Following an acclaimed release on Ancient Monarchy and ahead of his debut for Blackest Ever Black, Rhythmic Theory returns to Idle Hands for the third time. 'Future Tense' channels the spirit of era defining mid-90s DnB but twists it with a contemporary techno feel. A contemporary of Livity Sound and Hodge, Rhythmic Theory's music sits closely to theirs but with a distinct sound palette all of his own. Never one to seek the limelight he has been working behind the scenes in the West Country music scene for many years, only now getting the recognition he deserves. The same could be said of our choice of remixer, DJ October - who here turns in a killer version of the original in the shape of 'Death Is Certain Dub'. FBNM presents two killer cuts by Finnish House and Techno master Jori Hulkkonen and we've backed them up with a beefy dub mix from the genius international collaboration of Balihu Records head honcho Daniel Wang and J.E.E.P. aka Jules Etienne.

It's all in the arpeggios as Jori headlines with 'Something Left To Learn' an homage to italo disco in both sound design and methodology. Written almost exclusively using the rare Italian made Solton Programmer 24 (1985), he turns out an authentic moody original of groovy electronic bleeps, disco drums and emotive pads whilst featuring some heavily effected vocals of his own!

Daniel Wang and J.E.E.P. continue to collaborate and this time with a mix at the personal request of Mr Hulkkonen, they don't fail to impress! Their Dub-apella treatment strips back the arrangement and pull out the heart, giving back some breathing space to the mix, but if only so they can add some disco percussion and fatten everything right back up again!

Finally 'Distant Cities' sees the android Hulkkonen head deep into the future, Detroit 2192 to be exact. Detuned oscillators and dissonant keys pump out over a precisely rigid drum machine groove chorused with the wonkiest robotic vox you've ever heard! A big one for the late night dance floor freaks...

And as usual FBNM provides on point mastering from Andreas LUPO Lubich at Calyx, Berlin and a complete custom colour sleeve design for the fully premium vinyl experience!

Fis will release his debut album, The Blue Quicksand Is Going Now, on June 29th, 2015. Following a series of EPs on the likes of Samurai Horo and Tri Angle, the record was written by Olly Peryman during stints living in Europe and his hometown of Wellington, New Zealand, and strikes a spectacular balance between the meditative and disruptive. The Album marks a continued move away from the high-octane experimental D&B productions that initially marked him out (notably 2012's Duckdive EP), towards something that both viciously rips away and cascades with calm. Ultimately, despite its alien sounds, it is a move towards something more human, sonic explorations made in glorious isolation.

The Mexican collective Future Feelings is made up of Fernando Dimare, Juan Soto (an existing Nang warrior), Thomass Jackson and Dan Solo. The talented bunch make accessible dance tunes which are easily at home on the floor or for listening too. After a string of festivals and appearances in South America and a slew of remixes (for artists such as Lindstrom, Donna Summer, Goldroom, Treasure Fingers and The Knocks) we are pleased to be releasing their debut album on Nang.

The album seamlessly darts from leftfield electronic-art pop to dance floor energizers to downtempo soundscapes. What is for sure however is the song-writing is key in each track. The package all hangs together with a production sheen which is polished, adventurous and accomplished.

The album opens up with the guitar driven mood piece "Over Me" featuring Karla Gonzalez. Sounding like a cross between an Anthony and The Johnsons album track and a smoldering Carly Simon album track from 1978 it opens up the album with the lightest of touches. All before heading to locked on groove territory with "Find Out" and "Creature Of The Night" (sounding like the Scissor Sisters taking a funk lesson).

Next is recent single "Downtown Girl", which mixes a solid European dance floor groove with a touch of New York / DFA indie 1982 nu-wave. "Rite There"is another song piece, this time driven by smooth picked acoustic guitar and a sublime vocal. "Empty" adds touches of Zero 7 and Ibiza and "Jungle Light" and "Don't Let Go" take things to a funkier plane.

"The Feeling" is a pure Nang sound.. stabby synth, rolling disco synths and punchy bassline.. .all wrapped up with a smooth vocal. "Can't Hide It" is next bringing the emotive song to the for once more before we finish proceedings with the uptempo "Wonder" with its 80's synth stomper greatness.

