We are thrilled to present you the first full length album by Xavier Fabre and Bibiana Graeff aka Xique-Xique!

Following the flow of their first 'Xaxoeira' EP (which means "Waterfalls" in Portuguese, but spelled in a poetic way) the Album sets an artistic landmark at 'Na Lagoa' (At the Lake).

The 10 album tracks were composed during the last three years between Istanbul, Bangkok and Heliodora (Brazil). Especially from this tropical haven you will find plenty of field recordings throughout the album, like the bird called 'Siriema' featured in the track of the same name.
Besides the Xique-Xique trademark sound featuring crispy beats, organic percussion, bell-like synth sounds and a lot of love for the detail you will find Bibiana herself as well as Bruna Takasse (the voice of 'Xaxoeira') on Vocal duties.

'Na Lagoa' is structured as Dawn, Midday, Nightfall and Midnight, and invites you to spend the day at an imaginary lake. In the water, you feel the warm synth textures enclosing you just before cascades of arpeggios start to drop into your ear. Once on the other bank, you wander around and observe the fantastic flora and fauna: dubby effects fly by like surreal bugs, mesmerising synth themes roaming the scenery like bewitched wild animals that welcome you in a dreamlike future-jungle-fantasy.

If someone would have told us in 1999, when we put together TOTAL 1 that this would turn into one of the longest standing compilation series in techno world we would have laughed out loud. But here we are – in the year 2020 which will probably go down in history as the most difficult period ever for club culture. But we won’t stop doing what we’re doing. Music is our oxygen. We’ll dance together soon again.

The TOTAL series has always been like KOMPAKT’s yearbook and to say it with the late Frank Sinatra: It was a very good year. Our family of artists delivered a strong heterogeneous mix of uplifting sounds, from the lush reveries of ROBAG WRUHME and SOELA to the stark primetime bangers of MARC ROMBOY or ANNA & KITTIN and everything in between. Notable new entries to our crew are the Londoner KIWI with his wonderfully careless “Hello Echo” that picks up the camp disco vibes Justus Köhncke made a staple in our repertoire. Amsterdam’s DAVID DOUGLAS delivers an appetizer for a full course meal. His quirky pop approach sits comfortably between fellow dutchmen WEVAL’s abstract beats and AGENTS OF TIME’s opulent Italo Disco. YOTAM AVNI blends Detroit techno with new age jazz that reminisces the sound of ECM artists like Jan Garbarek or John Surman. The man with the hat, KÖLSCH also picks up jazzier notes in his very own big room style. Youngblood JONATHAN KASPAR appears twice, fortifying his status as one of the hottest beat smiths of our hometown Cologne. TOTAL wouldn’t be TOTAL without our permanent staff present in full force. As per tradition, KOMPAKT’s founding fathers, VOIGT & VOIGT, JÜRGEN PAAPE, JÖRG BURGER, MICHAEL MAYER as well as our Berlin outpost SASCHA FUNKE all deliver exclusive gems that also feature on Total 20’s double vinyl edition.

Raum Musik 104 is a various artists compilation that features exclusive tracks from all the labels key artists. Federico Molinari, John Dimas, Franco Cinelli, Lee Burton and Phil Evans have released on our label before, but we also have three new artists on board this time. Jorge Savoretti has released the last single on our label before the compilation plus the two newcomers Enrico Mantini from Italy and Andy Kolwes from Cologne.

Altogether it forms a nice package to celebrate 20 years of Raum Musik that shows as well the different sides of our label and we hope that you enjoy the tracks as much as we do.

Constant Sound strides into 2021 with a fresh four-tracker from Casey Spillman, a rising star of tech-house whose impressive releases on Infuse and LOCUS still get plenty of plays. As you'd expect, there's much to set the pulse racing across the EP, from the clandestine thrills of opener 'Up & Away'- all warped analogue bass motifs, brain-melting vocal snippets, sturdy kick-drums and jazzy percussive fills - to the skipping, bass-heavy shuffle of deep house/tech-house fusion number 'Let's Go'. Sandwiched in between you'll find the paranoid, slightly foreboding 'Big Steppers', which reminded us a little of Orbital's more minimalistic cuts, and the deep space tech-house shimmer of 'Right Order'.

For its third vinyl release, Eagervision introduces to its public a young producer and DJ from the land of modern minimal par excellence - the talented Daniel Istrati aka Constratti.

As consistent as his output has been, his new release on Eagervision shows a perfected sound brought to the next level both in the quality of the final pieces as well as in their creative forging.

The London based label releases this record in a moment where Constratti’s career feels like it’s about to skyrocket, combining the three next level original mixes with a remix by Silat Beksi, an underground hero that has been pushing this sound forward in recent years.

