letzten Teil der 2014er Trilogie der Kult-Band aus dem Ruhrgebiet THE
ETERNAL AFFLICT vorliegen.
Love ist wohl das absolute No-Go-Wort in allen Lyrics, die The Eternal
Afflict bisher veröffentlicht haben. Sänger und Texter Cyan bricht sein
eigenes Tabu und betitelt eine EP mit ...And Inbetween Love.
Doch alles was großartig ist, sollte auch die richtige Überschrift
haben.
Der letzte Teil der Trilogie beschreibt Cyans Weg zwischen Hass,
Ablehnung, Verfluchen und Liebe. Verbindlicher könnte ein

James Blake heads up the debut release on 1-800-DINOSAUR with two tracks showcasing the new labels forward facing manifesto. 1-800-DINOSAUR is the brainchild of both Dan Foat, the man behind R&S Records revival and Blake who also run the 1-800-DINOSAUR club night together with Airhead, Klaus and Mr Assister at Plastic People in London.

The release leads with metallic house banger 'Voyeur Dub', tried and tested to devastating effect on the Plastic People dance floor in 2012, leading to a shortened arrangement of the song finding its way onto Blake's critically acclaimed sophomore album 'Overgrown'. On the flip 'And Holy Ghost' is a beat-less sojourn into the future soundscapes of electronic music and a deft reminder of Blake's ability at traversing genres with ease.

New Dawn Baba Stiltz hails from a tradition of funky outcasts centred around the calm yet unpredictable city of Stockholm, Sweden. Since his infant days he's been guided through the nitty-gritty basics of what it is to be a true music lover by some of the city's most prolific artists, producers and djs. Despite his youth, 20-year-old Baba boasts an impressive discography, with two albums of dreamy folk-pop (as The Betlehem Beard Corporation) and a string of hit singles within the elusive Skweee scene already under his belt. His more recent studio adventures have led to three 12' releases on Stockholm dance label Studio Barnhus as well as recurring production work for post-rap phenomenon Yung Lean. Total is Baba's debut album under his own name and his finest work to date. The first release by Sous Section 5 since 2008's "6 Flights" EP comes in the form of an endless-loop cassette. Originally designed for repetetive announcements in shopping centres and other public address situations, the endless loop cassette is also perfectly suited to SS5's lulling, wave-like piece "Sonsuz" - the title of which is the Turkish word for "endless", "limitless", "infinite" or "immeasurable".
The extremely limited cassette (only 50 copies for the world) comes hand-assembled in a black metallised sheilding bag, complete with transparent poly-flex casing.

This EP kicks off with the synth-funk of Claudius and title track Solid. The insistently catchy Shake Your Head & Go! is a dance floor bomb whilst on the B side smashers Damn Thang and Bip Bap are juxtaposed with the afro-influenced Hum. The duo show their softer side to close the EP with In Love« avec beaucoup d'amour » and a healthy dose of sub bass.

Medical Records is beyond elated to finally present to the world the first official reintroduction and reissue of the iconic IKO "83" LP. This coveted album by minimal synth aficionados around the globe has been out of print and very rare since it's original release in 1982. Hailing from Montreal, Canada, IKO has always been shrouded in mystery. All 3 members come from an academic background (electroacoustic composition, etc), and they met at the University of Montreal in the music department. Taking from their collective influences of 60's pop, prog and minimalist composers as well as early industrial, they played in a few early bands before solidifying the all-synth incarnation of IKO in it's definitive lineup. The LP was originally released on Manhattan Formula. Other than Rational Youth, the Montreal synth scene was small, and the band broke up not too long after it's release. Over the years, it has slowly achieved cult status of the highest order and now fetches inflated collector's prices on the open market. It even prompted an unauthorized bootleg LP a few years ago (of much inferior sound quality). The master for this very special reissue is transferred and EQ'ed from the master analog tapes. The opening track "Approach On Tokyo" sets the mood with it's electro hooks and almost "Trans-Europe Express" synth parts. "Gonadotropic Synthesis" is an amazing slow and beautiful synthy melodic number which blurs the lines between love song and a lecture on hormonal interplay out of a medical textbook". "Digital Delight" is a fast paced dance floor favorite with cyborg lyrics and catchy hooks. The LP contains one never before heard bonus track "Jungle City" which is a bit of a more ominous and dark track as compared to the other album tracks. This LP will appeal to the legions of people who have been patiently waiting for an official reissue as well as the un-initiated fans of classic synth pop, Kraftwerk, early Human League and the like. Features a bonus insert with interview and retrospective by Dave Segal. Additional remastering by Martin Bowes at the Cage, London. Presented on high-quality 180gram heavyweight half and half yellow and black vinyl.

Tom Ellard is the creative force behind Australian post-punk band Severed Heads. In 1982 he self-released two cassettes of solo material, '80s Cheesecake' and 'Snappy Carrion'. These cassettes document the transitional period between the early experimental Severed Heads' albums 'Clean' and 'Blubberknife' before the start of something new with 'Since The Accident'. With the advent of the then new Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, a machine synonymous with the acid house sound, Tom began to write more beat driven material
