Following on from the success of the first volume of Global Underground :Select we are proud to present the next installment in this exciting new series, with a two disc selection of some of the finest club tracks from around the world.

The A&R team at GUHQ have poured over hundreds of demos and promos to compile and mix for this latest in the series, then they've spliced, edited, re-edited and polished these 34 tracks into two slick continuous DJ mixes.

The album features 6 exclusive tracks along side killer tracks from dance music heavyweights like Tale Of Us, Joris Voorn, Kolsch, Moderat, Booka Shade, The Orb, Tube & Berger and many more.

After a storming 2016 celebrating Twenty Years of Atjazz, where the master musician himself has spent the year jetting all over the globe performing shows to both loyal fans and new converts alike, Atjazz Record Company is very excited to crown this hugely successful year with a release like no other. Please allow us to present: That Something Else!.

We start with a real treat: the re-release of Atjazz's debut album, That Something, for the very first time on digital formats and never before re-issued. Originally released on the DiY Diversions and Sony (Kioon) labels in 1998, the album has been remastered and re-edited for the 21st century by Atjazz himself. Whilst each track has been delicately tweaked, special treatment has been given to the seminal effort, "Wind & Sea", taking an already well loved track to the next level.

Also included is a selection of previously un-released tunes from the basement archives here at ARCo. Labs. These gems were originally recorded onto digital audio tapes between 1995-97 but never unveiled. They have now had new life breathed into them and have found a welcome home in this celebratory work of Atjazz.

Finally we have included a collection of recovered and reclaimed works that were created in the early days of Atjazz's phenomenally productive career. With remixes from today's finest artists, including Nacho Marco, Charles Webster, Trueself, Si Tew and the master Atjazz himself, the only disappointment is that we couldn't include more from the extensive canon of this titan of house music.

Atjazz himself has expressed his own astonishment and gratitude at the level of love and support that he has received over the last 20 years. He has spent his life in the house music industry, quite rightly becoming the byword for high-production values, musical integrity and total commitment to creating music that not only moves the body but warms the soul. Here's to the next 20 years!

"Jungle Hideout" is the third album from California native Daniel Judd, aka Sorcerer. Dan has wide ranging Influences, from 80s electro-pop, disco, psychedelia, kraut-rock (Kraftwerk, Can etc.) through to 70s style "smooth music" like Steely Dan, ELO and Fleetwood Mac. Dan started his life as a founding member of San Francisco pop group "Call And Response", whose releases on Emperor Norton have garnered comparisons to Stereolab amongst others.Our debut 12" vinyl on the Real Balearic label was Sorcerers "Video Magic", its sunny vibes and top draw remixes really did the business back in the summer of 2016. Featured on the album "Video Magic" is one the albums "endless summer" grooves. The lazy guitar of "Pop Harder", The shimmering chords of "Secret Agent" and the smooth picked lines of "Master Cruncher" the others to complete the Balearic sun quotient on this album.Tracks such as the Xylophone festooned "Afro Heaven", the leftfield crunchy beat "Kookerz" and the staccato punch-drunk groove of "Revenge of The Ninja" all show the quirky, inventive directions that Dan has been able to experiment with on his third album.Cuts such "Intimacy File" (with a middle 8 to die for), "Summer Sleaze" & "Watercolour Jungle" notch up the tempo and merges west coast LA 80's style production sheen with 2017 laid back disco.11 tracks brimming with invention, mindful-funk, conviction and a high level of production sheen that we come to expect from Sorcerer.

Groove Line Records series of officially licensed disco / funk 12' reissues continues with two incredible cuts from the Nu-Yorican Soul/R&B/Jazz singer-songwriter Angela Bofill - 'People Make The World Go 'Round' and 'Under The Moon And Over The Sky.'

