Five... four... three... two... one...With the latest album from dance producer Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, Norway's latest entry in the space race has been launched out of the wooded outskirts of Oslo. Six Cups Of Rebel, Lindstrøm's fourth solo album, is a super-sized cosmic disco rocket that burns up a galaxy of eclectic influences in its wake, from Bach to Deep Purple, from Prog rock and arpeggiator disco to Acid House, while sounding sleek and utterly contemporary. He may worship at the temple of godlike European DJs from the 80s like Daniele Baldelli and Beppe Loda, but the relentless, occasionally monumental scale of Six Cups Of Rebel has the power to move mountains all by itself.

The debut 12" by electronic diviner Secret Circuit - aka Eddie Ruscha (also of Laughing Light of Plenty & Food of the Gods) - is now the physical property of earth's people.

The two tracks contained herein traveled across distant seas & sands in search of an altar from which to radiate, finally landing in the lap of Beats In Space for the label's second ever release.
On "Nebula Sphynx" analog synths & sequencers burn deep like a tincture of jack house and ham-fisted experimental attack music. The track features special guest circuit Cole MGN (The Samps, Nite Jewel), who gives the "Sphynx" an extra crispy, cosmic crunch.

Ruscha keeps the meters peaking on "Parascopic Rope" with randy drum machine blasts and Casio SK-wanderings. WARNING: Portals to astral planes may suddenly appear between speakers while spinning this side. Each 12" from Beats in Space features original artwork in considerate & serial form. BIS002 12" features artwork by CF (aka - Providence-based artist Christopher Forgues), purveyor the Powr Mastrs comic book epic and a finely-tweaked & tuned in dude.

The 12" packaging constructed by Will Work For Good features a removable vinyl BIS logo cling.

Jan Driver's infamous imprint Grand Patrol and Heckmann's outpost AFU Limited collaborate to bring you three murder funky and fat tunes by the mixmaster Jan Driver ! - L' is a more than great dancefloor bomb with it's Tech-House flavoured fat beats and big mean bassline and bleeps ! This one also gets a remix treatment by none other than Mr. Harry Axt (aka Daniel Steinberg, ...) who was shaking and rattling the Japanese with it on his recent tour ! They were going nuts !!!
Followed by a nice and sweet Techno-House finish with the - X' track !
This is funky and badass as hell and will rock the clubs worldwide for sure !

Once again, Erol Alkan and Boys Noize have teamed up, for what has become a stunning re-imagining of last years smash single 'Avalanche'.. Determined to avoid a taking an obvious route, the pair originally intended to commision a spoken word interpretation- the natural choice was the melifluous Jarvis Cocker.

It may seem a strange proposition but perhaps there is a collective consciousness that can leave one club flat and makes another club fly; a presiding force that guides people through the peaks and troughs of a DJs record selection.

January 2012 sees the release of the debut The 2 Bears album Be Strong. A London record through and through, it ducks and weaves to the myriad sounds of the city, as The 2 Bears Raf Daddy and Joe Goddard pursue the perfect party record.
Alongside tracks like Be Strong, Church and the mighty Bear Hug - a pummeling treatise on the benefits of the peak time dancefloor cuddle - Raf and Joe mutate genres into previously unheard territories of dancehall country on the bouncing prison yard lament Time In Mind and garage reggae on Heart Of the Congos, a track that manages to simultaneously channel both Wookie and early '80s Madness before placing them each at a system in the heart of Notting Hill Carnival at dusk.
Raf Daddy - aka Raphael Rundell - met Joe Goddard (taking time out from his day job as one fifth of Hot Chip) through a party scene that saw them share deck duties at the legendary Greco-Roman parties. Upon venturing into the studio in an attempt to replicate some of the records that they'd lost themselves in the night before, Raf found himself laying
down vocals over Joe's skipping, bassomatic backing tracks safe in the knowledge that they'd soon be replaced by someone with sweeter, more melodious tones. In the end, it was Raf's voice that characterized and personalized The 2 Bears.

Around this time, Takkyu founded an indie label, "PLATIK".In 2006, he formed a unit "InK" with Hiroshi Kawanabe of TOKYO No.1 SOUL SET, and released the original full album "C-46" from Ki/oon Records under InK's name.
