We are delighted to welcome back Jose Vizcaino with this four tracker EP called “Transitions”. A blend of classy deep house with a modern minimal touch, music for refined clubs and exquisite connoisseurs.

Following four long years of sonic hibernation, the shadowy sneaker fiends behind the Shoebox series have decided to deliver a fourth EP of intoxicating musical fusions rich in dusty deepness, hazy grooves, kaleidoscopic electronics and glassy-eyed musical mysticism. Some tracks feed the dancefloor while others reward horizontal listening; all are suitably wide-eyed and tantalizingly tactile.

The A-side - Departure
Label boss Duky delivers two tracks that fuse the elements of grass roots, blues and jazz with a solid forward marching arrangement that result in two organic, groovy cuts that remind us of a coming of age, right of passage. A happy carelessness that is needed and welcome in these trying times.
‘Head In the Clouds’ is a vision of a young man's hopes and dreams as to how he views the world filled with positivity.
‘Ari’ is a very flirtatious cut, spunky, whimsical and jolly piece that is reminiscent of someone giving their farewell to their family right before embarking on an adventure showcasing a sense of love, life, and home. strong and delicate all at the same time.

The B-side - Arrival
Odette delivers her take on what the current tone and mood can be felt throughout the old country where everything, despite the adversities, continues to move forward at a steady pace, deep and eclectic, as it's showcased in ‘Creme de Violette’.
Culminating in smooth jazz, hip-hop, deepness that can be considered a soothing lullaby. Perfectly arranged as proper send off to a short but enlightening trip into the new sounds of the old country in form of the ‘Tough Enough’.

The vinyl as whole tells the story of two minds meeting and sharing their thoughts, hopes and dreams in an intelligent, cohesive way balancing their mutual commonalities and differences.

Made in the sun-kissed network of steel. Astral high fidelity showers soak an Rnb-esque vocal in acoustic resonance. Skippy percussion wraps around the clock, representative of the early classic UK formula. It breaches the form of what we know as ‘functional’, composing and decomposing its synthetic elastic quality providing a versatile record, with a phantom desire to run off the clock and explore the more experimental and broken beat fruits. Intricate accidents and harmonious synthesized licks, consonant with the lower sub-notes, bending and curling around the dominant sonic’s. To summarize, a medley of multi-dimensional, warm and trippy
house cutz for domestic environment or club.

The sixth Blueten vinyl is also the first various artists release on the label incl. tracks by Larsson (Berlin), Echo Inspectors (Melbourne), Piok (Barcelona) and DIB (Milan).

The first physical offering from the Jambutek Imprint features four slices of contemporary house music committed to wax. Rich sound design, heavily-swung grooves and a healthy dose of minimalist flavour.

The A-side contains two rolling cuts from Argentinian producer AWSI. Leading the charge is "Last Try", its wobbly synth fills and filtered chords bubbling along with a steady tenacity that should get even the sternest heads nodding in agreement. The slightly bouncier "Mate Cocido" features a sparse yet infectious bass line, layered on a bed of haunting pads and complemented by swingy, modern percussion. Two low-key weapons for the discerning house-head.

Flipping over to the B-side, label boss Asvajit serves up "Encrypted"; its washed out pads, quirky chord stabs and acidic fills providing the backdrop for a snappy low end groover. For the B2, Prodot rounds things off nicely with "Rekord"; laying down a delicate balance of synthesized keys and soulful vocal cuts accompanied by tight, percussion lines. A restrained display of lush sound design; particularly suited for small rooms and hazy after-hours.

A little later than scheduled, but we're back in action with the 92nd release on 3am Recordings, this is the fourth instalment of the "3am Wax" series, showcasing artists who have been part of the label family for some time & whose work we love on vinyl-only.

Kicking off the EP is long-time 3am artist Carlo Gambino. The last few years have been very kind to Carlo - not only has he remixed of his personal favourite tracks, namely "After All" for Franck Roger's Real Tone Records, he also had an absolute smash in the Summer of 2020, with "Dance For You" on Cinthie's We_R_House label, which was a sell-out all over. That's alongside his usual flurry of quality deepness for labels across the board. Here we have a typically bumpy affair from him, with his familiar low-end-bothering bass & dubby stabs, this time with a very tongue-in-cheek vocal flowing through the track. More deeply chunky vibes from Mr Gambino!