'People Make The World Go 'Round' sees Bofill and her producers at GRP Records (label heads Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen) take Al Bell and Linda Creed's classic 1972 smash for The Stylistics firmly on to the dance floor. Taken from Bofill's second LP for GRP, 1979's Angel Of The Night, Bofill, and pianist/arranger Ray Chew take 'People...' into an up-tempo jazz/funk realm, central to which is the propulsive off-beat and dynamic, driving funk bass line. Chew decorates the groove with deft horn, string and keyboard parts that match Bofill's urgent, forceful interpretation of the lyric, while bright Latin percussion is added to the chorus's and even more so during the instrumental passage from 1m40s. From there Bofill and her backing singers chime the title refrain over the magnificently named Tinker Barfield's incessant bass line to the track's close at just under four and a half minutes.

'Under The Moon And Over The Sky,' the opening track from Bofill's 1978 debut for GRP, Angie, is an expansive deep jazz composition penned by the singer herself which brings to mind the music of Jon Lucien. Revealing Bofill's jazz roots this 5m43s track is strongly influenced by her Cuban father's musical background. Complex percussion and the song's challenging structure exemplifies Bofill's song-writing talent. Initially dextrous keyboards and flute drift over the Latin percussion before Bofill delivers her sophisticated, poetic lyric which subtly rises over the arrangement. In the mid-section Bofill shows off another talent, scatting along with the flute and percussion in majestic, shimmering style before bringing the track to a close by revisiting the tile refrain, and leaving the listener breathless.

All Groove Line Records releases are fully licensed and taken from the original master tapes, remastered by Nick Robbins at Sound Mastering, and cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy (Mastering Engineer of the Year 2013). All vinyl is heavy weight 180g manufactured Optimal Media in Germany, one of the world's finest pressing plants. Groove Line Records cut no corners when making sure that each and every one of our releases has the highest quality performance possible.

One more time Carlos Martin aka Mynationshit has just produced an emotive and gloomy work. This new album which is the fifth is called 'Malevolent Charmer' and once again this carries on telling us about the ethical conflict between good and evil, nature and built environments and even admiration and comedown. Dark and catchy melodies, epic beats and nostalgic atmospheres for the first Waste´s edition where he is a part of this label with his brother Alejandro Martin and Avencio Delgado. On this occasion ,this work comes out with an outstanding design by Alonso Urbanos who loves like Carlos Martin ,martial arts and Asian culture and obscure folklore. As well,this album comes out with a professional audio studio work by Elias Saura and Pablo Moreno(Irradian).

Back once again with the renegade masters, To Rack & Ruin romp on, bringing ill behaviour and dance floor damage wherever they go.This twelfth instalment of the heady edit series sees Mancunian maverick Neil Diablo invite The Rejected and Que Sakamoto to tackle a side each on this floor flaying four tracker.
Italian newcomer The Rejected may be a man of mystery right now, but as soon as you've copped an earful of his body shaking A-side, you'll be stalking him like an ex on Facebook! He kicks off the set with the tumbling toms of 'Gambling In The 70s', a feel good groove which leads the conga line on a precise path between parmesan and taleggio.
Making expert use of percussive breakdowns and reverb heavy rests, The Rejected revels in the cruise ship orchestration and camp euro vocals without ever letting the pecorino overpower the pasta - buono! Leaving the glam and glitter of the A1 behind, the Italian edit maestro takes us deep on A2 offering 'Lucky Lucio', working a low slung bassline, wah guitar and hushed psyche vocals into a slow burning funk bomb perfect for the warm up or post peak. Additional synth work and a dynamic arrangement light make this wonky wonder stand taller than the Tower of Piza, taking the dance floor on a tile-eyed trip from start to finish.
The B-side belongs to Japanese disco kingpin Que Sakamoto, who takes a break from rocking the decks with Psychemagik, Crazy P and the ALFOS crew at his legendary Huits Etoiles club night in Tokyo, to bring the party to your turntable. 'Mr Moonlight' makes an instant impression, slicing some familiar piano chords over a squelching funk guitar and propulsive bassline to get those fists pumping from the off.
As the track progresses, the producer introduces star gazing synth licks, psychedelic solos and a chugging groove blasting us into a distant dance floor dimension. We've barely caught our breath from that unbridled ecstasy before Que freaks us out again, dropping us headfirst into the full blooded funk of 'Salut Des Frangines'. Powerhouse percussion and heavy duty wah guitar take the lead here, blazing bright over tasty organ licks and rumbling bass, before dropping out completely for an fx heavy breakdown in the second half. So dope you could smoke it!