Imagine there is a seven-headed rythmic beast with a percussionist, drummer, bassist, keyboardist, two horn players, and a DJ up on the stage embracing the musical totality of the world without any folklore kitsch, its subtlety and urban club grooves crossing various divisions in musical genre. Feindrehstar is standing on the stage. The studio recordings of this unique Jena-based band have long been known to capture the live energy of their onstage performances. And now Feindrehstar presents their second album named - Love & Hoppiness - fve years after their brilliant debut - Vulgarian Knights . A lot has happened in the meantime: countless club and festival gigs, an inspiring African tour as well as countless hours spent working in the studio. - Love & Hoppiness matured over three years, a musical puzzle that was composed at different locations - the frst recordings developed in the fall of 2012 with Michel Baumann (Soulphiction, Jackmate) and Nik Reiff in Stuttgart. Further overdubs with a trombone, violoncello, guitar and vocals followed at various home studios and conservatories. That's right, vocals have been brought onboard this otherwise instrumental band. Owing to these vocal tracks with Dave Aju, Ebo Taylor and Tina Keserovic on the microphone, Feindrehstar's sound continues to develop. Jazz, soul and funk vibes shine through on tracks like - Antelope , a track featuring the vocals and guitar of legendary Ghanaian musician Ebo Taylor. however in the end, things got mellow and he had so much fun that he recorded guitar tracks with enthusiasm. It was clear right from the start that everything clicked with Dave Aju - the smooth soul-soaked hiphop of - From Bob To Stevie standing out on the album. Feindrehstar call their music Krautclub, and the reason brought to become clear in - Caje Sukarije : a classic Balkan funk sound taken over by wild synth loops that become fused together in a haze of electro-funk. It is in act a Roma anthem sung by Tina Keserovic. The album akes a chiller, newer direction with - The New Ballad, - Blues For Bagdad as well as the completely acoustic ballad - Love & Hoppiness Int. with cello and clarinet, anchoring the album in a captivating calm.Despite the many new directions, the genre defying yet danceable club sound of Feindrehstar remains. - Love & Hoppiness , - Deep Horse , - Shake That und - Night Rainer Diskodub show once again that after 15 years of rocking dance foors, Feindrehstar's energy hasn't diminished. Autechre Tour Support Cygnus Announces Radical User Interfaces EP On Central Processing Unit.

Dallas based artist Cygnus returns to Central Processing Unit with his fourth release for the Sheffield based future facing electro imprint with his Radical User Interfaces EP. The EP's release will coincide with Autechre's North American tour this autumn, on which Cygnus has been announced as support joining the Warp act's resident tour DJ Rob Hall for all 19 dates.

Invoking scenes from possible intergalactic situations Cygnus runs the four track offering off bit crunched funk, machinic constructs and glistening synth work. The artwork as with all CPU releases has been created by Sheffield based design collective Human; pressed to white vinyl the record is limited to 300 copies.

Summer 2015, illustrious festivals everywhere, gigantomania and superlatives without frontiers. Who's looking for the small, fine and familiar alternative to the existing festival formats will find what they are looking for at the 'day at the sea'. Once a year the picturesque backdrop at the beach on the island of Rügen get filled with life.

At our festival in Prora a lot of hand-picked live-artists and DJ's create a musical universe from Reggae over Downtempo up to House and Techno. With the first 'day at the sea' EP our acts BONDI, Verschnibbt & Zugenäht, Masterton with his remix for Moby and Tagträumer² bring a bit of that special beach feeling onto the 'black gold'. Exclusive songs let you imagine the scent of salty air and make the anticipation of a refreshing jump in the Baltic Sea come alive.

Pinkman boss Marsman lines up the next 12' on his Charlois imprint and in doing so welcomes back good friend and label inaugurator Dollkraut.

Having steadily released a collection of extolled records, the idiosyncratic Dutchman remains in search of ancient mysteries and follows up The Gym LP 'Schimanski's Black Lullabies' for with another varied cut - this one brimming with grubby percussion, vocoder tones and faint yet compelling homages to the traditional music of Mexico and Spain.