A2 comes from Lee Guthrie, head-man at the superb Click Therapy & purveyor of outstanding bassy cuts, which fall somewhere between the modern flowing tech/deep house of Eastern Europe and the rolling percussive vibes of Siesta/Halo & Hipp-e from the early 00s. One thing is guaranteed, you're in for a proper workout when Lee is at the controls & this is no different. Percussive tightness & a heavy bass lead into some old-school rave-style stabs, which just add to the modern/retro combination & it works so well. We're absolutely buzzing to have Lee back on 3am.

B1 is a welcome return for mastering-guru & all-round awesome guy Rob Small. We're very honoured to have Rob back on 3am - he has been so busy as the "go-to" mastering guy, it's tricky to squeeze in productions, but this remastered version of his "Fear & Loathing" track, which was originally a digital release, showcases why it's with the wait. Amazing drum programming, subby bass, warm stabs & a tripped vocal make this a superb return for Rob & we're incredibly proud to have him back on the label.

Finally, the EP is closed off in warm & dubby style with "The Golden Ratio", from label boss Al Bradley. Swirling pads & a dub-house style create a superbly warm affair, this works perfectly in both warm-up or deep afterhours sets, showcasing Al's deeper side. With vinyl releases lined up for 2021 on Reflections Of Yesterday, Rejekts, Call & Response, We're Going Deep, plus his artist album on 3am later in 2021, it's looking like a solid year of wax for Al.

Last time we heard from Giuliano Lomonte, back in June 2020, he was working in cahoots with like-minded pal and fellow Berlin resident Alexis Carbrera. Here he makes his first appearance on Half Baked Records, in the process delivering his first solo single since 2019. The standout is arguably A-side 'Activator', a tactile, tech-tinged dancefloor roller in which spoken word snippets and fluttering electronic motifs cluster around a typically chunky and shuffling groove. The Italian producer opts for a deeper and more hypnotic vibe on the deep house/tech-house fusion of 'Control Center', before reaching for starry electronics, bubbly synth-bass and loose-limbed late '90s style tech-house beats on 'Secret House'.

For its eleventh record, Daydream showcases a new quartet of upcoming talents from Netherlands and UK: Jos Lok, Benjamin Joseph, Parsec and Nayve. The various highlights everything that makes the imprint’s signature: stellar sounds supported by forceful rhythms - the right blend of deep vibes and minimal mood.

The EP titled "Venere pribegind" tells the two part story of Venere (Venus) and her eternal odyssey around the Sun, as we gaze upon it on our wild blue yonder. At dusk, she walks the heavens in a spirited, yet sorrow pace, a reminder of the dawn that follows.

Melodize builds on a fine first release with a new one from Beartrax that comes with big remixes from Clarian and Lauer. Having worked with labels such as Lost Diaries and Motek and seeing numerous releases appear in the Beatport charts, American artist Beartrax is a man in form right now.

Ethereal is a slick melodic house cut with far sighted chords and rolling drums. It's about getting lost in the majesty of the musical colour and allowing the emotions to wash over you. Clarian then remixes after many years making a name for his synth heavy sounds thanks to releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep and here comes correct once more. His offering is deep and melodic, with a slick cosmic lead over shuffling, icy beats taking you away.

Lauer then closes out with a more edgy remix that has big synth chords riding up and down the scale and plenty of retro feels to the beats.

When Kellerkind published his first tracks on Sirion Records in 2008, nobody ever considered the success story of Marco Biagini's alter ego.
Eight years later he looks back on numerous releases, among others on Stil vor Talent, Flash, KaterMukke or Hive Audio. His record debut on Sirion in 2012 another breakthrough, with special mention required for the title song "Disco on the Dancefloor". It's with this song that Kellerkind has definitely won the hearts of his audience and thus left a lasting aftertaste which continues until today.
His fourth EP on Sirion with the promising title "Way Out" builds up on the 2010 published Altro Mondo EP. Three reduced Techhouse tracks promising pure dancefloor feeling with finely assorted forward directional sound elements and smooth deepness. The slightly hypnotic vocal smasher in Christian Nielsen Remix carries nicely with the three tracks in every way and completes the catalog number 42 elegantly.