Brazilian Shakedown is back!
The second release in this series brings you a collection of outstanding mixes by Rio de Janeiro's own Carrot Green.
On the A Side you'll find 'Ponto Gira', which already is an underground anthem in Brazil. The traditional chanting, combined with CG's super groovy production will certainly also smash the European dance floors this summer. Good vibes galore!
Straight after there's 'Movimento'. In this tune Carrot Green transforms roots music from the North-East of Brazil into an intense dance track, which mesmerizes with its passionate vocals and violin played in peculiar unison.
The B Side takes off with a heavy nu-disco remix of 'Mariama'. The acidic bassline, calling vocals and wide synth-chords will make you feel like flying over the Brazilian seashore. The final destination of this journey leads you to the bass heavy 'Capoeira', where the classic Berimbau and hypnotic call-and-response vocals get dirty over a stomping groove.
Badaross, who lives in the Streets of Sao Paulo created the cover-artwork for this release.

Don´t confuse radio silence with inactivity. The music might not have been flowing, but the plans were at Schrodinger´s Box HQ. And finally, after a shedload of work; we´re back to the music. Anton Maiovvi is well known in the right circles. This Bristol born soundtrack virtuoso, italo disco savant and all round electronic guru has travelled labels far and wide with his smorgasbord sound. And that variety is plain to hear on Will to Powder. From the epic opener of 'Clocks', Maiovvi leads you through his labyrinthine hall of shapes and sounds. Expect warming melodies, cold beats, shimmering synthwork, brazen experimentation, a decent dollop of slasher scores and a pinch new wave romance in this. Undoubtedly his most diverse album to date

The Mystic Jungle Tribe are back, this time inspired by the lush island of Capri

Salamanca returns with their fifth release, proud to present two pioneers from the infamous Dutch Westland italo scene: Peet Need and Savino. The duo came up with an excellent remix of Marcia di Kioto, next to their original song called Hypnotized. On the flipside you'll find haunting synths by SEER on Voltaic break-beats delivered by Afrobot. Last but not least we have included an new wave edit from the mysterious Simulanten.

Nach etwa fünf Jahren Veröffentlichungspause bringt Brent Cash via Marina sein drittes Album heraus. Man
ist geneigt, das mit einem "endlich" zu quittieren - so überwältigend schön gerieten die beiden Vorgänger von
"The New High". Schon das opulente Debüt "How Will I Know If I'm Awake" (2008) des Multiinstrumentalisten,
Sängers und Songschreibers aus Athens, Georgia, tönte mit Anklängen an Brian Wilson, Burt Bacharach,
den Carpenters und die Mamas und Papas wie ein verlorenes Meisterwerk aus vergangenen Epochen. Und
auch auf dem aufwändig inszenierten Album "How Strange It Seems" (2011) war praktisch jeder Song in
einen goldenen Sonnenschein getaucht, der so nur in Kalifornien existiert. Mit feinsinnigen
Orchesterarrangements, tollen Rhythmen, vielschichtigen Technicolor-Harmonien und heilloser Romantik
verwöhnt uns Cash auch auf dem brillanten "The New High", das von der ersten bis zur letzten Note zum
Träumen einlädt. Das ist kitschig und ziemlich "Retro", macht aber verdammt glücklich. Übrigens: Ganz im Stil
eines Todd Rundgren hat Cash hier - mit Ausnahme der Streicher - sämtliche Instrumente selbst eingespielt.