'Mastermaster' kicks things off and drives a shifting sequence through a lo-fi break, plodding piano notes and a clipped, lively vocal hook before 'Bruce Wayne' melds spring reverb and squelching flangers to treat guitar riffs and more 80's drums. Eerily wobbling synths shimmer over head before 'Hornet Green' drives a sprung kick under tense, soundtrack synth tones and a sandy shuffle as a cinematic pursuit is rendered.

'Valium' then sets sultry vocals floating through more hazy drum breaks and softly shifting chords. Rhythmic variation and more vintage effects wade in and round off off a refreshing package of rich and intriguing gems and another fine addition to the Charlois series.

Legendary Finnish electro pioneers Mr Velcro Fastener return after a very long absence with this long-awaited and much-anticipated EP on Cyber Dance Records. Full of the same funked-out, quirky and fresh futuristic sounds that brought them instant recognition in the 90s electro underground the 'TKU' EP sounds like the innovative duo never went away, effortlessly picking up where they left off. 'Brinkkala' opens proceedings with their classic signature brand of Detroit-meets-Finland robotic funk jamming, while the next track 'Bridge Over Nothing' delivers harder and punchier rhythms deftly topped with layers of spaced-out chords and shimmering noises - and a relentless bassline that builds and progresses the grooves to alien dimensions of sheer electro brilliance. The sonic assault continues on Side B with 'Ologrammed', a pulsating monster of a track that pushes the Velcro Fastener sound into ethereal realms that evoke the likes of Technasia or The Hacker in their mid-90s heyday. The EP closes with 'Johnny's Wood', a funked-up, jazzed-out and upbeat adventure over-brimming with robotic positivity and electronic optimism. Kaum ein anderer Musiker an der Schnittstelle zwischen Elektro und Popmusik wird so leidenschaftlich
verehrt wie Apparat. Mühelos vereint der Wahl-Berliner die unerschöpflichen Soundwelten der elektronischen
Musik mit der emotionalen Tiefe des Indie. Apparat macht Musik zum Abrocken und Mitsingen und Musik
zum Wegdriften und darin Eintauchen. Mit Moderat, seiner Kooperation mit dem DJ-Duo Modeselektor, steht
er seit Jahren regelmäßig auf Festival-Bühnen, er war bei John Peel zu Gast und schreibt Theatermusik.
Doch Apparat hat auch ein fantastisches, radikal-elektronisches Frühwerk zu bieten. Weil das nicht jeder
parat hat, bringt das Label Shitkatapult seine ersten drei Alben remastert im Delux-Box-Set heraus. Darin
enthalten: das Debüt "Multifunktionsebene", das Apparat 2001 im zarten Alter von 21 veröffentlichte, sowie
sein Opus Magnum "Tttrial And Eror" (2002) und "Duplex" (2003), das Album, in dem er der Elektronik

Robert Crash is an alias of Italian DJ and producer Fransesco Schito and now he makes a debut outing on Creme Organization with a tidy four track EP. In the past he has turned up on Dog In The Night Records, and with these cuts lays out his singular take on outlier house and techno. Up first is 'Gigolo', a spare and weird house cut with sine waves and random claps, hunched drums and trippy synth lines. It's a unique track made in a unique way and will lead to plenty of freaky dance floor moments, for sure. 'Co. Art' is a whacked out techno cut with slap-funk claps, blistering and blistered synth lines and a rugged bit of bass underlining it all. The track is cavernous and metallic, empty and distant as if it somehow survived a nuclear blast. On the flip, 'Alzheimer' is a slow and gurgling, swampy techno number with broken drums and crawling synths that sound like their batteries have run down. Icy, watery melodies eventually rain down, but the track remains resolutely eerie. Last of all, 'Fabric' is another decaying track with subtle, heavily filtered synths and drums all making for a minimal groove that is barely there. This is heavily deconstructed music that sounds like little else out there and may well be the start of a very fast rise through the ranks for Robert Crash.

Following the success of the digital release of Sleazy McQueen's You Know How EP, upstart label, CVMR were compelled to press the remixes to vinyl.

