tim jones, also known as Preacherman and recorded under midi man, ironing Board Band and t.j. hustler. he made one very rare lp, and two even rarer cD's. these tracks are from the cD's. he was a salesman for iBm in Las Vegas, where he sold selectric t ypewriters and then word processors during the day and at night he would perform in the Las Vegas lounges. he was somewhat of an engineer and adapted a hammond B3 organ to play a moog synth with some of the organ keys, (some still played the organ),
and he adapted the organ's foot controlled bass levers to play two moog synth bass pedals (a failed item moog made for a few years.) thinking he wasn't much of a live performer he had a wooden puppet made that he named t.j hustler, and together with the puppet, he would engage in long philosophical soliloquies, (some of which are featured on this album).if you meet tim, he is not someone who stops talking. in fact he even created a little book called universal Philosophy. he has a lot to say about everything. currently he lives with his 103 year old mother in
Oakland. there he infrequently plays shows on his casio where he fashions himself a live Karaoke performer, who comes complete with 5 wireless mics and P.a. and a list of about a 100 songs he can play. his invented organ contraption and puppet are in storage in Las Vegas, and he seems intensely
uninterested in getting them out, as 'the kids these days want to hear the sounds the casio makes.'

On the B side, San Francisco based Dutch artist, Yobkiss, offers up a masterful remix taking the track into darker electro territory. His offering includes beautifully haunting Japanese vocals by the producer's long time collaborator Yuko Araki for exceptional exotiqueness.

Apparel Wax is about to hit your summer hard with the 5th gem of the collection! Four tracks delivering our approach to this sound but always from different perspectives, which helps us to maintain that fresh energy we need to be able to keep on doing what we do. 005A1 with its funk attitude, powerful chords and stunning vocals creates a proper banger; that one tune we just can't stop shaking our hips and to. 005A2 is such a perfect blend of different feelings: are the strings a bit 80's Is it just a new version of that kind of disco music Instead it's just a mixture of sensations perfectly coexisting, brought together by the Apparel Wax matrix that just makes it a mature interpretation of a big musical influence. 005B1 features a piano loop that is a great tribute to classic house music and keeps on dialoguing with catchy vocals. The track elevates the spirit of the happy tune to a next level, leaving not only a taste of summer but a sense of coolness. 005B2 played after the first three hitting tracks, with its saxophone and synthesizers is a percussive, atmospheric and fulfilling way to end the record's narrative in perfect fashion; a record that displays an uncanny array of house/disco music performances. It is almost one year since the 1st one. We couldn't think about how good the response would have been from the listeners. So we'd like to thank you all for the support: it will push us to try and keep the level as higher as we can!

Calafici Records tries to give you the best, and we are sure that new EP will not disappointed you. We are very proud to put out 2 stunning edits made by Delmar Mediterraneo our favorite Sicilian artist.
Just a quick description of the tracks, 'Ritmo que Mata' is... as you can imagine, a Disco-Psychedelic Latin track clearly dedicated to the label. 'Flore De Canela ' comes from a vocal of Peruvian folklore.

The italian act Geometric Vision has earned a solid reputation as one of the best post-punk bands out there. This EP, with specially remastered versions, is an extract / advance of their very awaited new LP 'FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!' to be released next april 23 at SWISS DARK NIGHTS on digital / cd and on vinyl standard LP version on MANIC DEPRESSION RECORDS. Somehow near of the best The Cure but with clear reminds to The Stone Roses for the exquisite use of the reverbs and delays on all tracks, but all that, surely, with a more agressive and darky approach. Volkan Caner of She Past Away helps GV to close this EP with the amazing 'Jelly Dream'. It arrives on 12 EP format and produced in a ONE-OFF truly limited edition of 300 copies lacquered pressed on 180 gr. high quality solid black vinyl. All tracks have been specially remastered for LONG CUT vinyl by Eric Van Wonterghem

Its Riot Gear number 2 and it's a party monster from the ever reliable Pete Herbert The EP is packed with Italo madness, house pianos, arpeggios and beats galore. Bottin & Yam Who provide the remixes. Venice based Bottin adds a classic Metro Area-esque feel, with new wave boogie touches, proto house beats and killer analogue synthesizers. Yam Who tears apart 'Expresso' with rough disco beats, a stripped down pulsating bass and brings in dreamy Rinder & Lewis keys over an authentic '70s disco production, fully optimised for all the late night dance floors.

Early 80's balearic Italian Disco solid release from the classic Bolognian Band Aid, not to be confused for Bob & Midge & co. This limited edition project features the legendary dj Tony Carrasco for the vocal and dub versions and the precious addiction of the unreleased mediterranean version mixed and overdubbed by Pellegrino from the Early Sounds Recordings by adding aggressive percussions remembering something of Konk style.