Gina Navarro Calabrese was a Detective of the Miami Metro-Dade Police Department and an undercover Detective in the Organized Crime Bureau, Vice Division, in the 1980s. Her professional career is well-documented and includes everything from sting operations against South American Drug-Lords to working the streets of Miami in disguise as a prostitute - usually on behalf of Detectives Crockett and Tubbs, the former with whom she had an on-off love affair throughout this time. Gina was born on the island of Cuba during its revolution in the 1950s, the daughter of a nightclub singer and an executed revolutionary. Fleeing a vendetta against her family she and her sisters emigrated to Miami and after graduating she joined the Miami Police Force as a uniformed cop. By the mid-1980s Gina was by now working undercover and known amongst fellow law-enforcement officers for driving a 1971 Mercury Cougar convertible and giving her all to her job, shot in the line of duty and also enduring the sexual predations of IRA terrorists and hardened mobsters all in the name of getting what all good cops care about most... a cleaner city for all those hard-working honest tax-payers. What is lesser known about Gina is that in her spare time she was a synthesizer enthusiast and ardent admirer of the 1980s Czech electronics wizard Jan Hammer, and indeed recorded many of her experiences working undercover as pieces of music in that style. Cyber Dance Records is proud to present the recently unearthed original recordings of these previously-thought lost chronicles of what it truly meant to be a cop on the mean streets of Miami, giving everything in the line of duty

Droplets of synthesisers trickle down intermittently between tides of evenly paced kicks while a hollow bass-line plucks at the lower depths of House music. A seductive and sedentary vocal, appraising the true meaning of music joins the fray while pads and Rhodes pianos swirl and eddy around the listener. Bulgarian production force Sound Solutions, embark on a quest for the meaning behind the music with Alexander Scott taking on the vocal duty on "It's all About", marking Bogota records' first impression on the physical realm, which include remixes from Of Norway, De Fantastiske To, Usmev, and arriving two months later via the digital release, Arildo.

Always bridging the gap between countries, continents and music, Bogota Records have enlisted the help of three remixers from Oslo and Barcelona to bring new dimensions to this music from Sofia. Of Norway cloud their interpretation in a bit of mystery with an ethnocentricity cloaked in pan flutes and sitars, while fellow Norwegians, De Fantastiske To take a more dancefloor focussed route, bringing a darker, menacing edge to their "Submarinering" version of the original track. Barcelonan producer Usmev closes off the release, applying a lot more emphasis on the kick and swirling pads, taking the original track into the middle of the night and placing it square on the dance floor.

"Get on down" is a heavyweight slice of storming Jamaican Disco-Reggae heat from the legendary studios of Miami's TK Disco empire. King Sporty's version may not have been as well known as Connie Case's electro laden later 1982 version (also produced by Sporty) but the perfect marriage of Disco stylings and Sporty's Jamaican roots meant the original 1979 version was a cult classic in underground deep Disco circles.
Over 35 years since "Get on down" was released the keepers of the TK Disco vaults have given permission for some of their classics and lesser known gems to be respectfully tweaked by contemporary producers and DJ's who fully understand the lineage of the label and the music contained within.
Stepping up and get his hands dirty is none other than London dwelling, WOLF music man - Medlar. A regular face behind the turntables all over the world Medlar has lovingly freaked King Sporty's anthem for the modern dance-floor, extending the right parts in just the oh so right way, dubbing out parts that needed just a smidgen of echo here and there and generally making the track irresistible to DJ's with it's lovely long beat led intro. These are extremely tasteful edits, done with respect and reverence over 2 parts - old school style. Look out for those low flying dubbed out vox and lazer beams too, powerful stuff! This is only one of many underground Disco classics that the mighty Miami based TK Disco label brought to the world, reimagined for 2016's dance-floor, officially sanctioned in conjunction with Henry Stone Music / TK Disco. File under - Classic / Essential!

A clever take on a peak moment for the dance floor, fusing pieces of Chicago's classic "Street Player" (it was such a small space in time, I never knew what I would find, a musical path for all to see, anxiety into ecstasy) with the classic beats of The Bomb! which famously sampled the original for Henry Street in 1995.

The Bomb goes boom says Prince in this ecstatic take on "America" found only in parts from the 21 minute 1985 12". Guaranteed to pump your dance floor into madness.

Another killer release from the essential re -edits/rarities label Moton.Number 39 brings us three more obscurities lovingly edited by label head honcho Diesel with the funky as hell Feels So Good leading the EP. Kicking off the B side you will find a great Latin version of Ian Dury's Wake Up, then rounding off the EP is Discomora classically cut and spliced to perfection for your dancefloor pleasure.