The proceedings open in superb style thanks to The Revenge's Live Dub. A bass heavy tool with equal parts classic house and disco, with a touch of Arthur Baker-style drums. On A2, Sleazy McQueen's Space Coast take things to the basement with the help of Romano Arcaini (Latenight Society), warm rhodes, live bass and an absolute drum-break-freakout add a decidedly different dub flavor to the package.
B/W Compost Black's main man Kasper Bjorke offers his acid tinged interpretation, driven by a gritty saw-wave bass hook, rolling snare hits, wanderings arps and crunchy drums, a simply stunning piece of music as expected from the undeniably talented
Copenhagen born producer. Closing out the remix EP, CVMR in-house producer, Century strips back the vibe to a dropped tempo, emotive workout fuelled be heavily reverberated piano chords, echoing vocal lines and a general chuggy, low-slung vibe throughout.

Fantastic release by CN, also known as EOD (check out his release on 03030 records!). Retro futuristic electro tracks in the spirit of the Detroit originals by this talented producer named Stian Gjevik from Norway. Recommended!

STERAC aka Steve Rachmad has reached back to the first album 100% Pure ever released in 1995 - the classic milestone in the history of Detroit Techno 'Secret Life of Machines' and has given it a whole new lease of musical life for release this summer.
17 years ago, in a make shift studio at his parent's house, Steve Rachmad crafted his first album Secret Life of Machines under the moniker STERAC, using his music machines (Roland TR-808, R-8m, U-20, Juno 106, JX 8p, Yamaha TX-81z and FB-01).

When the Golden Filter sent us 6 tracks to choose from for an EP release on Optimo Music, we were struggling to choose just 4 as we loved them all so much, so we decided to take all of them and put two that we felt were perhaps more DJ friendly out on Optimo Trax. "Heavy" (it is!) and "Outimacy" are both tried and tested in the clubs, two wild electronic signals with advanced synthetic sound design and monumental production. Boom!

We turned to Morgan Hammer to take on the other side (both sides are A sides!). After being blown away by hearing her DJ and finding out that most of the tracks we wanted to know the identities of were her own work, we chose two tracks that are mighty in their own right while also complementing the tracks by The Golden Filter. "Arrogant Bastard" gets asked about every time it is played out. Lounge-Atmosphäre zu verbinden. Sei es Claude Challe in den 90ern oder nun DJ Ravin: Die Elektronik
spielte bei der Auswahl der Musik für die Compilations und in den Locations unter diesem Namen immer eine
große Rolle. Dies war der Grund für das kleine Pariser Label George V, den Club-Aspekt in einer Compilation
mal ganz in den Vordergrund zu stellen. An den Turntables steht DJ Ravin, der einige der besten Tracks der
Deep-Electronic-Szene zusammenfügt - und sie mit einigen geheimnisvollen Zutaten aufpeppt.

Ólafur Arnalds und Nils Frahm legen mit der Doppel-CD "Collaborative Works" eine Sammlung ihres bisherigen Schaffens vor. Sie enthält neben den drei bisher erschienenen Vinyl-EPs "Loon", "Stare" und "Life Story Love And Glory" sieben Songs aus ihrem "Trance Frendz"-Studiofilm. "Stare" (2012) war die allererste gemeinsame Veröffentlichung von Ólafur Arnalds und Nils Frahm - ein wirkliches Familienprojekt, das 2011 zusammen mit der Cellistin Anne Müller zwischen Reykjavík und Berlin stattfand. "Loon" (2015) ist eine vom Synthesizerklang angetriebene 5-Track EP, die im Herbst 2014 in Nils' Durton-Studio in Berlin aufgenommen wurde und den Ambient-Sound von "Stare" fortführt, jedoch unter der Hinzugabe von perkussiveren Elementen und Dub-Einflüssen. "Life Story Love And Glory" (2015) sind zwei Improvisation an zwei
Klavieren, die im Oktober 2012 ebenfalls bei Frahm in Berlin aufgenommen wurden, "Trance Frendz" (2015) ist die Audioaufnahme ihres intimen, 46-minütigen Studiofilms gleichen Namens.

Schluss ist, wenn wir es sagen! Somit endet das (musikalische) Jahr schon am 23. Oktober. Nach