COSMIC TEMPLE is the new project of Daniele Baldelli that will include 6 12's released over the course of a few months. The 6 records will graphically compose the COSMIC logo.
Daniele Baldelli the producer now has nothing to envy about Daniele Baldelli, the DJ. This is demonstrated by the authoritativeness of the first two 12's of six in the series "Cosmic Temple' on the Mondo Groove label. What first strikes the eye are the covers, with fluorescent colors, which will form a patchwork created by Aldo Drudi (the designer of Valentino Rossi), a large mosaic that interprets garish aesthetics/logoa Cosmic. But immediately after the music takes the stage, 3 tracks in "Chapter 1" and 3 tracks in "Chapter 2", are able to tell the true mood of the imaginary Baldelli's sound and take them to a land of wonders. Numbers like Thyratron, with Ricky Burattini (Justofunk) on the floor, playing a utopian fusion as if Peter Daou was weaned at Cosmic in Lazise (Italy) instead of the Paradise Garage in New York, or Inner Light, Francesca Amati with the voice, which is pure 2015 electro-pop, the rhythmic bass on Diffrazione and the phrasing of Zircaloy, and still that yin and yang that composed Krebs Cycle, with Burattini on synth, a race horse deep disco at 120 bpm that goes into stratospheres, and Afelio, a lethargic space ballet at 90 bpm...

We're happy to welcome back Harry Wolfman for a full record after his fine collaborative 'Square Lane' EP with Loz Goddard last year. Here he delves into the leftfield side of house, this dreamy 5-tracker. Toronto's Jesse Futerman joins us for the remix fresh from his debut releases on Church and Omena. 'Fermi' brings the tropically tinged deep house heat, wavering pads and buoyant bass paint us a mirage of sweltering summer days ahead. 'Ice Thin' starts as a melancholic mover, it steadily builds through dusty samples, shaken percussion and smokey moods elevating the energy into something euphoric. Things get gritty as we flip to the b-side. 'Downstream' is a dark and grainy outing, edgy arps work in and out of tough drums and frenzied synths. Jesse's superb rework of 'Ice Thin' features distant horns and vocals that ring out over a warbling rhodes and rumbling bass, then comes the lick of a slide guitar reminiscent of some kind of twisted western. Wrapping up this beautiful and somewhat nostalgic journey we turn to 'Outro Version' a funk laden work out. Rich strings and woodwinds fill out the lush landscape that swells and soars across the steady, bottom heavy, dance inducing groove.

The Summer just got hotter as Alliance Upholstery offers some serious Italo heat with an official 180 gram vinyl re-issue of the Swiss holy grail, Veronique - Jungle Man.
Originally released in 1987 on Fresh Music, this driving, tropically cosmic cover of the Kongo Band classic, 'African Man' rocks almost any dancefloor.
No wonder it fetches close to a bill on Discogs. The A Side includes remastered versions of the original and instrumental, 'Guitar Man', courtesy of Deitrich Schoenemann.
If that wasn't enough, re-edit master JAZ (Sixty Five, Universal Cave) takes prime cuts from each version to produce his own megamix on the B-side.

Dr Love is a veteran and key tastemaker / vinyl junkie on the Montreal scene and Laura Ingalls is a wandering French person of no specific sex who has recently landed in the French Canadian city and they both bonded over their love of anything Disco and Poutine, the main local dish which consists of potato, cheese, gravy and maybe sometimes added meat!
Dr Love likes to dig but doesn't really produce while Laura Ingalls is not the most efficient digger and only seems to unearth old Folk and obscure Arabic music for their personal collection but has serious production skills. A1 - Laura Ingalls & Dr Love - Oh Mon Amour 6m 02s Very hard to find anything online about Idris Cheba who's real name is Serge Michael Bijaoui but this was a classic at the famous parisian disco Le Palace in the early 80's when it was released. A2 - Laura Ingalls & Dr Love - Weekend Mouillé 5m 42s
This is an odd one, a jazz disco thing from the mid 70's, the producer Art Polhemus is actually more a rock producer and this track sticks out like a sore thumb in his discography.
AA1 - Laura Ingalls & Dr Love - Ecoute Mon Coeur 5m 38s
Peter Godwin who wrote this was in the band Metro and then went on to write and produce a lot of 80's new wave in France and across Europe, the original is definitely a guilty pleasure, both Dr Love and Laura Ingalls are closet Italo fans and even though this is from Belgium it bares all the cheesy Italo stigmata: big synths, big drums, english vocals with a bad accent!
AA2 - Laura Ingalls & Dr Love - Soul Ma Coco 5m 48s
This is a cover of Manu Dibango's Soul Makossa obviously, this version kept the melody and changed the lyrics slightly, Bayete is a South African band but the album was only released in Canada and Belgium.

