactly It could be myriad, almost unimaginably different forms of music that bear little relation to each other, as after all Africa is a vast continent that is larger than the United States, Australia and the whole of Europe combined. These four tracks showcase some of those different forms of music from across the continent. There is some cosmic synth drenched proto-house, an afro-beat call to arms, a hypnotic JuJu workout and a rough and ready, relentless lo fi West African banger. All proceeds will go to Human Rights Justice Group, Nigeria.

The debut release of Aspecto Humano, label based in Barcelona, is being presented as a sampler composed of five tracks, which clearly shows the label's preferences and what to be found in the future.The first track is the new version of Das Ding's classic 'H.S.T.A.', a jewel that has not been pressed on vinyl to date. Follows 'Extraterrestrial Biological Entity', a killer track made by master of horror Antoni Maiovvi, and finish the side Hyboid with his well known synthwave 'Telepath or Psycopath'. On the other side the debut of part of Aspecto Humano founders, Anbau, with their kraftwerkian 'Disco Z'. Ends the reference Synth Alien, one of the most reputated spanish artists at the moment, focused to burn the dancefloor with his 'Bailarina 'Autom·tica'.

Akamady imprint owner Komodo has been one of the leading figures developing the music scene in Jakarta, creating bridges with 'The Land of The Rising Sun's' music heritage. Magic Hour is the evocative name of his latest work for Cocktail d'Amore music. It takes us to a beach party from sunset to sunrise, barefoot in the sand. The title track is an ode to balearic and piano house ruling around long pads and dusty baselines. The Backwoods proudly contributes to the package with a more straightforward restyling. The melodic elements shrink melting in the rhythmical structure. The feel is deep and comforting resulting in a psychedelic illusion. On the flip Lizard Dance is a breakbeat referencing the UK leftfield scene of the 90's. Mystical synth-lines develop through the track projecting the whole composition toward the sky. Sand Dunes is a track for late night dance floors. Here Komodo plays with a gloomy atmosphere and psychedelic
acid-tinged synth lines, the listener is suddenly projected into a crime scene.

Label Head, P-SOL teams up with Bugging' Out to bring you the label's debut vinyl release.

Lead track "Omar", reworks a fairly obscure early 80's R&B track into a dancefloor burner. Features plenty of loops, filters and added percussion.

Pay Attention captures a great piano driven soul loop, just the right amount of additional drum elements and topped off with some wise vocal samples from 2 of New York City's most distinguished voices in music.

P-SOL kicks the b side off by reworking, arranging & dubbing the Barbara Roy And Ecstasy disco classic, "If You Want Me" while still keeping the integrity of the original track.

'Passion" finishes off the EP as P-SOL has a take on a classy ride into the sunset!

Since 2014 it is a party which takes place in La dame Noir dancing / Marseilles every two months. For Each party 4 original edits on CDs with covers by Monty Limbu are made by the three djs to be distributed to the audience. Absolutely classic double header of brand new mixes from the mighty Mike Maurro! A Detroit classic goes head to head with another solid gold Philly classic on this 12" of exclusive mixes lifted from his "Peak Hour remixes" project, all produced from the original master tapes. The Spinners evergreen Soul classic "I'll Be Around" takes up the A-side with Mike's trademark respectful flourishes evident - a restrained, classy version of this all-time anthem is what we're treated to by someone who truly understands the originals and feels the music. A must have for all serious Soul lovers out there. On the B-side we have The Trammps stellar "The Night The Lights Went Out", a long time favourite that has been extensively sampled by numerous House artists and The Trammps paean to the infamous city wide blackout during the summer of '77 in NYC that ended up subsequently reshaping popular culture as we know it. Maurro's mix, as always, has respectfully rearranged the track in such a way that he's managed to put a new spin on a legendary disco classic focussing on the incredible arrangements of Norman Harris' original.