The result is a unique four-track dancefloor record that will surely stand the test of time.

Another Motive launches its record label with an EP from Finnish producer Roope Karhunen aka Mirage Man. Mirage Man has crafted a unique sound exploring a hypnotic and seductive aesthetic within House and Techno. The A-side opens up with 'Hiss & Hers' , a soothing-narcotic take on Techno with overtones of dub and ambience. Followed by a hard-hitting 'Harmoni', layering crisp drum machines and ethereal synths within a magnetic groove that evolves from raw to rich. The B-side embarks with 'Healing', composed of shuffling rhythms and subtle streams of warm synth pads that grow into an esoteric climax fitting several styles within one. Closing the EP is 'Harmoni' remix by BNJMN taking the essence of the original and folding it into a kaleidoscope of fractured rhythms and surreal sounds that collide to finish the EP off with a bang.

Parama welcomes Pandilla Ltd for its second release, they deliver two original

A name, a man, an attitude, Amsterdam Dj and producer San Proper is one that needs very little introduction. His intricately minimal, yet highly musical productions have seen the light of day on Dekmantel, Perlon and Rush Hour Records alongside his own label, Proper's Cult. Now, this renowned crazy cat presents a new set of works, 'Home' EP with MUSAR Recordings.

Teaming up with drummer, producer and long-time collaborator, D. (real name Derek Van Beelen) who has also appeared solo on 'Proper's Cult', the two come together on 'Home' to explore the genre of house; expanding it into new, idiosyncratic forms.

Across 'Home' EP, the flamboyance and quirks of San are deeply embroidered. From the frenetically charged, punk-esque 'Home' to the mid-tempo trip of 'Get On Down', each see the musical talents of D. underpinning the cursive vocals and hardware slurs of Proper. Whilst closing track 'Licks & Tech' provides an off-kilter take, pairing woody, linear percussive parts with sweeping and insidious modulations.

Tokyo's very own 'Watechno' originator and MUSAR associate, Hoshina Anniversary comes through with a rework of 'Home'. Flexing over San's vocals with jazzy keys and native Japanese instrumentation, striking experimentations in-keep with the expansive nature of 'Home' EP.

Mariano Mateljan enters his 11th year of releasing left of centre minimal with a new one on thisisnegentropy that shows off his considerable vision. The title track is all playful bass, clipped kicks and slow slung bass funk that really pumps. Then there is the dark, more straight ahead and menacing sound of 'Benefactor' before the dubbed out loops of 'Subterran' with their alien sound sources and razor sharp hi hats. 'DBLR' closes down with a delicate melodic touch perfect for those druggy back room after hours.

Bambe, the new label run by Parisian artist Bambounou, presents its second instalment ‘Final Conference’ featuring 3 collaborations between the label head and Bristol producer Bruce, known for his deconstructed club cuts on Hessle Audio, Timedance and Hemlock Records. This is Bruce and Bambounou’s first time working together, expect detailed hypnotic rhythms with a postmodern edge.

Bambe is a passion project of Bambounou and follows the release of the well received ‘Cascade’ EP. The imprint is a space created for talent from diverse backgrounds coming together to use art and technology to create expansive musical experiences.

"Neon Lies" started as a synth-wave bedroom one-man project in late 2015 by Goran Lautar while he was still singing and playing guitar in Modern Delusion and The Celetoids, prominent bands from Zagreb D.I.Y. punk and post-punk scene. Soon after that initial period, the project already became a full-time one-man-band adventure.

Since then, Neon Lies toured and played shows endlessly, releasing two albums (“Neon Lies” and “II”) and now presenting his third full-length album “Loveless Adventures”. The 9-track album is a result of one-year making and relentless touring and it’s a perfect blend of minimalistic lo-fi darkwave sound of Neon Lies’ early stages when Goran was revisiting his teenage crush for early minimal synth-punk and proto-industrial, and the second album, when he was more into exploring experimentation with repetition, noise, electro and up to date sounds and ideas from European underground dance floors.

This album, recorded and mixed, as always, directly on tape by the man himself, finally brings all of this together in one deeply moving and authentic intimate disclosure of personal loss and gain, euphoria, happiness, and sadness. But no matter how much this journey was loveless, it was profoundly loveful. Dedicated to all the loners and their dealers.

Cobham’s dramatic, explosive power mixed with emotional spontaneity, extraordinary dexterity, and complex style of play brought him global attention and critical acclaim. The first album ‘Spectrum’ is a masterpiece and still considered a reference album today.

‘Drum’N Voice’ is a collaborative project with the Nicolosi family, known collectively as Novecento. After reaching the top of the European and American charts with their Italo Disco hits, they decided to explore new ideas and evolve their music leading to a jazz and ambient territory and collaborating with some incredible artists.