Nadanna is extremely proud and excited to present TOBIAS BERNSTRUP's new album 'Technophobic'.
Bernstrup who works both as a visual artist and musician has been touring worldwide since the late 1990s and positioned himself as one of the leading re-inventors of Italo Disco with his unique mix of Italo, Synthpop and Gothic noir. He has created his own unmistakable stage persona wearing androgynous outfits in shiny latex and heavy make-up. Tobias has collaborated with seminal artists such as Trans-X, Apoptygma Berzerk, Martial Canterel, Xeno & Oaklander, Lebanon Hanover, and She Past Away.
'Technophobic' contains 10 smashing tracks including the recent single 'Utopia', and 'Metropolis of Tomorrow' featuring French dark synth wave artist HANTE. Combining influences from classic synthpop, minimal wave, dark wave in a retro futuristic manner TOBIAS BERNSTRUP has created an album reminiscent of the 80s but in a contemporary context of sound landscape.

Cody Currie, the young house protégé hailing from London town, turns in the eighth release on Secret Reels with his 'Peach Fuzz EP'
Four tracks of funk-laden house with dusty old samples, guaranteed dancefloor material.
Lead track 'Prologue' is all about driving beats and powerful chords while 'Peach Fuzz' is a little warmer and melodic, brass hits and bassline licks aplenty.
'Urlaub Kommt' is a flute line lead groove monster with it's roots firmly in the disco tinged side of house.
'Woman' is the funkiest slice of the Peach Fuzz pie, gliding along the needle with slick Rhodes chords and spacey arps.

The first release on Tava Discs arrives courtesy of label-founder Beigean, confidently establishing their remit of discovering and showcasing charismatic house and techno from a gritty, DIY perspective. Influenced by a diverse joyful musical upbringing of East Coast hip-hop, turn of the millennium tribal techno, UK bass, Punjabi folk and Bollywood disco, each of the four tracks on Beigean's EP flawlessly but daringly weave each of these specific musical avenues into hyper-specific and utterly physical tapestries of sound, road-tested and engineered to turn open-minded dancefloors outside of their heads.
The record's unrelenting focus on groove is immediately established by a vintage disco bassline on Baat, one that's suddenly submerged in reverb and reintroduced with a stuttering, echo-laden female vocal chop, one of many elements cribbed from the vast, all-vinyl Bollywood soundtrack archive of Beigean's father. Here, these audience-pleasing chorus lines are respectfully blended with a very different purpose, building to a memorable disco climax and stitched together with an authentic reel-to-reel appeal. On Kyaa, a punchy, admirably bouncy bassline rides another obscure musical number, one that's soon buried under a cresting wave of acidic feedback, creating a weightless moment of sensory rave pleasure from the most unexpected of sources.
Beginning the reverse trip, 'Geet' takes things in a tougher, trippier and more percussive direction, constantly pushing and pulling tension built around corresponding male and female vocal samples. Here, a tough UK attitude immediately makes its presence known in the hard-hitting drum work, playfully offset by grandiose and grainy interjections from the vintage peak of Indian cinema. The EP concludes with 'Mein', arguably the more uncompromising and dense moment of the record, creating a constantly unfolding and kinetic distillation of Beigean's notable influences, and delivering each transformed through layers of reverb and distortion, then uplifted by a cosmic, Buchla-like synth interjection.
Rooted in a cross-generational and cross-cultural heritage specific to UK dance and rave culture, Beigean's debut EP announces a new talent with an irresistible perspective.

Luv Shack Records' newest EP marks the 26th release on the label, and its a classic split affair by stalwart Artists Space Echo and Jakobin & Domino.
Space Echo's 'My Heart, My Soul' evokes the best feelings we have for sample heavy filter house, but manages the transition to modern club standards effortlessly, and elegantly.
"Party Together" is Space Echo in full on laid back funk territory at the start, but quickly turns into a deep and highly addictive stomper that just gets more intense as it goes along.
Jakobin & Domino bring us 'You Want My Love', a disco infused house jam that overflows with sultry vocals, moody fender rhodes hooksa and a super catchy drum sample.
'Filter Queen' is a full on party track that is basically eponymous, but Jakobin & Domino amp up the classic theme (house beat & filtered sample) with a modulated synth sequence, a few well timed fx and a funky beat to boot