Adlibitum Tum Tunes debuts as the new sublabel from Mixcult Records, focused entirely on refined, well-crafted deep house. Farid Odilbekov opens the gate with his EP “Annex” letting in elements like sharp rhythm shuffles, spoken-word vocals and a very distinctive bassline that can set to motion even the numbest bodies. Saturn Drive is back with their second installment by Dutch veteran, Lauhaus. Title track “Mel Gibson” is a tech-house anthem which made it's rounds in the ibiza circuit, pre-covid, more notably at Circo Loco compliments of Seth Troxler. Second track, Seance, is a late night trippy banger built to hit bodies and minds. B-side “Taste Buds” comes with a vinyl only original version which brings a funky touch to the catchy vocal and spaced out ambient. The remix, by the mighty Ray Okpara, delves into minimal psychedelia to great effect.

Vlad Dinu opens Mihai Bravu's 1st release starting the audio journey with 'Deep in my house' , a track that occupies the entire A side, just like a proper tool should.
As the name of the track hints, we find ourselves submerged in deep territory : a tight and groovy bass line, laced with a steady percussion, sprinkled with some 16bit arcade reminiscent accents and soothing intermingled vocal cuts. The deep vibe is crafty perpetuated by several synths at play,
which together combine in such a way to add a wide atmospheric feel to the composition. Definitely 'Deep in my house' sounds and feels more like of a 90's tune, and while listening to it, one could easily find himself drift into the nostalgia of the good old days.
Side B goes even deeper with two tracks defined by the notion of 'head tracks' . 'Gun Zah' continues the storyline with twisty percussive rhythms and a groovy atmosphere, tailored into a bangin floor choon while 'Questions Answered' submerges the listener into layers of groovy basslines, swifty percs and milky synths, all put together into the form of a most 'alive' track.

Presence Unknown is a vinyl and digital label curated by longtime producer and DJ, Neil Keating aka Controlled Weirdness. Neil has been behind the decks and deeply involved in all aspects of club and underground sound system culture since the early Eighties. He has released his music on numerous underground labels and performed all over the world, from plush clubs to dirty warehouses. Worth a read are a couple of published articles by Neil regarding his experiences on the dance floor of underground clubs in London and New York in the Eighties. See links at the bottom of this page for these as well as a detailed biography and discography. There is also a link to a recent 40-minute interview with Distant Planet TV that explores his cultured rave history.

The third release on Presence Unknown contains four slamming tunes, crafted with precision by Controlled Weirdness using a variety of analogue and digital machines in his South London studio. The A-side features some deep and bass heavy electro acid for the dance floor. "Ghosts of the Heygate" and "Running on Empty" feature rolling 808 boom with 303 groove. The flip side starts off with "Are you angry or are you boring?" a future-retro rave anthem with lately bass and killer mentasm stabs and has been destroying dance floors on dub during Controlled Weirdness’ DJ sets the past six months. The EP closes with, "Strange Desires", a slow, sleazy, slinky and salacious groove. Music from the margins. Presence Unknown.

Edinburgh based producer Gallonigher presents his full EP on Reductive. After his last release in 1999, he is back in force with this true Tech House four tracker, written and produced in 2001. Full send.

Limited to 200 copies, this release is the fifth and final ep of the 5 x 12" from the Thomas Brinkmann Retrospektiv 5xlp box set. The 5 individual 12" will be released through 2018/19. Thomas Brinkmann is one of the great producers of Techno music and modern dance music. He initially gained notoriety in the experimental electronic music and Techno community for his full-length 'variations' of material by Wolfgang Voigt under his Mike Ink moniker, and Richie Hawtin. The variations were made by playback of the original artist records on a turntable of Brinkmann's design, which has two tone arms with separate outputs for left and right channels. The turntables were then pitched down from 33rpm to 27rpm and the results recorded and mixed. Both Voigt and Hawtin were sufficiently impressed they released the results on their own labels. Since then Thomas Brinkmann has produced some all-time classic dance tracks, many of which are collected here in what is a personal selection by Thomas Brinkmann himself. There are unreleased tracks, different versions, and tracks that have never been released on vinyl.
